Today, the gang takes care of some last minute party prep. Sam puts out all the food that Dean had prepared, Jack cleans up the morning's breakfast, Cas rearranges some furniture to be more party friendly, and Dean finishes up some last minute decorations, putting up the mistletoe he'd saved in the doorway connecting the kitchen to the hall. At around 3:00 PM, people begin to filter in. First to arrive is Charlie, who was in town for a convention. Although they had adamantly told all of their guests that there would be plenty of food, Charlie brings some gingerbread anyways. As guests trickle in, Dean is silently counting heads, hoping the food he'd prepared is enough for everyone. Donna and Jody enter and immediately move to catch up with Sam and Dean. Claire, Alex, Kaia, and Patience all beeline for Jack, with whom they begin to gossip, comparing the drama they had picked up from their respective housemates. Rowena comes fashionably late, as always, with plenty of solstice decor to lend to the bunker for protection. After mingling, greeting close friends and lesser known friends of friends, a slightly overwhelmed Dean steps into the kitchen, taking some space to himself under the guise of washing dishes.

After a few minutes of scrubbing the same stubborn pan, he jumps at the unexpected presence of Cas, who has appeared at his side, silently drying and putting away dishes. After Dean has regained his social battery, he takes a deep breath and starts back out to the party, Cas following him. Dean grabs Cas's arm, realizing what doorway they've found themselves in. He looks up at the mistletoe, then back at Cas. Clearing his throat, Dean slides his hand from its position gripped on the angel's bicep down to his hand. He raises Cas's hand in his own, pressing his lips against it lightly. After a beat, he moves back a bit, mumbling something about superstition and tradition, only to be cut off by a kiss on the cheek from Cas, who softly asks Dean if he has participated in the tradition correctly. Dean stammers out an affirmative as they return to the party, where Dean recives a curious glance from Charlie from across the room.

I’m sure I’m not the only one who notices this but I just have point it out…

I know that the original concept was that the descendant’s character designs were based of the original Disney animated characters, but let’s be forreal the characters didn’t really look like their parents…

Besides similar (sometimes barely) colour pallets Mal doesn’t really look like the Disney animated Maleficent.

But she does look like…

And it keeps going…

For crying allowed both Belle (OUAT) and Ben are played by Australians… coincidence! I think not🖤

Okay, both times you guys have guessed correctly, so I’ve upped the difficulty a little bit with this one. So! People who have never watched Once Upon a Time (or haven’t watched it in a long time) which of these things am I lying about?

Once Upon a Time really was that show that had so much potential. Like fairytales in the real world is not necessarily a new concept, but to be executed on this massive scale? It's so fresh and interesting

Like you have a good story about love prevailing over all else, echoing the Disney movies but still making it relevant to adults, award-winning actors, twisting the original tales into something darker, having one character represent several entities (Rumplestiltskin, Beast, Crocodile, etc), it all has the makings of something entirely unique. Taking the things of the past and molding them into something new, but still having it be nostalgic

If they had stuck it to maybe 3-4 seasons, having more of an overarching, several season villain rather than someone who pops up every now and then, limiting the amount of characters so it wouldn't feel too bloated, and making things actually have consequences, it could have been a real gem of a show

But noooo, we just have to stick Elsa and Anna in there, we just have to do the curse trope fifty times, we just have to bring in Maleficent and Ursula and Cruella and Hades and all of them having beef with Regina, we just have to have Belle staying with Rumple after all his toxic bullshit, we just have to create another lazy copy of Zelena as the next villain, we just have to Miraculous Ladybug everything after two minutes of drama so everything is perfectly fine, we just have to--

Today, Dean is up early in the morning working on his dishes for Thanksgiving. He has Castiel working on dishwashing duty, while Jack tries to rush their assistant chef duties during commercial breaks of the parade and dog show. While Dean puts the finishing touches on his masterpiece of a meal, guests trickle into the bunker. Jody and Donna show up first along with Claire, Alex, Patience and Kaia. Charlie and Rowena end up arriving at around the same time and get to talking about real magic versus fantasy magic. Dean's dinner is subject to rave reviews and was loved by all. He makes up plates for everyone to take home as left overs, proud to know everyone will likely be eating his food for the next few days.
