Not sure when I'll replay MAH (it's been a year since I last played).

Anyhow, I am of course open to questions about any of these MCs and pairings. Even the ones where I don't have as much of a profile developed for them, random questions do help jog the character-building process haha

What it is:

Think secret Santa but for Valentine's Day.

Everyone who shows interest in participating will be given a match for whom they should create (or commission) a small work (drabble, art, edit, moodboard, etc)

Note: When listing your interests, please include any preferred gender/race characteristics you may have for customizable character. If you have FCs you are welcome to list them as well.

If you want to participate but would rather not create for a particular user, feel free to message me privately and if you get that person, I'll re-spin the Wheel of Names.

What comes next:

On, or about, February 4-5, I will message you with your match and what they listed as their top 3 interests. [I use Wheel of Names to match users]

You create something for them based on their interests and post it for them on February 14-16.

You do NOT have to create for all 3 pairings, one is enough. The 3 is to give you a choice for what you're comfortable with!

Jo is GNC/masc/butch as hell. Specifically, "cool guy"/"bad boy" masc. No way Ava's dad would like that, let alone consider it "normal"!

Like, Jo may not be alt or into the witchy stuff like Ava is, but she's clearly veryyyyyyyy masc. A dad who is "not really sexist" but is incredibly old-fashioned and gets worked up about what boys would like in a girl's clothing taste would NOT like Jo or consider her "normal". I do not buy it. Lmao

Hehe I'm happy to contribute! And thank you for hosting these book clubs! The ILITW one is definitely helping me flesh out Jo Hunter a lot more, with all the guided polls and the focused MC questions (I love building my own versions of the MCs and when Choives stories give me the ability to do that).

I regret skipping out on most of the previous book clubs (Elementalists especially, I haven't played it yet but I know it's one I'll love because the MC seems very flexible) but hey, even if I can't neccesarily contribute to the polls I can still answer the questions, make a profile using those lovely profile templates, etc. when I do get around to playing them <3

And I'm definitely making it a goal to participate in future book clubs when I can. Not sure about Blades 3 since I'm way behind (haven't even started Blades 2, and I need a replay of Blades 1 with an official MC rather than a prototype MC), but I'm definitely gonna make it a goal to keep up with future book clubs! Both for Books/MCs I've already played and for books I haven't played yet.

6. Who will they take advice from, no matter what it is? Who won’t they take advice from, no matter what it is?

Probably Ava, Andy, or Lucas. Sometimes Connor and her parents. She's closest with them.

Actually, those guys for sure but DEFINITELY Dan, as he becomes very skilled in therapy stuff.

10. What age do they most want to be right now?

Sometimes she wishes she were much older, like maybe 30 at least, where she could be more mature and sure in her decisions and feeling like she knows what she's doing.

11. They’ve won the lottery. Spend, or save?

Somewhere in between. She'd want to treat herself and her (closest) friends to a vacation, but she wouldn't want to go too overboard in spending.

17. Do they like children?

Oh damn, it's a very mixed bag for Jo. In a vacuum, she does like children and she does theoretically like the idea of maybe having children one day (as long as she doesn't have to carry and give birth to them ofc).

But on the other hand, seeing or listening to young children can sometimes trigger flashbacks of her own childhood and the incident with Redfield and Jane. Seeing kids laughing and playing or crying brings her right back to those memories.

And the fact that that happens, really pisses her off. Whether or not she ends up growing around this and thus has a couple of kids with Lucas and Andy, I'm still figuring out.
