JASON'S CONVOLUTED F1!OC GRID YIPPEE!!

I kinda don't… like. real person fiction due to the way it crosses… so many boundaries, so I've created an entire ass universe of characters just so I could write people going vroom vroom in fast cars without feeling personally icky about it.

Technical information and teams are based on 2024 season; may update these to reflect future seasons (unsure).

Is any of this historically or technically accurate?

Yes and no.

Autism be damned, I will not be researching the entire history of F1 and rewriting it.

I am doing the bare minimum and expanding on a case-by-case basis. Any background names are kept vague as possible, with prior team members being generated/background characters with little to no development outside of their standings with the teams (though I may flesh these characters out eventually, knowing how I usually end up doing things-)

Names generated using Fantasy Name Generators and based on relative population demographic information for the teams' home country. Conceptual portraits made using Wervty's Chime Picrew.

I also know some people look similar... the Picrew only has so many options, and I kept smaller things such as expression and pose identical for ease of creation. Eventually I will make these characters in Sims and flesh them out more individually... but man I don't feel like clearing my PC out right now.

"A power trip and desire for control yes." The old woman nodded, she understood that part at least. madmen on power trips were about 90% of her cases, not that she could tell Jin that. At least not yet at any rate. It'd defeat the secret part of her agency's whole thing. Then her expression brightened, if only for a moment.

"Good, live. Be happy. He above knows well that you deserve it after everything and I see. That makes things..a bit easier on my mind." Despite herself, she didn't want Jin to hear the obscenities and pent up rage that was going to be unleashed upon his..well.. How would she describe what those two are? His parasite? Yes that would work. She braced herself and waited for Abaddon to awaken. She had foolishly assumed it'd be similar to when Ayame was a system. That'd one would wake and the other went to sleep. How..wrong she was..

Few things ever left her shocked, let alone disturbed. Safiya had seen the worst humanity had to offer on a regular basis as an agent. When the world was on the brink of chaos or destruction it was she that would be sent to stop it. Her agency's most notorious enemy kept returning form the dead even...

..Yet seeing the transformation from the kindly, alive Jin to, Abaddon disturbed Safiya more then any plot Wild Dog and his employers concoct. To witness the young man die for the demon to rise sent a shiver down her spine. Onyx eyes met those supernatural golden hues. The old woman steeled herself, before speaking. All that kindness, the warmth and politeness that she had displayed just moments before had vanished. Leaving a harsh, ugly grief in their wake.

"Yes I do. Let's begin with getting the obvious out of the way. I despise you, foul demon. You are nowhere near good enough for my son, let alone worthy of his love, and the only reason I even tolerate your continued existence is because I do not wish to hurt the boy you're attached to." Safiya's contempt for the devil wasn't even hidden. Respecting him at least enough to not bother with any pretense.

"As for why I hate you so. Tell me, when you were in control of the Mishima Zaibatsu and it's miltia. Do you have..memories of ordering attacks throughout Hiroo in Shibuya? I do. Specifically of a quiet residential area. Yuki at the time lived in Shinjuku. Ayame and Aikko were safe in Italy. It was just me. I had just left to get groceries as Ayame had booked time off from her training.." Safiya's gaze grew distant. for a moment locked in the memories. "..When I had tired to return..the roads were blocked..people were screaming. Were once was the neighborhood and home I had lived in from the time I was 24..was now in ruins."

❝ Maybe it's a power trip. ❞ Jin knew all about people who yearned for nothing more in life than power. Perhaps, it's most understandable that somebody would want to control another person in order to feel powerful.

It still felt odd, whenever someone showed sympathy toward him. For so long, Jin had blamed himself for the war. Though it was not an idea conceived by him, nor would he had ever committed such atrocities, he felt responsible for Abaddon. Had he not been so weak, Abaddon would've never taken over.

But he's trying to get over that now, to not be so negative, to no longer wallow in his own self - hatred. He would be happy.

A tiny sigh departed his lips. ❝ I thought he had ruined my life. I was ready to die for his mistakes, too. Many people may still hate me, but I'll try to live in spite of his actions. ❞

Jin set his teacup down, pushing it far away from himself. ❝ I likely won't be able to hear anything you say to him. When he's in control, I usually have no perception of the outside world. ❞

He paused. Not because he was trying to contact Abaddon, but because he was taking a moment to fully process Safiya's words of kindness. ❝ . . . but thanks, it means a lot. I'll . . . let him take over now. ❞

Another pause. This time longer. This time he was talking to Abaddon. Then his body threatened to fall over, almost hitting the table before he swung himself back, going completely limp against his seat. After a moment, he perked right back up.

All the color in his complexion drained, leaving only a sickly, ashen hue behind. Horns sprout out of his skull, black markings ink his face. Large black wings spread out, & then, his eyes open — dark browns replaced with illuminating gold.

Abaddon raised his arms — instead of soft hands, sharp talons rest on the table.

❝ You wanted to talk ? ❞ He asked, his voice much deeper than the previous man's.

Worlds 2019 - 6 minutes warm-up before group 4 in Men's FS by J SPORTS

 Announcer: Chizuru Kobayashi. She is a freelancer who has been working for figure skating programs on J SPORTS for years.

Commentator: Makoto Okazaki. ISU Technical Specialist and a coach. He won a bronze medal at 2001 Winter Universiade as a singles skater and has been contributing figure skating columns titled "岡崎真の目 (Eyes of Makoto Okazaki)" to Sponichi.

Kobayashi: Here comes the group 4, the final group. The arena is filled with loud cheers. First, they introduce each skater. Vincent Zhou of America, who finished 4th in the short program. Kobayashi: Yes, finally. Our commentator today is Mr. Makoto Okazaki.

PA announcer: We are now introducing the skaters for group 4 in the order of skating. Skater No. 19, Mr. Vincent Zhou of America. After moving up to the senior level last season, he survived the fierce domestic competition and proceeded to PyeongChang Olympics. At PyeongChang, he fought bravely and finished 6th in total earning the second-best technical score in the free skating. This season, he finished 3rd in 4CC and won his first senior ISU championships medal.

Kobayashi: OK, we are going to introduce the skaters one by one. This is Vincent Zhou of America who finished 4th in the short program. He has many types of quads in his repertoire.

Okazaki: Yes, but this time, he is planning to do only 3 types of them, doing each of them once.

Kobayashi: Yes.

Okazaki: I guess his plan is to do what he can do and to do it properly. You know, his jumps often get called under-rotated, so he is going to stick to what he can do cleanly, I guess.

Kobayashi: Uh-huh.

Okazaki: His quad Salchow looks good today.

Kobayashi: Yes.

PA announcer:  Skater No. 20, Mr. Shoma Uno of Japan. The silver medalist from PyeongChang Olympics. This season, he won at GP Canada and NHK Trophy and won a silver medal in GPF. At Japanese Nationals, he achieved a three-peat, and at 4CC, he came back from 4th after the short program and won the long-desired title of a major senior competition.

Kobayashi: Next up is Shoma Uno of Japan. He is planning to do three quads of four different... no, he is planning to do 4 quads.

Okazaki: Yes, he is going to do four quads of three types. I hope he will nail the quad Flip since he fell on it in the short program.

(Loud cheers in the arena)

Kobayashi: When you hear this kind of cheers, it means that someone has landed a good jump somewhere.

Okazaki: (Laughs) Right.

PA announcer: Skater No. 21, Mr. Matteo Rizzo of Italy. This season, he stood up on a GP podium at NHK Trophy as a first Italian men's singles skater and won a bronze medal at European Championships as well. At Universiade held recently, he won the title with his high-quality performances.

Kobayashi: Now, this is Matteo Rizzo of Italy. He is planning to do one type of quad once in the program as a solo jump. He finished 5th in the short with a clean program.

Okazaki: I figure that he is aiming to nail the quad securely and execute other elements cleanly.

Kobayashi: Uh-huh. He is the champion of Winter Universiade.

PA announcer: Skater No. 22, Mr. Yuzuru Hanyu of Japan. He won the Olympic titles consecutively in Sochi and PyeongChang. He also won the Worlds titles in 2014, here in Saitama, and in 2017. This season, he won gold medals in 2 GPs. After that, he got forced to sit out due to injury but has made a comeback here in this World Championships.

Kobayashi: And now, this is Yuzuru Hanyu of Japan.

Okazaki: Oh, a quad loop. Very nice.

Kobayashi: Yes, it was! Mr. Okazaki, how do you think about his jump layout?

PA announcer: Skater No. 23, Mr. Nathan Chen of America. He is the defending World Champion. At PyeongChang, he skated strongly in the free skating and finished 5th. This season, he entered the prestigious Yale University and won two-consecutive GPF titles trying to balancing study and training.

Kobayashi: And now, this is the defending champion, Nathan Chen. He is the only one who scored over 100 points in the short program. His score was 107.40.

Okazaki: He is also planning to do four quads of three types.

Kobayashi: Right, including Lutz and Flip.

PA announcer: Skater No. 24, Mr. Jason Brown of America. He is loved by the audience for his prowess to express the music delicately and for his cheerfulness. This season, he moved to Canada and has been training under coach Brian Orser. After winning a silver medal at GP France, he came back on the podium at U.S. Nationals for the first time in two years.

Kobayashi: There is 10.59 points difference between Nathan Chen and Jason Brown who was 2nd in the short program. The third-place finisher Yuzuru Hanyu is 12.53 points away from Nathan. Here is the last skater, Jason Brown. He is going to do only one quad.

Okazaki: Yes. Hope he will go for it.

Kobayashi: I hope so, too. Until last season, he has been incorporating a quad toe-loop, but this season, he has been tackling with quad Salchow. He has not landed it successfully yet, right?

Okazaki: Hmmm, I think so.

hii~ so i got tagged by @snugglemejeon thank you so much ! i think this is really cute hehe (to the people i tagged: i’m sorry if i tagged you and we haven’t talked that much... i don’t know that many people on tumblr... and also, you don’t have to do this challenge, so feel free to ignore it !)

(1) how tall are you? 

i haven’t checked in a bit but i’m about 5′2″ (ish) so that’s around 158cm (*sighs* yeah i know... i’m pretty short) 

(2) what color and style is your hair?

i actually got a haircut yesterday before my blackpink concert hehe so now my hair is layered and it goes a little past my shoulders. i didn’t start growing out my hair until late last year since i used to always cut it short (like, a little above my shoulders) so yeah... i used to dye my hair a longgg longggg time ago but now it’s its original color which is dark brown 

(3) what color are your eyes? 

a solid brown (not totally light, but not too dark) (my mom has really pretty light brown eyes but they didn’t get passed down to me so ahhaha *cries*) 

(4) do you wear glasses? 

yes, but no (?) i have glasses but i don’t wear them 24/7 since my eyesight isn’t that bad... i only wear them in class when i’m too far away from the board. i have kinda circular, brown glasses (lmao, i know no one asked but...) 

(5) do you wear braces?

i used to wear braces a couple of years ago so now i just wear my retainers once a week (you’re supposed to wear them every night but whatever,,, i’m pretty lazy and irresponsible and my teeth haven’t shifted sooo once a week will do ahah) 

(6) what’s your fashion sense? 

i care about how i dress but i don’t worry about how i look all the time soooo... i’ll sum up my style in a few words: 26 year old single korean girl walking to an aesthetic cafe on a sunday afternoon. yeah. that’s basically my style. lol i hope you guys understand what i mean... if not, i’m terribly sorry

only a few people on tumblr know my name... but i don’t want to reveal it here since i know everyone can see this, and tumblr is the only social media platform where my identity is hidden sooo...

july 2001; i’m 17 ;) 

(9) where are you from and where do you live now? 

i was born and currently live in los angeles, california however, i am 100% korean. both of my parents were born and raised in south korea. and yes, i am fluent in korean. 

(10) what school do you go to? 

i am a highschooler. and that’s all i’m gonna say. skool sucks :P

(11) what kind of student are you?

i would like to say that i’m more of a hard worker than a naturally smart person, but i am currently getting straight As and for those of you who live in the us, i’m taking 5 APs (which totally sucks :’( but i’m handling them kinda well... i think). and i don’t really like being complimented because one of my biggest fears is of me becoming arrogant so let’s move on,,, pls.

hell no. but i have to deal with it since everyone does so :/// school isn’t that bad if you daydream and think about bts all day hehe. but in all seriousness, i think school is okay if you have the right friends to hang out with and talk to 

(13) favorite subject? 

history!!! i know this is really weird since not a lot of people like history, but i love ittt!!! i think it’s really fun since it’s kinda like one big story of our world (i’m sorry, i’m such a dork)... i took ap art history last year and i fell in love with it! 

(14) favorite tv shows? 

i used to watch kdramas a longgg time ago, but i kinda stopped but idk why... but my favorite tv shows are friends, the office, stranger things, jane the virgin, etc, etc... i can literally name so many tv shows that i’ve watched but then i’d go rambling on and on and on and i don’t want to bore anyone...

(15) favorite movie? 

forrest gump !!! (and also, did anyone see the two bts movies? i watched both of them at cgv and i literally exploded when i saw the members... okay, moving on (sorry... i get off topic really easily)) 

(16) favorite books? 

i read a book called “pachinko” by min jin lee over the summer and it was so! freaking! good!!! i highly recommend it everyone~ it’s a historical fiction novel about 3-4 generations of this korean family who lived in korea and then moved to japan. it takes place a little before the korean war and it talks about the discrimination that koreans faced in japan at the time. i recently went to the library to check it out since i wanted to read it again but they didn’t have an english copy of the book so i’m reading it in korean at the moment. 

(17) favorite pastime? 

rewatching and rewatching and rewatching bangtan. oh, and streaming their new album ;) oh, and stressing over the new test questions on the fan cafe that the staff upload every week (i need to level up but the test is so hard... i cry every time) 

and writing for this blog! i originally made this blog to de-stress and write some scenarios and reactions and i didn’t know that people would actually like them and respond to them,,, so hey, thank you :) you make me happy every day 

(18) do you have any regrets? 

yes. too many to count. but i’m not gonna sit here and list them all lol

(19) dream job?

i don’t really know... but something in corporate law (?)

(20) would you ever like to be married? 

yessss! have you seen my entire blog??? it’s an entire fluff kingdom!!! i mean, i know that marriage is not just one big fluff and i know that it’s tough, but i would still like to get married one day 

i have my own little fantasies about how married life would be, but that’s a little secret so i’ll save it for next time ;)

as much as i love kids, i’m not too sure if i would want any... i mean, obviously my answer will change in the future, but i kinda want either no kids or just one kid... the responsibility of being a parent kinda freaks me out...

(23) do you like shopping? 

no, i absolutely LOVE shopping. i think i’m addicted lmao.

ahhh finally... the question i’ve been waiting for... so if you get to know me, i really really really reallyyyyy love traveling and i’m so grateful for all the opportunities i’ve been given to travel at such a young age. 

so, let me just list all the places i’ve been to (an i know not all of these are countries, or out of the us, but just hear me out,,, okay?) : france, italy, south korea, mexico, us (hawaii, nevada, utah, etc (lol, i can’t remember all of them)) 

my favorite location out of all of these places is definitely italy <3 (italy has my heart)... i stayed at rome and i also visited pompeii and positano (which were absolutely stunning and beautiful). i went to rome last spring (around april/may) and i personally, really love sightseeing and history and since rome is full of those two things i reallyyy enjoyed it there. oh, and don’t even get me started with the food <3333 

i also really loved france... i stayed at paris and my favorite thing about paris was definitely the louvre museum (once again, i love art history) as well as this place called montmarte (ahh! it’s so pretty) 

and last but not least, (as much as i love love loveee south korea) i really enjoyed mexico! i love calming, relaxing vacation spots so i got to go to cancun (twice!) and snorkel and swim and see little fishies in the clear turquoise ocean... yeah, i miss it there... :(

Worlds 2019 Preview - Part Two: The Men

So, the men’s event is basically a three-horse race. The top three are Yuzuru Hanyu, Nathan Chen, and Shoma Uno. Provided nothing crazy, that should be your top three. Now, the big question is, what order will be in?

Nathan Chen demolished the field at US Nationals, but he received component scores that were too high. He has not received those scores in international competition and is unlikely to do so here. However, if he’s clean, his technical score will be through the roof, and he will get decent component scores. It makes him very tough competition. He is also the defending champion.

Shoma Uno has not been himself this season, but his World Record free skate at Four Continents was outstanding. With his first career ISU Championship gold medal under his belt, you know he wants to keep going. With the 100+ short we know he’s capable of, and that free, he could push Hanyu and Chen. Is this his time?

People always seem to forget about Yuzuru Hanyu - until he’s actually there. I’ve said this before, and I’ll say it again - completely clean, he is unbeatable and in a class of his own. Yes, I believe Chen and Uno can come close, but I don’t think they can beat him if Hanyu is really on his game.

I saw a planned program content for him on Twitter (linked from the ISU, but I can’t see it from there) that says that he’s planning on keeping the Quad Toe-Triple Axel-SEQ combo and that he’s putting in the Quad Loop as his opening jump. It remains to be seen if he changes his mind, but.... keep that in mind. This is also his first competition in Japan in years.

Now, there are other skaters who can come up and push these top skaters. Mikhail Kolyada is the reigning World Bronze medalist, but he’s not been on his game this season. If he can skate the way he did at Worlds last year, it’s not out of the question. He was also leading Europeans, and if he can get his free skate under control, he can score very high.

The one to watch from Russia is Alexander Samarin. I’m not overly impressed by him personally, but he’s the reigning European Silver Medalist and scored a medal on the GP this season. He’s been solid all season long. This will be his Worlds debut, and he could make a big splash if he can skate cleanly again.

Boyang Jin of China looked to be back at Four Continents, but not quite at his old form. If he can reclaim the way he was at Four Continents and Olympics last year, he’s up there with the best. 

Other skaters to watch - Michal Brezina of the Czech Republic, the other two Americans Vincent Zhou (Four Continents Bronze Medalist) and Jason Brown, Europeans Bronze Medallist Matteo Rizzo of Italy, and Grand Prix Final Bronze Medalist Junhwan Cha of South Korea. While none are necessarily podium contenders, they are easily in the top ten and could make some noise here. 

Also, Keiji Tanaka of Japan skated the best he's skated in a long time in Anaheim. A top ten finish is not out of the question here if he can replicate that. There’s also Daniel Samohin and Alexei Bychenko of Israel (who has not been his best this season), Dennis Vasilijevs of Latvia, Brendan Kerry of Australia Morisi Kvietalishvilli of Georgia, Keegan Messing and Nam Nguyen of Canada... The fight for the top ten will be intense.

Also, this is reported to be the last competition for Alexander Majorov of Sweden.

There are 35 men in total, but as only 24 make it to the free skate, the fight for those simply seeking to get into the free will be intense.
