Ok ok ok, to preface, all of these guys exist in a somewhat-modern fantasy world in the early 2000's. (Cool fantasy creatures & monsters included). This also means that they get to indulge in early fandom and internet stuff too. :o

A very small portion of the population get cool golden tattoos called Marks which are manifestations of the worlds magic gifted to people. Each mark symbolizes a specific concept and can change based on persons growth! (Example: The Mark "Flare" can allow a person to shoot fire, create explosions or even fireworks, but it will never give someone the ability to shoot water.)

Eve Takahashi: Resident grad student, gifted child burnout and woman in STEM, Eve is... well shes definitely smart. Horribly narcissistic and rather cold, Eve is only focused on her research into artifical marks, cute plushies, and planning revenge. Eve's mark "Hypergenesis" gives her control over the growth and function of her body. She uses it to do things like survive life-ending injuries or grow new limbs. Eve harbors a obssession with Emile who she wants to use to settle a old grudge. Frankly she's a bit silly, in a weird concerning way.

Lucas Zhao: An apprentice forgemaster that seeks to bend the rules of magic. Lucas is knowledgeable on many aspects of the mark world. Due to his prior study under a forgemaster program, Lucas has incredible precision in studying and crafting magical objects for the party to use. These abilities make him bear the responsibility of being the party's “general weapons expert” when he isn’t playing interference during combat using his mark "Fracture" Lucas can be extremely talkative and can struggle to read how others feel about him. In the past, this led to him being friends with many unsavory types. Lucas tends to clash mostly with Klaus and Lynne who aren’t tolerant of his constant jokes.

Kara Hayes: Frequent partygoer and adrenaline junkie, Kara lives for the thrill of combat, property damage… and explosions. Kara also seeks the admiration, affection, and attention of her peers which led her to assist the group in fighting Eve. While initially wanting the glory associated with beating her, Kara increasingly finds herself hunting her down, supposedly for vengeance.

Emile Martin: A fanatic of the magical, Emile wishes to explore and experience the intricacies of magical life. However, after a chance encounter with Eve, he finds himself mainpulated and hunted by her. Emile is kind and caring (Albeit a bit oblivious) which contrasts his mark "Vitality" which has the potential to control life and also to kill. Understandingly he's hesitant to use it, even again Eve.

Jin-sung-Cheong: A distant and reserved man with a passion for Sigils and Ritual Circles, Jin pursues information in the forbidden and esoteric. Jin was conducting research into sigils, curses, and ritual circles even before he got his mark, but he felt like he had reached the limit of what he could accomplish on his own. His extensive research led him to discover the published works of Eve Takahashi, someone he initially admired. Jin had intended to seek her out, however, he received his mark and therefore entry into the institute before he could make the trip. Jin is extremely poor at social communication and can struggle to convey his feelings in the appropriate way. Due to his blunt and concise nature, he can come across as unfeeling, cold, or just an asshole.

Sophia Kaminski: A amateur writer far outside of her comfort zone, Sophia possesses an overwhelming desire to learn and find herself. She utilizes swordsmanship and her mark "frost" to make herself a fierce melee combatant! Sophia's direct, serious, no-nonsense attitude sometimes brings her into conflict with her lazier, more laid-back friends. Even though she tries to maintain a judgemental and stubborn personality, deep down, she’s a dork.

Lynne Evans: Tough, stubborn and fierce, Lynne grew up in a isolated town, neglected by her mother. Expectingly, Lynne still harbors baggage that lets her channel her mark "Tenacity" giving her the strength and durability to survive against all odds. Even though she's amazingly strong (And kinda feared) Lynne desperately yearns for human connection and affection.

A similar case happens with Fire Dragon. Both coach Jin-Sung and reserve player Chung-Yoon have the surname "Lee".

These do not look that similar unlike Majidi and Rajab, so maybe it's a coincidence this time around?

...In my case, NAH. They are uncle and nephew to me. Though, there are reasons why he was called into the selection, and none of them have to do with any nepotism. There are also reasons why they look so different, too (?)

No offense, but there's no way L5 put two players in DL with the same exact surname (Ismail), yet did nothing with the concept or let it be treated as a "coincidence"... 😭

"...You were with him.” She turned over to Cheong-san. 

“He was behind me, but..."

"Then where is he?”

"I don't know."

“Wait we are another person short..”

"We're missing Min-jee too," Wu-Jin said as he looked around noticing the familiar girl's presence wasn't around.

"They're both missing.." 

Hwa-young looked at Soo-jin who in turn only frowned at her, both were worried for their friend and Su-hyeok. 

Nam-ra looked outside in search of Su-hyeok and Min-jee but found nothing all she saw were two zombies that ran by and one appear to close up to block out her view.

……………..

Soft cries were heard Yoon Gwi-Nam looked over at the crying girl before moving forward to cover her mouth, "You. Shut your mouth." She softly whimpered. Gwi-Nam heard a slight gurgle sound and looked over to see it was a zombie. He waited for a moment as it dawned on him that it was either her or him. With that, he pushed her out from where they were underneath. The girl crawled away to get far but was unsuccessful. Her screams were heard as well as her flesh being bitten off. Shin Hyung-Seo and Gwi-Nam flinched at the sound but remained quiet. They both ended there when the outbreak began in the cafeteria. With nowhere to run Gwi-Nam went to the kitchen, sacrificed the lunch lady, and hid under what appeared to be a stove. Hyung-Seo was already there.

"Rescue team Three, head to Hyosan Hospital. Team four, head over to the accident at the Hyosan intersection. Team two, you have another call. Fire, Hyosan High School. Please head there right away. Ambulance One, stay where you are." 

So-ju looked at the radio and picked it up, "Team One. We've arrived at the accident." Soon other dispatchers answered in order.

"Rescue Team Two. We'll head to the accident at Hyosan High School." 

"Accident reports keep coming in. All units, standby where you are." 

Nam So-Ju, Kim U-Sin, and Park Young-hwan got out of the vehicle. So-ju looked over to the side as he heard a female scream, a blackbird flew by and landed above them. They looked at the bird for a moment before So-ju told them let's go. All three medical dispatchers ran into the building.

……………..

Park Mi-Jin smoked a cigarette in the bathroom stall while sitting on the covered toilet seat quietly. 

"We should stay here a bit longer."

"Right. Okay." 

Plastic was heard for a bit before a small thud hit the floor, Mi-jin had just thrown the now empty cigarette box on the floor.

"Do you think they're gone?" Yoo Joon-sung said as he stood by the bathroom stall's door. 

"What do we do? Shouldn't we call the cops?" Lee Ha-lim replied as she sat on the covered toilet. 

"We can't go out now."

"I'm sure they're still out there."

"Who's smoking in this situation?"

"Who are you to hide in the girls' room? Be a man. Wimp." Mi-jin said while taking a small drag from her cigar. 

"Why, you... Who are you?"

"Leave her alone. It's Mi-jin." Ha-lim reached out to grab Joon-sung's wrist. 

"Mi-jin? Park Mi-jin?" 

"Yes."

"Joon-sung. I'm really dizzy." She said sickly, she looked sick too.

"Is it bad? What do we do?"

"I don't know. It's weird. Every sound is muffled, and I'm dizzy." Mi-jin was minding her business until she heard Ha-lim explain what she felt. She looked over at them before resuming back to her quick smoke session.

"Ha-lim, it's probably just from the shock."

Let's go to the hospital once things calm down outside, okay?" 

"Okay." A squeak was heard as a bathroom stall was unlocked and opened. Mi-jin then knocked on their door.

"What is it? Who is it?" 

"Hey, open up." She then bangs on the door before going to kick it, "Open up. Now!"

"Why, you-" Joon-sung mumbled as he unlocked the door. Just as he opened it he was pulled outside by Mi-jin, "get out."

"What are you doing?"

"Don't move," Mi-jin said while pushing Ha-lim back with a toilet plunger. She searched the girl for a bite.

"What's wrong?" The sick girl asked before she groaned in pain due to Mi-jin reaching out towards her to push aside her shirt. There on Ha-lim's body near her shoulder was a bite mark. Mi-jin moved back and immediately shut the door.

"What are you doing?"

"Fuck, let go of me!" Mi-jin yelled out while pushing away Joon-sung's arm from her.

"Mi-jin," Ha-lim said while looking at the door thinking about how to get out. 

"Listen carefully. You know how to play tag, right? We're all hiding here to get away from someone. But now... You're it." Ha-lim's nose began to bleed, small whimpers were heard as she began to cry silently. 

"Don't just stand there! Help!" Mi-jin yelled at Joon-sung who was just standing there on the side whereas Mi-jin was holding the door, struggling, to prevent Ha-lim from coming out. 

"But Ha-lim's in there." 

"Ugh, She was bitten. Do you get that? Now, help." Reluctantly Joon-sung went to help Mi-jin.

"Mi-jin, don't do this... I'm okay... Let me out." Mi-jin glanced at Joon-sung before backing up from the door slightly, "Shut up, zombie." 

"Joon-sung, don't do this. Let me out." Ha-lim began to plea. The blood fr her nose continues to run down spreading slightly on her pale lips and now down her chin. She kept trying to get the door open, but failed miserably, "We ran away together earlier. I save you."

Those words seem to have hit a spot on Joon-sung, Mi-jin came back after going to the cleaning supply corner and grabbed a mop, "If you let her out, we all die."

Ha-lim gave up in trying to get them to open the door and instead grabbed the metal above the bathroom stall's door and pulled herself up. 

"Shit. Shit!" Mi-jin panicked a bit and thrust the mop in Ha-lim's face. Ha-lim fell back, the back of her head smacking the metal part of where the toilet was connected to the wall. 

"Get it together! Look up." 

"What do you want from me?" Joon-sung exclaimed. 

"We have to kill her."

"Kill Ha-lim?"

"She's not Ha-lim anymore. She's a... Zombie." Ha-lim's eyes rolled back as she began to transform. Somehow she managed to look more pale and sick, her bones began to crack, eyes turned bloodshot red. "Still, I don't wanna," Joon-sung said. Ha-lim looked over at the door panting, the virus was still fighting her and would soon take her over.

"Do we have any other options?" 

"I don't know."

"Mi-jin. I hear you." Ha-lim said weakly.

"I know."

"Do you really have to do that to me?"

Mi-jin didn't like this, but she couldn't figure out any other way, "You're going to turn, eventually."

"I- I know. But you..." Ha-lim began to struggle to speak, but continued, "I will kill you first. I'll kill you before anyone else." 

"Bitch."

"Mi-jin. I'm so scared" Ha-lim cried out before arching her back in pain. Bones crunching and body spasmed. The door began to shake due to zombie Ha-lim hitting it. Mi-jin stomped on the mop on the end causing it to break, "get ready." She said glancing at the door before looking at Joon-sung, "Hey! I said get ready."

"For what?"

"We gotta kill her." Mi-jin took small deep breaths to prepare herself before seeing that Joon-sung wasn't moving, "Are you gonna hold that forever?" Joon-sung looked at her and slowly let go, his hands slid down the door, and took a few steps back quietly and slowly. The door creaked open, and there zombie Ha-lim was biting the air, she turned around as the door opened. A loud growl was heard, Ha-lim now a zombie went straight for Mi-jin. If Mi-jin could change this she would, she gripped the now broken mop and lunged the spikey part of the broken mop into the zombie's mouth, and out came through its neck. The zombies growled unfazed and continued to walk toward Mi-jin. More and more did the zombie slide down the stick, "What are you doing?!" Mi-jin yelled out to Joon-sung who was hiding in a corner behind her. After wincing and groaning he went to help Mi-jin push the zombie back, "Why won't she die?" Joon-sung said while panicking. 

"I don't know. Maybe it's not the right spot." The zombie grabbed onto the side of the stall and pushed forward against them. Soon its head lopsided and it stopped growling and an arrow had lodged itself through her neck. A few seconds after it fell, "What?" Mi-jin and Joon-sung let go of the mop letting the body fall. Mi-jin turned towards the door. Jang Ha-ri walked in a stance ready to hit them with an arrow too. Immediately Mi-jin and Joon-sung put their hands up, "Stop. Not us. We're fine." Ha-ri ignored her, instead, she pulled her arm that held the arrow in between the bow's bowstring back more.

"Not us, Jackass!" Hearing someone yell, Jung Min-Jae hurried in to look at what was happening, "Hey, I think they're okay. Zombies don't curse." 

Ha-ri didn't budge, "Shoot if they turn." Min-Jae didn't question her, instead, he just followed her instructions.

"You crazy bitch. We're fine- ahh" just as she was about to push Ha-ri the speakers of the school squeaked loudly.

Ms. Park took a moment and rubbed her hands on her shirt as she desperately wanted the blood off of her hands, she looked around the room before going over to the Microphone connected to the intercoms around the school. She took a deep breath and pressed the button. All the students in the school winched at the loud sound the speakers produced, soon it was replaced by Ms. Park's voice. 

"Students and teachers of Hyosan High School. I'm Park Sun-Hwa, the English teacher. Something strange is happening throughout the school. Some students are attacking others indiscriminately. So please flee and find a safe place. And if any student or faculty hears this and is able to, please call the police and the fire department. Students, hide somewhere safe until help arrives. If you can get out of the school, please get out. I'll say it again. Some students are..." Ms. Park looked down and took a deep breath as she swallowed back her fear, "Hey, everyone... You're okay, right? You're not hurt, right? I don't know what's going on in here or how this whole thing happened, but... Still, find a safe place and hide. I... I'm sorry... I can't help. Don't get hurt, okay? Please, let's stay alive and meet again. Okay?"

I'm genuinely enjoying All Of US Are Dead so far (take everything I say under the headline: I'm not finished yet) but honestly, I'm getting really tired of the female character's having nigh zero agency of their own.

Nearly all the big action scenes belong to the guys - the most obvious one being the race to the first classroom they were hiding in, where the guys push back the zombies and the girls just...huddle behind them or the library fight scene or the scene where they climb down the façade and Cheong-San ends up swooping in again - meanwhile the girls basically get herded this way or that.

I've lost count of how often the female characters had to be snatched out of harm's way or by one of the boys heroically swooping in to save them - like, this is literally one of the covers:

- and it's just one of many, many scenes like this one, especially in the first few episodes.

Plus, when I-Sak dies, they literally show a montage of On-Jo and her trying out make-up and going shopping together? That's the most interesting way the writers could come up with to show that a teenage girl would be sad about losing her best friend? In fact, considering how devasted On-Jo is - how she doesn't want to let go of I-sak even when she's already turning, how she almost stays in the room even when the zombies are already breaking down the door, how she keeps talking about how cold I-Sak's hand was when they stood next to each other at the window - the seriousness this loss is given in the script and the good, serious acting in the scene where she turns and the scenes where On-Jo mourns her almost make these flashbacks of them giggling for photos in funny hats and putting on eye-shadow at the mall...kind of jarring. I actually think those scenes might be more effective without the flashbacks.

Plus: So many scenes of discussing their assigned romance-plots during times of crisis.

Then you have the plot of Nam-Ra (token class-president due to her rich mother's donations, is never taken serious), Na-Yeon (hysterical, irrational, ruins a promising young man's life with a false allegation - like, this is the one that I found the most annoying), then you have the Eun-Ji storyline of her getting filmed naked by her bullies, attempting to commit suicide but being interrupted by the zombie apocalypse - - - only to die another, equally meaningless death trying to destroy all those phones that no one was ever going to look at (which could be a great way to talk about futility or desperation, but you don't need to kill her to tell that story) and Hee-Su who has a pregnancy storyline and despite all the time we spent with her getting away from the school - setting up a journey through the apocalyptic city - gets killed off really quickly as well.

I feel like the exceptions are Mi-Jin and Ha-Ri but they're really minor characters - and another thing I've noticed is that any even slightly over-weight character (and so far, I'm pretty sure I've only seen boys who were even the least bit chubby) are always the comic relief. And in the bathroom scenes where Mi-Jin und Ha-Ri are stuck, most of their 'empowerment' happens at the expense of turning Joon-Sung into the butt-end of some joke, usually about how unmanly he is, that he's a coward who has to be saved by women (contrasted by our main-characters, where the guys are constantly saving and herding the girls and have conversations about self-sacrifice, putting yourself in danger, being brave yadda-yadda)

And a lot of female characters who are in positions of power/protecting others are quickly removed: Mrs. Park disappears for a really long time after announcing that she was going to make that PSA she did and even when the kids are back with her, she is strangely silent for a teacher even during important strategic discussions - mostly she's just weighing in for moral stuff and to mediate their fights. This I'm actually okay with because it does establish her believably as a teacher while also letting the kids take centre stage - because it's their show. But together with all the other female characters this becomes a pattern: Cheong-San's mother is killed off really quickly in an attempt to save her son that makes you wonder why it was even necessary to include that story line (I haven't finished the show yet, I hope Cheong-San will at least find out and see his idea that she cared more about her chicken restaurant than him a little challenged. But also, the chicken restaurant was doomed anyway considering there is an apocalypse, so I'm not sure how much that even matters) and same with Hee-su, who also gets zombified protecting her baby pretty quickly. Now, our closest male equivalent would probably be Mr Song, the cop - who has, at the point where I'm at, not really done much but he's still in the game and I'm going to see if he also gets killed off too or saves the day (or both)

And looking at other end of the spectrum, away from our heroic characters, we also see the same dilemma there: The men get a lot more diversity personality-wise. We have, of course, Mr Lee, mad science teacher who experimented on his son and bred a zombie virus in a school, the school bullies, the principal and his obsession with the upcoming inspection, the military commander, a lot of minor characters like those social media pranksters. The most prominent female 'antagonist' is, again and I cannot stress enough: Na-Yeon, who is constantly portrayed as nagging, annoying, mean, snobbish, and ends up making a False Accusation against a Good Guy - and ends up zombifying him when she's asked to apologise. So far, this is the storyline I have the biggest issue with, as you can probably tell.

Apocalypse stories, stories about the collapse of systems - zombie stories are at their best when the catastrophe works as this great equaliser where instead of established systems and instruments of power, other abilities and talents become important and life-saving and giving underdogs a time to shine. This is btw one of the main-reasons why the Final Girl in horror movies exists - think of Ripley in Alien, the point is that her resourcefulness and her self-discipline (like reminding the rest of the crew to abide by protocol) help her survive. This also plays a major role in All Of Us Are Dead - they are students, they are kids. That's the point. They make he best of their surroundings (like dangling the fire hose out of the window and climbing down) and bringing in their personal talents and knowledge - like the archery gang or building the makeshift toilet and other survival stuff. It really works well in that sense. So I actually feel like it's a bit of a let-down that this concept doesn't really reach the girls much, so far.

If you're a fan of zombie cinematic pieces, you should make time to watch this series!

As part of my quest to become a cinematic reviewer, hereby I present you my review for All of Us Are Dead, the newcomer at the zombie section of South Korean series on Netflix!

Trapped students must escape their high school which has become ground zero for a zombie virus outbreak. (Netflix 2022)

Fiuh... After a while, I finally finished this series!

Super excited to share my thoughts about this series, without further a do, let's get started!

Actually, I wasn't a fan of the genre, at least, not long ago. But I did watch the legendary Train to Busan (2016) starred by Gong Yoo and Ma Dong Seok (now goes by the name Don Lee in Hollywood). It's hard to not think of the iconic 2016 zombie movie when watching a South Korean cinematic piece about zombies. But, All of Us Are Dead is different from Train to Busan, although I can see a bit of references from the movie being shown in this series. This series also feels waaaaaay longer and tiring than Train to Busan.

If you have watched another zombie themed drama like Happiness (2021) starred by Han Hyo Joo and Park Hyung Sik, you'll notice that the fighting sequences are quite similar, the zombies are both running very fast and super scary, super smart and super strong (I think I use the word "super" too much here, haha!). This series has many characters with different agenda, and that's what's really great about this series, nothing is more heartbreaking and nerve-wracking than watching people fighting for their lives while keeping up with what they believe in (rescuing people they love while betting on their lives altogether).

What really hooked me to stay watching and finish the series is the opening scenes (the scenes before the intro in several episodes, not all episodes have this), and definitely the ending scenes from each episode. They always made me question what happens next and click the next episode button (even when it's already 2am and I'm going to work by 9am!).

The most memorable opening scene for me is from episode 1 when the first zombie transformation resurfaced. It's a scene where Lee Jin Su (Lee Min Goo) turned into the first zombie of the series. It was midnight, under the rain at the rooftop of a church (because there is a cross sign, emphasized) which made it the most terrifying -yet ironic- bullying scenes I have ever watched on screen! There are several bullying scenes at the early episodes too and some of them are very gruesome, kinda made me wonder if there are actually people who would do horrible things like these out there. People who are capable to do these terrible things are super creepy, super real too.

The ending scene that made me go "WTF!" is from episode 2, when the students used a hose to climb onto broadcast room, and Lee Cheong San (Yoon Chan Young) seemed to fell off the building with some zombies. Part of me believed that he was literally dead, but part of me thought it is impossible since he is one of the main characters. Main characters rarely die in the early episodes (at that moment, I honestly wished nobody had died). Thank God, the series shed a light at the 3rd episode that Cheong San was alive! Even Su Hyeok (Park Solomon), who was left behind and separated from the group in episode 2, was alive too.

The rest of the episodes felt repetitive for me, running away-trapped in a room-running away again-trapped again-running away for another time-trapped for the last time (maybe I was already tired of watching haha). But what's really good about this series is the dynamic between the students in the group, when you're that afraid and tired and hungry, it's hard to think straight. One of the best scenes to potray the emotions is when Lee Na Yeon (Lee You Mi) killed Han Gyeong Soo (Ham Sung Min) in episode 3 and then she was kicked out by other students by the end of it. There is also a scene where Yoon Gwi Nam (Yoo In Soo) killed the headmaster and Cheong San saw it in episode 5, which I think is a brilliant scene to describe how hideous Gwi Nam was as a human-being, thus made it a great foundation to make him one of the very few people who were not turning into zombie (are not biologically dead but are infected by the virus) because he had an incredible will to survive (the biology professor and the creator of this virus, Lee Byeong Chan (Kim Byung Chul) said that this virus is all about survival and willingness to survive). I gotta say that Gwi Nam's pursuit to kill Cheong San was brutal and deserved to be the highlight of this series.

It was a bit hard for me to predict which character will die and become zombie, everyone had their own spotlight and moment and I felt like everyone was the main character of their stories. Watching this, I was sympathetic to the pitiful characters like Min Eun Ji (Oh Hye Soo) and Kim Cheol Soo (Ahn Ji Ho) (the students who were bullied and trapped at the school rooftop when the outbreak started). I also sobbed when Nam So Ju (Jeon Bae Su), our most favorite appa of all time, died in episode 11, it's painful seeing so many people sacrificed their lives for the ones they truly loved (Cheong San was dead at last, as a hero, too).

However, the series did not forget to put a bit of comedy during Detective Song Jae Il (Lee Kyu Hyung) and Officer Jeon Ho Cheol (Park Jae Chul)'s trip to downtown Hyosan. Rather, a heartbreaking comedy, to be honest. At least, I could laugh a little while watching this saddening series.

One thing that I was questioning during the whole episodes was "Would Nam On Jo (Park Ji Hu) turn into a zombie? She was scratched by Kim Hyeon Ju (Jung Yi Seo) in the first episode, wasn't she?" Is it possible that On Jo was immuned to the virus, like Han Hyo Joo's character in Happiness? Or, did the virus only spread through bite?

Overall, All of Us Are Dead is a series with a genius motive, an ordinary professor going mad from seeing his son suffered, decided to create a virus to make his son unbeatable, which turned unexpectedly ugly. The series format gave the writers opportunities to explain many details about the virus (unlike #Alive which was too hard to peel because it was less than 2 hours), and the fans many theories to conspire (you should see how much hype this series gets on Twitter!)

Additionally, the plot is moving very slowly, it successfully made me felt as if I were part of the surviving group, thus everytime a zombie appeared I felt like running too (while I am on my bed, of course). Can't remember how many times I shouted "fast! don't die!" during the 12 episodes :)

There are more to this series which I can't write down, standing ovation to the great writing and casting! I can see some familiar faces like Kim Byung Chul (he played a prominent antagonist role in Guardian with Gong Yoo and Kim Go Eun), Jeon Bae Su (he was an appa in Mr. Queen and Fight for My Way, too!), Lee Kyu Hyung and Bae Hae Sun (both fought zombies in Happiness, then turned into zombies by the end of the series), Kim Jong Tae (had a role in Sisyphus with Park Shin Hye and The King: Eternal Monarch with Lee Min Ho), and super talented young actors and actresses which are gonna be the face of South Korean dramas!

Ending

Only half of the students from both surviving groups were left. They finally reached the quarantine camp and continued living their lives without their loved ones.

Personal Ratings

It's the complicated plot-lines and dynamic characters that made this series very worth to watch. I'm giving this series 8.5 out of 10.

Plot-Wise: UNPREDICTABLE! Multiple conflicts, different agendas.

Visual: GREAT ZOMBIE ACTING, super natural! The injuries are explicit and dreadful and disgusting. I especially love a particular scene when a thunderstorm stroke and all the zombies were going crazy from the sound. Though, the VFX for ensemble zombies are kinda rough.

Music: I hardly notice the music, but it doesn't lessen the tension I got while watching this series.

Would I recommend this series?

If you are a fan of zombie themed series/movies, this series is a must watch, but if you're easily disgusted and disturbed, you might need to prepare yourself.
