Jeremiah Taken to Egypt
When Jeremiah had finished telling all the people all the words of the LORD their God—everything that the LORD had sent him to say— Azariah son of Hoshaiah, Johanan son of Kareah, and all the arrogant men said to Jeremiah, “You are lying! The LORD our God has not sent you to say, ‘You must not go to Egypt to reside there.’ Rather, Baruch son of Neriah is inciting you against us to deliver us into the hands of the Chaldeans, so that they may put us to death or exile us to Babylon!”
So Johanan son of Kareah and all the commanders of the forces disobeyed the command of the LORD to stay in the land of Judah. Instead, Johanan son of Kareah and all the commanders of the forces took the whole remnant of Judah, those who had returned to the land of Judah from all the nations to which they had been scattered, the men, the women, the children, the king’s daughters, and everyone whom Nebuzaradan captain of the guard had allowed to remain with Gedaliah son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, as well as Jeremiah the prophet and Baruch son of Neriah.
So they entered the land of Egypt because they did not obey the voice of the LORD, and they went as far as Tahpanhes.
Then the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah at Tahpanhes: “In the sight of the Jews, pick up some large stones and bury them in the clay of the brick pavement at the entrance to Pharaoh’s palace at Tahpanhes.
Then tell them that this is what the LORD of Hosts, the God of Israel, says: ‘I will send for My servant Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and I will set his throne over these stones that I have embedded, and he will spread his royal pavilion over them. He will come and strike down the land of Egypt, bringing death to those destined for death, captivity to those destined for captivity, and the sword to those destined for the sword.
I will kindle a fire in the temples of the gods of Egypt, and Nebuchadnezzar will burn those temples and take their gods as captives. So he will wrap himself with the land of Egypt as a shepherd wraps himself in his garment, and he will depart from there unscathed. He will demolish the sacred pillars of the temple of the sun in the land of Egypt, and he will burn down the temples of the gods of Egypt.’ ” — Jeremiah 43 | The Reader's Bible (BRB) The Reader’s Bible © 2020 by Bible Hub and Berean Bible. So @prosphoramuncher asked me to write about why I say the make-up industry is demonic.
Gladly hehehe.
So this idea is rooted pretty firmly in the Book of the Revelation and so first thing to understand is I am an idealist: I do not believe it is just for the first century, or just for the last one; nor do I think the historicist perspective makes much sense either. But rather I believe the Book of Revelation is using symbols and archetypal language to talk about the spiritual meaning and significance of the rise and falls of powers in the world. It is about the ongoing cosmic conflict between God and the forces of darkness.
That said, there are some radical idealists (*agressively side eyes Brian*) that reduce the symbols to just being internal and about personal sin and whatnot. I do not hold to this and refer to this as "abstracting". It's taking "the Cup of God's Wrath" from Jeremiah and making it about hell when you die instead of about God allowing his people to be trampled by Babylon. That's dangerous, don't do that.
With all that out of the way, let's start talking about the beast.
There are 2 Beasts in the Revelation are the Beast from the Sea and the Beast from the Land.
The Beast from the Sea is a state or human kingdom that is in opposition to God and conquers through violence. So yes the Roman Empire. But also Greece and Persia and Babylon and Assyria and Egypt and etc etc etc. The British Empire, Germany, The United States, I mean just look for a military power in history or in modern times that has set itself in opposition to God and his will. Spoilers: it's just almost if not all of them.
The second one, the Beast from the Land, is an economic machine that exalts it's power as divine, looking like God but having the voice of the Adversary. It exists for the purpose of promoting the authority of the military state and for performing great signs. It is a liar and a deceiver that denies the kingship of the Anointed One (anti-Christ, "against the anointed one"). It demands that people worship the nation-state or be killed and ordains that all people must give their allegiance via their thoughts and actions.
Both are powered by the Dragon, who is the Serpent of Old (Genesis 3) who is called both "the Slanderer" and "the Adversary", who is the deceiver of the whole world but is defeated by the death of the Lamb.
So, I mean, do I even need to spell it out?
The make up industry, at least in modern times, is an industry that sustains itself through exploiting the insecurities of young women.
That's demonic. That is freaking demonic it is literally a servant of the Beast from the Land are you even kidding me!?
Now, I wish to make something quite clear: I am
Not saying that the people at the heads of make-up industries are worshiping with demons. I am not a charismatic for goodness' sake.
I am also not saying that by buying and wearing make-up that you are opening yourself to demons. Again: I am not a charismatic T-T. My little sister wears make up, not because she's insecure, but because she's a little kid who likes to play dress up all the time lol.
What I am saying is this: that we, as the Church, the Body and Bride of the Lamb, can NOT blindly support such industries without even thinking about it. Taking the Mark of the Beast is not getting a freaking vaccine or a chip implant; it is when we thoughtlessly contribute to, benefit from, and refuse to even become aware of these systems of oppression and violence.
So, to anyone reading this, young or old, man or woman, whatever: if you like make up keep wearing it. But if you think you need make up, do not wear it. You are being taken advantage of not only by an industry but also by the Adversary who wishes to destroy your body and your mind. Do not let anyone feed on your insecurities. You are a human image of God, do not let anyone tell you otherwise.
Keep fighting Babylon, family. Till His kingdom comes.

The LORD'S Judgment On The People
(A Future Prophecy Right Around The Corner)
Jeremiah 16:1-21
[1] The word of the Lord came also unto me, saying, [2] Thou shalt not take thee a wife, neither shalt thou have sons nor daughters in this place🇺🇲. [3] For thus saith the Lord concerning the sons and concerning the daughters that are born in this place🇺🇲, and concerning their mothers that bare them, and concerning their fathers that begat them in this land🇺🇲; [4] They shall die of grievous deaths; they shall not be lamented; neither shall they be buried; but they shall be as dung💩 upon the face of the earth: and they shall be consumed by the sword🦠🚀🔫, and by famine; and their carcasses shall be meat for the fowls of heaven, and for the beasts🦁 of the earth. [5] For thus saith the Lord, Enter not into the house of mourning, neither go to lament nor bemoan them: for I have taken away my peace from this people, saith the Lord, even loving-kindness and mercies. [6] Both the great 💪🏽and the small👶🏽 shall die in this land🇺🇲: they shall not be buried, neither shall men lament for them, nor cut themselves, nor make themselves bald for them: [7] neither shall men tear themselves for them in mourning, to comfort them for the dead; neither shall men give them the cup of consolation to drink for their father or for their mother. [8] Thou shalt not also go into the house of feasting, to sit with them to eat and to drink. [9] For thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will cause to cease out of this place in your eyes, and in your days, the voice of mirth🏟️🎊, and the voice of gladness🎉🕺🏽💃🏽, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride👰🏽♀️. [10] And it shall come to pass, when thou shalt show this people all these words, and they shall say unto thee, Wherefore hath the Lord pronounced all this great evil against us?🤷🏿 or what is our iniquity?🤷🏾♀️ or what is our sin that we have committed against the Lord our God?🤷🏻♂️ [11] Then shalt thou say unto them, Because your fathers have forsaken me, saith the Lord, and have walked after other gods (🪙🕍🙋🏻♂️👑etc), and have served them, and have worshipped them, and have forsaken me, and have not kept my law📜; [12] and ye have done WORSE than your fathers; for, behold, ye walk every one after the imagination of his evil heart, that they may not hearken unto me: [13] therefore will I cast you out of this land (Israel) into a land that ye know not (mainly 🇺🇲), neither ye nor your fathers; and there shall ye serve other gods (💵✝️🙋🏻♂️🛢️🍻👹📱💳🧿etc), day and night; where I will not show you favor. [14] Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that it shall no more be said, The Lord liveth, that brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt (Atheist); [15] but, The Lord liveth, that brought up the children of Israel from the land of the north🇺🇲, and from all the lands whither he had driven them🌍🌎🌏: and I will bring them again into their land that I gave unto their fathers (Israel). [16] Behold, I will send for many fishers (Prophets), saith the Lord, and they shall fish them (The Elect/ Believers); and after will I send for many hunters 🦸🏿♂️, and they shall hunt them from every mountain, and from every hill, and out of the holes of the rocks (The Rothchilds, Rockefellers, DuPonts, Builderbergs, Royal Family, etc) . [17] For mine eyes are upon all their ways: they are not hid from my face, neither is their iniquity hid from mine eyes. [18] And first I will recompense their iniquity and their sin DOUBLE😬; because they have defiled my land, they have filled mine inheritance with the carcasses of their detestable and abominable things. [19] O Lord, my strength, and my fortress, and my refuge in the day of affliction, the Gentiles shall come unto thee from the ends of the earth, and shall say, Surely our fathers have inherited lies, vanity, and things wherein there is no profit. [20] Shall a man make gods unto himself, and they are no gods? (Nonbelievers) [21] Therefore, behold, I will this once cause them to know, I will cause them to know mine hand and my might; and they shall know that my name is The Lord. 😡

Permit me to present some remarks on your reply to my last ask, even with some delay. I apologize from the beginning for the length of my text.
First of all, you have misunderstood me once more. I was not condescending in the introductory paragraph of my ask, I was just a bit playful.
In my last ask I simply presented the sources on the topic of the Babylonian "sacred prostitution" and the observations of some scholars on them. Concerning the Babylonian sources, I simply followed Benjamin R. Foster in his grouping and presentation of those texts of Late Period Babylonian literature in which (in his own words) "Ishtar tends to shed her militarism...to reveal her qualities as princess, lover, even prostitute' and which "provide glimpses into aspects of her persona that may have seemed horrifying and perverted to some Babylonians". So, permit me to say that your criticisms towards me about the many things that supposedly I would not have taken into consideration in my treatment of the Babylonian 'sacred prostitution" in my last ask are not founded.
I don't believe as you suspect in your answer that what Herodotus says on the Babylonian "sacred prostitution" should be taken "at face value". But I think that it is legitimate to search whether there is at least a kernel of truth in what he writes on this topic, although for sure there is much uncertainty around it.
Now, the truth is more generally that Babylonia does not have an eminent place in Herodotus' Histories: the description of the land and of the city of Babylon and the account of the customs of the Babylonians are presented in a number of chapters of the Book I, much less than the place devoted in Histories to Egypt and Scythia, which obviously interest Herodotus considerably more than Babylonia. It is doubted whether Herodotus visited Babylon and in fact he does not claim unambiguously such a visit. If he did visit Babylon, this must have been for a brief period of time and evidently the brevity of his visit and the linguistic barriers must have precluded any serious interaction with the Babylonian intellectual elites, even if we suppose that these elites were willing to collaborate seriously with a foreigner like him. But all this does not mean that Herodotus' account of Babylonia and of the city of Babylon is valueless, even if it cannot be any more a major source in Assyriology. For instance, a distinguished British Assyriologist, John MacGinnis, still active today, wrote some decades ago a paper on Herodotus and Babylon (Herodotus' Description of Babylon, available on the net), in which he assesses the merits and flaws of Herodotus' Babylonian logos, and his overall assessment is rather positive.
To return to our topic of the "sacred prostitution", it is I think undeniable that in Late Period Babylonia Ishtar is seen not only as Mistress of Love (belet ru' ame), but also as Prostitute (harimtu). It is also undeniable that, as Foster says commenting the Late Babylonian poem Erra and Ishum, "the cult of Ishtar was associated with prostitution". More specifically, it seems that female temple employees connected with Ishtar, especially the qadisthu and kulmashitu, had a sexual role as prostitutes.
On the other hand, it is true that Herodotus and the Letter of Jeremiah describe a Babylonian "sacred prostitution" (Herodotus writes explicitly about prostitution, the Letter implies it) which does not concern only some categories of temple employees, but larger sections of the Babylonian female population, and takes place in the streets of Babylon (around the temples, as Herodotus specifies). MacGinnis believes that the description of the women of Babylon in the Letter of Jeremiah is an 'interesting corroboration" of Herodotus' description, as 'it is not possible that we are dealing with a borrowing from Herodotus". In deed, it is implausible that Herodotus could have had an influence on a traditionalist Jewish author writing very probably ca 300 BCE, only a generation after Alexander's conquest, a period of time that I don't think that it was sufficient for the penetration of the Greek culture into such milieus, given also that the Letter does not show any other Greek influence or interest in the Greek culture; moreover, the author of the Letter of Jeremiah was very probably a Jew living in Babylon, who consequently did not need Herodotus to learn about the Babylonian customs.
This does not mean of course that we should accept that all Babylonian women were involved in the practice of "sacred prostitution", as the traditional interpretation of Herodotus wants. But I find philologically plausible the suggestion of Anagnostou-Laoutides and Charles that Herodotus' description of the Babylonian "sacred prostitution' of the Late Period means that only women who asked for a special favor from Ishtar and in a sense devoted themselves to her for a period of time were involved in the practice of "sacred prostitution". Such an interpretation is also plausible as reconstruction of the facts, as it is corroborated by the Letter of Jeremiah, which describes a phenomenon massive enough to attract the attention of an observer and be included in a virulent criticism of the Babylonian religion and way of life, without concerning necessarily all Babylonian women, and is not inherently contradicted by the Babylonian evidence: Ishtar was among other things the Prostitute, categories of female temple servants were traditionally active as prostitutes in association with the cult of Ishtar, and nothing excludes that this aspect of the goddess was imitated during the Persian period by many women who tried to obtain some special divine favor through the practice of 'sacred prostitution" once in their lives. But of course plausibility does not mean certainty and I follow MacGinnis in his conclusion that "sacred prostitution" is an uncertain/obscure aspect of Herodotus' account of Babylon.
Now, I see that you put more generally much emphasis on the principle that we should see a culture through the eyes of the members of this culture, not through the eyes of foreigners. This is a sound principle, but it has also limits and exceptions, as most principles do.
I say this first of all because the extant record from a dead culture is usually fragmentary. For instance, as MacGinnis points out, the Euphrates Bridge of Babylon, made by stone and connecting the two halves of the city, is not mentioned in any surviving ancient Babylonian text. It is mentioned only in Herodotus and later in Diodorus Siculus. But the Bridge existed and has been excavated by the German archaeologist Robert Koldewey (1855-1925), who, as I found after a bit of research, used Herodotus as guide in his excavations. Not that Herodotus' description of Babylon is flawless, but at least in this case the account of a foreigner like Herodotus permitted to fill a gap in the extant Babylonian literary evidence, with positive archaeological results.
Secondly, the extant record from a dead (and not only) culture is not only fragmentary, but almost always inherently biased, reflecting usually much more the ideas, habits, choices, and interests of people belonging to the elites of the culture than those of the rest of the population. As the distinguished (but perhaps unfortunate with respect to some of his students) British Egyptologist Bill Manley puts it in a remark about ancient Egypt (The Penguin Historical Atlas of Ancient Egypt, 1996, p. 13):
"Another distortion in the record arises from the ancient understanding of the earth as “twin lands”- a balance of opposites expressed in many forms: the land of the rising and setting suns; the fertile fields and sterile desert: the lands of the living and the dead and so on. To express this awareness, two styles of architecture, art and writing were devised: one lively, creative and temporary; the other formal, traditional and enduring. For example, the largest of royal palaces were built mainly of mud-brick -eventually to crumble- whereas even the smallest religious shrine were built of stone. As a result our received images of Egypt are funerary and religious and -since the ability to write was an indication of power- a typical Egyptian as transmitted into modern perception is likely to have been an élite male corpse!”
Even worse, the elites which control the record of a culture may try to "sweep under the rug" or give idealized and therefore distorted descriptions of unpleasant aspects of that culture. For instance, "sacred prostitution" of devadasi women was and perhaps is even today a thing in several Hindu temples, but the Hindu scriptures say nothing about it and many Brahmins defend even today the devadasi system, by giving totally idealized descriptions of it. Or, even more importantly historically, the sati (the Hindu custom of burning the widow on the pyre of her deceased husband, via social compulsion and in many cases via brute force) is presented in totally idealized and misleading terms in the traditional Hindu (Brahminical) record, but also in the modern nationalist, right wing Hindu literature. In both cases to understand such phenomena of the Hindu life one should rely till relatively recently (on historical scale) almost exclusively on testimonies outside of the culture, by Muslims and Europeans.
My conclusion to the last paragraphs of my text is that the testimony of a curious and inteligent "outsider" like Herodotus, who had as philosophical purpose of his inquiries to understand the vast diversity of human customs and ways of life but also the unity of human nature, may have, despite its inevitable flaws due to obvious historical reasons, more value than what you admit as source for the knowledge of cultures of the past.

Plagues in the Bible Lesson 03: The Ten Plagues of Egypt
When you think of plagues in the Bible, probably the first thing that comes to mind are the ten plagues of Egypt. Was the purpose of these plagues merely physical destruction to scare the Egyptians? Or is there a spiritual lesson we can learn from the ten plagues of Egypt? Let’s find out together in today’s lesson.
Let’s read together Genesis 15:13; Exodus 12:40; Exodus 20:1-4 ; and Deuteronomy 29:16-18.
At the time of Moses, the Israelites had been living in Egypt for over four hundred years. They had been exposed to idolatry by the worship of Egypt’s vast pantheon of gods. God had to establish Himself as the one true God to both the peoples of Israel and Egypt. Let’s examine the ten plagues of Egypt with this in mind.
Let’s read together Exodus 7:14-25.
Hapi was the Egyptian god of the Nile. He was considered by the Egyptians to be the personification of the annual flooding of the Nile, bringing water, food, creatures, and fertility to the land. In the first plague, the waters of the river Nile turned to blood. The fish in the river died and the water stank.
Let’s read together Exodus 8:1-15.
Heqet was the Egyptian goddess of birth and fertility. She was often depicted as having the head of a frog. In the second plague, frogs covered the land. The frogs were so numerous that they invaded people’s homes.
Let’s read together Exodus 8:16-19.
Geb was the Egyptian god of the earth. In the third plague, lice filled the land, bothering animals and people.
Let’s read together Exodus 8:20-32.
Khepri was the Egyptian god of the rising morning sun. He was often depicted as having the head of a scarab beetle. In the fourth plague, flies swarmed the land. However, the flies did not go to Goshen, where Israelites dwelt.
Let’s read together Exodus 9:1-7.
Hathor was the Egyptian goddess of love, sexuality, fertility, and music. She was often depicted as having the head of a cow. In the fifth plague, the Egyptian livestock were afflicted with a severe pestilence. However, the livestock of the Israelites were not afflicted.
Let’s read together Exodus 9:8-12.
Sekhmet was the Egyptian goddess of war and healing. In the sixth plague, boils broke out on all the Egyptians and the beasts that belonged to them.
Let’s read together Exodus 9:13-35.
Nut was the Egyptian goddess of the sky. In the seventh plague, fiery hail ravaged the fields of Egypt, killing all the livestock that were outside. The hail did not fall upon Goshen. The Egyptians who feared God brought their livestock into their houses when they heard Moses’ warning.
Let’s read together Exodus 10:1-20
Min was the Egyptian god of the harvest. In the eighth plague, locusts devoured all the vegetation in Egypt.
Let’s read together Exodus 10:21-29.
Ra was the Egyptian god of the sun. He was considered to be the lord of all the other Egyptian gods and the most powerful. In the ninth plague, thick darkness covered the land of Egypt for three days. However, the Israelites had light in their dwellings.
Let’s read together Exodus 11:1-9 and Exodus 12:1-30.
Note that Pharaoh himself was worshiped as a god. In the tenth plague, all the firstborn in all the households of Egypt were slain. Not even Pharaoh’s firstborn was spared. The only ones spared were houses with the blood of a lamb on the doorposts and lintel.
Let’s read together 14 Chronicles 16:25-27; Jeremiah 10:1-10; Jeremiah 14:22 and Ephesians 6:12.
The ten plagues of Egypt not only showed God’s power in general, but His power over the gods of Egypt. God was engaged in spiritual warfare to establish His supremacy as God. He clearly demonstrated the gods of Egypt were nothing more than worthless idols made of wood, stone, silver, or gold.
While the gods of Egypt are no longer worshiped today, other false gods have taken their place in the hearts of people. Many of these idols now take the form of technological advances, which in of themselves are not bad, but can divert people’s attention from God.
Friend, will you turn away from false gods and acknowledge God as the one true God?

The Mystery of Human Sacrifice: Origins, Beliefs, and Historical Cases
Human sacrifice, an ancient practice found in various cultures worldwide, has always been a topic shrouded in mystery, fear, and fascination. Throughout the centuries, human communities believed that offering life—often the purest members—was necessary to appease the gods, ensure bountiful harvests, or divine protection. In this article, we explore the origins of this practice, how it appeared in different cultures, the most well-known cases, and the idea behind the sacrifice of virgins. Additionally, we will examine why ancient societies believed that offering human lives would please the gods and why they often chose to sacrifice others instead of their own lives.
1. The Origins of Human Sacrifice
The idea of offering human lives to appease deities can be understood through various cultural, religious, and social factors. In many ancient societies, gods were seen as powerful, but also capricious and, in some cases, wrathful beings. To ensure their protection and maintain cosmic order, people believed that human sacrifices could restore balance and prevent calamities.
Sacrificial rituals often took place in times of crisis, such as droughts, epidemics, or wars. In desperate situations, offering something as valuable as human life seemed like the only way to gain divine favor. Additionally, ancient societies viewed life as an invaluable asset, and to give a life to the gods was considered the greatest gift one could offer.
2. The First Records and Practices in Various Cultures
The first records of human sacrifices date back to ancient civilizations such as Mesopotamia, Egypt, and Greece. However, it was in Mesoamerican and Middle Eastern cultures where the practice became particularly notorious.
Aztecs: The Aztec civilization is one of the most famous examples. They believed human sacrifice was necessary to ensure the sun continued to rise each day. War prisoners were sacrificed in public rituals, where their hearts were offered to the gods. Sacrifice was considered essential to maintaining cosmic order and ensuring agricultural fertility.
Incas: In the Andes, the Incas practiced a specific type of sacrifice known as Capacocha, which involved offering virgin children to the sun god. These children were chosen for their purity and taken to sacred mountain tops, where they were sacrificed. This practice was meant to ensure the empire's protection and prosperity.
Canaanites and Moloch: In the Middle East, particularly among the Canaanites, sacrifices to the god Moloch were performed in times of crisis. Children were offered to Moloch in a fire ritual, where they were placed in the arms of a heated metal statue. This practice was widely condemned in biblical texts, such as Leviticus and Jeremiah, where child sacrifice was considered an abomination.
Ancient China: During the Shang Dynasty in China, human sacrifices were part of royal funerals, where war prisoners were sacrificed to accompany the emperor or nobles in the afterlife. It was believed these victims would serve the dead in the beyond.
3. Why Did the Ancients Believe the Gods Desired Sacrifices?
The idea that gods demanded human sacrifices is rooted in various religious conceptions. In many cultures, gods were anthropomorphized, meaning they were attributed human characteristics, including emotions like anger and a desire for vengeance. Thus, people believed that extreme acts, like offering lives, could placate divine wrath and ensure favor. The gods, seen as creators and maintainers of the universe, were thought to require something of equal value to the gift of life—and what could be more valuable than life itself?
Moreover, human sacrifice was often interpreted as a direct form of communication with deities. The victim’s death acted as a "transmission" to the otherworld, carrying requests for mercy or gratitude directly to the gods.
4. Why Not Sacrifice One’s Own Life?
While offering one’s own life might seem like the greatest demonstration of faith, human sacrifices often involved others, rather than the sacrificer offering themselves. Several factors can explain this:
Substitution and Representation: The victims of sacrifice often represented the community or a specific group. Sacrificing a member of society was seen as a way to preserve the rest, transferring the spiritual "debt" to the victim.
Social Hierarchy and Status: In many cultures, elites or priests decided who would be sacrificed. Offering war prisoners, slaves, or members of lower classes also reinforced social hierarchy, making sacrifice both a religious act and a demonstration of power.
5. The Sacrifice of Virgins: The Idea of Purity and Divine Protection
One of the most common themes in human sacrifice is the offering of virgins, especially in ancient cultures. Virgins, due to their purity and innocence, were seen as the most precious offerings to the gods. The belief was that the purity of these young women would be more pleasing to the gods, as a "spotless" life represented the delivery of a perfect gift.
This idea can be found in various cultures. In Inca sacrifices, for example, children chosen for Capacocha were often virgins, and their purity was considered an essential aspect of the ritual. The same is true in Greek mythology, such as the case of Iphigenia, daughter of Agamemnon, who was offered to appease the goddess Artemis.
6. Notable Historical Cases of Human Sacrifice
Several cases of human sacrifice have left a mark on history. Some of the most well-known include:
The Sacrifice of Iphigenia: In Greek mythology, Iphigenia was offered by her father, Agamemnon, to ensure favorable winds for the Greek fleet in the Trojan War.
Aztec Sacrifices: As mentioned, the Aztecs sacrificed war prisoners on a large scale to maintain cosmic order.
Moloch and Canaanite Children: The sacrifice of children to the god Moloch is one of the most shocking examples of how the lives of the vulnerable were offered in fire rituals.
7. The Decline of Human Sacrifice
With the rise of monotheism and the advent of religions like Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, the practice of human sacrifice began to be strongly condemned. These religious systems emphasized the mercy and compassion of God, rejecting the idea that He would require human lives to be appeased.
However, even after the literal practice of human sacrifice ceased, the concept remained rooted in myths, legends, and stories of martyrdom, symbolizing extreme devotion and the desire for redemption.
Conclusion
Human sacrifice provides a fascinating, albeit disturbing, glimpse into how ancient cultures tried to understand the world around them and seek divine protection. From the elaborate rituals of the Aztecs to the sacrifices of Canaanite children to Moloch, this practice reveals how human life was viewed as the most valuable gift one could offer to the gods. Although the practice faded over time, its history continues to challenge us to reflect on the complex interactions between spirituality, power, and morality throughout history.

A Heart After God: Not Sinless But Humble
The book of Jeremiah was written after Israel had been taken into exile and before Judah was taken into captivity because of their idolatry and child sacrifice.
"Have you not just called to me: "My Father, my friend from my youth, will you always be angry? Will your wrath continue forever?' This is how you talk, but you do all the evil you can." Jeremiah 3: 4,5
Jeremiah began his 43 year prophetic ministry in the thirteenth year of king Josiah around 627 BC. Jeremiah's prophetic ministry ended when Babylon took Judah into exile around 586 BC during king Zedekiah's reign. During this period, Josiah instituted religious reforms, Babylon destroyed Assyria, Egypt briefly imposed vassal status on Judah, Babylon defeated Egypt and made Judah a Babylonian vassal around 605 BC. King Jehoiakim was placed on the throne as a vassal king, but king Jehoiakim rebelled and stopped paying taxes to Babylon. King Nebuchadnezzar II went to war against Judah. King Jehoiakim took a pro-Egyptian position, despite the prophet Jeremiah's warnings. Nebuchadnezzar II laid siege to Jerusalem in 597 BC. The city surrendered in March 597 BC, and Jehoiakim died during the siege. Zedekiah, Jehoiakim's uncle, was installed as the vassal king of Judah. However, he also revolted against Nebuchadnezzar II by ceasing to pay tribute and forming an alliance with Pharaoh Hophra. Nebuchadnezzar II declared war against Judah and laid siege to Jerusalem. Consequently the temple was destroyed and the remaining people were taken to Babylon. Zedekiah had his eyes plucked out by Nebuchadnezzar, but only after Zedekiah watched all of his sons being murdered. Zedekiah remained a prisoner in Babylon until his death. Thus this is the political and social climate in which Jeremiah is preaching.
From the moment God created Adam in the Garden, all God desired was a relationship. God walked in the Garden of Eden in the cool of the day to be with Adam and Eve.
Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the Lord God as he was walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid from the Lord God among the trees of the garden. But the Lord God called to the man, "Where are you?" Genesis 3:8,9
Obviously this was God's habit. He expected to find Adam and Eve, however, sin interfered with the relationship. When they were innocent, they were able to walk and talk with God freely. But that had all changed when they chose to disobey God's one and only command to them.
He (Adam) answered, " I heard you in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid." And he (God) said, "Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree that I commanded you not to eat from?" Genesis 3: 10-11
All that God desired from Adam and Eve was for them to love and obey him. As we see in Jeremiah, God doesn't want lip service.
"In spite of all this, (Northern tribes punished) her unfaithful sister Judah did not return to me with all her heart, but only in pretense," declares the Lord. Jeremiah 3: 10
How then can we reestablish our relationship with God if we have turned away from Him. Are we talking the talk on Sunday, but not walking the walk Saturday? This is what God says.
"'Return, faithless Israel,' declares the Lord. 'I will frown on you no longer, for I am faithful,' declares the Lord, 'I will not be angry forever. Only acknowledge your guilt- you have rebelled against the Lord your God, you have scattered your favors to foreign gods under every spreading tree, and have not obeyed me,'" declares the Lord. Jeremiah 3: 12,13.
Maybe we don't outwardly worship idols like they did thousands of years ago, but we do have idols. The most obvious ones of course are drugs, alcohol, sex, power, position, and prestige. But there are more subtle idols. What is it that comes before God in your life? Is it your job? Your friends? Sports? Your bank account? Keeping up with the Jones? Is it playing computer games or scrolling through social media? Do we have bitterness? Ungrateful hearts? We all have our weaknesses. If we truly look inside, we know where we have rebelled. God knows them too.
So what can we do if we, like Adam and Eve, find ourselves hiding from God instead of talking and walking with him? Micah tells us....
"You have been told, O Man what the Lord requires of you: only to do right, to love goodness, and to walk humbly with your God". Micah 6:8
To walk humbly is to admit your fault and ask God for forgiveness. Adam and Eve had to admit that they did indeed disobey God. Acknowledging our weakness and being humble before God is essential. Matthew reminds us that...
"Whoever lifts himself up will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be lifted up". Matthew 23:12. No one is perfect (except Jesus). For example David was a man after God's own heart, yet God himself said that David had shed blood.
I had it in my heart to build a house as a place of rest for the ark of the covenant of the LORD, for the footstool of our God, and I made plans to build it. But God said to me, `You are not to build a house for my Name, because you are a warrior and have shed blood." 1 Chronicles 28: 2,3.
(Think Uriah whom David had killed. Think of the raids that David committed when he was living with the Philistines.
Now David and his men went up and raided the Geshurites, the Girzites and the Amalekites. (From ancient times these peoples had lived in the land extending to Shur and Egypt.) Whenever David attacked an area, he did not leave a man or woman alive. 1 Samuel 13:14 .. yet, the bible says that David was "a man after God's heart". David writes in his Psalm...
"Then I acknowledged my sin to you and did not cover up my iniquity. I said I will confess my transgressions to the Lord. And you forgave the guilt of my sin." Psalm 32:5
When we acknowledge our sin, God promises to reestablish his relationship with us. God also reestablishes nations as well. God promised Israel that Zion would be established.
Return, faithless people," declares the Lord, "for I am you husband. I will choose you- one from a town and two from a clan- and bring you to Zion. Then I will give you shepherds after my own heart, who will lead you with knowledge and understanding. Jeremiah 3:14.
Once more we see in this verse, it is the condition of the heart God values. He promises shepherds after his own heart to lead them. What does it mean to have a heart after God? It means that you pursue after God to know Him intimately, and therefore, you love and value the same things God does.
I believe the next few verses are prophetic regarding the thousand year reign of Jesus.
"In those days, when your numbers have increased greatly in the land,' declares the Lord, "people will no longer say, 'The ark of the covenant of the Lord.' It will never enter their minds or be remembered; it will not be missed, nor will another be made." Jeremiah 3: 16
Why will the ark not be remembered? Because Jesus himself will be sitting on the throne.
"Blessed and holy are those who share in the first resurrection. The second death has no power over them, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with him for a thousand years." Revelation 20: 6
The prophecy continues...At that time they will call Jerusalem The Throne of the Lord, and all nations will gather in Jerusalem to honor the name of the Lord. Jeremiah 3: 17.
Not only will people come to bow before Jesus during his thousand year reign, the people will come every year to worship Jesus.
"And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles". Zechariah 14:16.
Blessed and holy are those who share in the first resurrection. The second death has no power over them. Revelation 20:6...What is the second death? Anyone whose name is not written in the Book of Life.
"Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. The earth and the heavens fled from his presence, and there was no place for them. And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books. The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what they had done. Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death. Anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire." Revelation 20: 11-15
ANYONE whose name is NOT written in the Book of Life. This book is different from the other books which recorded what the dead had done.
What is The Book of Life? The Book of Life is a record of those who are saved and will live with God in heaven forever. It's also known as the Lamb's Book of Life because it contains the names of those who have been redeemed by the blood of Jesus Christ.
"All inhabitants of the earth will worship the beast—all whose names have not been written in the Lamb’s book of life, the Lamb who was slain from the creation of the world." Revelation 13:8
The verse tells us that ALL those who did NOT accept Jesus as their Savior will worship the beast. How scary is that? For those whose names are in The Book of Life, there will be joy after the great tribulation.

CHAPTER 1 : PROOF 1, Moon ratio 8
The big proof that was discovered by yours truly on the 27th of July 2024 is this: 3474.8 (diameter of the Moon) / 434.02 (distance Great Pyramid of Giza to the Church of Nativity, Bethlehem) is nearly a perfect 8. It’s 8.006. How does it become a perfect 8, by adding 330 or 0.33 KM to the Giza-Beth distance making it 434.35, why 330 meters? How old was I when I died last life? 33. How many commandments are there? 10. Could you list ten comm or listen? Do you not think the English language is coded with so many words ending in king? Talking, walking, liking, thinking, banking, clocking too many to mention, fuc….. (In French also, tu as une croix, et ton droit de parole est le plus important, enlève le c et le x de croix, ou le d et le t de droit, il te reste quoi? Roi = King) A perfect 8 is so out of the realm of possibility that it makes all efforts at rebuttal of this proof pointless. Combined with the other proofs, I have put together, it makes my argument undeniable. Psalms 89:37 the Old Testament
“Like the moon his throne will stand firm forever. It will be like a faithful witness in heaven." Proverbs 25:2
“It is the glory of Elohim to conceal a matter, And the glory of kings to investigate a matter.” My middle name is Holmes after all and Elon is not Elohim or his representative, I am (although I look forward to our interactions in the not-too-distant future, his verified dog on X : @marvinmusk already follows me on X), the last of my first 3 verified followers when I restarted using X at the end of July 2024, close to the 11th year of my membership of X. Isaiah 19:19-22
“In that day there will be an altar to the LORD in the heart of Egypt, and there will be a monument to the LORD at its border. It will be a sign and a witness that the LORD of Heaven's Armies is worshiped in the land of Egypt.” My other witnesses in this proof are the Great Pyramid at Giza which this quote is referring to and my previous life’s birthplace. Jeremiah 32:20a “Which has set signs and wonders in the land of Egypt, even unto this day . . . “
Without the Moon, the Great Pyramid of Giza, and my previous life’s birthplace, I would still be howling at the Moon with no one to listen. Einstein said that God does not play dice with the Universe. I am here to confirm that God does not, as well as to share other truths from my previous life as Jesus / Joshua and to make sure God’s creation is on the right path to righteousness, compassion, and love. MOON The Moon is, weirdly, a perfect circle, hence, its diameter is constant at 3474.8 KM. Our Moon has some truly strange characteristics that do not occur on any other moons observed in this galaxy or others (if you are interested in the Moon and all its oddities, I recommend the Why files on YouTube for further information). It appears to be hollow. The sun is nearly exactly 400 times bigger than the moon and as the Sun is 400 times further away, this amazing coincidence makes eclipses possible. THE PYRAMID The Great Pyramid of Giza, much like the Moon, has many strange characteristics which I go into detail about in Appendix 1. Some of it’s characteristics include 1. The Great Pyramid weighs one trillionth the weight of the world. 2. If you take two lengths of the pyramid this is also the average distance a point moves through space in one second of the earth’s rotation. 3. The Great Pyramid at Giza length minus its height is 314.16 meters or 100 times the number Pi. Two sides of the Great Pyramid added together equals 100 times the Golden number squared. A difference of only a few centimeters in its construction would mean that this would not be true.
BIRTHPLACE Taken from CBN News, Chris Mitchell report from 24 December 2021: “The Church of the Nativity is one of the oldest churches in the world. And Prof. Qustandi Shomali of Bethlehem University argues, "This is the place where Jesus Christ was born."
"The Church of the Nativity was built over this place in 326 when Emperor Constantine decided to declare Christianity as the official religion of the Roman Empire," Shomali said. "Since then, pilgrims from all around the world started coming to Bethlehem to visit this place. The place where Christianity started." Inside the church, the original columns from the 4th Century still stand. Constantine's mother, Queen Helena, built the church. But why would she build it here?
"We do know that the identification of the site where Jesus was born already traditionally goes back to the middle of the first century at least," Shomali said.” For the full article: https://www2.cbn.com/news/news/church-nativity-do-we-really-know-where-christ-was-born?fbclid=IwY2xjawEiyIBleHRuA2FlbQIxMAABHXmcWlx5n08dvxBf7hGAD_F4DC9QH-FQo9qpE5KgfELwHorUVyXRNI-cVg_aem_WHe5mBaMguoNJ3JzmTOp8g
The tallest point (Apex) of the Church of Nativity is directly above the silver star that marks the spot in the manger of Joshua’s/Jesus’s birthplace. This is how using Google Earth I was able to get the exact distance between the Great Pyramid of Giza and Jesus’s Birthplace by going from Apex to Apex. 434.02 KM. So went from the Great Pyramid of Giza, a creation of God, like the Moon, to being born by God’s hand in Bethlehem. Lived for 33 years (see Appendix 2 for the significance of the number 33), and every year was faithful to the 10 commandments.
Thinking about the importance of 330 m makes me think about Jesus’s age. In mathematics, 33 is a palindrome number, meaning it reads the same backward as forward, such as 22 and 11, spiritually these are thought to be the most powerful numbers because they repeat. It is also the sum of the first four positive factorials (0! + 1! + 2! + 3! = 33). Additionally, 33 is the atomic number of arsenic. Synonymous with death and Jesus did die at 33 last life. The more I think about it the more it makes sense that you have to add 330 meters to the Birthplace of Jesus to get a perfect 8 ratio.
Why is the ratio of 8 important? One of the most fascinating elements about the number 8 is its connection to the symbol of infinity. The double everlasting loop represents eternity and the infinite power of love and spirituality. Ask any Chinese or Japanese person, or any Eastern person for that matter, and they will tell you that this is the luckiest number. See Appendix 2: Numbers for further discussion on the number 8 and its significance.
The good news I delivered in my last life was that you LIVE on, eternally, as can be depicted by the number 8 in this life. That heaven is real. This was the Good News I brought and one of the most important revelations that I wanted to make the world aware of again.
Your words and actions matter and they echo for an eternity. Check yourself, have you broken any of these (If so repent and pray, preferably on Saturday, for forgiveness, direct to our Creator):

2 Kings 24: Jehoiakim Becomes Nebuchadnezzar's Vassal After Being Invaded By Babylon
1 During Jehoiakim’s reign, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon invaded the land, and Jehoiakim became his vassal for three years. But then he turned against Nebuchadnezzar and rebelled.
2 The Lord sent Babylonian, Aramean, Moabite and Ammonite raiders against him to destroy Judah, in accordance with the word of the Lord proclaimed by his servants the prophets.
3 Surely these things happened to Judah according to the Lord’s command, in order to remove them from his presence because of the sins of Manasseh and all he had done,
4 including the shedding of innocent blood. For he had filled Jerusalem with innocent blood, and the Lord was not willing to forgive.
5 As for the other events of Jehoiakim’s reign, and all he did, are they not written in the book of the annals of the kings of Judah?
6 Jehoiakim rested with his ancestors. And Jehoiachin his son succeeded him as king.
7 The king of Egypt did not march out from his own country again, because the king of Babylon had taken all his territory, from the Wadi of Egypt to the Euphrates River.
Jehoiachin King of Judah
8 Jehoiachin was eighteen years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem three months. His mother’s name was Nehushta daughter of Elnathan; she was from Jerusalem.
9 He did evil in the eyes of the Lord, just as his father had done.
10 At that time the officers of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon advanced on Jerusalem and laid siege to it,
11 and Nebuchadnezzar himself came up to the city while his officers were besieging it.
12 Jehoiachin king of Judah, his mother, his attendants, his nobles and his officials all surrendered to him.
In the eighth year of the reign of the king of Babylon, he took Jehoiachin prisoner.
13 As the Lord had declared, Nebuchadnezzar removed the treasures from the temple of the Lord and from the royal palace, and cut up the gold articles that Solomon king of Israel had made for the temple of the Lord.
14 He carried all Jerusalem into exile: all the officers and fighting men, and all the skilled workers and artisans—a total of ten thousand. Only the poorest people of the land were left.
15 Nebuchadnezzar took Jehoiachin captive to Babylon. He also took from Jerusalem to Babylon the king’s mother, his wives, his officials and the prominent people of the land.
16 The king of Babylon also deported to Babylon the entire force of seven thousand fighting men, strong and fit for war, and a thousand skilled workers and artisans.
17 He made Mattaniah, Jehoiachin’s uncle, king in his place and changed his name to Zedekiah.
Zedekiah King of Judah
18 Zedekiah was twenty-one years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem eleven years. His mother’s name was Hamutal daughter of Jeremiah; she was from Libnah.
19 He did evil in the eyes of the Lord, just as Jehoiakim had done.
20 It was because of the Lord’s anger that all this happened to Jerusalem and Judah, and in the end he thrust them from his presence.
The Fall of Jerusalem
Now Zedekiah rebelled against the king of Babylon.

Out of Egypt I Called my Son
1 For Israel was a child, and I loved him; and from Egypt I called my son. (When Israel was a boy, I loved him; and I called my son out of Egypt.)
2 They called them, so they went away from the face of them. They offered to Baalim, and made sacrifice to simulacra. (And I called to them, but they went further away from me. They offered to the Baalim, and made sacrifice to idols.)
3 And I as a nurse of Ephraim bare them in mine arms, and they knew not, that I kept them. (And I as the nurse of Ephraim carried them in my arms, but they did not know, that it was I who had kept them safe.)
4 I shall draw them in the ropes of Adam, in the bonds of charity. And I shall be to them as he that enhanceth the yoke on the cheeks of them; and I bowed down to him that he should eat. (I drew them to me with the ropes of man, or of people, yea, with the bonds of love. And I was to them like he who lifteth up a little child to his cheeks/like he who lifteth off their yoke; and I bent down to feed them.)
5 He shall not turn again into the land of Egypt. And Assur, he shall be king of him, for they would not turn (again to me). (And so they shall return to the land of Egypt. And the Assyrian, he shall be their king, because they would not return to me.)
6 A sword began in the cities thereof, and it shall waste the chosen men thereof, and shall eat the heads of them. (And a sword shall begin in their cities, and it shall destroy their chosen ones, and it shall eat their leaders.)
7 And my people shall hang, at my coming again. But a yoke shall be put to them (al)together, that shall not be taken away. (But my people shall persist in their rebellion. And a yoke shall be put upon them, and it shall not be taken away.)
8 How shall I give thee (up), Ephraim? shall I defend thee, Israel? how shall I give thee (up)? As Admah I shall set thee; as Zeboiim. Mine heart is turned within me; my repentance is disturbed together. (How can I give thee up, Ephraim? how can I abandon thee, Israel? how can I give thee up? Shall I make thee like Admah? or like Zeboiim? My heart is turned within me; my repentance is altogether kindled.)
9 I shall not do the strong vengeance of my wrath. I shall not turn (again), to lose Ephraim; for I am God, and not man. I am Holy in the midst of thee, and I shall not enter into a city. (I shall not do the strong vengeance of my anger. I shall not return, or turn back, to destroy Ephraim; for I am God, and not a man. I am the Holy One in thy midst, and I shall not enter into thy cities.)
10 They shall go after the Lord. He shall roar as a lion, for he shall roar, and the sons of the sea shall dread. (They shall follow after the Lord. And he shall roar like a lion, and when he shall roar, his sons shall come to him from the west.)
11 And they shall fly away as a bird from Egypt, and as a culver from the land of Assyrians. And I shall set them in their houses, saith the Lord. (And they shall fly away like a bird out of Egypt, and like a dove out of the land of Assyria. And I shall put them again in their own houses, saith the Lord.)
12 Ephraim compassed me in denying, the house of Israel in guile. But Judah a witness went down with God, and with faithful saints. (Ephraim surroundeth me with denial, or with treachery, yea, the house of Israel surroundeth me with deceitfulness. And Judah still rebelleth against me, the faithful and the holy God.) — Hosea 11 | Wycliffe's Bible (WYC) The Wycliffe Bible is in the public domain. 2 Kings 23: 31-35. "The Third Zephyr."
When things get tough, the Melachim says to get a bigger gun or back to Egypt we go. Josiah, "the end of the depression" was the best king Israel has had so far in the Annals of the Books of Kings. His glories did not last, not because of him but because the rest of the world had not achieved Mashiach.
Thus, a wicked Pharaoh of Egypt, Necho, "one who halts freedoms" came and took everything Israel had from its people in spite of all Josiah had done. This is happening now. People all around the world are failing in their observances of the law which protects the freedom and dignity of all persons and we are burning down to stubble.
Joe Biden is not responding swiftly enough or brutally enough to the wickedness of the Russians, Republicans, and Evangelicals and their corruption, hate, and fear are turning the world off its axis.
As we learned in previous frames, tyrants and slavers are not permitted to live alongside ordinary freedom loving persons. This never works.
A new king, Jehoahaz, "what God attempts to help us grasp" attempts to "adjust the firing range" and restore Israel to business as usual, but he cannot pass the Third Month. Joe Biden is the same. He cannot push us past the bloodthirstiness and corruption of his enemies, and the entire planet is off kilter because of it, and into the hands of the Mormons, modern day Egyptian slave gods we are sliding.
There are Four Directions one turns when one backslides into slavery in Egypt. The first, is Hamutal, "spotted, mentally agitated" daughter of Jeremiah, a swear word in Hebrew:
"The verb רמה (rama) essentially means to loosen, but is used only three times literally (twice for shooting arrows and once for hurling riders into the sea). Mostly our verb is used in the sense of playing loose with the truth, i.e. to compromise the solidness of trustworthiness and be swampy.
Hence our verb is mostly translated with to beguile, deceive or mislead. Nouns רמיה (remiya), מרמה (mirma), תרמה (torma) and תרמית (tarmit) describe various degrees and nuances of treachery, deceit and looseness in the trustworthiness department."
Libnah is leprosy, meaning the new Royals did not believe in God overly much.
Jehoahaz King of Judah
31 Jehoahaz was twenty-three years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem three months. His mother’s name was Hamutal daughter of Jeremiah; she was from Libnah.
32 He did evil in the eyes of the Lord, just as his predecessors had done. 33 Pharaoh Necho put him in chains at Riblah in the land of Hamath so that he might not reign in Jerusalem, and he imposed on Judah a levy of a hundred talents[c] of silver and a talent[d] of gold.
34 Pharaoh Necho made Eliakim son of Josiah king in place of his father Josiah and changed Eliakim’s name to Jehoiakim. But he took Jehoahaz and carried him off to Egypt, and there he died.
35 Jehoiakim paid Pharaoh Necho the silver and gold he demanded. In order to do so, he taxed the land and exacted the silver and gold from the people of the land according to their assessments.
The son, Eliakim, "who God sets up in order to help the people stand up" renamed Jehoiakim put his fathers in chains, takes him away from home and buries him in disgrace in the Land of Egypt.
How easy it is for one generation to do that to the next. Our grandfathers would have dragged Donald Trump behind a pickup truck down a gravel road long ago, but his comments about allowing Russia to take over the world were a wee bit much even for us, or should have been. Still he lives for some strange reason that utterly escapes me. Still he and his followers still trouble this world without any hope in sight.
Necho, the end of freedom, is alive and well on this planet and it, not the God of Israel is taxing us and this has to be stopped. As the final verse in this section says- if it can be taken away from oneself, including one's life, a man like Donald Trump will take it. We should be doing everything we can to put him under his headstone.
And this shit about showing Hamas and the Mormons clemency has to be banished from the global convseration. They are not human beings, they are all rubbish and into the fire every last one of them must go.
The Values in Gematria for the above are:
v. 31: Jehoahaz was twenty-three years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem three months. The Value in Gematria is 11875, יאחזה, yahaza, "will hold."
v. 32-33: He did evil. The Value in Gematria is 8307, חג אֶפֶסז, "the Ephesus Holiday."
So long as we allow slavers and complainers to run the world, the International Holiday known as Mashiach, "Global Ethical Responsibility" will remain in our future.
v. 34: Pharaoh Necho made Eliakim son of Josiah king in place of his father. The Value in Gematria is 7026, ז אֶפֶסבו , z ephesus, "The Third Ephesus."
Zayin is the Seventh Letter of the Alefbeis, "the Eye of the Fountain" AKA what is called Ha Shem, but if we cannot surpass the Third Letter, Gimel, "the recompense" we shall not reach a point in human evolution that is pleasing to God.
v. 35: Jehoiakim paid Pharaoh Necho the silver and gold he demanded. The Value in Gematria is 7071, "the zephyr zapesza" "watch what happens when the wind blows between the eyes."
This bizarre combination of za pes za refers to the hand or foot that ornaments life between the ears and behind the eyes. When Moses raised his hands up and caused the wind to blow and separate the Red Sea so the trapped and desperate Israelites could have their freedom at last, what happened to the Egyptians that were too stupid to suspect what was going to happen next?
The Egyptians Drown in the Sea
26 Then the Lord told Moses, “Stretch out your hand over the sea and the water will come back over the Egyptians, over their chariots, and over their horsemen.” 27 Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and the water returned to its normal depth at daybreak. The Egyptians tried to retreat in front of the advancing water,[a] but the Lord destroyed[b] the Egyptians in the middle of the sea. 28 The water returned, covering the chariots and the horsemen of Pharaoh’s entire army that had pursued the Israelis into the sea. Not a single one of them remained.
Dead. All of them.
The Egyptians were too foolish to stop and think the very God that was working magic right in front of them in order that their former slaves could escape might bear a grudge against them and finish the job of freeing His people from their grasp, and that was a big mistake. It is a mistake the persons threatening Israel today are making. They must pay dearly for it. As dearly as possible. The Holy Torah insists on this.
And it's not just happening in Israel, to Jews, it is happening to LGBTQ people, Muslims, Africans, Ukrainians and African Americans. It is clearly time for vengeance, and after that is done, it will be time for Mashiach.
For now, tell Joe Biden in the loudest voice, the Republicans and Mormons have to be dealt with.

To be written upon the heart & mind
Today’s reading of the Scriptures from the New Testament is the 8th chapter of the book of Hebrews:
So let me sum up what we’ve covered so far, for there is much we have said: we have a High Priest, a perfect Priest who sits in the place of honor in the highest heavens, at the right hand of the throne of the Majestic One, a Minister within the heavenly sanctuary set up by the Lord, not by human hands.
As I have said, it is the role of every high priest to offer gifts and sacrifices to God, so clearly this Priest of ours must have something to offer as well. If He were on earth, then He would not be a priest at all because there are already priests who can offer gifts according to the law of Moses in a sanctuary that is only a copy and shadow of the heavenly sanctuary. We know this because God admonished Moses as he set up the tent for the Lord’s sanctuary: “Be sure that you make everything according to the pattern I showed you on the mountain.” But now Jesus has taken on a new and improved priestly ministry; and in that respect, He has been made the Mediator of a better covenant established on better promises. Remember, if the first covenant had been able to reconcile everyone to God, there would be no reason for a second covenant. God found fault with the priests when He said through the prophet Jeremiah,
“Look! The time is coming,” the Eternal Lord says,
“when I will bring about a new covenant with the people of Israel and Judah.
It will not be like the covenant I made with their ancestors
when I took them by the hand
and led them out of slavery in the land of Egypt.
They did not remain faithful to that covenant,
so,” the Eternal One says, “I turned away from them.
But when those days are over,” the Eternal One says, “I will make
this kind of covenant with the people of Israel:
I will put My laws on their minds
and write them upon their hearts.
I will be their God,
and they will be My people.
In those days, they won’t need to teach each other My ways
or to say to each other, ‘Know the Eternal.’
In those days, all will know Me,
from the least to the greatest.
I will be merciful when they fail,
and I will erase their sins and wicked acts out of My memory
as though they had never existed.”
With the words “a new covenant,” God made the first covenant old, and what is old and no longer effective will soon fade away completely.
The Book of Hebrews, Chapter 8 (The Voice)
Today’s paired chapter of the Testaments is the 23rd chapter of the book of Ezekiel:
The word of the Eternal came to me with a parable about two sisters.
Eternal One: Son of man, there were two women born of the same mother. They became promiscuous in Egypt at a young age. Their breasts were fondled, and their virgin bodies were caressed. The older sister was named Oholah, and her younger sister was named Oholibah. They married Me, and they gave birth to many sons and daughters.
Oholah is Samaria (the mother city of Israel), and Oholibah is Jerusalem (the mother city of Judah).
Eternal One: Oholah played the whore while she was still Mine. She coveted many lovers, lusting after her neighbors, the Assyrians— sharply dressed in handsome blue, governors and commanders—all attractive young men mounted on great horses. She offered herself as a prostitute to all of the fine Assyrian men and anyone who desired her. She degraded herself with the idols of her lovers. She didn’t stop the promiscuity she began in Egypt, for when she was young she slept with men who caressed her virgin breasts and poured out their lust on her. So I handed her over to those she loved, the Assyrians whom she desired. They stripped her naked, stole her children, and slaughtered her during the war. So among women, her name became synonymous with disgrace, when they saw the punishment she received.
Her younger sister, Oholibah, witnessed all that happened; yet Oholibah became more corrupt than her sister. Her wanton lust and prostitution were even worse than her sister’s. She was obsessed with the Assyrians, too, lusting after the elite—governors and commanders, sharply-dressed warriors—all attractive young men mounted atop great horses. I saw how she degraded herself. Both she and her sister followed the same path, but Oholibah’s path went further and she traveled longer. She added the Babylonians to her list of paramours. She was captivated by images of men painted on a wall: figures of Chaldeans dressed in red, with expensive belts wrapped around their waists and flowing turbans adorning their heads. All of them looked highly distinguished, like Babylonian officers from the land of Chaldea. As soon as her eyes met these portraits, she lusted after them. And so she sent messengers to them in Chaldea. And the Babylonians accepted her invitation and came into her bed of love, degrading her with their lust. When they had completely defiled her, she turned away from them in disgust. Because she carried on her whoring so publicly and exposed herself to so many, I was repulsed by her just as I was her sister. Yet she went deeper into prostitution when she remembered how she played the whore when she was young in the land of Egypt. She lusted for lovers whose genitals were as large as a donkey’s and whose emissions were like a horse’s.
You, Judah, longed for the lewd promiscuity of your youth in Egypt,
when men fondled your breasts and caressed your virgin body.”
Pay attention, Oholibah! I will turn your forgotten lovers against you,
the ones whom you turned away from in disgust.
I will bring them against you from every direction.
Babylonians and all the Chaldeans,
the people of Pekod, Shoa, and Koa, and all the Assyrians,
All attractive young men, governors and commanders,
sharply-dressed officers and high-ranking officials mounted atop great horses.
They will come after you with lethal weapons in hand,
shields in place, dressed in armor;
And troops will storm you from every side
in war chariots and wagons.
I will hand you over to their judgment,
and they will punish you according to their customs.
I will unleash My jealous fury against you.
They will slice off your nose and ears and kill the rest of your people in battle.
They will steal your children,
and they will burn any who survive in a fire.
They will strip you and take away your clothes;
they will rob you of your expensive jewelry.
This is how I will put a stop to the promiscuities
and prostitution you brought from the land of Egypt.
You will not admire or remember Egypt with yearning anymore.
Here is what the Eternal Lord has to say:
Eternal One: Pay attention! I am a moment away from handing you over to those whom you loathe, the ones whom you turned away from in disgust. They will treat you with hatred and rob you of your lot. They will rip off your clothes in public and leave you naked. The marks of your prostitution—your lewd, promiscuous life—will be apparent. You have brought this upon yourself because you played the whore with your neighboring nations, degraded yourself with profane images and breathless idols. You have followed the same path as your sister; therefore, I will let you drink from her very own cup.
You will drink from your sister’s cup,
a cup deep and wide.
It will bring you shame and scorn
and a lot of it.
You will drink your fill of drunkenness and agony,
with tears of sorrow running down your cheeks.
This is the cup of ruination, of destruction—
the cup of your sister Samaria!
You will drink it down and drain it dry;
then you will smash the cup to pieces
And gnaw on its shattered remains;
you will tear at the breasts your enemies once fondled.
For I, the Eternal Lord, have spoken.
Because you have forgotten Me and tossed Me over your shoulder like a piece of trash, you must reap the consequences of your promiscuities and prostitution.
(to Ezekiel) Son of man, will you judge Oholah and Oholibah? You must! Confront them about their shocking actions— the adulterous liaisons they commit with bloody hands, even sacrificing their sons and daughters, My children, as burnt offerings to breathless idols. Not only that, but they have also polluted My sanctuary and profaned My Sabbaths by sacrificing their children to the breathless idols on the same day they came into My house. This is what they did to Me and My house. This is how they profaned it. They even sent a special invitation to men who lived far away. When they arrived, you had bathed in fragrant waters, painted around your eyes, dressed in seductive garments, and adorned your body with shiny jewelry for your honored guests. You reclined on a silky couch in front of a table set for your visitors with the incense and oils that belonged to Me. As for Oholibah, the mellowed crowd gathered around her—drunkards from the desert and noisy commoners. They adorned the arms of the sisters with bracelets I’d given them and placed ostentatious crowns on the heads of My queens. Then I wondered about this woman who was exhausted from adulterous sex: “Will they still want to sleep with her, here and now?” Yes, they all went into her bed, one after another, and used her as a prostitute. This is what they did to both these wanton women: Oholah and Oholibah. But righteous people will condemn these sisters to punishment befitting adulterous and murderous women! For they are indeed adulteresses and their hands are covered with innocent blood.
This is what the Eternal Lord has to say:
Eternal One: Bring a vast army against them! Overtake them with terror and plunder their goods! Their enemies will crush them with large rocks and hack them down in battle. They will massacre their children—My children—and burn down their houses!
(to the sisters) This is how I will put an end to the lewdness practiced in the land and make you an example to all women, that they may learn from your mistakes and never commit the wicked acts you did. You will suffer the consequences of your promiscuity; you will bear the penalty for worshiping your idols. Then you will know that I am the Eternal Lord.
The Book of Ezekiel, Chapter 23 (The Voice)
A note from The Voice translation:
After King Solomon’s death, Israel splits into two kingdoms, the two sisters described in this parable. Israel is ruled from Samaria; Judah is ruled from Jerusalem. Both kingdoms are ruled autonomously until Assyria dominates Israel, forcing her to pay tribute. Eventually the Assyrians conquer Israel in 722 b.c. and annex her land. Throughout this struggle, the various kings of Israel turn for help to everyone they can—everyone, that is, except God. Israel’s last cry for help is raised to Egypt in the 730s b.c. by her last king, Hoshea (2 Kings 17:4). Unfortunately, surviving historical records are incomplete, and what happens next is unclear. But in the end, Egypt proves to be no help to Israel.
A link to my personal reading of the Scriptures for Sunday, november 19 of 2023 with a paired chapter from each Testament of the Bible along with Today’s Proverbs and Psalms
A post by John Parsons about the significance of trusting our Creator:
"Father, if you are willing, remove this cup from me; nevertheless, not my will, but thine be done" (Luke 22:42). This is the consummate expression of a heart fully surrendered to the care of God, because there is nothing more common than the impulse for self-preservation, and yet here we behold the sacrifice of Yeshua’s very soul (מְסִירַת הַנֶפֶשׁ יֵשׁוּע) as he willingly offered himself up to suffer and die an agonizing death upon the cross - all in loving deference to his Father's will.
Surrendering your will to the care of God is the essence of "bittachon" (בִּטָחוֹן), that is, trusting that God is in control of your life and will personally care for you, no matter what. Some people have an evil will that does not tolerate any contradiction or opposition; others attempt to surrender to God but their impatience belies their willingness to do so. The truly good will is simple and forthright, seeking the “beauty of the LORD” (Psalm 27:4). When hindered, the baal bittachon (trusting soul) says from his innmost depths, "I am content with whatever you give to me: Thy will be done."
We sometimes think we know God's will us, yet we find ourselves stymied or blocked in our doing so. In every case, however, we must seek first God's will and submit to him (Matt. 6:33). The Lord may thwart even our best intentions to reveal his surpassing wisdom regarding the matter, however. For instance, recall Peter's appeal to the Lord to turn away from the way of the cross (Matt. 16:21-23). Yeshua minced no words, saying to him: "Get behind me, Satan! You are a hindrance to me. For you are not setting your mind on the things of God, but on the things of man." And then he turned to the other disciples present and said to them: "If anyone wants to be my follower, let him disown himself and take up his cross and follow me. For whoever wills to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it."
Because Peter did not realize the redemptive mission of Yeshua as the “Lamb of God” who would suffer, be killed, and ascend from the dead, he impulsively began to rebuke Yeshua by judging that it would be better for Yeshua to avoid such trouble from the leaders of Israel by taking a different approach, perhaps by attempting to “win them over” to the idea that he was Israel's promised Messiah. We are not sure what Peter was thinking, of course, but it is likely that he strongly believed - mistakenly enough - that what he esteemed as good was God's will... Peter needed to be humbled and to trust that God's unfathomable plan was best. He was faced with the decision whether he would crucify his own will or to lose himself through self-deception. Yeshua promised that those who were willing to surrender to him would find salvation and peace as they walked in trust of God's love and care for them. Amen.

Certain Men
“For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation.” (Jude 1:4)
Jude speaks severely of these “certain men” who were “before ordained” (literally “written about beforehand”) for a very specific judgment. The context relates back to the period of the Old Testament, although Jude later identifies others who are apparently active in the early churches.
A purification of 30 days was required of “certain men” who were (apparently) undertakers during the time of Moses. They were “defiled” by their contact with dead bodies according to the law but must still keep the Passover—albeit a month after the other Israelites (Numbers 9:4-11). God does not allow excuses.
Later, “certain men” among the Israelites who had apostatized and become “children of Belial” were to be destroyed, along with their city and all of their possessions, after it had been definitely determined that they had left Israel and become part of a cult community (Deuteronomy 13:13-16). God does not take prisoners!
During the time of Jeremiah’s ministry, God allowed the evil king Jehoiakim to send “certain men” down into Egypt to capture the prophet Urijah so the king could kill him (Jeremiah 26:22-23). God does allow evil men to gain the upper hand temporarily as He brings about the fulfillment of His prophetic warnings—in this case, the captivity of Judah by Babylon.
Jude speaks of “certain men” who had been “written before” (prographo) as historical examples of those among the New Testament saints who were “denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ” (v. 4b). Peter puts it this way: “But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction” (2 Peter 2:1). LIGHT OF LIFE 421
John 1:4
UNDERSTANDING PROPHETIC MANDATES 55: FULFILLMENT OF PROPHECY 13
Amo 3:7 CERTAINLY, THE ALMIGHTY LORD DOESN'T DO ANYTHING UNLESS HE FIRST REVEALS HIS SECRET TO HIS SERVANTS THE PROPHETS. GW
Again we ask: why did God want Baby Jesus carried in flight and away from the threat of Herod?
I rather think it was actually Herod that was threatened over the presence of Jesus.
Mat 2:2-3 and inquired of the people, “WHERE IS THE CHILD WHO IS BORN KING OF THE JEWISH PEOPLE? We observed his star rising in the sky and we’ve come to bow before him in worship.” KING HEROD WAS SHAKEN TO THE CORE WHEN HE HEARD THIS, and not only him, but all of Jerusalem was disturbed when they heard this news. ERV
Jesus was born as King already, and technically, stood in place to face any other King.
But even so, if we were to insist that He was yet a child, then we should know that Angels fight for Him.
Rev 12:4,5,7 With its tail, it dragged a third of the stars from the sky and threw them down to the earth. Then THE DRAGON TURNED TOWARD THE WOMAN, BECAUSE IT WANTED TO EAT HER CHILD AS SOON AS IT WAS BORN. The woman gave birth to A SON, WHO WOULD RULE ALL NATIONS WITH AN IRON ROD. The boy was snatched away. He was taken to God and placed on his throne…A WAR BROKE OUT IN HEAVEN. MICHAEL AND HIS ANGELS WERE FIGHTING AGAINST THE DRAGON AND ITS ANGELS. CEV
Beloved, it is so, simply because Times and seasons are SET by God and can’t be altered anyhow.
Ecc 3:1 For everything there is a FIXED time, and a time for every business under the sun. BBE
No one event is meant to overrule another; every single event waits for its own time.
Even strong cries for relief and demands in prayers, rarely alter TIME and SEASONS.
If you prayed now and God answered and turned things around, it only happened because it was meant to happen at the time you pray and you have merely been inspired by the Spirit to pray thence.
Act 1:7 He answered, “THE FATHER IS THE ONE WHO SETS THE FIXED DATES AND THE TIMES OF THEIR FULFILLMENT. You are not permitted to know the timing of all that he has prepared by his own authority. TPT
Therefore, Baby Jesus had to escape because Herod’s time was not yet over.
In fact, the evil that Herod did thereafter was also Prophetic: he killed baby boys of two years and under.
Mat 2:17-18 Then THE WORDS SPOKEN THROUGH THE PROPHET JEREMIAH CAME TRUE: "A sound was heard in Ramah, the sound of crying in bitter grief. Rachel was crying for her children. She refused to be comforted because THEY WERE DEAD." GW
This is what satan did also in Egypt at time of birth of Baby Moses.
Anytime a “deliverer” is born, demons rise to extinguish his “light”. there must be records of hatred of “Chosen ones”.
Exo 1:22 Finally the king issued a command to all his people: "TAKE EVERY NEWBORN HEBREW BOY AND THROW HIM INTO THE NILE, but let all the girls live." GNB
But when Herod had died and “fulfilled” his time, Jesus could NOW start what He was born for.
Mat 2:19-20 After Herod had died, an angel of the Lord appeared in a dream to Joseph in Egypt saying, “Get up, take the child and his mother, and go to the land of Israel, for those who were seeking the child’s life are dead.” NET
Do you know that demons [seem to] understand these principles of TIME more than some of us?
Mat 8:29 They came to Jesus and shouted, "What do you want with us, Son of God? DID YOU COME HERE TO PUNISH US BEFORE THE RIGHT TIME?" ERV
There are certain levels of demonic operations in the world that is being restrained by God Himself for a TIME.
That time is near now and the antichrist will soon appear and operate.
2Th 2:7-8 The mystery of this sin is already at work. But it cannot work effectively UNTIL the person now HOLDING IT BACK gets out of the way. THEN THE MAN OF SIN WILL BE REVEALED and the Lord Jesus will destroy him by what he says. When the Lord Jesus comes, his appearance will put an end to this man. GW
Again, the central point is that every single event is fixed to happen and have its individual duration and order in relation to other events.
Some events are meant to happen simultaneously.
Act 11:28 And one of them, named Agabus, said publicly through the Spirit that there would be serious need of food all over the earth: which CAME ABOUT IN THE TIME OF CLAUDIUS. BBE
Other fulfilled Prophecies must happen in RELATIVE SEQUENCE to a preceding one and must wait to see the end of the one ahead.
It is important to understand your Time and Season.
Joh 16:6-7 But because I have spoken these things unto you, sorrow hath filled your heart. Nevertheless I tell you the truth; IT IS EXPEDIENT FOR YOU THAT I GO AWAY: FOR IF I GO NOT AWAY, THE COMFORTER WILL NOT COME UNTO YOU; but if I go, I will send him unto you. RV
May God teach us how to Read and wait for our various times, IN JESUS NAME.
Come back on Monday, for more of this insightful and enlightening Sub-Subtopic.
Keep Shinning!

Monday, Twenty Fifth Week in Ordinary Time
(Liturgical Colour: Green: A (1))
First Reading Ezra 1:1-6 Cyrus king of Persia frees the Jews to return to Jerusalem.
In the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, to fulfil the word of the Lord that was spoken through Jeremiah, the Lord roused the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia to issue a proclamation and to have it publicly displayed throughout his kingdom: ‘Thus speaks Cyrus king of Persia, “The Lord, the God of heaven, has given me all the kingdoms of the earth; he has ordered me to build him a Temple in Jerusalem, in Judah. Whoever there is among you of all his people, may his God be with him! Let him go up to Jerusalem in Judah to build the Temple of the Lord, the God of Israel – he is the God who is in Jerusalem. And let each survivor, wherever he lives, be helped by the people of that place with silver and gold, with goods and cattle, as well as voluntary offerings for the Temple of God which is in Jerusalem.”’ Then the heads of families of Judah and of Benjamin, the priests and the Levites, in fact all whose spirit had been roused by God, prepared to go and rebuild the Temple of the Lord in Jerusalem; and all their neighbours gave them every assistance with silver, gold, goods, cattle, quantities of costly gifts and with voluntary offerings of every kind.
The Word of the Lord
R/ Thanks be to God.
Responsorial Psalm Psalm 125(126)
R/ What marvels the Lord worked for us.
When the Lord delivered Zion from bondage, it seemed like a dream. Then was our mouth filled with laughter, on our lips there were songs.
R/ What marvels the Lord worked for us.
The heathens themselves said: ‘What marvels the Lord worked for them!’ What marvels the Lord worked for us! Indeed we were glad.
R/ What marvels the Lord worked for us.
Deliver us, O Lord, from our bondage as streams in dry land. Those who are sowing in tears will sing when they reap.
R/ What marvels the Lord worked for us.
They go out, they go out, full of tears, carrying seed for the sowing: they come back, they come back, full of song, carrying their sheaves.
R/ What marvels the Lord worked for us.

Jesus said to the crowds: ‘No one lights a lamp to cover it with a bowl or to put it under a bed. No, he puts it on a lamp-stand so that people may see the light when they come in. For nothing is hidden but it will be made clear, nothing secret but it will be known and brought to light. So take care how you hear; for anyone who has will be given more; from anyone who has not, even what he thinks he has will be taken away.’

(There is a choice today between the readings for the ferial day (Monday) and those for the memorial. The ferial readings are recommended unless pastoral reasons suggest otherwise)
Either:
First Reading Exodus 32:7-14 Moses pleads with the Lord his God to spare Israel.
The Lord spoke to Moses, ‘Go down now, because your people whom you brought out of Egypt have apostatised. They have been quick to leave the way I marked out for them; they have made themselves a calf of molten metal and have worshipped it and offered it sacrifice. “Here is your God, Israel,” they have cried “who brought you up from the land of Egypt!”’ the Lord said to Moses, ‘I can see how headstrong these people are! Leave me, now, my wrath shall blaze out against them and devour them; of you, however, I will make a great nation.’
But Moses pleaded with the Lord his God. ‘Lord,’ he said ‘why should your wrath blaze out against this people of yours whom you brought out of the land of Egypt with arm outstretched and mighty hand? Why let the Egyptians say, “Ah, it was in treachery that he brought them out, to do them to death in the mountains and wipe them off the face of the earth”? Leave your burning wrath; relent and do not bring this disaster on your people. Remember Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, your servants to whom by your own self you swore and made this promise: I will make your offspring as many as the stars of heaven, and all this land which I promised I will give to your descendants, and it shall be their heritage for ever.’ So the Lord relented and did not bring on his people the disaster he had threatened.

First reading Deuteronomy 10:8-9 The Lord set apart the tribe of Levi to do him service
Moses said to the people: ‘The Lord set apart the tribe of Levi to carry the ark of the Lord’s covenant, to stand in the presence of the Lord, to do him service and in his name to pronounce blessing as they still do today. Levi therefore has no share or inheritance with his brothers: the Lord is his inheritance, as the Lord your God told him.’

First reading 1 Samuel 16:1,6-13 David is anointed by Samuel
The Lord said to Samuel, ‘Fill your horn with oil and go. I am sending you to Jesse of Bethlehem, for I have chosen myself a king among his sons.’ Samuel purified Jesse and his sons and invited them to the sacrifice. When they arrived, he caught sight of Eliab and thought, ‘Surely the Lord’s anointed one stands there before him’, but the Lord said to Samuel, ‘Take no notice of his appearance or his height for I have rejected him; God does not see as man sees; man looks at appearances but the Lord looks at the heart.’ Jesse then called Abinadab and presented him to Samuel, who said, ‘The Lord has not chosen this one either.’ Jesse then presented Shammah, but Samuel said, ‘The Lord has not chosen this one either.’ Jesse presented his seven sons to Samuel, but Samuel said to Jesse, ‘The Lord has not chosen these.’ He then asked Jesse, ‘Are these all the sons you have?’ He answered, ‘There is still one left, the youngest; he is out looking after the sheep.’ Then Samuel said to Jesse, ‘Send for him; we will not sit down to eat until he comes.’ Jesse had him sent for, a boy of fresh complexion, with fine eyes and pleasant bearing. The Lord said, ‘Come, anoint him, for this is the one.’ At this, Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him where he stood with his brothers; and the spirit of the Lord seized on David and stayed with him from that day on.

First reading Isaiah 6:1-2,3-8 'Here I am: send me'
In the year of King Uzziah’s death I saw the Lord of Hosts seated on a high throne; his train filled the sanctuary; above him stood seraphs, each one with six wings. And they cried out to one another in this way,
‘Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of Hosts. His glory fills the whole earth.’
The foundations of the threshold shook with the voice of the one who cried out, and the Temple was filled with smoke. I said:
‘What a wretched state I am in! I am lost, for I am a man of unclean lips and I live among a people of unclean lips, and my eyes have looked at the King, the Lord of Hosts.’
Then one of the seraphs flew to me, holding in his hand a live coal which he had taken from the altar with a pair of tongs. With this he touched my mouth and said:
‘See now, this has touched your lips, your sin is taken away, your iniquity is purged.’
Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying:
‘Whom shall I send? Who will be our messenger?’
I answered, ‘Here I am, send me.’

First reading Isaiah 52:7-10 Rejoice, for the Lord is consoling his people
How beautiful on the mountains, are the feet of one who brings good news, who heralds peace, brings happiness, proclaims salvation, and tells Zion, ‘Your God is king!’
Listen! Your watchmen raise their voices, they shout for joy together, for they see the Lord face to face, as he returns to Zion.
Break into shouts of joy together, you ruins of Jerusalem; for the Lord is consoling his people, redeeming Jerusalem.
The Lord bares his holy arm in the sight of all the nations, and all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of our God.

First reading Isaiah 61:1-3 He has sent me to proclaim a year of favour from the Lord
The spirit of the Lord has been given to me, for the Lord has anointed me. He has sent me to bring good news to the poor, to bind up hearts that are broken;
to proclaim liberty to captives, freedom to those in prison; to proclaim a year of favour from the Lord, a day of vengeance for our God,
to comfort all those who mourn and to give them for ashes a garland; for mourning robe the oil of gladness, for despondency, praise.

First reading Jeremiah 1:4-9 Go and say whatever I command you and do not fear
The word of the Lord was addressed to me, saying,
‘Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; before you came to birth I consecrated you; I have appointed you as prophet to the nations.’
I said, ‘Ah, Lord; look, I do not know how to speak: I am a child!’
But the Lord replied, ‘Do not say, “I am a child.” Go now to those to whom I send you and, say whatever I command you. Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you to protect you – it is the Lord who speaks!’
Then the Lord put out his hand and touched my mouth and said to me:
‘There! I am putting my words into your mouth.’

First reading Ezekiel 3:17-21 Warn the wicked man, and you will live
The word of the Lord was addressed to me as follows, ‘Son of man, I have appointed you as sentry to the House of Israel. Whenever you hear a word from me, warn them in my Name. If I say to a wicked man, “You are to die,” and you do not warn him; if you do not speak and warn him to renounce his evil ways and so live, then he shall die for his sin, but I will hold you responsible for his death. If, however, you do warn a wicked man and he does not renounce his wickedness and his evil ways, then he shall die for his sin, but you yourself will have saved your life. When the upright man renounces his integrity to do evil and I set a trap for him, he too shall die; since you failed to warn him, he shall die for his sin and the integrity he practised will no longer be remembered; but I will hold you responsible for his death. If, however, you warn the upright man not to sin and he abstains from sinning, he shall live, thanks to your warning, and you too will have saved your life.’

First reading Ezekiel 34:11-16 I will look after my flock myself and keep all of it in view
The Lord God says this: I am going to look after my flock myself and keep all of it in view. As a shepherd keeps all his flock in view when he stands up in the middle of his scattered sheep, so shall I keep my sheep in view. I shall rescue them from wherever they have been scattered during the mist and darkness. I shall bring them out of the countries where they are; I shall gather them together from foreign countries and bring them back to their own land. I shall pasture them on the mountains of Israel, in the ravines and in every inhabited place in the land. I shall feed them in good pasturage; the high mountains of Israel will be their grazing ground. There they will rest in good grazing ground; they will browse in rich pastures on the mountains of Israel. I myself will pasture my sheep, I myself will show them where to rest – it is the Lord who speaks. I shall look for the lost one, bring back the stray, bandage the wounded and make the weak strong. I shall watch over the fat and healthy. I shall be a true shepherd to them.
Responsorial Psalm Psalm 88(89):2-5,21-22,25,27
I will sing for ever of your love, O Lord.
I will sing for ever of your love, O Lord; through all ages my mouth will proclaim your truth. Of this I am sure, that your love lasts for ever, that your truth is firmly established as the heavens.
I will sing for ever of your love, O Lord.
‘I have made a covenant with my chosen one; I have sworn to David my servant: I will establish your dynasty for ever and set up your throne through all ages.
I will sing for ever of your love, O Lord.
‘I have found David my servant and with my holy oil anointed him. My hand shall always be with him and my arm shall make him strong.
I will sing for ever of your love, O Lord.
‘My truth and my love shall be with him; by my name his might shall be exalted. He will say to me: “You are my father, my God, the rock who saves me.”’
I will sing for ever of your love, O Lord.

Gospel Matthew 9:35-37 The harvest is rich but the labourers are few
Jesus made a tour through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the Good News of the kingdom and curing all kinds of diseases and sickness. And when he saw the crowds he felt sorry for them because they were harassed and dejected, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, ‘The harvest is rich but the labourers are few, so ask the Lord of the harvest to send labourers to his harvest.’

Gospel Matthew 16:13-19 You are Peter and on this rock I will build my Church
When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi he put this question to his disciples, ‘Who do people say the Son of Man is?’ And they said, ‘Some say he is John the Baptist, some Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.’ ‘But you,’ he said ‘who do you say I am?’ Then Simon Peter spoke up, ‘You are the Christ,’ he said ‘the Son of the living God.’ Jesus replied, ‘Simon son of Jonah, you are a happy man! Because it was not flesh and blood that revealed this to you but my Father in heaven. So I now say to you: You are Peter and on this rock I will build my Church. And the gates of the underworld can never hold out against it. I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven: whatever you bind on earth shall be considered bound in heaven; whatever you loose on earth shall be considered loosed in heaven.’

Gospel Matthew 23:8-12 The greatest among you must be your servant
Jesus said to his disciples, ‘You must not allow yourselves to be called Rabbi, since you have only one master, and you are all brothers. You must call no one on earth your father, since you have only one Father, and he is in heaven. Nor must you allow yourselves to be called teachers, for you have only one Teacher, the Christ. The greatest among you must be your servant. Anyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and anyone who humbles himself will exalted.’

Gospel Matthew 28:16-20 Go and make disciples of all nations
The eleven disciples set out for Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had arranged to meet them. When they saw him they fell down before him, though some hesitated. Jesus came up and spoke to them. He said, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go, therefore, make disciples of all the nations; baptise them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teach them to observe all the commands I gave you. And know that I am with you always; yes, to the end of time.’
OR: --------
Gospel Mark 1:14-20 I will make you into fishers of men
After John had been arrested, Jesus went into Galilee. There he proclaimed the Good News from God. ‘The time has come’ he said ‘and the kingdom of God is close at hand. Repent, and believe the Good News.’ As he was walking along by the Sea of Galilee he saw Simon and his brother Andrew casting a net in the lake – for they were fishermen. And Jesus said to them, ‘Follow me and I will make you into fishers of men.’ And at once they left their nets and followed him. Going on a little further, he saw James son of Zebedee and his brother John; they too were in their boat, mending their nets. He called them at once and, leaving their father Zebedee in the boat with the men he employed, they went after him.
OR: --------
Gospel Mark 16:15-20 Go out to the whole world; proclaim the Good News
Jesus showed himself to the Eleven and said to them: ‘Go out to the whole world; proclaim the Good News to all creation. He who believes and is baptised will be saved; he who does not believe will be condemned. These are the signs that will be associated with believers: in my name they will cast out devils; they will have the gift of tongues; they will pick up snakes in their hands, and be unharmed should they drink deadly poison; they will lay their hands on the sick, who will recover.’ And so the Lord Jesus, after he had spoken to them, was taken up into heaven: there at the right hand of God he took his place, while they, going out, preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word by the signs that accompanied it.
OR: --------
Gospel Luke 5:1-11 They left everything and followed him
Jesus was standing one day by the Lake of Gennesaret, with the crowd pressing round him listening to the word of God, when he caught sight of two boats close to the bank. The fishermen had gone out of them and were washing their nets. He got into one of the boats – it was Simon’s – and asked him to put out a little from the shore. Then he sat down and taught the crowds from the boat. When he had finished speaking he said to Simon, ‘Put out into deep water and pay out your nets for a catch.’ ‘Master,’ Simon replied, ‘we worked hard all night long and caught nothing, but if you say so, I will pay out the nets.’ And when they had done this they netted such a huge number of fish that their nets began to tear, so they signalled to their companions in the other boat to come and help them; when these came, they filled the two boats to sinking point. When Simon Peter saw this he fell at the knees of Jesus saying, ‘Leave me, Lord; I am a sinful man.’ For he and all his companions were completely overcome by the catch they had made; so also were James and John, sons of Zebedee, who were Simon’s partners. But Jesus said to Simon, ‘Do not be afraid; from now on it is men you will catch.’ Then, bringing their boats back to land, they left everything and followed him.

Gospel Luke 10:1-9 Your peace will rest on that man
The Lord appointed seventy-two others and sent them out ahead of him, in pairs, to all the towns and places he himself was to visit. He said to them, ‘The harvest is rich but the labourers are few, so ask the Lord of the harvest to send labourers to his harvest. Start off now, but remember, I am sending you out like lambs among wolves. Carry no purse, no haversack, no sandals. Salute no one on the road. Whatever house you go into, let your first words be, “Peace to this house!” And if a man of peace lives there, your peace will go and rest on him; if not, it will come back to you. Stay in the same house, taking what food and drink they have to offer, for the labourer deserves his wages; do not move from house to house. Whenever you go into a town where they make you welcome, eat what is set before you. Cure those in it who are sick, and say, “The kingdom of God is very near to you.”’
OR: --------
Gospel Luke 22:24-30 I confer a kingdom on you, just as the Father conferred one on me
A dispute arose between the disciples about which should be reckoned the greatest, but Jesus said to them: ‘Among pagans it is the kings who lord it over them, and those who have authority over them are given the title Benefactor. This must not happen with you. No; the greatest among you must behave as if he were the youngest, the leader as if he were the one who serves. For who is the greater: the one at table or the one who serves? The one at table, surely? Yet here am I among you as one who serves! ‘You are the men who have stood by me faithfully in my trials; and now I confer a kingdom on you, just as my Father conferred one on me: you will eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and you will sit on thrones to judge the twelve tribes of Israel.’
OR: --------
Gospel John 10:11-16 The good shepherd is one who lays down his life for his sheep
Jesus said:
‘I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd is one who lays down his life for his sheep. The hired man, since he is not the shepherd and the sheep do not belong to him, abandons the sheep and runs away as soon as he sees a wolf coming, and then the wolf attacks and scatters the sheep; this is because he is only a hired man and has no concern for the sheep.
‘I am the good shepherd; I know my own and my own know me, just as the Father knows me and I know the Father; and I lay down my life for my sheep. And there are other sheep I have that are not of this fold, and these I have to lead as well. They too will listen to my voice, and there will be only one flock, and one shepherd.’

Gospel John 15:9-17 You are my friends if you do what I command you
Jesus said to his disciples:
‘As the Father has loved me, so I have loved you. Remain in my love. If you keep my commandments you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commandments and remain in his love. I have told you this so that my own joy may be in you and your joy be complete. This is my commandment: love one another, as I have loved you. A man can have no greater love than to lay down his life for his friends. You are my friends, if you do what I command you. I shall not call you servants any more, because a servant does not know his master’s business; I call you friends, because I have made known to you everything I have learnt from my Father. You did not choose me: no, I chose you; and I commissioned you to go out and to bear fruit, fruit that will last; and then the Father will give you anything you ask him in my name. What I command you is to love one another.’
Or:
Gospel John 21:15-17 Feed my lambs, feed my sheep.
Jesus showed himself to his disciples, and after they had eaten he said to Simon Peter, ‘Simon son of John, do you love me more than these others do?’ He answered, ‘Yes Lord, you know I love you.’ Jesus said to him, ‘Feed my lambs.’ A second time he said to him, ‘Simon son of John, do you love me?’ He replied, ‘Yes, Lord, you know I love you.’ Jesus said to him, ‘Look after my sheep.’ Then he said to him a third time, ‘Simon son of John, do you love me?’ Peter was upset that he asked him the third time, ‘Do you love me?’ and said, ‘Lord, you know everything; you know I love you.’ Jesus said to him, ‘Feed my sheep.’
