I’m going to have to do these until they finish this dang castle, aren’t I? Favourite moments of Joe and Cleo’s paper model stream Part 4!
--
Cleo (after Zloyxp tried to raid her stream): You should be able to raid me Zloy. In case you’re wondering. You should be able to. If you cannot, well…Cam will check it out.
Joe: Yeah, you can turn off being raidable. But, Zloy, that makes me feel way better about you raiding me knowing you tried to raid Cleo and it failed. Thanks.
Cleo: *laughing*
Joe (bitter): Thanks a lot for that. My—my heart, uh, so full of so many things. Right now.
Cleo: *wheezing*
Zloyxp (in chat): Pix doesn’t play favourites, I do.
--
Joe: *experiencing technical difficulties*
Cleo: You doing ok Joe?
Joe: …Umm…nooo…
--
Joe: I usually do a pumpkin carving stream every year.
Cleo: I knew about that, I knew about that. (reading chat) I’m not going to buy a gourd and carve it for you Cam. No. I mean, we were watching something called like “the greatest pumpkin carvers” or something like that the other day.
Joe: Oh, then you’re familiar with my work.
SILENCE
Cleo: …You can’t see my face.
Joe: *laughing* No, I can’t, but I’m sure it’s—it’s—
Cleo: It’s definitely a picture.
--
Cleo: Now comes the bending of all the little flaps.
Joe (singing to the tune of the Monster Mash): She bent the flaps!
Both singing: She bent the castle flaps!
Cleo: The castle flaps!
Joe: …They’re like folding tabs!
Cleo: *laughing* I can’t do any more. I wish I could. Just not as fast at that as you are.
Joe: Ah, you know, it’s just practice Cleo.
Cleo: Yeah, you say that, but—but you’d have to have a situation to practice in?
Joe: I mean, if you wanted to do a songwriting stream one day, we could go through things like how to brainstorm, how to determine what’s a viable vs. an inviable idea. How to, you know, kind of workshop things--
Cleo: Joe, I’ve listened to some of your songs. I don’t think you know what a viable and inviable idea is.
Joe: I didn’t say commercially viable.
--
Joe: *singing the entirety of Weird Al -The Saga Begins*
Joe: (cutting himself off) Anyway, I’ll stop.
Cleo: That’s ok!
Joe: Cause you’re streaming. If you were not streaming, I would—… (Trails off)
Cleo: I’m ok with you doing that, its fine. It’s—It’s fine. It’s fine.
Joe: *immediately continues singing*
Cleo (15 seconds later): *quietly joins in*
--
Cleo (reading chat): How old do I think Joe is? Joe is about 6 years younger than I am. Ish.
Joe (knowing exactly what he’s doing): Oh! So kind of comparable to Anakin and Padme in Star Wars. *trying not to laugh* For those of you keeping track at home.
Cleo: *Throwing her knife down* Really? Really? That’s what you’re doing to me?
Joe: *uncontrollable laughter*
Cleo: Yeah, yeah. Are we—are we feeding the shippers again today, Joe? Is that what we’re doing?
Joe: I mean, I think technically we were already doing that by singing the Star Wars song at all. So I was just gonna, like, lampshade it. Like, I don’t feel like that’s more fuel on the fire. I feel like that’s just a shade on the lamp.
--
Cleo (reading chat): “I’ve always thought of Joe and Cleo as being more like Jar Jar and Padme” *laughing uncontrollably*
Joe (Jar Jar voice): Me’s a Joe Joe Hills!
Cleo: *physically choking*
Joe: You know though, you laugh now, but when I’m in the senate—
Cleo: When you’re in the senate, I’ll be dying of complications during childbirth, that’s what’ll be happening.
Joe: *trying not to laugh* Yeah, it’s like “we can replace a severed hand, but god forbid you have two children at once!”
--
Cleo (about her cat): She’s just howling so I pay attention to her. I mean, I get that. Someone’s ignoring you.
Joe: Oh, is that why you’re always shrieking during Hermits Helping Hermits!
LONG SILENCE...
Cleo: ...We’re not friends anymore Joe.
--
Cleo (reading chat): “Been listening to Cleo threaten people since 2016.” *laughing* Yeah, that’s—that’s, that’s kind of a thing.
Joe: But it goes way further back than that.
Cleo: *laughing* How long have we known each other now?
--
Joe: I’m getting a lot of messages saying I have nice hands. Feel free to be more descriptive than using the word “nice”. You know, you can say “elegant”, you can say—
Cleo: “nice” is a nothing word. It means nothing!
Joe: Yeah, nice is—nice is a little bit weak. So, chat, you know—
Cleo: UP YOUR ROMANCE GAME!
--
Joe (dejected): No, it’s fine. It’s fine…
Cleo: *laughing* “It’s fine!” He says through tears.
Joe (with anguish): I’m not gonna cry, because the model will get wet.
--
Joe: We just got a tip from Cameron who says “your hands look delicious”. Thank you very much Cameron. That’s going to put us 2 away from our next face camera expansion.
Cleo: That’s a very zombie emotion. Well done.
Joe: Oh! I thought it was—uh, ok. It’s a zombie thing, nevermind!
Cleo (quickly): *laughing* It’s not! It’s not! it’s no—!
Joe: Well, you know, some people—
--
Cleo (receiving a mysterious package from Corpse mid stream): Should I open this on stream Corpse, is the question.
Joe: It’s like, do I need to set the mature filter on? Are there a lot of pictures of hunky boys in here?
SILENCE
Cleo (holding a mug with a picture of Garrus in front of the camera): Wow… *wheeze laughing* It says “Garrus Vakarian is my space boyfriend” *laughing continues*
Joe: I don’t know what that means, but ok.
Cleo: This is the character that I’ve been romancing in Mass Effect.
Joe: Oh, so there is a picture of a hunky boy!
Cleo (trying to justify herself): It—ihunky boy alien, yeah, but—
Joe (not buying it at all): Uh huh
(Cleo’s partner in chat: Imma fight a mug.)
--
Joe (responding to chat): Cleo is in England right now, and I am in Nashville Tennessee. So, we’re both on a call together.
Cleo: Yeah…it’s probably safer, because if we were to meet the world would possibly end. Just out of spite.
Joe: Yeah, it’s one of those, uh—
Cleo: Demonic pacts. It’s one of those demonic pact things.
--
Cleo (in response to Joe’s suggestion regarding her itchy face): I mean, I appreciate your solutions, I’m not sure they are actually solutions. More “solutions”.
Joe: Well, I mean, usually when you air quotes the word “solution”, it’s like you’re indicating like, yah know “oh, you cut the break lines” type thing. Which is not how far I was going.
Cleo: You basically suggested getting a really sharp mammal. And putting it near my face.
Joe: To snuggle!
--
Cleo: Because everything has to be chroma green. Because how else would Joe be obnoxious to people if it wasn’t the chroma green?
Joe: Yeah I know! Also I got new glasses! *giggling*
Cleo: You’re very pretty Joe.
Joe (adorably): Thank you Cleo.

pls i would LOVE to hear about your hermits species headcanons
you know what im gonna elaborate on my headcanons for the ambiguous hermits because theres a lot of them.
grian is obviously inhuman, but his wings seem to change color and design in different seasons. people just assume he's an avian who occasionally glitches into new bird types (people respawning with new features isn't uncommon in the world of minecraft after all) and have never asked. those with keen eyes for magic might notice a trace of admin power and watcher magic on him and connect the dots further, but he won't talk about it.
keralis and joe often seem like they can be in multiple places at once. both of them have just... a spooky aura, but when asked tend to just say "i'm keralis :)" or "i'm joe hills from nashville tennessee." and not elaborate further. they're definitely some kind of cryptids and most people don't want to think too hard about it.
etho has pointed ears and refuses to take the mask off, but otherwise he's categorically human. years of respawns just tends to change people, like the server slowly forgets how to reshape you as a human. still, he thinks its funny when people claim he's some kind of cryptid or fantasy creature so he rolls with it. (tho i am a fan of legitimate cryptid or vampire etho so i keep rolling back and forth on this one)
scar will openly call himself a vex and a wizard and people either think he's joking or just magically forget about it by the time the conversation is over. even people who were there for the convex pranks think it was just a silly name they adopted. something about vex magic just makes people believe he's completely human even when he's trying to peddle magic crystals, so he doesn't bother bringing it up much anymore.
pearl's some kind of moon spirit/moon witch, but hasn't mentioned it much yet because she's new to the server and it's never really relevant. she's not hiding anything, just... hasn't had the need to talk about it, y'know? plus with the whole 'moon big' fiasco it's a little awkward to go around telling everybody on the server that you're linked to the moon.
mumbo was the vicitim of a server glitch, causing him to shift into what he eats. but it's okay! because he ate grian's soul, so he's human again. right? sure it's a little weird that he didn't get any of grian's bird features, but i'm sure everything is fine. he's definitely human. he's sure of it.
bdubs meanwhile... poor guy hasn't been human for 3 seasons now but refuses to admit it. he'll grow moss out of his skin and vines around his arms and still stubbornly insist that he is VERY MUCH A REGULAR HUMAN. maybe you guys are the weird ones. it's totally normal to wilt without sunlight. that's called getting TIRED AT NIGHT thank you get much.
thank u for coming to my ted talk this server is full of cryptids

so i came up with a basic story plot on discord if anyone wants to use it (under the cut)
Basically - Fantasy ish au where stress, grian and joe were kidnaped by watchers and there’s a rebellion
have fun, if you want to write it tag me i would forever be in you debt
So, Stress right? She's a princess of sorts, her family rules over a small area and is kind, though their powers are ice and the area is too far north to produce stable crops year round. She's raised with her siblings, and she loves her area with more of her heart then she can ever say. Visitors - friend and foe alike - say that the frozen lands are the kindest and most peaceful areas around.
However, it doesn't stay that way.
Watchers come and ransack her home, kidnapping her and her siblings before anything can be done to stop them. Stress' parents, although not nearly strong enough to fend off watchers, try their hardest to stop the group from taking their children. Nothing comes of their efforts, but the thought is kind and the price is high. Stress won't know what happens to her parents and people for years, but she knows deep down in her heart that there is nothing left of her home.
The watchers train the teens, or they attempt to. Stress was the only one who did not take her leave through unconventional manors. She survived not through perseverance but through stubbornness, and a fear of dying. Her siblings had one or the other, but not both. None of them would bow to the watchers, but Stress played a careful act of pretending that she did.
The watchers, after deciding that Stress had been trained enough, allowed her to share a room with two other people. Those people were two men who had suffered a similar fate as she did. They had survived where others had not, and now they were chosen by the watchers to room together.
The first few months were tough, Stress had no way of knowing if Xelqua or Poet shared her views and it was clear to her that they didnt fully trust her or each other as well. It was only when, in a moment of stupidity or forgetfulness, Stress sang a song that her sisters would sing that the group stared to warm up to each other. They spoke freely as they could, Poet knowing enough magic to block off the watchers control and Xelqua know enough magic to block any noise from their rooms. Stress told them her real name, and she discovered that Poet is a man named Joe Hills, who hails from a small island that doesn't have a proper name, though he calls the town 'Tennessee' and his house 'Nashville'. He was of noble decent and was a powerful wordsmith, so when the watchers came and ransacked his home they took him as well.
Xelqua, she discovered, was a man by the name of Grian. Grian was chaotic, a prankster and a thief who lived in a large city. His family was rich but not noble of character, and the avian took to stealing things from his home and reselling it to gift the money to any poor people he came across. He was taken as a teen as well, and taught by watchers in a similar way to Stress, with some people who were kidnapped from the streets with him. He struggles to call those people 'friends' after Taurtis and Sam, his closest confidants and best friends, betrayed his thoughts to the watchers, and fell for the watchers propaganda. Grian refuses to talk about what the watchers did to him, but Stress can tell from the scars on his back and his clipped wings that it was something that shouldn't be repeated.
The group holds fast to each other, trying desperately to both stay alive and stay themselves in the hellscape that is the watchers home. Stress plays her role well, as the only person who was raised in royal courts she knows how to bow to someone who does not deserve it. Joe and Grian both struggle, their morals overtaking their abilities to keep themselves out of harms way. It is only after the watchers realise that to hit them where is hurts, so to speak, would be to hurt someone they care for that they learn to act.
Stress doesn't lose hopes, though she knows that the world outside is different to how it was, she refuses to lose her hope. When Grian questions her about it, she tells him that its the only way to stay herself in a place like this. Joe only listens, nodding along but not saying anything, though when he is questioned on it he agrees with Stress. He had been with the watchers for less time than Stress and Grian had, having been taken as an adult, but he also lost his entire family to the watchers.
Stress finds herself considering the two men her brothers, her found family that is there for her, and she begins to worry about losing them. She doesn't want to, she finds it so unfair that she should lose another brother, another friend, to the watchers that killed her family, that she withdraws from them. Of course, they notice, and it doesn't do anything except to make them worried for her. Eventually, through either necessity or through accident, Stress tells them about it. The two men understand, telling her that they consider her a sister as well, and Grian jokes about finally having siblings. The group holds onto each other, that night, letting each other talk over how they feel.
News doesn't come to the group often, the watchers trickling news to them as though they are children that needn't hear about the negative things happening in the world. However, news of a rebellion reaches their ears through the whispers and mutterings that echo throughout the keep. They hold fast to the hope of a rebellion, to the idea of freedom. They don't speak of it often, nor do they think on these ideal, but at night they find themselves dreaming of freedom. Stress sings more, Grian offers to show the two around his home city, and Joe tells tales of the vineyard that he grew up in.
While tales of the rebellion spreads, the small group is forced through tests and experiments that give them more powers that they cannot fathom to use. Stress wakes one morning with wings and the ability to control plants. Joe wakes, a week laters, with wings and the ability to see snippets of the future. Grian wakes with the ability to control water and, to an extent, others minds. The group prays for freedom to come soon, to let them leave without the watchers finding them, or hurting their siblings in their absence.
That freedom comes sooner than expected for Joe, who disappears in the night, leaving his siblings behind without a word. It's too dangerous to take them where he was going, so he kisses their foreheads and disappears into the void-like mist surrounding the watcher's home.
The watchers never mention Joe again, not even blinking when he doesn't appear at the breakfast. They don't bring up 'poet' or hold Stress or Grian accountable for his sudden flight from their cell. Stress and Grian can't, don't, won't try to understand why the watchers dont ask them anything, as the only answer that the pair can come up with is that Joe is now one of the people they lost, part of a seemingly ever-growing number of dead.
Stress stops dreaming of freedom, letting herself harden under the pressure of the watchers. She will not become one of their weapons, nor will she become one of their diamonds, but she cannot let herself sleep while Grian could disappear. Grian stops asking her about tales of her home, and Stress stops singing. Tales of rebellions no longer fall into their ears.
The tests all but stop, and Stress finds herself falling into a dreamless sleep the second she makes it to her bed. She doesn't lose hope, but she doesn't gain any. There is seemingly nothing that can calm her until her head hits her pillow.
It's during one of these sleeps when Grian leaves, a note tucked under her pillow telling her that he'll be back, that he loves her, and that the rebellion is still around.
Stress cries when she reads the letter, holding it close to her before burning it. Once more, the watchers don't mention her brother, and Stress is alone again, dreaming of a freedom that she can't believe will happen for her, of a rebellion she refuses to believe will come for her. Stress can't fall into work, can't do anything as the tests stop happening and she is confined to the room that she was trapped in, food delivered to her by the watchers. Stress draws, grows plants and summons ice that she sculpts into her siblings, biological or otherwise. She lives like that, her life in limbo as she waits for the watchers to decide what to do with her. Whatever the answer is, she will walk towards it with her head high. She doesn't fear death anymore, though she doesn't want to die. She does, however, fear what will become of her if the watchers decide she isn't worth their resources.
One day, news of the rebellion reaches her ears. It's from one of the watchers who brings her food, the one that wears black headphones with blue and red checkers on them, not the cruel one with the rabbit ears. He tells her, an unsettling smile on his face, that "all of the watchers here are leaving to finally squash the rebellion. you'll be safe, once we're back we'll ba able to make you a full watcher as well. congratulations, you're the the only one of your class to succeed!". Stress cries at those words, and the watcher takes them as happy tears instead of the mournful tears that they actually are.
The watchers leave that night, the rabbit eared watcher providing her with three days food an instructions only to leave her rooms if the food runs out. She doesn't believe that the food will run out, but she thanks him anyways. She needs to make a plan to escape before that watchers come back.
The next day, the watcher's building is silent, save for the few rooms that Stress occupies. She sings for the first time in months, perhaps in years, in the empty castle. Any song is worth singing, as it fills the time and the unsettling silence. She sings songs from her home, tunes Grian taught her that the street performers would sing in his city, and ballads that Joe wrote for his home before he was abducted. Her plants flourish as she sings, and her sculptures almost appear to move.
The only thing thats stops her songs and revelry is an explosion, close by the wing of the castle in which she is imprisoned. Footsteps, loud, heavy and armoured, echo down the halls as people run through the castle. Stress falls silent, fear eating at her brain as she tries desperately to hide in a place that neither the watchers, nor any intruders, could find her. Joe had once shown her a small corner in which the stones were loose enough for her to wriggle her way into the wall, and Stress flees into the hiding place, praying that no one will look for her.
The footsteps stop in front of her door and voices echo indecipherably through the hall. Stress can't properly understand what they were saying, but she doesn't have to wait to find out as the door is thrown open, falling to the ground with a loud clang. Stress spies through the crack in the stone as people enter the room, their backs towards her.
There are five people in total, two women and three men. One of the women has blonde hair tied into a long plait down her back, brown pants and a green jacket on. A leather strap goes around her head and Stress assumes its goggles. The other woman is a zombie with green patchwork skin and flame like orange hair, wearing shorts and a blueish jumper than falls off her shoulders. One of the men wears armour thats green, the only thing that Stress can properly decipher from him is that his helmet glows from the front. A different man IS green, with a metal arm and leg and a lab coat over his chest. The final man wears a bright green jumper with a brown vest, and jeans on. The group talks amongst themselves, looking through the room for something thats Stress can't decipher. The man in the armour turns around, and Stress can properly see his eyes through the blue visor. They appear to be purple, marking him as a powerful void walker. Stress holds her breath, praying that he can't see her as the man brings his wrist up to his face.
"We can't find her, can you come here and look for her yourself?"
Stress feels tears in her eyes as the man speaks into his communicator. The two women sit down on the seat that Stress and her brothers would sit on, and Stress can see how the women look. The group, for people breaking into a watcher building, a watcher castle at that, appears remarkably calm, the two women joking around and laughing as footsteps echo through the halls. The green man, along with the the man in the green jumper, lean on the wall, talking to each other as though they had met on the streets and wished to catch up. Stress finds herself longing for that sort of interaction, though she knows that these people could be naught but dangerous to her even if they weren't hunting her.
The footsteps make their way into the building, two people in cloaks entering the room. The cloaks are drawn up, making them indecipherable to Stress, though she knows that they aren't watchers as one of the cloaks is a vibrant red, with the other one being a bright blue. The person in the blue cloak walks to the man in the green armour, as the one in the red finds their way to the two men leaning against the wall. The person in the blue cloak turns around, removing his cloak hood as he looks at Stress, and the woman in the wall chokes out a sob, startling the people in the room.
Joe is alive.
Joe helps Stress out of the wall and she throws herself into a hug with the man, wrapping her wings around the man. The group looks shocked at the pair, and Joe mumbles to her that he's refused hugs from them even after Grian found them. Grian joins the hug as well, the siblings finally reunited. Joe tells her about the rebellion, and how they are fighting to take down the watchers as they make their way to the ship that Xisuma, the man in the green armour, runs. Stress asks where she can join the rebellion. Xisuma laughs and tells her that she already has.
Stress, one day, asks the hermits if she could find out what happened to her home. Joe and Grian both exchange worried looks, though the hermits all agree to go to her the Frozen Lands to see her home, taking Grian and Joe's silences as agreement. Joe didn't tell the hermits that his visited Nashville before he joined them, though he spoke to Grian and Stress of the devastation that was left on his home, how the only thing left of the house his family lived in was the flooring, burnt and bloodied and faded with age. Grian has also confined in Stress and Joe that Evo, the city in which he lived in, wasn't the same when he returned, the people either close to kneeling over due to starvation or unnaturally healthy, glowing in a way that didn't seem normal nor natural. Stress doesn't care for their concern about her home, false hope screaming at her that her cousins or other family members would be there, ruling over the town and lands.
When the hermits arrive, Stress rushes a head of them, ignoring the concern and fear that falls from the groups mouths. But instead of running into the loving embrace of her families arms, Stress arrives to a wasteland covered in ice and ash. Stress bolts down the streets she played in as a child, sliding on ice as she makes her way to the manor that she grew up in.
Instead of the familiar structure that she expected, nothing stands except the door the main entrance. Her families crest, a simple snowflake, that was carved into the spruce wood doors is burnt into the crest of the watchers, a clear message to anyone who found their way to the manor.
Stress collapses at the door, wailing at not only the loss of her family but at the loss of her home.
The hermits find her their, her wailing subsiding into sobs as her new brothers help her to her feet, helping her to make her way to the ship that she had been living in. Nothing feels real, not for a long time for Stress, her hope waning as she realises what had happened to her family. Stress finds herself helping Joe in the medical bay of the ship, her healing magic far more potent than his was, and Stress finds herself enjoying the work. She makes fast friends out of Cleo, False and Iskall as the three of them visit her often, either with injuries or with anecdotes. For most of the hermits, what had happened to Stress' home was something they had only heard of in the stories of refugees, as only Etho, Wels, Grian, Joe and Xisuma truely understood what had happened to her home.
The hermits, the rebels, knew that they had to free more people, and Stress often accompanied Xisuma and Wels on their more diplomatic missions, her title of Princess aiding them as they gather allies. Wels also teaches her how to fight, and jokingly suggests that she should knight him as the knight for her kingdom, as his kingdom is ruled by a tyrant that wants nothing more than to watch her people suffer. Stress does knight him, giving him the status that he needs to get them respect of other knights as the champion of the Frozen Lands.
The next few years are spent in careful planning, Stress, Wels and Xisuma being the kindhearted faces of the rebellion as Cleo, False, Grian and Joe being the hard hitting fighters who invade watcher buildings and burn them down, as Iskall, Cub and Scar gather information about watchers through means that Stress doesn't know and doesn't care to find out.
One day, at a party that Stress, Xisuma and Wels were invited to, and that Grian, Joe and False had tagged along to the two watchers that fed Stress appear, not only looking for a fight but for victims to bring back to the watchers.
Stress didn't feel anything at the sight of the watchers, simply stating that they had been the ones to feed her, though Grian's eyes flashed purple as he laid eyes on them. Of course, the group fought the watchers, Stress helping the people to evacuate the building before she joined the fray.Grian fought harder than anyone else did, throwing himself into the fray when he shouldn't have. The rabbit watcher taunted him, and the one that wore the headphones laughed as Grian struggled to fight them, not letting anyone get close to them. The rabbit eared watcher threw a spear through Grian's wing, grounding the man. Grian doesn't saying anything as the rest of the hermits join the fight, Stress focussing on healing his wing.
"Why would you fight them alone, you dumbass." She asked him, tears in her eyes. "Thats Sam and Taurtis." The second the reply hit her ears, Stress stands, her wings flapping. She holds the spear in her hands as she flies up, summoning ice and vines to the room. Joe helps the hermits to a corner of the room as Stress traps the two traitors in vines and ice. "What do you want me to do with them, Grian?" Stress asks, and the man shrugs, a dark look in his eyes. "They're watchers, they've already sealed their fates."
Stress doesn't remember what happened next, though according to False and Wels it was 'the most badass' thing that they had ever seen. According to Xisuma, however, it was a safety hazard. Stress doesn't really care, though she's prefer that the next time she grow plants in peoples lungs and explodes their veins with ice she wouldn't wake up in the blood and ice of her victims.
The group becomes folk heroes in that kingdom, and they soon find themselves becoming better known in other lands as well as they defeat more and more watchers, before the only ones left are the ones that kidnapped Stress, Grian and Joe.
It took a while to find the last watchers. There was so few left of them that no one, not even Iskall, Scar and Cub could find information on the group, and while Stress, Joe and Grian were being heralded as heroes who defied the odds and survived the watchers, they couldn't rest. Stress would often find Grian planning intricate traps with Mumbo and Iskall, and she'd always have to make sure that Joe wasn't wordsmithing disaster onto their course. Of course, everyone would find Stress fussing over any injured people, to the point where it was obvious that she was too nervous for her own good. It was during one of these sessions with Cleo where the zombie worked out - or perhaps told the ex watcher - exactly what Stress what thinking.
"You hate them." Cleo smiles. "I want them locked up, where they can never hurt anyone ever again." Stress spits, trying to calm herself down. "You want them dead, don't you?" "I never said that!" Stress protests, though in her heart she knows it's true. "Don't worry, I think that they deserve it."
It took Stress a while to convince herself that she wasn't evil for wanting that. Or more so, it took False, Iskall, Grian, Cleo, Wels, Joe and Xisuma a while to convince Stress she wasn't evil for wishing death onto the watchers. But she was never fully convinced, and just when the hermits believed that she had finally believed them, Stress vanished into the night just as Joe and Grian had left her, a note being the only thing she left behind.
She knows where the watchers are, she knows exactly where she needs to go to finish this, and she knows that she cannot loose anymore people to the watchers, to that building, the one that the watchers had first held her and her siblings in. The one hidden in the frozen wastes beyond her home town. It's a long fight, one that she battles alone until she's near dead, captured by watchers once more. When all seems lost, her brothers appear, tearing down the doors and saving her before the watcher can deliver the final blow. Grian tore into the watchers as Joe heals her, and Stress spies the hermits from the corner of her eyes. The hermits battle as Stress struggles to breath, the curse that was placed on her slowly eating away at her energy. Tears prick at her eyes, too tired to even fall out of her eyes. She watches, almost as though she isn't in her body, as False and Cleo deliver the final blow, killing the watcher with a well placed spear to the throat. Energy floods back into Stress as she bolts up, the curse dying with the watcher that placed it.
There are celebrations throughout the world as the hermits make their way across, telling everyone of the good news. Stress, Grian and Joe are shown some of the survivors of their homes, and Stress makes her first speech as queen declaring that the island 'Tennessee' and the city 'Evo' are now states of the Frozen Lands. Soon, the lands that the other hermits were from join the Frozen lands, and Stress makes more announcements welcoming places into her ever growing country. The world changes as people make their way to the Frozen Lands, hoping for the home that is boasted about.
Stress' last declaration as queen of the frozen lands is stunning, a hope filled promise of home.
"I do not claim to know that the future holds, nor do I promise that it will be good, but today I speak to you all, not as a queen, but as a friend. The Frozen Lands is no more. Today, we join the Hermit States. You will chose your leader, not born of blood but of your decisions."
It was not a surprise to anyone but Stress when she was voted in as Empress, with Scar as her second in command. Joe finds home in books of poetry and song, and Grian finds life in regrowing his home into a better place.
Stress finds a family in the hermits, and the hermits find hope in Stress

Video
[Video ID: TopMass and Joenagee are playing Minecraft. They are in a room facing a wall of cocoa beans growing, and both of them are moving around the room.
TopMass: Uh, but anyways, this is Xisuma's design I think. Or, I mean it's pretty standard, but I think Xisuma did a video or something on this.
Joenagee: Apparently we're pronouncing Xisuma wrong.
TopMass: No no no, Xisuma is right. But, I always say like, "Shishwammy" and stuff. [Joenagee laughs in the background] Because, cause Joe Hills one time was like [doing an impression of Joe Hills] "Shwammy, what, how do you do this there?' And I was just like "Shwammy?" and Xisuma was like "Shwammy?" And then, so, we just- now we, as a joke we all just call him "Shishwammy".
Joenagee: Brilliant.
TopMass: Joe Hills like [doing an impression of Joe Hills again] "Shwammy, now-" and he was being serious [Joenagee starts laughing again] and it was like it had been the first time he met him and he called him "Shwammy" or something to that like, that effect. And we were just howling. [once again doing an impression of Joe Hills] "Now, I come from Nashville Tennessee-" and that's Joe Hills. Oh, flipping heck, I love Joe Hills.
Joenagee: Oh, Joe Hills.
TopMass: Joe, don't take offense. I flipping love you man.
/End ID]
[Topmass explains the origin of “Shishwammy”! Clarifying that although he was the first to use the name on camera, it was Joe…

===============================
Johnny Suave (voiceover): This week, the Progressive Alliance’s Nancy Pelosi took over the President’s role in the PCW Executive Committee and demanded PCW CEO Donald Trump drop his security plan in order to end the shutdown of the Blue and Red Brand shows.
Cut to: Thursday January 3rd – Washington D.C. Nancy Pelosi (CA-Progressive Alliance) stands behind a podium with Chuck Schumer (NY-Progressive Alliance).
Major players in the Progressive Alliance stand in the background. Pelosi promises to lead an Executive Committee that delivers results for the people, opens up opportunities for PCW’s wrestlers and lifts up their lives.
Was the rest of the Progressive Alliance on board?
Rashida Tlaib (MI-Progressive Alliance): We’re going to impeach that mother *BLEEP* (that would be PCW CEO Donald Trump)
Adam Schiff (CA-Progressive Alliance): We’re going to indict that mother *BLEEP* (also PCW CEO Trump)
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (NY-Progressive Alliance): I just want to buy everyone groceries…with PCW’s money…of course. But Dawn McGill refuses to and said mean things about me.
Pelosi also again reiterates that the Progressive Alliance will not agree to CEO Trump’s security enhancements and demand that he sit down and work with them to end the shutdown.
Nancy Pelosi: We will not agree to upgrade security. It’s not happening. It’s time to end Trump’s shutdown and reopen the Blue and Red Brand shows for our fans.
Johnny Suave (v/o): Fast forward to the Blue Brand scheduled shows in Providence, Rhode Island and Buffalo, New York this weekend.
Cut to: Dunkin Donuts Center – Providence RI The arena is empty. On the scoreboard, “Welcome Blue Brand Show!”

Cut to: Bridgestone Arena – Nashville, TN The arena is also empty. On the scoreboard, “Welcome Red Brand Show!”
Johnny Suave (v/o): Early on January 4th, Pelosi, Schumer, and the Executive Committee sat down and got to work on finding a solution to end the shutdown.
Cut to: The Executive Committee Room – Washington D.C. Pelosi moves to adjourn for the weekend. Steny Hoyer (MD-Progressive Alliance) seconds. The Progressive Alliance quickly stands and streams out the door as fast they can leaving a confused and bewildered American Patriot Leader Kevin McCarthy (CA-American Patriots) looking at the American Patriots in the room.
Kevin McCarthy: Hey! Where’d everyone go? Does anybody know what’s going on?
Johnny Suave (v/o): Apparently, the American Patriots have no clue what’s going on.
==============================
PCW Extreme Political TV on P-SPAN Sunday January 6th, 2018 Taped January 5th at the Landon Arena Topeka, Kansas
Announcers: “The Voice of PCW” Johnny Suave ‘Low Level Reporter at the New York Times Trying to Make a Name for Herself’ Colleen Crowder
=============================
The camera pans around the arena. Everyone is on their feet and chanting: “PCW!…PCW!…PCW!”
Suave welcomes everyone to PCW Extreme Political TV.
Crowder complains about the opening and how it depicts the Progressive Alliance.
Colleen Crowder: Our narrative is that the shutdown is all Donald Trump’s fault plus it’s wrong that PCW Heartland owner Dawn McGill gets to run her shows while the PCW Blue and PCW Red Brand shows…bigger shows…are forced to stay home.
Suave notes that Professor McCarthy from Berkeley, California did follow through on his vow to protest at all three PCW Heartland house shows this weekend. Also protesting at the Friday night Tulsa, Oklahoma show, several wrestlers from the PCW Blue Brand.
Cut to: Professor McCarthy Protests Earlier in the night, Professor McCarthy, joined by the Green World Order (Peta from PETA, GreenPete, ‘Extreme Vegan’ Brock Cole Lee, and PeaceNick, the Young Jerks (Zenk Cryger, James Idahola, and Anna- the foul-mouthed sidekick), the Deep State (One and Two), Emily S. List, and Codee Pink stand outside the Black River Coliseum.
PCW Heartland owner Dawn McGill walks by. The Professor and his Flock start yelling all kinds of nasty invectives at her. McGill rolls her eyes and flips them off as she enters the arena.
Colleen Crowder: Now, was that really necessary?
Johnny Suave: I don’t know. Was it necessary for McCarthy and his goons to shout at Dawn like that?
Colleen Crowder: Yes. That’s freedom of speech.
Suave turns and flips off Crowder. She’s offended and demands an apology.
Johnny Suave: Nope, that’s freedom of speech too.
DAWN McGILL ADDRESSES THE PCW FAITHFUL Dawn’s in the ring and she welcomes everyone to PCW. She says it’s taken a year and a half to get back from when the Establishment took PCW off the air in May 2017 and talks about the hard work that’s gone on behind the scenes to get to tonight. Dawn wants to reiterate something she said over a year and half ago.
Dawn McGill: I said this on May 14th, 2017 and it holds true today. Paul Ryan or Kevin McCarthy whoever in charge there don’t get it. Mitch McConnell, Nancy Pelosi, and Chuck Schumer don’t get it. I still wonder sometimes if Donald Trump actually gets it. But let me make this clear to the Establishment…PCW is not here for you. PCW is not here for the Sports Entertainment Corporation and CSPN. PCW is not here for the American Patriots. PCW is not here for the Progressive Alliance. PCW is here for…YOU…the fans. We don’t need the American Patriots. We don’t need the Progressive Alliance. All we need to succeed is you…and your support.
McGill then announces that because of the injury to former champion William Daniels Bryan a Heartland title tournament is being held to crown a new champion. She explains that tournament matches have already taken place at last night’s house show and tonight is the semi-finals. Match one will be Jack Fraiser versus Average Joe. Match two will be SNAFU versus a surprise entrant.
Johnny Suave: And Jack Fraiser versus Average Joe will be right after these messages.
=======================
**COMMERCIAL BREAK**
=======================
Ring Announcer Kimber Marshall is in the ring to introduce the first match.
Jack Fraiser AGE: 24 / HT: 6”3” WT: 205 / HOME: Saskatoon, Saskatchewan FIN: Canadian Crusher Valet: ‘Oootlander Blaire Rendell
The video screen comes to life:
It’s 1946 in the Scottish Highlands.
On the hill of Irish na Dun, British nurse Blaire Rendell hears the tell-tale buzzing sound as she approaches the standing stones. This makes her very happy.]
Blaire Rendell (Scottish accent): Soon, I’ll be back with my true love Jamie and I will be truly happy once again in eighteen century Scotland.
Blaire goes to the standing stones where the buzzing sound gets louder and louder. Soon she faints and falls to the ground. When she wakes up…
Blaire nearly jumps in the air when she encounters the source of the voice. He is dressed in heavy plaid lumberjack shirt, a warm coat, and a tuque.
Blaire Rendell: Wh-who the hell are you? And where the hell am I?
Jack Fraiser: My name is Jack Fraiser. You are in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan Canada.
Blaire Rendell: Saskatoon…Saskatchewan Canada? That can’t be true. I’m supposed to be in Scotland.
[A hockey puck comes flying by just barely missing both of them.]
Blaire Rendell: What the *BLEEP*!
Jack Fraiser: Nope. This is definitely Saskatoon, Saskatchewan Canada.
Average Joe (Perfectly Average Company) AGE: 40 / HT: 6′ 2″ WT: 220 / HOME: Defiance, OH FIN: Average Slam MGR: Tequila Sheila
Then Average Joe comes out with his valet Tequila Sheila.
*Tequila Sheila- Bobby Bare*
Shelia sashays down the aisle to the ring.
‘Pour me another…tequila…’
Sheila spins around as the crowd shouts out: ‘SHEILA!’
===
MATCH #1: Jack Fraiser vs. Average Joe Semi-Final of the Heartland Title Tournament They come out quick, working counters and end in a standoff. Fraiser hits a dropkick and drives Average Joe to the floor. They brawl a bit. Both Rendell and Tequila Sheila get involved and eventually the action goes back to the ring. Back in and Average Joe hits an Average Slam. He covers for 2 but Rendell makes the save. Average Joe with uppercuts, chops, and then a back breaker for 2. Average Joe lays in strikes, but Fraiser fires up and they trade strikes. Fraiser hits a hurricanrana. Average Joe rolls to the floor. Fraiser follows with a moonsault to the floor.
Crowd: PCW!…PCW!…PCW!
Back in and Fraiser hits a missile dropkick and rolls into a German for 2. Average Joe counters the Canadian Crusher, but Fraiser follows with kicks. Average Joe counters by low bridging Fraiser, and follows with a head kick. Body slam countered into a cradle by Fraiser for 2. Fraiser hits another slam but Average Joe kicks out at 2. Fraiser heads up top, but Average Joe crotches him and leaves him in the tree of woe. Average Joe gets a chair and dropkicks it into Fraiser’s face. Fraiser tries to roll out. Average Joe pulls him back in. Fraiser fights him off and hits a double stomp. Average Joe kills Fraiser with a lariat. Average Slam is countered and Fraiser hits a cradled tombstone for a near fall. Average Joe fires back with kicks. Average Joe again looks for an Average Slam and Fraiser counters. He hits the Canadian Crusher. Cover. One…two…three.
WINNER: Jack Fraiser @ 12:33 (8:30 shown on TV)
Johnny Suave: Jack Fraiser gets his biggest PCW win yet. Good back and forth battle but Fraiser is able to counter Average Joe’s Average Slam and hits his finisher to go through to the finals.
=======================
**COMMERCIAL BREAK**
=======================
ELIZABETH WARREN- 1/1024TH ORDINARY PERSON Back from the break, the camera pans up to where Elizabeth Warren (MA-Progressive Alliance) is sitting in the crowd. She’s having a beer and talking with the people surrounding her.
Suave is a little cynical about Warren showing up at the show. Crowder sticks up for her.
Colleen Crowder: All Elizabeth Warren is doing is trying to show that she’s an ordinary person…no different than anyone else.
Johnny Suave: Really now.
Colleen Crowder: She’s just like everyone else.
Johnny Suave: Oh? Because most ordinary people pretend to be a member of a protected class in order to gain preferential treatment at one of the world’s most prestigious universities.
Crowder immediately objects and calls Suave’s response ‘sexist.’
Johnny Suave: Warren is one…one thousand twenty-fourth of an ‘ordinary person.’
Offended, Crowder jumps up from her chair and storms off in a huff.
Suave introduces the replay of new Universal PCW Champion ‘Red Solo Plastic Cup’ Ray McAvay winning the title at PCW Extreme Election Night 2018.
REPLAY: End of the Universal PCW Title Match: Ray McAvay vs. Kirk Walstreit PCW Extreme Election Night 2018
[McAvay slaps on an inverted face lock…hooks the arm…and pulls backwards and up.]
Johnny Suave: DRAGON SLEEPER!
[Dark and Stormy end the striptease. The SEC’s Blackwell, Banks, and Tanaka climb into the ring. Les Miserables’s General DeBauchery, Al Cahall, and Nic Koteen throw themselves at the SEC. Walstreit starts to fade. Several other members of the Les Miserables hit the ring and attack Blackwell, Banks, and Tanaka.]
Johnny Suave: ALL HELL HAS BROKEN LOOSE! WE’VE GOT PEOPLE IN THE RING AND McAVAY IS HANGING ON FOR DEAR LIFE.
[Walstreit’s arm goes limp. McAvay breaks the hold…puts Walstreit’s head between his legs…and hits a sit-down powerbomb.]
Johnny Suave: McGILL BOMB!
[McAvay rolls him up. One…two…THREE!]
Johnny Suave: HE’S DONE IT!
Do You Hear the People Sing?’ – Les Miserables
‘Red Solo Plastic Cup’ Ray McAvay walks out accompanied by his wife Stacee (Dark) Perry- one half of the famed West Texas Adult Entertainment duo Dark and Stormy. Paige ‘Stormy’ Reynolds also walks out. Bert the Janitor comes out fourth. Also joining them, General DeBauchery- who looks like a bizarre combination of the AWA’s Colonel DeBeers and Lt. Aldo from Inglorious Basterds, sporting a black captain’s hat right out of World War II, smoking a cigar and grinning obnoxiously, Al Cahall- sporting six pack abs…oh…that’s a six pack in front of his abs. And then there’s man smoking a cigarette in violation of several anti-smoking ordinances…which is par for the course- Nic Koteen.
McAvay holds up the Universal PCW Title belt as the procession makes its way to the ring.
Johnny Suave: Ray McAvay, in his first match back after being on the shelf for ten months, stunned everyone by walking out of Extreme Election Night 2018 as the Universal PCW Champion.
Flanked by the Les Miserables, McAvay gets a standing ovation. He thanks everyone and promises to be the people’s Universal PCW Champion.
Ray McAvay: The wrestlers of the PCW Red and Blue Brands are sitting at home right now because the Progressive Alliance and the American Patriots can’t agree on anything. We are here in Topeka, Kansas this afternoon because we are here for you. Mr. McMann, the American Patriots, the Progressive Alliance, Professor McCarthy and his Flock with their agendas, they don’t get it. They clearly are doing this for fame, money, power, and ego. I’m wrestling for the fans. I’m wrestling for people like the former Intel employee. I’m wrestling for the people who paid their hard earned income to come here tonight. I’m wrestling for folks like you. I’m not in this for personal fame or glory. I’m in this to entertain. To help people forget real life for a couple of hours. I have my own way- the McAvay way- what I can say? And my way is different from most professional wrestlers. I’m an average schmuck. I show up. Punch in. Shut up. And get to work. My job is to go out to the ring and put on the best show possible for the fans. I’m-
Charlie Blackwell (interrupting): Ray, Ray, Ray.
One half of the Universal PCW Tag Team Champions ‘Charlie Wrestling’ Charlie Blackwell walks out followed by a CSPN film crew.
Johnny Suave: Charlie Blackwell is a former member of the Les Miserables who sold out to ‘Sports Entertainment Genius’ Mr. McMann’s Sports Entertainment Corporation.
Blackwell mock congratulates McAvay on the win and is not surprised he is still ‘slumming’ with the Les Miserables.
Charlie Blackwell: Ray, I left the Les Miserables because I wanted to get paid. Pandering to the common people doesn’t get you paid. That’s why I’m with the SEC now. And now that I’m getting paid, I’m turning my attention towards something you have- the Universal PCW Title.
Blackwell throws out a challenge to the new champion and declares that once the PCW Red and Blue shows start up again, he’ll be coming for the belt.
Charlie Blackwell: Until then, you’ll never see me, Charlie Wrestling, in a substandard dump like this ever again.
Blackwell is booed off the stage.
Johnny Suave: The main event is next!
=======================
**COMMERCIAL BREAK**
=======================
Suave goes right to the ring for the main event.
Kimber Marshall is in the ring to introduce the main event.
*’Feel Invincible’- Skillet*
E.J. Flack leads SNAFU out to the stage.
E.J. Flack: Ladies and gentlemen, forget about ‘rowing the boat.’ Sometimes in life, you have to face the big monster thingy. Sometimes in life, you have to take on something that’s bigger than you even if its huge tusks can shred you to bits in seconds…even if its jagged teeth can tear through you like a hot knife through warm butter. Sometimes when you’re climbing life’s mountain and come up against insurmountable odds, you have to…
Flack pauses for dramatic effect.
Crowd: NARFLE THE GARTHOK!
SNAFU AGE: 33 / HT: 5′ 10″ WT: 200 / HOME: Parts Unknown FIN: American Facebuster
Then Kimber presents SNAFU’s opponent.
*‘No Smoke Without a Fire’ – Bad Company*
The crowd explodes when ‘The One Man American A-List’ Stone Chism, fresh from being released by the PCW Blue Brand, walks out on stage. The same Stone Chism who was unceremoniously dumped out of the Progressive Alliance earlier in the week.
Colleen Crowder has a stroke when she sees Chism on stage.
Colleen Crowder: What is this Progressive Alliance reject doing here? He doesn’t belong here. He couldn’t cut it with the PA and was fired. Discharged. Bye-bye.
‘The One Man American A-List’ Stone Chism HT: 6′ 2″ WT: 225 / HOME: Hollywood, CA FIN: American Blockbuster
Chism climbs in the ring and raises his arms.
Johnny Suave: Dawn McGill did a fair amount of business bringing Stone Chism permanently into PCW Heartland.
Colleen Crowder: The Progressive Alliance determined he wasn’t good enough for the PCW Blue Brand and that’s good enough for me.
Johnny Suave: Right. A former PCW Champion and a two time PCW Television Champion isn’t good enough.
Colleen Crowder: That’s how I’m reporting it.
===============
MAIN EVENT: ‘The One Man American A-List’ Stone Chism vs. SNAFU Semi-Final of the Heartland Title Tournament
[The referee calls for the bell.]
Johnny Suave: And here we go.
[Collar and elbow tie up. Both men circle and look for position. Flack claps his hands and tries to get the crowd going.]
E.J. Flack: NARFLE THE GARTHOK!
Crowd: NARFLE THE GARTHOK!
[Chism whips SNAFU into the ropes. SNAFU ducks under and hits the ropes. Chism whiffs on the return. SNAFU stops…slaps Chism. They lock up again…Chism pulls hair and SNAFU slaps him again.]
Colleen Crowder: Chism’s pulling the hair. That’s cheating and another reason why he should have been fired from the Progressive Alliance.
[Chism gets pissed and slaps him back. He teases an American Blockbuster…SNAFU rolls from the ring…]
Johnny Suave: Both wrestlers are struggling to gain the advantage in this match up to this point.
Colleen Crowder: The guy who ‘Narfles Garthoks’…and I still maintain that’s sexist in some shape or form…needs to get moving and take this Hollywood Judas out. Chism let down an entire class of people whose main purpose in life is to make our lives happy by entertaining us.
Johnny Suave: And make millions upon millions of dollars and enjoying all the perks and privileges that come with having lots of money.
4th MINUTE […SNAFU escapes from a wristlock. Chism cradles him for the cover.]
[One…]
[Two…SNAFU kicks out.]
[Chism attacks the knee. He goes for a knee bar but SNAFU makes the ropes. SNAFU and Chism exchange strikes. SNAFU hits a running knee strike and then a back breaker. Cover.]
[One…]
[Two…Chism powers out. Coach Flack claps his hands at ringside.]
E.J. Flack: NARFLE THE GARTHOK!
Crowd: NARFLE THE GARTHOK!
[Chism sends SNAFU to the floor. He follows. Then Chism lifts and suplexes SNAFU on the apron. SNAFU tries a desperation drop kick from the apron. Chism sidesteps…pulls him up…and slams him onto the broadcast table.]
5th MINUTE [Chism pulls a table out and throws it into the ring. He drags SNAFU back in and drapes him over the table. Chism climbs to the top turnbuckle…]
Johnny Suave: Chism going airborne!
Colleen Crowder: Someone stop him!
[…and puts SNAFU through the table.]
Crowd: PCW!…PCW!…PCW!
[Chism hooks the legs.]
[One…]
[Two…]
[Thr-…]
Johnny Suave: NO! SNAFU just got the shoulder up in time.
Colleen Crowder: You know, I take that back. Stone Chism does belongs here. While the PCW Blue Brand performs in the best facilities and travel in luxury, Chism can bus from show to show in Dawn McGill’s traveling flea circus.
[Chism lays in the chops. SNAFU fights back and hits a flying forearm. Rights by SNAFU and then a dragon screw. Coach Flack slides a chair in. *WHAP* SNAFU blasts Chism with the chair. He then surfboards the chair and kicks it in Chism’s face. Cover…]
[One…]
[Two…Chism kicks out.]
6th MINUTE [SNAFU hits a dropkick. Body slam. Legdrop. Cover…]
[One…]
[Two…again Chism kicks out.]
[SNAFU on the offensive but Chism cuts him off. SNAFU misses clothesline. Chism belly to belly suplexes SNAFU and holds with the shoulders on the mat…]
[One…]
[Two…]
[SNAFU gets the shoulder up late again. Flack calls SNAFU over and he spills to the floor.]
Johnny Suave: Good move by SNAFU. Regroup. Refocus.
[SNAFU gets instructions and advice from Flack. He rolls back in and another lock up…]
Johnny Suave: This has been a good one between Chism and SNAFU. I almost think Chism is better in this element than he was at PCW Blue.
Colleen Crowder: PCW Blue…and even Red…are superior to anything that goes on down here.
Johnny Suave: I’m going to disagree with that.
Colleen Crowder: Look at the money the wrestlers make. Look at the venues the wrestlers work at. This is why PCW CEO Trump needs to drop this whole ‘security enhancement’ idea and get the big time wrestlers back to work.
Johnny Suave: Bigger ain’t necessarily better. And stop parroting Mr. McMann’s talking points.
10th MINUTE […Chism and SNAFU trade strikes in the middle of the ring. SNAFU flings himself to the ropes and fires across the ring. Chism evades the high crossbody and SNAFU nearly decapitates himself in the ropes. Chism lays in knee strikes. He pulls SNAFU off the ropes and sets him up for a delayed vertical suplex. Vertical suplex. Cover.]
[One…]
[Two…]
[Thre…oh wait. E.J. Flack is talking to the referee.]
Johnny Suave: Flack makes the last ditch save!
E.J. Flack: NARFLE THE GARTHOK!
Crowd: NARFLE THE GARTHOK!
Colleen Crowder: Come on SNAFU!
[Chism gets heated with the referee and claps his hands three times in quick succession.]
11th MINUTE [Flack again slides a chair into the ring. SNAFU grabs it and raises the chair to strike. Chism hits a standing drop kick and bends SNAFU over. He then DDT’s SNAFU onto the chair.]
Colleen Crowder: NO!
[Cover.]
[One…]
[Two…]
[Thr-…SNAFU somehow gets a shoulder up at the last possible second.]
[Chism pulls SNAFU to his feet and lifts him into a vertical suplex position. But this time, he drops to the mat driving SNAFU head first to the mat.]
Johnny Suave: AMERICAN BLOCKBUSTER!
Colleen Crowder: It was better when it was the Hollywood Blockbuster!
[Cover…]
[One…]
[Two…]
[THREE!]
*DING-DING-DING-DING*
Johnny Suave: HE’S DONE IT! THE ONE MAN AMERICAN A-LIST HAS DEFEATED SNAFU AND HE WILL WRESTLE JACK FRAISER NEXT WEEK FOR THE PCW HEARTLAND TITLE!
WINNER: ‘The One Man American A-List’ Stone Chism @ 11:22
Crowder is unhappy with the result.
Post match, Chism gets on the microphone and tells the PCW faithful he’s glad to be there.
Stone Chism: I was tired of being something I wasn’t. I don’t agree with Hollywood values. I’d rather be here with people like you than to be around a bunch of fake, phony, plastic people- OOOOF…
Johnny Suave: IT’S ‘MR. HOLLYWOOD’ KEVIN DANIELS!
Out of nowhere, Daniels runs down and tackles Chism in the ring.
Colleen Crowder: GET HIM! GET HIM!
Daniels and Chism roll around the ring trying to throw punches. The referee tries to get in between the two and gets shoved away.
The crowd buzzes as several more people race down.
Johnny Suave: HERE WE GO! IT’S THE GREEN WORLD ORDER AND THE YOUNG JERKS!
The GWO (Peta from PETA, ‘Extreme Vegan’ Brock Cole Lee, GreenPete, and PeaceNick), the Young Jerks (Zenk Cryger, James Idahola, and their foul-mouthed sidekick Anna), Emily S. List, and Codee Pink hit the ring. Professor McCarthy from Berkley, California directs traffic from the outside.
Professor McCarthy: SHOUT HIM DOWN! SHUT HIM DOWN!
They swarm all over Chism and the One Man American A-List is overwhelmed. Then…
Johnny Suave: HERE COMES RAY McAVAY! AND THE LES MISERABLES!
McAvay clocks McCarthy from behind and decks the Professor. McAvay, General DeBauchery, Al Cahall, Nic Koteen climb into the ring and brawl with the GWO and the Young Jerks. They are joined seconds later by the Island of Misfit Wrestlers (Rah and Halitosis with Regina McGill).
Johnny Suave: …AND RAH AND HALITOSIS!
The end credits start to roll.
Johnny Suave: HEARTLAND TITLE MATCH NEXT WEEK! SEE YOU THEN…
[‘Trumpet Concerto No. 2 in D major – 3 Allegro assai’ begins to play in the background and P-SPAN quickly cuts away to another political event.]

How Dave Mustaine Took on Cancer and Won
By James Blaine (Metal Hammer) 21 hours ago
Megadeth mainman Dave Mustaine opens up exclusively about staring down cancer and what the future holds
The whole world is coming apart at the seams.
At least that’s the way it seems in Nashville, Tennessee this week. A T6 tornado tore the hell out of town just as the coronavirus hit the Volunteer State. Even President Trump is in Music City today, surveying the damage from Marine Helicopter One, hovering above us as we step into a dark, downtown studio to meet with local resident, Dave Mustaine.
The Apocalypse’s first and second horsemen take a back seat, at least for the moment. Right now, we’re more concerned about Dave’s dog. Oblivious to its diminutive size, the long-haired Chihuahua descends upon us like some high-pitched Hound of Hell, menacingly baring his teeth and threatening to devour our very soul if we step any closer to his master.
“Easy, Romeo. Easy,” Dave says, reaching to save us from the snarling beast. We coil back, cautiously offering the back of our hand. Dave laughs gruffly. “Oh, no,” he says. “That doesn’t work with him.”
As the Megadeth frontman corrals his pup, it gives us a chance to check out the legend after his recent health crisis. Mass of fiery mane – intact. Black jacket, jeans, black t-shirt, white sneakers. Honestly? Well, he looks like Dave Mustaine, like the hellraiser still not sold on cheap or easy peace. He moves a bit slow, but not creakily – more like a man who’s fought the Devil bare-fisted and lived to tell the tale.
With the hound at bay, he turns to greet us. It’s difficult to know what’s appropriate in this season of paranoia and mutant pandemic, especially for a man who’s just had his immune system nuked. Do we fist bump? Nod and touch elbows? “Nah, I ain’t worried, man,” Dave assures us, shaking hands with a vice grip. “I’m healthy now.”
The backstory: March 2019. After being bounced from doctor to doctor, Dave gets an official diagnosis that sounds like some dystopian speed metal verse. Squamous cell carcinoma on the base of your tongue.
Hold up. Cancer? Mustaine? No way.
If anyone seemed indestructible, it was Dave Mustaine. Bad ass, bad attitude, snarling, spitting, raging, red-headed, black belt-carrying soldier in God’s Army, Godfather Of Thrash. That cancer could sink its claws into someone like Dave sent shockwaves through the metal community. Now, one year after the diagnosis, Metal Hammer comes to Music City to hear his testimony first-hand. Because Dave Mustaine kicked cancer’s ass.
“Yeah, I’m pretty stoked about that,” he says, grinning as he grabs a bottle of water and motions for us to have a seat in a private, black- walled dressing room. The obvious first question: So, how do you feel? “I’m a little run down, but a lot of that’s from the medication and all the stuff that goes along with treatment. They hit the cancer really hard, nine doses of chemo and 51 radiation treatments, which just beats the hell out of you. My mouth is still messed up but overall, I feel really good.”
Dave settles in on the couch to tell us how he got the news that he was cancer-free. “I was here in Nashville, at my doctor’s office. He had to reach down the back of my throat, which was really unpleasant, but it was important for him to feel and make sure. And he said my progress was amazing, that both sides felt the same. I’ve got a metal plate in my neck that I figured might cause problems, but the doc told me, “Dave, you are in perfect health, 100%. You’re free to go.”
Dave pauses to slide a piece of Big Red gum into his mouth, twisting the foil between his fingers, reflecting before he continues. “It sounds bizarre, but I kind of knew. I took good care of myself. I’d done everything my doctors told me to do. I had tons of support from family and friends. And I had lots of prayer. I don’t want to sound arrogant, but I expected it. I had faith that I was going to be healed.”
At this point, Dave rewinds to early 2019, explaining how he received the grim verdict. While out shredding with Joe Satriani and Zakk Wylde on the Experience Hendrix tour, severe mouth pain struck. “I’d gone in to get some dental work,” he says. “And after, it felt like the dentist had broken a piece of scraper off in my gums. I went back and he sent me to an oral surgeon who checked me out and said, ‘You need to see an ear, nose and throat doctor. I don’t want to say anything bad, but it looks like the Big C.’ Well, fuck, dude! Why’d you say that, then?”
Dave shakes his head, still pissed, taking a long pull of water. “Anyway, I figured I’d take care of myself once the Hendrix tour was over. While out on the road, a friend of mine knew an ENT at the local emergency room. He came over, took a look, and said it wasn’t anything to worry about. But I knew something was wrong with me. It was just too far down for anybody to see.
“We had a day off and I was home in Nashville, so I saw a local specialist who suggested a scope. I don’t do good with scopes, so they had to knock me out to get the tube in. But yeah, they confirmed that it was cancer in the side of my throat that had spread to two lymph nodes.
“Initially, they wanted to send me to MD Anderson in Houston for 11 weeks and I said no. fucking. way. I’m not gonna be away from my family for that long. So, they set me up at Vanderbilt, with Dr. Cmelak, who’s actually one of the best radiation oncologists in the country. I had a good team.”
Fortunately for Mustaine, Music City is also the healthcare capital of the United States. The band cancelled tour dates and put the brakes on a new record so Dave could begin a brutal treatment regime, resting at his farm in the rolling hills of nearby Franklin between blasts of radiation and IV chemo drips. The worst, he says, is over.
“I’ll have to do another MRI soon and check in with the doctor regularly, three years, five years. But the cool thing is, my voice came back even better than before. I think the treatment shrunk whatever was on my vocal cord that was making it hard to sing. I’d seen pictures of my voice box and there was some kind of bubble on the flap that was giving me trouble. Cyst, tumour, nodule, whatever the fuck it was. But that’s gone now, and they say long as I don’t do anything stupid, I should be good for the rest of my career. I know once you get cancer you’re never really out of the woods, but if the process doesn’t scare you into changing your lifestyle, then shame on you.”
Dave is no stranger to injuries and pain. He suffered career-threatening nerve damage to his left arm during a 2002 stint in a Texas rehab, and a decade later, underwent emergency surgery for spinal stenosis – whiplash, if you will – resulting in titanium implants in his neck. Flashing his trademark maniacal smile, Dave insists he felt no fear in the face of death.
“I already died once,” he says, referencing his 1993 overdose on Valium. “I don’t remember anything, though. No light or tunnel or any of that shit. I respect death but I’m not living my life in fear. There was a little when I first found out that I had cancer, but it wasn’t so much about dying, as not being able to use my gift anymore, to play guitar or sing. That really shook me. To be inconvenienced is one thing. It’s something else to lose your gift.”
Dave leans in. His steely glare, coupled with the white beard and wild hair, gives him the appearance of some Old Testament prophet of doom. “When they told me that my arm was 80% and I would never play guitar again, I thought, ‘You have no idea who you’re talking to. I will absolutely play again, and it’ll be a matter of days, not weeks.’ There’s a couple things I still can’t do, but I feel like I can play almost as good as I used to. Going through that thing with my arm was helpful. It gave me the courage to face any kind of medical problem I might have down the road. I’m going to do everything they say and if there’s blood, I can handle it. I’ve seen my own blood before.”
We ask about the darkest days, if his reputation causes people to expect an unrealistic level of strength. Dave fidgets with his shoelace. Ruffles the pup sweetly. Reaches for another piece of gum before the reply.
“I think people do expect me to be invincible. It is a lot of pressure,” he admits. “But when you come out on the other side victorious, they cheer even louder. I like being a man of the people. That might sound corny, but it’s true. The hardest part was having to let others take care of me. I’ve always been so independent that even if I do need help, I’m not going to let anyone know. But overall, chemo wasn’t as ugly for me as it is for a lot of people. I had a couple of days where I got really sick and threw up, but that was it. I tried to be upbeat. When I would go in for treatment, I’d talk with the other patients, try to be encouraging.”
The thrash titan was forced to miss the band’s inaugural MegaCruise in October, with his daughter, Electra, stepping in to represent the family. Upon completion of treatment, Dave was able to return for the Killing Road tour with Five Finger Death Punch in January. While on stage at the SSE Arena in Wembley, he announced that the cancer was in complete remission.
“Actually, I think I mentioned it from the first show of the tour,” says Dave. “If not Helsinki, then Stockholm for sure. I wanted the fans to know that I’m OK and how great the crew has been. And for sure, I want to tell the truth and let everyone know how much I prayed through this whole ordeal. Not just like, ‘Oh, yeah, thanks, God.’ But that I really, seriously prayed.”
Christian for nearly two decades, Dave has always been vocal about his beliefs. While discussing the role faith played in his recovery, he pauses, raking fingers through his beard, measuring his words.
“After growing up as a Jehovah’s Witness, there was a time that I hated the concept of anything that I had to answer to. The church disfellowshipped my sister, Debbie, and I was the only one who would sit and listen to her cry. It flipped me out and all I wanted to do was get back at the people who hurt my sister,” Dave explains. “But now, I try to keep my prayers pretty gentle. I don’t pray for anyone to get hurt or get what’s coming to them, only for God’s will and that he would help me do what I need to do. To me, prayer is just an open, honest, easy conversation like you’re talking to your dad. Essentially, that’s what God is supposed to be, our Father, right? So that makes it easy for me to engage in prayer.”
Asked to elaborate, Dave adds, “In the Bible, the Pharisees liked to pray in public so everybody could see them. They thought the louder they prayed, the more pious they would seem, like it’s an indication of their righteousness. For me, righteousness is something that’s exhibited through consistent behaviour that’s Godly in nature. You sum up the gospels with the Golden Rule. Helping others, no matter what. There’s this old song by the Circle Jerks called Wonderful.”
He sings the chorus of the 80s punk classic. Romeo perks up, cocking an ear in his master’s direction. “It’s a great song that talks about how it’s really not so hard to do something nice for someone else. Help a stranger. Smile. If you see a homeless person, give them something to eat. I was homeless once. It was the worst, man. Scrounging for food, living in [bassist] David Ellefson’s van…”
Dave apologises for losing his train of thought, blaming the lingering effects of “chemo brain”. After a break, he switches gears, discussing the positive changes that have come from his battle with the disease. “My wife and I are getting along tremendously, and things are really good with my son and daughter right now, too. I’ve got a better relationship with my band. The other day, Kiko [Loureiro, guitarist] says to me, ‘I really like this new Dave!’ What he was talking about, is when you’re dealing with pain, you drink, you smoke, you bitch, because you don’t know what’s going on. But soon as I found out what was wrong with me, I attacked it. Once I did, I could feel myself getting happier too.
Support also came from outside Dave’s immediate circle. His old band brother, James Hetfield, reached out, as did Kiss’s Paul Stanley and Ozzy, who was at war with his own medical demons in 2019.
“Everybody’s treatment is different, but Bruce Dickinson had been through throat cancer about five years ago, so he was able to give me a lot of insight into what to expect. His biggest advice was to listen to the doctors and don’t rush to get back onstage. They told him to hold off, but he went back out to perform and nothing came out. Well, OK. I get it. Bruce waited a month before his first show, so I held off a little longer. My last treatment was in September and I made plenty of time to rest, exercise and eat right before we went back out on tour. We did 22 dates overseas, and I feel great now, except for the fatigue. But I think a lot of that might be due to um, extracurricular activities. Staying up late. Not sleeping. Maybe a little, you know…”
Thumb and forefinger to his lips, Dave inhales sharply, making the universal symbol for partaking of the herb. Could he be referring to the alleged medicinal benefits of CBD oil? “Don’t screw around with the oil, man,” he growls in the same gravel baritone as his crushing thrash classics. Our eyes go wide as the voice from sixth grade Headbangers Ball comes to life.
Dave cackles at our reaction, pushing back a wayward strand of hair. “If you’re gonna do it, get the good stuff. I think the world is just now finding out the beauty of cannabis and everything it can do for you. I hear people talk how it’s good for cancer patients. C’mon, it’s good for any fucking patient! The radiation zapped my salivary glands so I couldn’t make spit, which made it really hard to swallow and get food down. They gave me this crazy mouthwash to use that had Benadryl and lidocaine in it, but I still couldn’t eat. So cannabis helped with that, except I got a terrible craving for kiddie cereal. I went to the store and got, like, 20 boxes.”
The thought of the Tornado Of Souls singer devouring countless bowls of cereal is a pretty cool picture and we can’t help but inquire about his favourite fix. “Trix with marshmallows. Froot Loops with marshmallows. Frosted Flakes. The kind with little marshmallows. You get the idea. My cancer team told me to try and watch the sugar intake, but they said, ‘Dave, if you can eat – then eat.’ The doctor threatened to put a feeding tube in my gut if I lost too much weight. Well, they scared the shit out of me with that one, but it worked.”
With Dave healthy and back onstage, the follow-up to 2016’s Grammy Award-winning Dystopia is on every Megafan’s brain. Late last year, Dave teased songs that were “heavy as hell” with titles such as Rattlehead, Part Two and The Dogs Of Chernobyl.
“I don’t know if any of those titles are still holding up,” he says, revealing that the band has been tracking at Nashville’s Sound Kitchen with co-producer Chris Rakestraw at the controls again. “Whenever I make a record, the names of the songs change so many times. I think we’ve got 14 songs for this album and another folder with six. The songs are constantly evolving and as they do, we change the title to be more reflective of what makes the song distinct.”
So, will we see a new Megadeth album before 2020 ends? “I hope so, yeah,” says Dave. “We’ll start back in a couple of days and keep plowing until it’s done. Metal Tour Of The Year starts this summer, but that should be fun and easy [Editor’s note – we spoke to Dave before COVID-19 outbreak]. We’ve got a week’s vacation coming up soon and I’m going to go rest up and get ready to come back and make a brilliant record.”
Nashville traffic is anarchy these days and Romeo looks like he needs to hike his leg. As the sun sets over the Cumberland River, Dave stands and slides an arm around our shoulder, recruiting Metal Hammer to thank the fans for all their thoughts and prayers. It strikes us, how we expect legends to be carved from granite. On one hand, we understand that our heroes are human. But on the other, we never want to see them frail, or sick, or down. And that must be a hell of a burden sometimes. But perhaps, it’s also what keeps them moving. If our heroes can keep pushing, then that gives us the courage to keep pushing too, through all the shitstorms of life, disasters both natural and manufactured, even the ones we bring upon ourselves. Decades later, they still inspire perseverance, hope, and the determination to never let the bastards grind you down. Maybe even a little 21st century metal up your ass.
Still, we have to ask one last thing. Dave’s been on the road almost 40 years. Dues paid; the mark has been made. Was he ever tempted to call it a day, sit back on the farm and enjoy a slow, simple life?
“Yeah, I guess I could do that,” he admits, shrugging like it’s no big deal. “But I love what I do, and I like helping the band and crew make money. Playing music makes people happy. A lot of times while we’re out there, they share stuff with us, some good, some bad, but we get to bring our own little brand of panacea to people and somehow, that makes them feel beautiful. Even if it’s for just one night.”

Job 37:1-39:30, 2 Corinthians 4:13-5:10, Psalms 44:9-26, Proverbs 22:13
Today is the 31st day of August. Welcome to the Daily Audio Bible. I’m Brian. It's great to be here with you. Wow. Last day of the week, last day of the month, like everything's coming together as we prepare to move into the next season. And, yeah, looking forward to tonight at the family reunion here in the rolling hills of Tennessee. So, yeah, a good ending to a good month. I hope it's been good for you. What territory we have covered in the month of August and that we will continue to carry forward as we move into September. We’re reading from the book of Jon and we’ve got a little bit more…a little bit more to go. We've been reading from the New International Version this week. Today, Job, chapter 37 through 39. And just by way of reminder, you know, Job's been talking to his friends, his friends have been talking to Job. We know all that. And there's this Elihu, this other voice comes into the mix, a younger man whose been sitting and waiting and he's talking now. What Job wanted all along was to talk to God. Today when Elihu gets done God's gonna show up and God has some things to say of his own. And, so, let’s dive in. Job, chapter 37.
Prayer:
Father, we thank You for Your word. We thank You for another week that You have brought us through and we thank You for another month that You have brought us through. And even as we begin to close the chapter on this month and this week, we hear Your voice and the book of Job. All of the questioning, all of the advice, and then You have shown up with…with impossible questions that simply reveal we do not in any way know anywhere near all that we think that we know, and we have barely scratched the surface when it comes to knowing You. And yet, this is our desire, to know You, as Paul said, in spirit and in truth. This is our desire and we acknowledge that we, in our own strength, in our own minds we are only capable of so much and that is through a glass darkly, that is scratching the surface. And yet by Your Holy Spirit we can be led into all truth. This is what You've offered us, this is what You've given to us. And, so, we simply need to follow. Come, Holy Spirit, lead us into all truth we pray. In the name of Jesus we ask. Amen.
Announcements:
dailyaudiobible.com is the website, its home base, and it’s where you find out what’s going on around here.
And man, tonight or actually this afternoon into night, into this evening we’ll be at the family reunion here in the rolling hills of Tennessee. So, we’re looking forward to that, looking forward to seeing everyone and praying safe travels over everyone who’s coming into the Nashville area today. We are eager and looking forward to shaking hands and hugging necks and telling stories and being together and making acquaintances and rekindling friendships and all of the things that happen when we come together as a community. So, looking forward to that.
Here's a little bit of an announcement on the apps. We released a major update a couple days ago and we’ve been talking about that and immediately we were able to see a couple of little things that needed to be fixed. Those of you who experienced some checkbox issues and stuff like that…like…it’s really interesting because you can test and test and test but until you get something into the wild when thousands of people are starting to hit the system that you…you know…there’s like no way. And, so, we saw a couple of things there and the team worked very, very diligently to create what's called a hot fix. So, there’s a little update, just update again and those issues will go away as well as a couple of other issues. Those of you who are Android users should be experiencing…ahh…for the first time really stable performance. And, so, we can see that because we used to see crash logs, you know, like over a thousand crashes a day that have gone down to just about zero. So, we are making massive steps forward. And this checkbox issue…this has been such a frustrating issue since the get go. And what we've done is put a pretty big fix in place, but the next major update that we do, that will eliminate that problem forever. Like, that will be a thing of the past to the point that no matter what you do, no matter where you do it, it's in the cloud. So, it’ll will be responsive no matter where you are. We were playing with it the other day where I had two different browsers up and I could like check the box of “listened” and it would immediately check…I mean…it happens no matter where you are. So, that's cool but that's…that's close. We’re close to…like…that’s the next phase. But anyway, I think we got the bugs mostly worked out, the little bugs the kind of revealed themselves once we had lots of people in the system. So, there's a new little update. Update and you'll be fine.
If you want to partner with the Daily Audio Bible, you can do that at dailyaudiobible.com. And I say every day, a humble word of gratitude and I think I always will because I…that's what my heart is…humble gratitude that we can even be here, that this community even exists, that the Lord would allow us to share planet Earth at this point in history. That we could all be together around the world doing this, that's humbling. The technology involved in doing this, like the effort in doing this is significant. And, so, I have humble gratitude that we do it together. It's that this is a community and that what we've done we've done together. So, I thank you for your partnership as we prepare to move into the month of September. So, there's a link on the homepage, at dailyaudiobible.com. If you’re using the Daily Audio Bible app, you can press the Give button in the upper right-hand corner or the mailing address, if that's your preference, is PO Box 1996 Spring Hill Tennessee 37174.
And, as always, if you have a prayer request or comment you can press the red “hot line” button that’s sitting right next to the give button in the upper right-hand corner of the Daily Audio Bible app, you can press that button and start talking or you can dial 877-942-4253.
And that's it for today. I'm Brian I love you and I'll be waiting for you here tomorrow.
Community Prayer and Praise:
Hello DAB family, guess you? Terry the Trucker. Today’s our first day back in the truck. All has went well. Have not been nervous or scared. Maybe slightly, a couple percent, but I’ve gotta say it’s been a blessed day. It really has. Forgot to start my stopwatch so I’m gonna make this short and sweet. I just want to say thank you to everybody for all the prayers and the support over the last year and I know God’s got me. What will be will be because it will be his will. I want all of you to know that I continue to pray for each and every one of you and I hope to see you at the family reunion. I’ve got a truck I get a pickup in North Carolina. So, all I gotta do is get this one back to Texas by Friday, get reloaded, and head that way. So, y’all have a blessed week.
Hey, good morning brothers and sisters of the Daily Audio Bible it’s Tuesday, August 27th and I heard some fantastic calls today and I just want to lift up Wendy. Your voice is beautiful by the way. And I want to lift up the guy that works in the UPS in Columbia South Carolina the brother and I want to lift up the sister who’s having stomach problems. And I was just so moved by the last caller, the sister who has been clean from meth for nine days. Way to go! And I’m just praying over all of you and everyone else that calls in too. Father in Jesus’ name I lift up Your beloved children to You Lord God because You are able to do anything and there is nothing too hard for You. God with You all things are possible, and You have all power and You are able to heal and set free. You know what they need father God as we call out and lift them up father God. Please protect them, comfort them, give them exactly what they need as they cry out for You and we cry out for them. In Jesus’ mighty and precious name we pray. Amen.
Hello Daily Audio Bible family, this is Truly Thankful Taylor from the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex in Texas. I’m so excited. This is my first time calling apart from the Christmas card last year and I’ve been part of the Daily Audio Bible family, listening for about eight years now. I’ve been so encouraged through the years. I first want to say thank you to Brian Jill, Ben, China, Max, Ezekiel and the rest of the Hardin family as well as all the background individuals who consistently pour into this ministry and make it possible for us to listen daily and to be a part of this amazing family. I just wanted to reach out to some of my fellow people who have been a part for a long time. Joe the Protector, you’ve been on my heart lately. Praying for you, your daughter, and your granddaughter. Margo from Australia, my heart leaps every time I hear you call in. Know that you are consistently being prayed for throughout the week. Praying especially for your health lately. Love you my sweet sister and so many of you that are so thankful in calling. Annette, I’m praying for you. Just know you are loved, and your heart, it just brings so much joy to me as I hear you. Pastor Gene, His Little Cherry, Blind Tony, Victoria Soldier, and so many others of you I don’t have time to mention right now. But just know that I love you, I’m praying for you. For those of you that are new to this ministry and new this body, I just want to encourage you to continue to press in and seek the Lord. He is so faithful and will reveal Himself to you. God’s word does not return void. And just for those of you who have been on this journey a long time, I want to encourage you to keep going. It says in Philippians 3:14 I press on toward the goal to win the prize, which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. You can do it and you can through the power of Jesus Christ who gives you strength. So, bless you everyone. I love you my family. Talk to you soon. Truly Thankful Taylor. Bye for now.
Hi DAB family I wanted to call in with a confession and then a prayer request. I’ve been praying for healing of several different relations...broken relationships in my life for the last several months and recently I have been tempted and also have given into the temptation of really trying to manipulate those relationships and taking them into my own hands to try and heal those relationships, which is not something that I can do on my own. So, the Bible says that if we confess our sins to one another and then the Lord will be faithful in forgiving no sense. So, I confess to you that I have been trying to take these things into my own hands and manipulating and telling some…some untruths for trying to repair those relationships. I ask that you would just, join me in prayer with regards to that and for the healing of those relationships. I still want those relationships to be healed in my life and those friendships and relationships to be restored. So, thank you so much for this amazing podcast. It has really made a huge impact on my life and thank you all for being such an amazing community, all the prayer warriors and I will talk to you soon.
Hi Daily Audio Bible, one of our own is suffering with brain cancer right now and I would like him to be lifted up in prayer. His name is Oli and this voyage began, ironically, less than two weeks ago and he’s already incapacitated to the point of not being able to walk. So, please lift Oli up in prayer and his beautiful wife Jessica. They have 11 children and all the prayer that can be used to bring forth God’s kingdom here on earth through this tragedy would be appreciated. And, of course, they need answers and we aren’t giving up on the miracle for a complete healing. Thank you, Daily Audio Bible.

Each day was highlighted by the fact the activities, events, sights and travel were all so well sorted. There was no indecision or time wasted by us, perfect.”
“I now appreciate and understand so much more the road that the music has taken, what has and is involved in creating it, the differences in areas, the roles that family, community and conditions have played in its development, and so on. Music will never be taken for granted again”

Who might you expect to see at our three festivals?

Isaiah 6:1-7:25, 2 Corinthians 11:16-33, Psalms 54:1-7, Proverbs 23:1-3
Today is the 10th day of September. Welcome to the Daily Audio Bible. I am Brian. And it is always a pleasure to be here with you. I mean, who wouldn't want to be with you? You're awesome! You are a child of the Most High God. It's an honor to be here with you today as we take the next step forward in our adventure through the Scriptures. And we're just getting going in this week, but we're reading from the New International Version this week. And we're just getting going in the book of Isaiah. Today we'll read Isaiah chapter 6 and 7.
Commentary:
Okay. So, in 2nd Corinthians, Paul is boasting. (Brian laughs). And it's an interesting kind of boasting because it's not like boasting in an achievement. It's boasting in who has suffered the most for Christ. What had happened was people were traveling around the churches. And there were a lot of nuanced teachings going around. And people were accepting these people into the church and hearing the gospel that they preached. And a lot of the time that had to do with what they had endured to get there. And then Paul was being lumped into this manipulative group. And believe me, I'm oversimplifying this because it's not the point. Nevertheless, Paul was exasperated because he's like, Hey, you guys. You guys know what we… You know what we went through to bring the gospel to you. We were the first ones here. You know what it took to get to you. And now that we've paved the way, all these other people are coming in and telling you all these stories and you're just eating it up. And questioning the very people who risked their very lives to get to you with the gospel. So, Paul's like, If they're gonna boast, then I'm gonna be a fool and do the same thing. I don't wanna reduce myself into this kind of contest about who has suffered the most for Jesus, but let's just state the facts. Are they Hebrews? So, am I. Are they Israelites? So, am I. Are they Abraham's descendants? So, am I. Are they servants of Christ? And he goes on and on and on. The interesting thing about this boasting, though, is that it shows what Paul was willing to go through with his team. What we would now call a leadership team. With his team, this is what they were willing to endure to bring the gospel. Alright, think about some of this stuff. I've been in prison more frequently, been flogged more severely, been exposed to death again and again, five times I received from the Jews the forty lashes minus one. Three times I was beaten with rods, once I was pelted with stones, three times I was shipwrecked. I spent a night and day in the open sea. And on and on he goes trying to say something that we need to pay attention to. This is the price. This is what it takes sometimes to bring the gospel. And although maybe the circumstances may not be one for one related to each other, this is what a pastor has to endure to care for a congregation. And Paul says it best. Beside everything else I have to go through, I face daily the pressure of my concern for the churches. Who is weak and I do not feel weak? Who is led into sin and I do not inwardly burn? And so what is his conclusion? If I gotta do this contest, if I've gotta boast, then all I can do is boast about the things that show how weak I am and how I am not equipped to do this. And how I do not know how this is being sustained. The God and Father of the Lord Jesus, who is to be praised forever, knows that I'm not lying. And those of you who are pastors in this community throughout the world, you know he's not lying because in your own context, in your own way, you understand exactly what he's talking about. It's a high price to be a leader in God's kingdom because the stakes are so high. It's a battle for the hearts of men. And it's a battle for the hearts of men and women when sometimes their hearts don't want to be rescued .Then you have to step back and watch them go down. And inwardly burn inside, as Paul said. So, let's honor those in leadership over us today. Let's consider the congregations that we're all part of and who our pastors are. Let's remember them in our prayers today. They could use it. And if this community, as vast and far flung as we are, all prayed for those in spiritual leadership today… Well, I have seen lots of really wonderful things happen through the prayers of God's people in this community. And if anyone could use the prayers of God's people, in this community today, it would be those in spiritual leadership.
Prayer:
So, Father, thank You for those that You have called who carry these heavy burdens. We ask that You give them rest. We ask that You give them comfort. We ask that You give them strength and stamina. We ask that they understand that it matters and that it continues to matter, that the burdens that they carry, although they may seem like they're not being noticed, they are. We are grateful, God, for those that You have put in this world to lead and guide Your church. Come, Holy Spirit. Lead and guide them, we pray. Even as You lead and guide us individually through all of the myriad of issues in our lives. Come, Holy Spirit, we pray. In Jesus name. Amen.

Hi, this is Victoria Soldier just calling tonight to pray with some of the DABbers. I wanted to pray with Sandy from Maryland whose been struggling with addiction. I want to pray for Craig of Birmingham and then just congratulate him on the job that…he said that the Lord blessed him with a wonderful job. And thank God for the prayer for him. I want to pray for Byron of Florida. He said he needs some help in trusting that God, that God is taking him on a long…taking him to the point that He wants him to trust Him. I just want to pray for him and I want to pray for those who are going through the strongholds of life and that God would give you the victory. Gracious Father, we praise You today, we magnify Your name. Lord, we just ask You to touch those that we called out their name, struggling with addiction Lord and need You to trust them. Oh Lord You have Your way. Lord, You touch and You let them know Lord. You let them see You stretch like never before. Oh Lord in the name of Jesus. Lord You touch my brother with addiction. Lord You can do anything but fail. Oh Lord You take away the taste of the desire for it Lord. You kill that spider first and let not down the cobweb of life. Lord, in the name of Jesus, You Have Your Way, Lord You kill that spider, You kill that spider of desire that the cobweb of life can fall from his life. In the name of Jesus. Lord anyone tonight anyone who needs deliverance from addiction, I ask You to do it in the name of Jesus. I ask You to touch my brother who needs the trust. Oh Lord You give him what he needs to trust You Lord in the name of Jesus let him come to You and let him see. Let him remember that You’re always with him. You never leave him nor forsake him so, wherever You send him he needs not fear. Let them know that…
You know what, Pelham, man you sure know how to put a smile on our faces. Thank God for ya. I’m very happy to hear your praise report as I’ve been praying for ya as well as the rest of the Daily Audio Bible community. Again, I just thank God for you and, you know, I really think God for all of the men that we have. It’s amazing. We have so many men here. I mean there’s Duane from Wisconsin, Jay from Nashville Tennessee, Will from beautiful Bozeman Montana, we’ve got Lee from Jersey, the teacher from LA, Joe the Protector, Terry the Trucker, Slave of Jesus, Blind Tony, Delta Alpha Foxtrot, there’s just so many, I can’t even name them all there so many. I don’t know about you all but where I grew up in church it’s usually less than half occupied by men. So, it’s great to see strong men of God standing without shame and proclaiming that He is Lord. And I just want to commend you all and I’ll continue to pray for you. God bless you all. Bye. Oh John 3:16.
Hello Daily Audio Bible this is Michelle from Gettysburg. I was so pumped up this morning, the 6th of September just listening to brothers and sisters around the campfire just calling it together. That group call was just beyond amazing, absolutely amazing, knowing that there’s a community out there prayerful praying. I just…I love it…I…I can’t wait for the next Labor Day weekend Tennessee get together for Daily Audio Bible. I’m in a play that in right now into being. Hello brothers and sisters, just asking your prayer request for my mom who is…she’s a trooper…fighting cancer. It’s been beating her down. She is depressed. I pray that you would just __ she does listen to these calls. So, I hope that she hears this and knows she has brothers and sisters praying her through, praying for her strength to endure this. We’re praying that God takes this cancer out of her body and just believing that He is in control of every end of what’s going on. I just ask that you would pray for her, lift her spirits, of course for this cancer to be gone, and just…she believes…she just needs the power to sustain that belief and have her faith just be strong…just be strong in the Lord. I am asking that. Thank you Daily Audio Bible family.
Good morning, this is Terry from California. I haven’t called in a while. I apologize. Praise report, my daughter is back home and is no longer in that living situation but the main reason why I called today because at my church we just got done with the book of James and I was really convicted of something about a confession that we confessed to each other. And when I did something 10 years ago, I cheated on my husband. I haven’t done it since. I haven’t thought about it since but it’s really been heavy on my heart since Sunday. I was really convicted on it and I know our God forgives and He’s an amazing Father and I just want to be obedient and confess what I did 10 years ago to my Daily Audio Bible family. I love you all. I appreciate you all and I hope you all have a good day. Bye.

“You were a wonderful tour leader – so well organised, quiet, kind, patient, considerate and knowledgeable – with so many interesting contacts and friends who clearly respected you and whom you shared with us. “I now appreciate and understand so much more the road that the music has taken, what has and is involved in creating it, the differences in areas, the roles that family, community and conditions have played in its development, and so on. Music will never be taken for granted again”
