It’s a strange but interesting tale. My ancestors on our father’s side came from Germany. Before immigrating to the US, our surname was something like “aus Nashville, Tennessee.”

I’m certain it was a sort of gibberish to them, having never heard of such a place. And I have no doubt that countless generations of my family were ridiculed and bullied for having such a seemingly nonsensical surname.

That kind of generational trauma and adversity can diminish your spirits, but it can also set you on a path toward something greater. And while my brother Joe Hills and I were not born in Nashville, our parents made every effort to move us closer to that place—closer to our destiny.

And so it came to pass in the year 2004 that my brother Joe Hills from Nashville, Tennessee came to live in Nashville, Tennessee. I followed not long after in 2007.

I cannot express how much it puts the mind at ease to have your name align with your geography. It’s magical. It’s breathtaking.

I sincerely hope that anyone who reads this may find the same joy.

Holy moly, this is the second time I've seen Joe Hills from Nashville Tennessee do amazing improve. I had no clue he was so freaking talented!

I just re-found this gem from ZombieCleo's Hermitcraft Season 7 Episode 35.

as if I'd be able to

But Cleo and I we go further than even the power of expression further than the magic of letters forming thoughts

We don't fit within the boxes others have locked our words into

I don't have an answer for them

Can't really label us, huh?

They say things with an easy smirk

perhaps appearing oblivious to others

but I know they're not

Because Cleo speaks with intention so I know what she says I know what she doesn't say I know she agrees with me

Labels are overrated, anyway

Verse comes effortless to me as though phrase is etched deep into my code like the very fabric of my being

Yet I find defining us Cleo and I to be a challenge not faced
