hello to all that despair from whatever m27 was, here is my art piece for a kaishin borderline howl's moving castle au!!

i say borderline because while this was my idea, i didn't actually like. finish watching the movie before, so the lovely writer @jodaneko chose to contribute their extensive wisdom and bring my idea to life! their fic part is linked above. please follow/subscribe to the fic for future chapters; it's been wonderful planning and watching this fic's progress!

Welcome to the Fifth Round of DCMKKaishinEvent’s Kaishin Secret Santa!

Hello everyone, my name is Mac! I’m here to announce @dcmkkaishinevents’s next upcoming event: Kaishin Secret Santa 2024!

What is a secret santa? It’s a fanworks exhange based on prompts. Participants will sign up and fill out their interests and up to three prompts they would like to receive, as well as some information on what they are offering to create. Participants will then be matched to the best of my ability and begin working on their fanwork in secret.

What are the minimum requirements for the exchange? Writers || 1,500 words Artists || 1 finished piece (black and white, color, comic are okay) Graphics || a set of 4 images If you want to offer something else, please talk to the mod first! Participants will also need to have a Discord as that’s where the majority of communication will occur.

What is the schedule? October 20 || sign-ups open October 27 || sign-ups close October 31 || matches made and DMs sent out November 30 || deadline - check-in December 22 || deadline - all works posted on this day (no earlier, no later)

All deadlines will be 21:00 (9pm) CST/CDT.

Thought I’d put up some old Kaishin stuff from 2022 that I never posted here from the KSBB that year (hosted by @kaishinbigbang) for a collab I did with @jodaneko! This au is a murder mystery set in a fantasy version of historical Qing Dynasty China :) Check out the lovely corresponding fic here!

A curse (or a blessing? 👀)

A quick drawing i did as one part of a collab w/ @jodaneko and @kinsdura for this year’s @dcmkkaishinevents One Prompt Challenge ☺️ The word was Soulmates, so we came up with a fun short story to match ☀️💐! I’ve had this sketch in the drafts for a very long time, so I was very happy to finish it <3 More to come from this collab soon!
