German family decorates home with 605 Christmas trees, sets world record | ABS-CBN News

The Jeromin family set the world record for the largest number of decorated Christmas trees in one place with 605 trees.

This is insane-  Thomas and Susanne Jeromin and their family have 444 Xmas trees in their home in Germany. 

The couple holds the German World Record and have amped things up this year, adding 24 new trees to last year’s 420. 

I would imagine that they’re controlled by computer? I mean, who’s gonna run around plugging them all in?

“The key is the most decorated Christmas trees in one place and the Jeromin family really is world leader here,” says Olaf Kuchenbecker, there to count the trees and award the 2021 record.

Trees line the halls.

They have to look the same as if you just had one in your living room, so with candles, or light garlands with baubles etc. as you imagine a typical Christmas tree.

No two trees are the same, with a huge variety of festive colors and themes: Storm Troopers, superheroes, smiley faces, fruits, and much more.

More than 10,000 Christmas balls and 300 strings of fairy lights are used in the display.

The couple, who lovingly decorate each tree by hand, starts putting up the trees months before Christmas in order to have it up by the first Advent Sunday (the first Sunday of December) in Germany.

They don’t only put up trees- there are so many other displays, too. 

The Christmas trees are omnipresent in the flat. Even the bedroom is overflowing with them.

Look at them lined up in the bathroom.

Can you imagine doing this every year? I wonder where they store it all.

This looks like the master bedroom. I can’t even tell, the room is so full.

Then, down in the basement is a huge Christmas Village display. Maybe this stays up all year.
