Food and Fellowship
DISCLAIMER: This post is not for everyone. I hope it is, but that would make me delusional. My intention is always to provoke thoughts and laughter. If it turns you on, well, that’s unintended, but you’re welcome. How was your day? I am tired of riding the TTC with homeless people who smell like pee and are unpredictable because they are mental. And every time before I sit down I stare at the…

Eddie posts a TikTok that was filmed in almost complete darkness late at night. You can just barely make out the angles of his face in the moonlight when he’s like, “Run that question back by me, Stevie.”
Steve: Do you think our pets have low self-esteem?
Eddie: Right, that’s the question.
Eddie: And the answer is no. They got high self-esteem like their dad.
Steve: But I’m insecure!
Eddie: I was talking about me.
Eddie: I preform on stage and am married to one of the hottest guys I know.
Steve:
Steve: Who’s the other hot guy you know?
Eddie: You, ten years ago.
Steve:
Steve, heavy consideration: That’s a good answer.

Jesus is my older brother, not my dad.
other christians don't seem to feel the same?
am i missing something where he insists on such a thing except perhaps with actual little children?
#christianity#tumblrstake#Quakers#i just want to know what y'all think#progressive christianity#some christians see themselves as his children#but again most chrsitians are sippin trinity juice so the Father is the Son? egro Jesus can be Dad#i guess i'm not a true monotheist bc if Jesus is a child of God and told his disciples to call him friend. he is my peer#Jesus is my peer - big brother - mentor - friend#God the creator is my Mother/Father/Parent(s) as well as Jesus'#Jesus and I are both children of God and Jesus is my teacher/my respected older brother/ my friend#i think the Holy Spirit is what generally moves around among humans and through humans. experiencing God through others.#also an internal prompting on what direction to take (which typically needs to undergo through discernment) but is sometimes an act rn thing#hence the gift of the Holy Spirit being gifted to us#but now i'm getting theological in the tags#did i mention that all of this is through my christian lense and a muslim could have a different perception and be just as valid#and thats on different ways people see the Divine and how the Divine presents Godself/selves to different people#i know this because Heavenly Mother was at my conversion experience. she offered an invitation - an embrace#and i took it immediately a wept#and i think that presentation was intentional bc i may not have/wouldn't have reacted the same way to Heavenly Father#our relationship is good now - Heavenly Father and I -currently on the rocks in my “ God#in my “God - why?” era. shit has been dark. and people are commiting atrocites in your name#i do pray for their smitting. but only in a way God with Hir cosmic justice sees fit#and for softened hearts more often but on one occassion it was “plz get these sinners in line” and pulling out psalm 94#Godposting#religion

reading xie lian’s POV is actually hilarious once you realise xie lian isn’t oblivious at all, he basically guesses most things immediately, he’s just taken the veteran autism tactic of “it’s too much effort to figure out when it’s appropriate to mention that i know something, so i’ll just pretend i don’t know until someone says it aloud”. sometimes it turns into a bit. the truth might be embarrassingly obvious, but social cues are hard, and xie lian has infinite time to wait for the other person to blink first.

Black Kier is an innie-brand incentive. Do you understand? Lumen gives innies little tastes of power and ownership in order to reward them for good work. They have done the same for Natalie and Milchick, giving them a “re-canonicalized” version of Kier because that is what Lumen thinks will make them feel connected to the founder. “This is what power looks like. Hold it, cherish it. Power does not look like you, but if you please us then we can pretend it does. If you are good, you will almost be as good as us.”

Esther 6:1-11 (NIV). [1] “That night the king could not sleep; so he ordered the book of the chronicles, the record of his reign, to be brought in and read to him. [2] It was found recorded there that Mordecai had exposed Bigthana and Teresh, two of the king’s officers who guarded the doorway, who had conspired to assassinate King Xerxes. [3] “What honor and recognition has Mordecai received for this?” the king asked. “Nothing has been done for him,” his attendants answered. [4] The king said, “Who is in the court?” Now Haman had just entered the outer court of the palace to speak to the king about impaling Mordecai on the pole he had set up for him. [5] His attendants answered, “Haman is standing in the court.” “Bring him in,” the king ordered. [6] When Haman entered, the king asked him, “What should be done for the man the king delights to honor?” Now Haman thought to himself, “Who is there that the king would rather honor than me?” [7] So he answered the king, “For the man the king delights to honor, [8] have them bring a royal robe the king has worn and a horse the king has ridden, one with a royal crest placed on its head. [9] Then let the robe and horse be entrusted to one of the king’s most noble princes. Let them robe the man the king delights to honor, and lead him on the horse through the city streets, proclaiming before him, ‘This is what is done for the man the king delights to honor!’ ” [10] “Go at once,” the king commanded Haman. “Get the robe and the horse and do just as you have suggested for Mordecai the Jew, who sits at the king’s gate. Do not neglect anything you have recommended.” [11] So Haman got the robe and the horse. He robed Mordecai, and led him on horseback through the city streets, proclaiming before him, “This is what is done for the man the king delights to honor!”
“Listening Through Restlessness” By In Touch Ministries:
“Sometimes a sleepless night is a sign that God has something to say.”
“When we’re too preoccupied to hear God’s voice, He may get our attention by giving us a restless spirit. The book of Esther gives us a wonderful example of this. In the sixth chapter, we see that King Ahasuerus “could not sleep, so he gave an order to bring the book of records” (Est. 6:1). As a result, the king became aware of an assassination plot against him that had been foiled by a man named Mordecai. The ruler made plans to honor him.
What the king didn’t know, however, was that Haman—one of his royal advisors—had targeted the hero Ahasuerus wanted to celebrate. Not only had Haman plotted to hang Mordecai (Esther 5:14), but, as this month’s Bible study explains, he’d also planned to kill all the Jews. Because of Esther’s request (Esther 7:2-4), the king intervened, saving not just Mordecai but the entire Jewish population.
Now, what started this process? It was a restless night. The king did not know why he couldn’t sleep, but we know—he had insomnia because God was trying to get his attention. The Lord had something important to say to Ahasuerus, and His way of getting through to him was an unpleasant night of sleeplessness.
How often has this happened to you? In such moments, ask the Lord, “What is it that You want to tell me?” You’ll discover that God can and will speak to you.”

i want to say first of all that i fully respect a community's/denomination's/culture's right to have closed practices. i am not entitled to other people's traditions, and when i am a guest in a space i understand that everything is not automatically for me. and i know i do not have to understand to respect.
and also! when i go to a catholic church and can't receive communion i want to fall on the floor weeping. what do you mean i can't have him he's right there. sorry my baptism was the wrong kind of baptism. i'm hungry and you want me to become someone else before being fed.
