It appears tumblr is my ‘go to’ place for posting things atm, so I figured I’d drop Jesse. 

Some fun or not facts about it and our Control fun booth:

1. The jacket is actually my Clary Fray jacket which I never got to use for Clary. The booth team needed a Jesse and I was like, wait a minute, I just happen to have the jacket and maybe it’s high time I check out the game! The jacket ended up only lasting for those two convention days (barely) before faux leather literally fell off... Been looking for a new one since July. :( And this is literally the only cosplay I’ve done without a wig in years, it was just... way easier to dye my hair. no complaints here, I love being a redhead, NEVER going back to Rey’s color

2. The booth team actually did some pretty neat quests for visitors like collecting the mold (cotton wool) or talking to plants. There was also some singing in Finnish involved if I remember correctly... I was mainly on the other side of the booth from our Ahti so sadly the plants talking and singing happened mostly without me. 

3. OOOOH also we had the hotline!!! You had to use the switch three times (the lighting in the hotline booth would change each time juuuust like the game) and then the hotline rang. My favorite thing to do was to bring legit everyone I know to the booth and tell them to pull the switch. What the team did was just too cool for me I only had a hand in decorating the table, I’m no electrician, I needed everyone to see that, and only a few quest undergoers got to the hotline bit. :( Almost everyone’s reaction was, ‘Will it shock me?’ because I guess that’s what one would expect, right?.. And then of course they’d have to listen to the Board speaking jibberish on the phone. My favorite reaction was one person yelling, ‘F*cking realtors, don’t call here ever again!’ in reply. 

There are some more fun facts about this Control booth, if anyone’s interested, I’d be more than happy to share more.

yeah, because they dont have a space player in the QB session it is technically unwinnable, so jack would have to scratch the session. the post-scratch session is control characters bc Why Not tbh, i think it makes sense. polaris is like a first guardian in this au (so she's like the becquerel to jesse's jade, if you catch my drift, including eventually prototyping herself, then self-prototyping with jesse's dreamself so that when jesse godtiers, polaris becomes a part of her. i just love that concept so much lol)

anyway back to the qb characters tho!! in this au, they all know each other cuz they play d&d together online. will is their dm. will and jack dont live together anymore (will went to study abroad and is staying with his & jack's grandfather, who is a scientist) hence why they play online. this is how they end up playing sburb together.

jack is the first to enter the game, followed by paul, then beth, then will last (he does NOT like jack being his server player, lol).

as far as who reaches godtier first... i have thought about this a lot actually and i think paul, being a seer of light, is the first to figure out how to godtier, but is not the first to do it because he is afraid to die. in the end, jack probably makes it to godtier first, entirely by accident (he probably does something stupid and gets horrendously injured, and someone-- maybe paul?-- carries him to his quest bed). after jack has reached godtier, paul asks his help with it, and gets jack to kill him >:3c because of course jack is the only one he would trust to do that >>>;3c

asdhjklhgfdsdfghjk ANYWAY. i am... probably not going to write this au anytime soon, as i have several other WIPs on my plate right now, but i like rotating it in my mind like a rotisserie chicken sometimes regardless. you know how it is.

As a big lad who shaves his head, with a cute girlfriend with lots of red hair, this sounds like quite a good couples cosplay to do.

Of course, buying matching grey tracksuits without logos on them will be the big adventure.

Hi Everyone! This is a new blog for me- I've been on Tumblr many times before but I wanted a fresh start. I've been obsessed with remedy games for a while now, and I'm planning a Jesse faden Cosplay for Next years Comic-Con! (Hopefully it will happen) with Control being released on steam, I believe this will give the game the exposure it deserved originally, and we see some More people in the Fandom

For now I wish to run you through my Cosplan For Jesse Faden--And my Boyfriend Who will be Alan Wake.

Jesse Fayden- Planning:

I decided to go with my Favourite Outfit of Jesse's in the game.

The golden suit.

I had a few outfits to choose from but Most of them Would have been too difficult for me (I am A Begginer Cosplayer) and The reason why I prefer the golden suit over the director suit is well...

The puzzle associated with it is super fun

The hair! In the directors outfit her hair is pinned back and I don't particularly enjoy seeing my forehead.

The Suit

It was difficult for me to think that someplace would just be selling trousers and suit jackets of that colour. Then I remembered all the neon and Wierdly coloured stuff in my wardrobe and I remember that it kinda makes sense.

I was particularly drawn to my Gren Bell bottom pants. I used them to Cosplay Noriaki Kakyoin from Jojo's Bizzare adventure. I Looked on the store where I brought them and behond- they had trousers in the same mustard Yellow that I need for Jesse.

For the suit jacket it was a quick Amazon search for something close enough. I will use my sowing machine and some fabric to alter the Suit so that it matches the one from the game.

The Grey Undershirt was a little trickyer. I haven't been able to find a top that matches totally, so I will have to improvise with some sowing, much like i had to improvise with the suit top.

For the Shoes, I already have a pair of black chunky heels that will work. Jesse's seem to be a little more navy than black, but who will be looking at my feet?

The Pin

Oh god the pin. Where do I start? In the game, Jesse wears a silvery grey FBC pin on the left side of her chest.

I found an amazing reddit post by u/Riva3000 about them making a small set of FBC pins To sell. They looked extremely high quality and Something that would have been perfect for me. Unfortunately, the post was made in January and the pins have been sold out ever since.

This is something I will need to get back to, as I really want a pin similar to it. I might have to look for some pin makers on Etsy.

So- that's it so far! Just plans. Plans plans plans. Hopefully by around October time I'll have everything so that My Boyfriend and I Can Cosplay As Jesse Faden And Alan Wake For Halloween.

So since the previous Control post is doing surprisingly well & someone mentioned the Flamingo in the tags, here are some more pics with altered items aka my best of friends for the con: Pink Flamingo and Rubber Duck!

Post is guest starring my actual friends darklydreaming as Connor from DBH yay for crossovers and AndraSkela who’s actually the reason I was Jesse in the first place.

I don’t remember if Flamingo was part of our quests... It probably was? :D But the visitors did have to look for the ever elusive Duck! Ya know. The struggle to catch that one irritating quacking piece of work. 🦆

I was constantly borrowing one or the other, the Duck just because, and the Flamingo ‘cause it’s way easier to pose for photos when you have something or someone to pose with.

Today it’s a bit of a mash-up of a ton of different strong female lead characters that I adore. It started out as just a Control entry but my colour printer is out of colour ink so I couldn’t print everything that I wanted to. So instead here’s a tribute to Jesse Faden, Nancy Botwin, Carrie Mathison, Hanna, Camina Drummer, Alex Chen, Steph Gingrich, and Miriam Maisel. I know Susie Myerson is here too but while I think she’s very funny on-screen, I don’t necessarily love her the same way I love some of these other characters. Anyway! I originally took these screenshots of Jesse as a reference to see about maybe making a cosplay of her in this, the Synchronicity outfit. It doesn’t look super complicated and I think I can maybe get a lot of the pieces 3D printed at the library, so that’s exciting.

No Inktober today because I've been very busy, seeing my truly wonderful friend @allisonargentsarrows for the first time in NINE YEARS, and then cosplaying as Jesse Faden from Control at EGX in London this afternoon. I am EXHAUSTED. But it was so good!! (Photo taken by said lovely friend :) )
