Welcome to the Fifth Round of DCMKKaishinEvent’s Kaishin Secret Santa!

Hello everyone, my name is Mac! I’m here to announce @dcmkkaishinevents’s next upcoming event: Kaishin Secret Santa 2024!

What is a secret santa? It’s a fanworks exhange based on prompts. Participants will sign up and fill out their interests and up to three prompts they would like to receive, as well as some information on what they are offering to create. Participants will then be matched to the best of my ability and begin working on their fanwork in secret.

What are the minimum requirements for the exchange? Writers || 1,500 words Artists || 1 finished piece (black and white, color, comic are okay) Graphics || a set of 4 images If you want to offer something else, please talk to the mod first! Participants will also need to have a Discord as that’s where the majority of communication will occur.

What is the schedule? October 20 || sign-ups open October 27 || sign-ups close October 31 || matches made and DMs sent out November 30 || deadline - check-in December 22 || deadline - all works posted on this day (no earlier, no later)

All deadlines will be 21:00 (9pm) CST/CDT.

Welcome to Kaishinbigbang 2024!

Hey guys! My name is Mac and i’m going to be your host for this adventure!

We are officially just a week out from the start of theme voting (!!!), so here’s some important information regarding this event!

So, what is a bang?

A bang is a type of fan challenge in which writers and artists work together to produce new collaborative content for the fandom.

In a reverse bang, the artist signs up first and creates a sketch, and the writer claims the person they want to write for based on the sketch and summary the artists provide.

This year we will have an optional theme which you will be able to vote on!

Who can join?

The event is open to artists and writers of all abilities in any stage of their fandom journey –  a fun opportunity for Kaishin shippers to come together and celebrate the relationship between Kudou Shinichi and Kuroba Kaito in all its variations.

What kinds of fanworks are accepted?

We are specifically accepting the following:

fanfiction

traditional and digital art

graphic sets

moodboards

icon sets

cosplay photosets

fanvids

KaiShin One Prompt Challenge

I’m picking the third prompt: ABO Alpha!Shinichi/Omega!Kaito with a little identity shenanigan, which is always a beloved trope in kaishin. This can also be taken as enemies to friends to lovers, but i’ll leave it to anyone who wants to expand on this. Anyway, happy end-of-the-year! May next year be a good one to you! 💙🎁🎄

Hey, @cyndraws !!! I really really loved your first prompt where I could redraw the official screenshot! So I did that, took a scene from the movie "The Lost Ship in the Sky", and mixed it with some secret identity shenanigans xD

I had some text on it at first but figured, anyone should interpret this scene however they want ;D

The second Prompt was more of a struggle but they look cute!

DCMKKaishinEvents is a Kaishin-focused multi-event blog on Tumblr! Its purpose is to bring together the Kaishin communitiy through various types of short-term and long-term fanworks events, including but not limited to ship/character weeks, exchanges, bangs, charity auctions, and other challenges.
