🇪🇸 Shane West, cuyo nombre de nacimiento es Shannon Bruce Snaith, nació en 1978 en Baton Rouge, Louisiana, hijo de Leah, abogada, y Don Snaith, dueño de una farmacia. A los quince años comenzó su carrera actoral, obteniendo pequeños papeles en televisión. Su gran avance llegó en 1999 con su participación en la serie de ABC Once and Again. West se destacó en películas como Liberty Heights (1999) y Whatever It Takes (2000), y ganó popularidad en el romance adolescente A Walk to Remember (2002), junto a Mandy Moore. He began his acting career at the age of fifteen, landing minor roles in TV shows. His big break came in 1999 with the ABC series Once and Again. West gained recognition in films such as Liberty Heights (1999) and Whatever It Takes (2000), and became a teen heartthrob in A Walk to Remember (2002) alongside Mandy Moore. He also portrayed Tom Sawyer in The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen (2003) and Darby Crash in the biopic What We Do Is Secret (2007). On television, he starred as Michael in Nikita (2010-2013) and John Alden in Salem (2014). In addition to acting, West continues his family's musical tradition, writing and playing guitar for his band, Average Jo. His father, born in Jamaica, is of mostly English and Sephardic Jewish descent, while his mother is from a Cajun (French) family in Louisiana.
