could i request a webweave on the struggles of being the younger child?
(for example - being treated like a baby, older siblings acting like theyre the only ones who have problems, bullying by older siblings not being taken seriously, not feeling like your achievements matter as much, because your older siblings did it first, feeling lonely/ignored, annoying stereotypes about younger siblings on media etc.)

Marvel nerds: is the Jessica Jones "crime novel" by Lisa Jewell any good?
I used to read Marvel novelizations. I met Black Widow for the first time in a Wolverine book (because I was more of an X-Men girlie as a kid).
But I was let down by the Black Widow novels and haven't gotten one since.
I see from the synopsis that she is "on-again, off-again" with Luke Cage (boo) so that means no Danielle. I'd read anything with Danielle. But how much Luke Cage are we talking?
ETA: no wait, I lie. I read the Gamora and Nebula book. Because sisters are important.

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
genres : mostly mystery, thrillers, recently romance too (I've only read really basic romance ones tho-)
favourite book : then she was gone (omfg read it, its soo good) its mostly thriller/mystery, but I assure you, you will not be bored at any page, its AMAZING. (by lisa jewell <33) + if u like this, try the family upstairs (series)
other favs - the secret history. aggtm (yes, now overrated but that doesn't mean it isn't the most perfect series ever). reappearance of rachel price. library of borrowed hearts. the selection.
romance, i haven't read a lot, so basically only the very popular ones, but I did like beach read, better than the movies (so cute), things we never got over (enemies to lovers). + most emily henry books <3 + AND SHATTER ME. ISTG I CAN TALK FOR HOURS
ty for reading! have a great day/night <3

I should be allowed to call into work with no repercussions if I'm reading, say, a really good murder mystery and have to stay up late to finish it

I’ve read 5 books since Derrick was born 6 weeks ago, and this most recent book was the first one that I really enjoyed quite a lot. If you’re into true crime at all, I recommend reading None of This is True by Lisa Jewell. It was a twisty read that sorta reminded me of that show on Netflix, Dead to Me. It was a fun read and kept me engaged even at all crazy hours of the night when I’m up with the baby, which I feel like is saying something.
I had my 6-week postpartum check up appointment yesterday and I brought my tiny friend along for the trip. He was a big hit of course. I’m glad to say I’ve healed up completely so I can start getting back to normal life, little by little.
Today we’re doing a morning together as a family - we need to go pick up groceries and hopefully some mums. Then we’ll prep some food for B to take on a weekend away with his business partners. He’ll be gone from tonight through Sunday, so it’ll be me and the boys for the weekend along with help from MIL. I can’t say I was thrilled that after spending so much time away working on the apartment building recently, B and his friends/business partners are also now doing a weekend getaway to an airbnb on the lake, but it’s fine. He works hard. It’s good to relax, too. When do moms get to relax? That’s yet to be seen. 😆
We’ll aim to go to a harvest fest tomorrow.. I don’t wanna miss out on all the fun fall festivals just because we’ve got a tiny tot in tow. I’m happy to try and strap him into the baby carrier and do our thing. Can’t wait to do apple picking, too.
Happy fall Friday, friends. Enjoy that cool weather.
