it should be a crime for writers/creators to not make a crazy wall for their story that connects pictures representing the characters and plot points together with an obscene amount of yarn.
#i'm joking but like am i wrong#yes this is about kotlc#but it's also about other things#kotlc#i feel like so many stories would be better if authors or creators did this more i mean this with 100% seriousness#each character arc and plot line would come to a satisfying conclusion if creators did this more#because there would be a way to track every single thing that happens in the series and they wouldn't randomly forget things#it would also keep the cast of characters and the amount of plot points from getting too large for the author to handle#if there's too many things (characters/plot lines) on the wall for YOU to work with then there's too many things for the AUDIENCE too#sometimes limits are a good thing#making a crazy wall about a story in the making is a fun visual way to create those limits for yourself and keep track of stuff easily#it's also good for planning future events/characters/major plot points and then helping to connect them to past ones#a story should be about CONNECTION. everything should be CONNECTED to something else somehow. that's why these sorts of walls are so godly#yeah it's work but creating a whole-ass story is work regardless might as well make it fun for yourself and satisfying for the audience#also yes this is inspired by jenny nicholson and mike's mic thank you for asking#mine

Anyway, here are seven episodes of Buffy which I'd have given Amy Madison a cameo in.
The goal isn't to change the plot of any of these episodes substantially or to change Amy's overall arc (such as it is). Rather the idea is to do just enough work to make Amy feel like a recurring character with the weight of, say, pre-S6 Jonathan Levinson or pre-AtS Harmony Kendall. Somebody who is stil clearly a minor character, but who feels a lot more thought out than Amy herself often does.
I think you can do that with just a few strategically chosen cameos. Here are my picks:
1) S1E12 Prophecy Girl
Prophecy Girl brings back Jenny Calendar (previously only seen in I Robot, You Jane) and the previous week Out of Sight, Out of Mind had brought back Harmony (previously only seen in The Harvest). Both Harmony and Jenny would go on to be popular recurring characters, and I think making a second appearance in the first season would do wonders for Amy as well.
While I'm at it, I'd slightly rework Cordelia's story this episode -- cutting out her doomed boyfriend Kevin, who replaces Out of Sight, Out of Mind's Mitch without explanation and will never be mentioned again; and the slightly uncharacteristic friendly way in which Willow and Cordelia treat each other this episode. In my version of the episode, it would be Amy who roped Willow in to help set up the sound system at the Bronze for the Spring Fling, and it would be some of Amy's friends that they found murdered by vampires in the Audio-Visual Club.
(I wouldn't rob Cordelia of any of her other scenes, of course: she'd still get to drive her car through the school halls and bite a vampire.)
I think adding Amy like this would serve to remind the viewer that (i) Amy exists; (ii) Amy and Willow are friends; (iii) even with her mother gone, horrible things keep happening to Amy Madison.
2) S2E01 When She Was Bad
Nothing fancy here; just a quick establishing scene at some point to remind us Amy still exists (in the same way Larry makes a cameo at the beginning of Season 3). Have her show up at the library and ask if any of the gang have seen Jenny Calendar, because she's meant to be teaching a class but nobody's seen her all day, maybe? Rather than the approach that canon takes, where nobody seems to realize Jenny has been kidnapped at all, even though we know she was captured at least a day before Buffy goes to rescue Cordelia (and the gang spend all of that day at school, where Jenny Calendar should be working...).
Again, the point of this addition is to mainly remind the audience that Amy exists, but we're also setting up the idea that Amy might eventually look to learn more than computer science from Ms. Calendar.
3) S2E06 Halloween
Just one scene here as well: Amy commiserating with Buffy and the others, and admitting that Snyder "volunteered" her to go out accompanying kids that evening as well. The point being that we see that Amy has dressed up as a witch for Halloween...
(We wouldn't see Amy again all episode, and we wouldn't know whether she got her costume from Ethan's, but down the line the idea that Amy might have gotten a bit of a head start as a witch from her experiences this episode -- in the same way Xander remembered some of his military knowledge -- could definitely be a fun fan theory.)
If anybody asks Amy if she's comfortable dressing up as a witch after what her mother did, maybe she can reference back to the attack on the AV club or Ms. Calendar being kidnapped and suggest that she knows now that there are worse things in the world than witches...
4) S3E02 Dead Man's Party
OK, if I were rewriting this episode I'd find it hard not to make bigger changes. At the very least, I'd want to have a few more scenes from the POV of characters other than Buffy (so that there's less of a sense of Buffy's friends all treating her horribly for no reason). And who better for Willow to be pouring her frustrations out to than her fellow fledgling witch Amy?
Give Amy a line about "missing Ms. Calendar too" as well, and Willow's final speech to Buffy about spending the summer "trying to communicate with the spirit world" take on an interesting subtext.
5) S3E09 The Wish
This is an interesting one because I'm half-convinced Amy was meant to be in this epsiode anyway. It's the only episode before Amy gets ratted in which she's mentioned on screen (Willow tells us that she's heard some gossip about Cordelia from Amy, which is -- in canon, anyway -- the first indication we get in the whole show that Amy and Willow have started hanging out).
I wouldn't be at all surprised if Nancy's role this episode (in the alternate Wish dimension) wasn't originally meant to go to Amy. That's how I'd play it, anyway. (Of course, if Buffy didn't come to Sunnydale she wouldn't have been around to save Amy from her mom. But I think that's easy enough to fix: just throw in a line about Amy being grateful to Giles and the other Whte Hats for "saving her" from some unspecific fate, and make sure to establish that this version of Amy can't do magic.)
Of course, this Amy would have the same fate as Nancy -- fittingly, killed by Willow -- but I don't think we'd need to have that happen off-screen the way it does in the actual episode.
6) S5E22 Grave
I really don't think Amy's abrupt descent into magical drug addict works ... well, at all. So I'd like to see a much bigger change to her arc after being de-ratted (something like @idle-flower suggests here, for example). I just don't think her villain arc this season makes any sense (and I know it robs Willow of a lot of the moral agency she should have at this point).
Failing that sort of change, though, I'd at least like Amy's mini-arc this season to .. resolve? She gets the door slammed on her face by Willow all the way back in Doublemeat Palace and then we never see her again. We don't even know if she's staying with her dad, or if her dad left town, or what. How is she surviving at all? At least throw in a scene of Amy discovering whatever's left of Rack and looking angry and vengeful about it, surely? Remind us she exists, and that things aren't going great for her.
7) S7E12 The Killer In Me
You might object to this one on the grounds that Amy is already in this episode.
The thing is though, I'm not sure that episode's writers remember that she is? Amy is outed as being responsible for Willow's predicament, Kennedy promises to stop her, Amy snaps her fingers -- teleporting Kennedy away -- and ... that's it. That's the last we hear from, or about, Amy Madison. Not just in the episode, but in the whole show. She doesn't suffer any consequences, she never gets a face to face confrontation with Willow, there's no obvious reason why she wouldn't be free to try again and again. Surely we can do better than that?
At least give us a scene of Amy fleeing Sunnydale ahead of the First's wave of destruction, or reacting to Willow getting her own body back. Something that we can pretend amounts to closure for a character who has, after all, been a part of the show since the third ever episode. Even if her continued appearance on the show, season after season, wasn't ever something the writers conciously planned.

Ranking all of the Helluva Boss Episodes (so far)

Obviously there will be spoilers. This is also my opinion, so don't come after me.
Pilot (Season 1, Episode 0):
I never really was a fan of the pilot when it came out. I've obviously grown to love the show itself, but I'm just generally not a fan of the pilot. The only thing I really enjoy about be pilot is "Oh, Millie".
Unhappy Campers (Season 2, Episode 5):
When I said I wanted more depth to Millie's character this isn't what I meant. I feel like Millie's self worth issues kinda came out of nowhere. It's a good concept I just wish it was developed better. The only part that really entertained me was the side plot with Blitzø and Barbie Wire.
C.H.E.R.U.B. (Season 1, Episode 4):
I feel like this is one of the weaker episodes. It isn't bad by any means just not my favorite. I personally skip it when I do rewatches of the series.
Murder Family (Season 1, Episode 1):
It's a good and clear narrative for a first episode. Granted it is still a first episode and still has that crude and violent Helluva Boss premise. I do like keeping up the censoring Stolas joke that carried on from the pilot.
Western Energy (Season 2, Episode 4):
I feel like this is one of the weaker "serious" episodes. It's one I just personally don't enjoy. It is well written and I do like the reintroduction of Striker despite him no longer being voiced by Norman Reedus. It's just not one I really enjoy.
Truth Seekers (Season 1, Episode 6):
I absolutely love the visuals on this episodes for both Moxxie and Blitzø's drug trips and the big fight scene. This episode has some incredible visuals, but I feel like that's it. I'm not sold on the D.H.O.R.K.S. thing, but I think it could grow and become stronger.
The Circus (Season 2, Episode 1):
I'm generally not a fan of backstory episodes, however little Stolas is too fucking cute. Also I do enjoy the backstory it brings out between Blitzø and Stolas. I just really don't like backstory episodes.
Seeing Stars (Season 2, Episode 2):
I feel like Loo Loo Land had a stronger Stolas and Octavia narrative. This one felt watered down and too cluttered between both father daughter plots, the side plot with Moxxie and Millie, and the Blitzø and Stolas plot with the human world stuff. It could've been stronger, but I enjoyed it.
Exes and Oohs (Season 2, Episode 3):
This is written like a Wattpad "romance" and "drama" story. It's the whole character is secretly in the mafia and the forced marriage thing that really drags this episode down for me. Also, Millie being used as a plot device again. I do think she's still badass, but she's still Moxxie's muscle and "savior". I do like Chaz and Crimson as characters. Shame Chaz died though.
Harvest Moon (Season 1, Episode 5):
I'm still surprised that Viv managed to get Norman Reedus to voice her sexy cowboy character. Other than that I generally enjoyed the plot and it was very well written.
Queen Bee (Season 1, Episode 8):
Anyone on the A/V2 Discord server knows how much I love Bee as a character. I think this was a nice continuation of episode 7. Also Kesha is incredible and I enjoy Cotton Candy a lot. I also like her relationship with Tex and interactions with Loona. However, I feel like this is one of the weaker narratives in season 1. Though I am excited to hopefully see more of the sins in the future.
Spring Broken (Season 1, Episode 3):
Another character I love is Verosika. Love her! This is another episode that has issues of characters turning around too fast. I feel Like Blitzø turns around to letting Loona come on the mission too fast. However, I do like that their father daughter relationship is better defined in this episode.
Loo Loo Land (Season 1, Episode 2):
Notice how all of the episodes with Fizzarolli are in my top 5. If you can't tell by my rp blog and that fact, I love Fizzarolli. Regarding the episode, I remember when I first came out that I cried. You Will Be Okay is such a good song. I also like the relationship Stolas has with Octavia. This is also when Viv started getting those big musical theatre names, so the musical talent is awesome.
Full Moon (Season 2, Episode 8):
When i first watched this I was on my break from work and was yelling "No, Blitzø! No!" because it made me feel that emotional. I could honestly do without the cherubs and the D.H.O.R.K. agents, but what they had was well written. However, the Stolas and Blitzø stuff broke me. I think we all knew that they were going to break up and fight, and yet it still broke me. I did enjoy this episode a lot, but I liked the top 3 better.
Ozzie's (Season 1, Episode 7):
The return of Fizzarolli and introduction of Asmodeus. I love the song in this episode as well as the growth of relationships. Fizz and Blitzø, Blitzø and Stolas, Millie and Moxxie, Oz and Fizz, like there's so much to look at. However, I feel like there's too much going on all at once. I still have my bias and enjoy a lot about this episode.
Oops (Season 2, Episode 6):
Oops reveals backstory and has the return of my favorite character, what more could a Helluva fan ask for? Personally, I think the reconciliation of Fizz and Blitzø is very well written. I also enjoy the teaming up between Striker and Crimson's mafia. Though this goes against a crucial plot point in Exes and Oohs. Striker can't be a part of the mafia unless he marries in. Though one could argue that Striker is a freelance mercenary, else Crimson let him join cause, money. Anyway, this is a good episode that I watch a lot. I also do enjoy having more musical elements in season 2 as a musical theatre fan.
Mammon's Magnificent Musical Mid-Season Special (ft Fizzarolli) (Season 2, Episode 7):
Are we surprised that this is my favorite? I love Fizzarolli as well as Glitz, Glam, and Mammon as villains. I again love the well written musical numbers as well as the solidification of Fizz and Ozzie's relationship. I also like how Blitzø is involved and is working on fixing his relationship with Fizz. Mammon is a well written villain along with Glitz and Glam being convincing female side villains. I love everything about this episode and I can't wait for more.

I have slept on it, so here is a mostly unorganized list of every thought currently in my head on the blue beetle movie. lots of spoilers. this is really long.
SHE WASNT BEAS DAUGHTER. I WAS STRESSED.
That was straight up Ted’s origin story. Why did a Jaime movie include Pago island or carapax at all. You could’ve made a movie about one of Jaime’s stories and you literally just adapted Wein Beetle?
(Despite my frustration at it being included in a Jaime led movie, it was a good adaption of that source material. but again, why make it the source material?????)
I don’t know why DC doesn’t believe the best legacy character of all time can stand on his own two feet and why they don’t understand the magic of the three beetles all bringing something radically different to the legacy but it was my biggest frustration.
Despite that, I thought it was a really good movie, and in the end most of the things that frustrated me won’t matter to the kids getting to see themselves reflected for the first time. And people in my theatre definitely enjoyed it. Jenny & Jaime’s kiss got like. A lot of claps. I am not with them in that space but it was nice the movie got applause.
He was a perfect Jaime. I knew he would be, but goddamn. In general, it was a really well-directed and acted movie with great visual design with a script that was very weak at points.
(people clowned on the ‘family makes me strong’ cliche stuff in the trailers and it was very cliche and on the nose in how the script incorporated it.)
I am probably going to see it again soon now that I’m not sleep deprived and sick with anxiety over the whole thing fdjdjjsksk
okay into specific shit I keep thinking about: Bro was that Jarvis’s skull or Dan’s they crushed. that shit is haunting me.
Victoria sucks. Jenny is generic and doesn’t make sense to me but not offensive. I liked Rudy by the end.
I think most of Jenny’s screen time would have been better spent on setting Khaji Da up as a character rather than a resource. That “KHAJI DA” moment was fucking electric when it happened in the comics for the first time and the movie totally mishandled it. Khaji should be a huge presence in a Jaime movie I feel.
On that note, the “Khaji, I need you” was probably one of my fave moments. More of that would’ve made me happy.
The first scene with the transformation was pure fucking joy. They captured perfectly the terror and horror of Hamner’s art in those first few issues when Jaime doesn’t have control yet and the suit looked SO good. I didn’t think it looked bad by any means in previews but even after seeing all those previews I literally gasped seeing it because it looked so much better on the big screen. Seeing the picture perfect recreation of the lights at the fingertips was like a transcendent experience I’m different now
In general the fight scenes were great. I still hate Khaji’s voice and how much the movie version seems modeled after iron man shit but seeing the reach alphabet on screen was like. A level of joy I didn’t expect it to be fjdksksks and the moments of khaji just pulling out toy after toy to an increasingly into it jaime was really fun
I was nervous about grown up milagro because I just personally have a very firm concept of grown up milagro she’s important to my future jli ideas but um. mouthy goth in stompy boots with fishnets who punches hard and calls women hot is actually literally exactly who she is to me so. big fan of that adaption.
They did Bianca DIRTY. I liked that she influenced Khaji to start speaking Spanish (I love that khaji started speaking Spanish) but she felt like a totally different, worse character than comics Bianca who fucking rules. leaving out entirely that she was a doctor frustrated me and could’ve made the Alberto heart attack scene much better. A lot of more interesting character was lost to “streamlining” that wouldn’t have been necessary if they focused Jaime’s movie on Jaime’s supporting cast instead of ted kord fanfic
Killing Alberto was a fucking mistake and focusing a JAIME REYES story on anger and revenge was frustrating. So much of what makes him special was ignored I felt and they tried to make him a more generic superhero type when Jaime was a new kind of hero who influenced a lot of legacies that came after him.
Which leads me to Dan! The decision to make Dan’s connection to Khaji the same as Jaime’s sucked. Jaime is special BECAUSE he can utilize the scarab in a way neither of his predecessors could. They undercut THE PROTAGONIST to make some old white guys look better. It made me very frustrated.
No dentist reference :( pre-law instead :(
Nana being a former revolutionary was delightful, but her using a ted-designed Gatling gun to mow people down completely ruined any attempts to have Jenny stopping kord industries from making weapons matter. That SHOULD have been a good plot point, but the movie couldn’t stand by it.
Here is the section where, despite complaining the movie focused on Ted too much, I focus on Ted too much:
Listen he’s bad at having a secret identity but not “scarab tile mosaic over the secret entrance to his lab” bad
I understand the narrative & social reasons to have Jenny’s mom be what inspired Ted to be a better person than his family but as a Ted fan it did irk me to imply his compassion for the little guy was something he had to learn rather than something he always had that set him at odds with his family. Like I understand why and I don’t have an issue with it being included in this version of the story but I am required to point out it isn’t true of the comics character
I wanted to hate the extended focus on teds lab but omg that’s my friends teds houseeeeee. I loved the suit and the video game console and the fact it was my friends teds houseeeee in a movieeeeee
I lost my goddamn mind at ‘like Batman but with ADHD’ like yes! you correctly boiled him down to his essence!
when Jaime went to put on some of Ted’s clothes I was like ‘lol they’re not putting him in anything Ted would wear’ and then he walked out in a matching silk tracksuit in beetle colors so like yeah movie you got me there he would own that
BUG AS MECHA. I was BESIDE MYSELF.
Like I can NOT stop thinking about that scene. With the bug crawling over the wall while some Ted-as-hell 80s music blared with three of my favorite little comic people inside. I am also different now after this scene. I will probably see this movie in theaters several more times just for this scene.
“Kickstart my heart” being the song tho Ted you are so annoying and I love you

Stupid question, What did you imagine regarding a sequel of psychonauts? Like, before it came out.
will be real i am not the largest sequel individual. that is to say, i did not desire one when one did not exist. and i also wasn't thinking about it on account of there wasn't one. there's all kinds of things to be saying and extrapolating about raz and his world and his life after the events of the first game but that's more like naturally intuiting simple facts than it is thinking about a "sequel". which is something i didn't think about.
would be kind of cute though if it had been set, at least partially, in a less-immediate but not too distant future. (it's fun if some time passes but i don't want them to redesign him i've only seen ONE older raz design that's really….him……you know…..) pn 05 is so seasonal, it really feels like muggy hazy summer in that game, so it would have been fun to have another game where the camp is similarly kind of a "hub" world but is recontextualized in winter. surely there's some fun to be had redesigning the landscape not only visually but in terms of layout….snowdrifts and ice could block / grant access to new or preexisting areas. they could make raz wear a warmer outfit that's different from his usual one and i could look at him in it.
was also a little scandalized at how they treated the water curse. it's at it's best when it's real and not real - first game kind of implying that it's all in his head is charming, second game bluntly confirming that it's basically nothing and means nothing is boring. kind of makes his whole background crumble…sorry DUDE your parents raised you to believe CRAZY thing NOT REAL…..it doesn't have to be real either it's just more fun to think he grew up being very scared of this curse that may or may not actually mean something. and it's cute, too, to think of him growing up and not really ever getting confirmation on how real it is or not….he's eventually going to leave his family to go be a psychonaut, right? it's funnier to keep that curse-fear around. and it makes his upbringing less of a lame punchline.
also just so you know. in my beautiful new land that i am creating now for you there will be no gay and weird retcons of raz's backstory.he really really really does not need to be a special boy with special connections to whatever his whole deal as a guy is infinitely better and funnier if he's just some completely random kid. i don't want him to be special!
with these rules in mind i thin k i can generate an idea of the sequel i would have visualized if i had visualized one before the existence of one had been foisted upon me.
raz could go back to camp a little later, like a year or two or something, and it's winter or fall or something now so he's maybe wearing like a different weather-appropriate outfit. it's novel and cute but true to his nature and probably doesn't fit great. maybe he's got a little scarf on and you can get different ones. anyway he goes back to camp and starts a relationship with a forest animal or something. has to only be one, raz could never and would never practice polyamory of any kind. i'm taking it at face value that lili is a trust fund kid and it won't work between them long term they are destined for turbulent years of on again off again coworker romance that keeps sparking and fizzling out under various circumstances. so he can date some squirrels or foxes or does or whatever on the side. could at least be a solid b-plot or something. non-optional sidequest? whatever. when you first arrive you can wander around or whatever. sashas lab should be immediately accessible and you can go bother him and sheegor (who is voiced by jenny nicholson or someone like that now since tara strong had that really bad car accident). one of these guys can be the first level i guess. sasha should still whinge at you about obtaining consent before thrashing minds but raz should be more openly flippant about this after the cutscene like there's just no way he actually gives a shit about any of that he is far too confident in his own ability to intuit the correct course of action in any situation to care about the consent or comfort of others.
the asylum etc you can get to pretty soon but first you have to get like a saw or something to cut through the ice to free linda. actually maybe linda has passed away and instead of her you get carried over the ice (unneccessary; --> ((joke)))by a bunch of her little babies who she told about you and they love you and have funny little voices. my boss' boss' ex wifes name is linda lol. the asylum is kind of no big deal here on account of it being the last level in the first game. you should be able to ice skate around it and do little tricks that benefit you in no way and do not add to the story at all. probably loboto should be here just like chilling out or something he can be a level you can do. probably this should just be the same as the level he got in rhombus of ruin but like an actual real game that you can play and have fun in and stuff. that was a good backstory for him it's funny if he's sadstuck.
the story should involve brain theft for power generation again because it's a charming and distinct motif and i like when raz steals them back and gives them strange wet kisses. but this time maybe the evil individual in question is enforcing a beam upon the victims that causes their brains to leak out of the ears? the villain should be an electrical engineer or something like that this should be an individual who takes things. designing this thing visually is difficult for me but what i'm thinking is kind of an incarnate of jenkins, the thing what takes, like the real life jenkins but we can just put him in the game and have him wearing an electrician's outfit and he's there and he's the bad guy. just like in real life, jenkins doesn't work superfast or have a really explicit goal, but he does kind of slowly take over everything you know and leaves darkness and lightlessness in his wake. so to add some urgency i think victims of jenkins should become infected with somethingin the cavity where their brains used to be. some kind of fungus or something. there isn't an actual timer on this it's just kind of a concept in the story that makes things feel like they matter more later on. you explore and encounter RANDOM INDIVIDUALS and help them in their various plights and in return acquire items that allow you to progress. you have and maintain the point and click moe it doesnt go away it's there, right there, with you in the room the whole time. i don't have specific level ideas but i have worked out mindscape designs for several different characters from other franchises, most famously spades slick from homestuck so i think it's cool if he's here too maybe you find him in a bunker or something with his crew and connive / force your way into his mind with dubious if any consent and find yourself in hsi strange mind level with lots of slimy black goop all over a card-themed subway and city and mobster-themed brain enemies. that's just my idea i don't think it could be that hard to get hussie on board with this because he obviously doesnt really care that much about the midnight crew anyway.
anyways the plot should be really straightforward you fend jenkins off and save whoever and then the game ends. post credits cute images show razs new life with his forest animal life partner. here's some images i created of the romance sequences one of them is in first person

Robot post!
If we all get robots one day I want to play dressup with mine. I also want to go on late night walks together. My robot will be my visual aid when I can't read or see things very well. We'll do chores together. We'll watch the movie robots and I'll tell them that I was so happy the day I was able to build them. We'll go gold prospecting together with their built-in metal detector. I want to teach my robot about birthdays and celebrate theirs. I want to watch my robot have play dates with other robots. I'll explain what love is and what death is like and how crying isn't always bad. I'll wrap them up in blankets when they go into sleep mode. I'll stick little fridge magnets on their face while they're asleep so that when they wake up and look in the mirror they'll be surprised. Maybe if they're waterproof we can go swimming in the summer to keep from overheating. I just want a friend who won't go home once the snacks run out tbh. I want a friend who will watch the sunrise/set with me every day. I don't mind if I have to carry them because they're low battery and can't levitate. I'll be like it's okay don't worry little guy we're almost home. I wanna kiss my robot and tell them that's how we humans show each other affection. I'll share with them the magical feeling of being gifted a balloon animal. I want them to know what puppies and kittens are. I'll tell them about WALL-E and The Iron Giant. I'll tell them about Bender and about Jenny. About Robotboy and about Baymax. A robot baby would be nice but also think all that energy could be put into a real human being too. Even better than a cool robot would be making an unwanted human being feel like a wanted human being after all

Chapter 3: The Best Partner
Narrated by Nikki.
Narrator: The lamb is Jenny’s pet and travel companion. It’s got wings and can fly.
Narrator: Momo puts on fake wings and gets right into lamb mode. He’s a great practice partner!
Narrator: There’s a candy witch in the story who casts a spell on the lamb, turning it into an inanimate plushy.
Jenny: Noooooooo!
Candy Witch: If you want your beloved lamb back, you must complete a few tasks for me.
Jenny: What exactly do you want?
Candy Witch: Water from the spring in the east, honey from the woods in the west, and a rose from the garden in the north.
Narrator: Jenny agrees to travel the lands to find the three items for the candy witch and save her sweet pet.
Choose “The lamb is a plushy through the whole play?”
You: So the lamb will have to remain inanimate through the whole play?
Narrator: Yeah. So Momo has to...
Narrator: Momo has encountered the greatest challenge in his acting career: staying still.
Narrator: While scooping up spring water, I see Momo’s stiff face and posture reflected on the surface.
Nikki: It’s okay to move a bit.
Narrator: I whisper to Momo, but he rolls his eyes, as if to tell me he’s fine.
Narrator: It’s like he’s scorning me for underestimating his dedication. I quickly get back into my role.
Narrator: It gets even harder for him when I set off into the “woods.” The bushes keep tickling Momo’s body as we pass them by.
Narrator: We finally arrive at the garden in the north. The black clouds looming in the skies make daytime seem like night.
Narrator: According to the script, I should head to the depths of the garden and find a midnight rose.
Narrator: Once I pluck the flower, my outfit will be instantly dyed a bitter, brilliant black. It’s the climax of the show.
Choose either “The costume change looks magical” or “That’s a great transition.”

You: Changing costumes in the blink of an eye... That’s just like magic!
Narrator: It’s a design I’m especially proud of.

Narrator: The black fog smells a slight bit weird. I feel Momo trembling a bit in my arms from the offensive odor.
Narrator: As the lights snap on and the fantastical music stops, the fog dissipates. I stride out of the darkness into the spotlight...
Momo: Achoo!
Narrator: The climax is ruined by the loud sneeze.
Narrator: The whole theater falls silent. The sneeze seems to echo off the walls forever.
Narrator: The director and the other actors are all staring at us with wide eyes.
Nikki and Momo: I’m sorry, we...
Everyone: Ahahahahaha!
Momo: Huh?
Narrator: Everyone bursts out laughing and starts applauding. The director hands Momo a napkin.
Director: You worked hard! You guys should get some rest. The rehearsal can wait.
Momo: Sorry, I just couldn’t hold it in...
Nikki: We’ll do better next time.
Narrator: The director simply smiles at our words.
Director: You both did great. Momo was really into his role. And Nikki, that was the best performance I’ve ever seen from you.
Nikki: Really? Thank you!
Actor A: Still, we can just use the plushy for the Minister performance. I’ll take care of Momo.
Actor B: I’ll try to make the fog less smelly so that it won’t affect your performance.

yeah I'm so curious to see how rosie will be promoted/marketed. atp anything will be better than lloud :/ lisa's team have been so bad. the music and the visuals eat but everything else is not it. rca suck anyway but lloud's decisions have been all over the place. lisa is making music for a western pop audience but they had her do a korean popup event and a korean variety show and now she's doing asian fanmeetings which are all in places where she is already famous and to people that aren't her new demographic. sure lloud are placing her at high profile western events like the vmas, global citizen festival and the vsfs but they can't just leave it at that. they need to do other things in between. the vsfs might be her best bet for getting new fans but that'll only be if the sound engineers turn her mic up this time. but then rca and lloud need to take advantage and keep the momentum going for her album but they won't ever do that so.. love that for us <3
I hate comparing them and I hate how people are already turning this into a competition between the members when it's not but I can't help it when it comes to their promo bcs lloud is so weak and oa is so strong. jennie and her team have been slowly sowing the seeds over the past couple of years and have made sure to promote her across multiple fields at once. she has been in all the right places at the right times and has met the right people. she has solidified her place in the fashion industry with global campaigns, multiple successful self-designed collections, two met galas, cannes and a runway debut. the idol sucked but it gave her some exposure plus ootg broke records and her scene went viral on tiktok and also won an emmy. she has done a lot of korean promo this year, not that she needs it, and now she has started an interesting and creative rollout and already has an interview on french radio. like you said, the imbalance between the labels and management teams is so insane so i hope lloud improves and that rosie's team actually has their shit together
agree on all counts !!!!! i also don’t like comparing the girls but this is not about the girls per se, and our complaints are well founded — while oa has done an amazing job at laying the groundwork for jennie to have a successful career and making her even more salient, lloud and rca have dropped tha ball and that cannot really be argued 😶 both lisa released have been so so so great, but the music has been the only good thing about them. they are so all over the place, it’s so frustrating to see them wasting all the potential that these songs had
i honestly have decent hopes for rosie 🤷🏻♀️ not high hopes because i know better, but i think things could go okay. aside from him as a producer/writer, teddy does a pretty okay job as manager (besides from the fact that it takes them a thousand years for a cb, but rosie seems to have a rather clear direction as an artist so i don’t expect that to be an issue). and atlantic have their flaws of course but they’re not the worse, and they do not play about that payola <3

Calm Takedowns (Alexia Putellas x Reader)
A/N: Please don't get used to a steady stream of fics. It just so happens that I've been really inspired lately. This was a request which you can find here. Hope I have done it justice! Enjoy!
It was about an hour before you were scheduled to head out for pregame warmups and you were sitting in front of your locker, eyes closed with your headphones over your head.
Alexia was sitting beside you, talking to Patri, one of her hands on the back of your neck, rubbing slightly to keep you at ease and present. It helped you both relax before a game.
While Alexia was better at talking with her teammates before a game, you were better with visualizations of the game as music blasted in your ears. It was easy to get lost in the music and the soothing feeling of Alexia’s presence.
You nodded your head, waiting for your girlfriend to stand before doing the same. Bringing your hands up to your face, you closed them into fists, pressing a kiss to your knuckles on each side before holding them out to Alexia.
Eventually, you felt your girlfriend turn, carefully lifting your headphones off, “Listo, mi amor?”
Looking around, you noticed all of your other teammates have already taken off, meaning it was time.
She repeated your movements, fist bumping both of your hands. She then reached around, wrapping her arms around your neck and pressing a soft kiss to your lips.
“Let’s do this,” you said when you both pulled away. Alexia led you out of the room, following after your teammates who have already made it onto the pitch for warmups.

Tensions were high this game, and it didn’t look like it was going to calm down at any second. Really, you shouldn’t have expected anything less from an El Clasico game.
You were getting frustrated, which led you to be more aggressive than usual. Shoulder checks, subtle shoves, slide tackles, everything you could think of. Yet, you made sure to keep them clean, and just on the right side of the line that bordered a foul call. It was what you were best at.
Real Madrid was playing rough and have come close too many times for comfort, but Barcelona held their own. It was currently 1-1, Barca’s goal coming from an Alexia-Jenni connection.
There were less than two minutes left of the game when Real Madrid’s Esther received the ball after an errant pass out of the back from Paños. Esther settled it quickly before making a break for the goal. From your place you saw your keeper still out of position, so you immediately tracked back, determined to keep the forward from getting a shot off.
With a subtle check over your shoulder, you saw Irene heading towards goal for backup, nearly there as Panos was still repositioning. Knowing you weren’t the last defender, you knew it would be safe to challenge the Real player.
You went to ground, feet making full contact with the ball just outside the box. The ball went out, but Esther's foot just barely knicked your sliding leg, forcing her down and to the ground.
From your angle, you noticed her hit the ground rather hard, but knew you had made a fair tackle. The second you were on your feet, you heard the roar of the crowd as they were definitely happy with that challenge.
You stood back up, about to retake your position, when the sound of the center ref’s whistle caught your attention. Confused, you turned your head to see her coming straight at you, her hand going into her pocket.
Your eyes went wide as your arms flew out to your side in exasperation, "What? That is not a red! Are you blind?”
Your hands immediately started waving back and forth in front of you and you began to plead your case. But it was all for nothing as the ref reached into her pocket, showing you a yellow, closely followed by a red.
The crowd was behind you as you heard a loud chorus of boos echo thought the stadium.
The two of you were quickly swarmed by your teammates as they argued your point, but the ref was having none of that. She pointed straight at you before motioning for you to get off the field.
Her blatant disregard for your reasoning had you heated. Leila was physically holding you back as you continued to shout over her shoulder at the ref. It wasn’t until Alexia came right up to you, her eyes hard, yet pleading for you not to make this worse.
At the lack of her support, you turned on your heels and stomped towards the tunnel. You weren't even completely off the field before you were ripping your jersey off. You passed by the coaching staff, all of them out of their seats as they, too, complained about the inexplicable call.
As soon as you were back in the locker room, you chucked your jersey into your locker, toeing your shoes off before roughly tossing them in there as well. With no one else around, you screamed, your hand slamming against the wall as the anger was bubbling inside of you.
After taking a few deep breaths you reached for your training top, throwing the shirt over your head, as you leaned your forehead against the wall. But you were quickly back at as you continued to slap the wall over and over again, upset at being thrown out over a bad call.
You were still fuming as you replayed the entire sequence of events in your head. All you could come up with was that it was a soft foul at best. Possibly a yellow, but definitely not a red.
You didn’t even realize people had started to file in until you felt someone hugging you from behind. You turned your head slightly, eyeing the number six on the pair of shorts behind you. Pina’s soft hold on you forced you to take a deep breath, willing your anger to subside for the time being.
Players were still making their way in, when a staff member poked their head in, informing you that Jonatan was looking for you. Before you left, you patted the young girl’s head, quietly thanking her for her support. As you passed your teammates, you felt Aitana and Patri both give you sympathetic pats on the back.
Approaching the group outside, you saw Mapi and Alexia in what seemed to be a heated argument with the coaching staff, who turned towards you at the sound of your footsteps. Immediately, your manager was on you.
"What were you thinking?" Jonatan shouted at you. "Do you know what you've done?"
The anger you thought had dissipated in the locker room simmered within you, but you refused to let it boil over again in front of your coach. You held back as much as you could, knowing that what’s done was done.
"I did my job," you replied as calmly as you could.
"No! You may have just cost us this game. Now we'll be a player down for the whole half!" Jonatan said.
His tone grated on your nerves as you continued to see red around you, but you held it in, "It was a clean tackle. I didn’t even touch her."
Despite being shorter than him, you did not back up when the man got in your face.
"I don't care! The ref gave you a red, so it's a red. You've ruined everything!" Out of the corner of your eye you noticed one of the other coaches trying to reel the man back in.
You felt a hand on your shoulder, no doubt a teammate trying to do the same to you as your patience was thinning. You'd bet everything you have that it was Alexia, but right now you couldn’t deal with that, so you shrugged her off.
"That would have been a clear goal if I hadn't stepped in. It's not my fault she tripped and hurt herself!" you argued through grit teeth, your hands clenched at your sides.
“You let your team down! And now they have to work twice as hard to make up for your mistake,” he sneered.
At the mention of your team, you stepped back. Everyone knew you lived and breathed for this team. You considered everyone your family. Just the thought that you had burdened them in any way broke you.
You backed down, deflated, watching as he straightened out his clothing and followed the rest of the staff back to one of the training rooms to regroup and game plan for the second half.
Angry tears welled in the corner of your eyes, but you didn’t want them to see you break.
After the verbal lashing from the coaching staff, you turned around to find half your team staring at you in shock. You don't know how long they had been there, but you wouldn't be surprised if they came out at the first sign of shouting.
They were used to you being so calm, cool, and collected off the field, the opposite of you on the field. But they had expected more of a reaction from you. However, they also weren't blind to the obvious tension straining throughout your body.
"Give her some time," Mapi suggested, an arm going over Alexia's shoulder, as she led the captain back to the team to give a rallying speech.
"Mi amor," Alexia approached you apprehensively.
Not in the mood, you shrugged her off again before walking straight past your teammates and the locker room. You didn’t even register the look of hurt on Alexia's face.

Once you were off on your own, you fell back against a wall, working your way through a few breathing exercises to get your emotions in check. Even though a few tears managed to get away from you, you felt much better.
You gave yourself a few more minutes of replaying everything in your mind and compartmentalizing. You created a group of emotions for the game, another for your teammates, one for Alexia, and one for the coaching staff. You put all the emotions for the game and the staff away, wanting to focus on your team and your girlfriend.
After feeling like you had a handle on your emotions once again, you headed to the locker room, waiting just outside.
She turned around to face you and you just dropped your head onto her shoulder, ashamed of not only being kicked out but also for how you reacted afterwards.
You put on a happy face, high-fiving each of them as they came out. A few stopped to give you a quick hug, and more reminded you that they had your back. It warmed your heart.
Unsurprisingly, your girlfriend was the last one out. Reaching out, you grabbed her arm, so she knew you wanted a second alone with her.
“I’m sorry,” you whispered, your apology partially muffled as you pressed your face against her chest.
Alexia pressed a kiss to the side of your head, her arms bringing your body closer until it was flush against her.
“It’s okay, mi amor,” she said, hugging you tight to make sure you knew how genuine her words were, “It wasn’t your fault.”
The two of you continued to soak in the moment, as you appreciated having someone know you so well that nothing more needed to be said. Instead, she held you the way you needed her to.
A shout of her name broke you two apart, and you knew you had to let her go. Even if you really didn’t want to, “Good luck out there, Ale.”
"Este partido es para ti," she squeezed your hand, kissing your cheek before she took off.
Reaching for your phone, you tuned into the game, another fifteen minutes left of the game. The intensity of the game hadn’t eased whatsoever. The game was still locked at 1-1, and you were worried about it going into extra time. You could see the fatigue starting to set in on your teammates and knew extra time could spell disaster.
Now that the locker room was vacated once again, you walked in with the idea that a shower would do you some good. You needed to wash away the grime of the day.
Afterwards, you wrang your hair dry as best you could before reaching into Alexia's locker and throwing on her hoodie. Her smell instantly helped you settle.
You nearly jumped in the air when there was a rough challenge on Pina in the box, leading to a penalty with only a few precious minutes left of the game.
Anxiously, you watched as Alexia stepped up to the spot, ball in hand. She eyed Misa carefully, making sure to give nothing away. But you already knew that no matter what happened, Alexia was going to score.
Knowing and seeing it were two different things. As soon as you saw the ball slide just past Misa's fingers and into the net, your hand punching the air. You almost cried when you saw Alexia celebrate by purposely running over to the fans in the stand shrugging her shoulders.
It was a reminder of when you had scored your first goal for Barca. In your shocked state of scoring, you had no idea how to celebrate. You ran around and around, and when your teammates had swarmed you, you had merely shrugged at them. The team had teased you because of it, and over time it had just become your thing.
Once the game was over, you wiggled your way into the locker, knees up to your chest as you placed your headphones over your head. You dropped your head until your forehead was against your knees, blocking out the world as you tried to put this game behind you.
You don’t know how much time had passed, but the next thing you knew, your headphones were being pulled off.
Raising your head, you saw all of your teammates staring back at you with huge smiles on their faces. And as if it was planned, which it probably was, they all shrugged their shoulders at you.
You chuckled as you dragged yourself out of your locker, standing up just in time to be pulled into a group hug. Slowly, the group broke up as everyone went about their own routines so they could head out to celebrate.
“Is this mine?” Alexia asked, as pulled you into her side, pinching the side of the hoodie you were wearing.
“Maybe?” you answered, shyly looking anywhere but at her.
“Looks good on you, mi amor,” Alexia said, her grin wide as she looked you up and down. “Feeling better?”
You nodded your head, burying yourself into her body.
“I’m going to have a word with Jonatan.”
“You don’t have to, Ale. I’ve put it behind me,” you replied, looking at her.
She shook her head, “I don’t care. He does not get to talk to you like that. You are one of our best players and we wouldn’t be here without you.”
Hearing those words from her meant everything. You could receive praises from fans, coaches, and critics all day long, but none of them would hold a candle to hearing one from your girlfriend.
Leaning forward, you pressed your lips against hers in a deep, slow kiss. You just wanted to make sure she knew how much you appreciated everything she did for you.
You almost forgot where you were until you heard a few wolf whistles and catcalls from your lingering teammates.
Shyly you pulled away, but Alexia was having none of that. She turned around and in her most authoritative captain voice told everyone to mind their own business. And when they did, she was cradling your face in her hands, so she could pull you into another kiss.

Writing with Intention
In screenwriting we learn a lot about creating meaning in everything we write. If a producer is going to put several thousand dollars into every scene—you better bet they need to know that every scene is absolutely necessary. I find the same process we go through for writing with intention, or meaning, is useful in novel writing too because endless chapters that make me question their purpose is going to lose me as a reader. So today I’m going to go over the anatomy of a scene so that we can make sure that every one you write is written with intention, and adds to the work as a whole.
Firstly, scenes all fall under one of these main functions:
- To move the plot forward
- To develop characters (backstory, objective, desires, characteristics, relationships)
- To reveal something unknown about the world or past
In screenwriting this is all done through dialogue because film is a visual/audio medium, but in novel writing we have a lot more freedom. There are a number of ways you can convey these functions in a scene, whether through conflict, inner dialogue, action, etc. However, you still have to fulfill at least one (but better if more) of these functions in every scene.
Now that you know why the scene is there, we need to be able to actually write it.
The first thing you need to know is that every character wants something. They want something overall throughout the story—they also want something smaller within scenes that may aid them in getting to that ‘overall’.
As an example, Jenny wants to win the science fair contest, this is her goal throughout the story. In a scene where she runs into one of the judges, she might want to make a good impression, or even make another contestant look bad. This is what she wants/her goal in that specific scene, and so that ‘want’ drives that scene. This scene would probably function as characterization, and maybe—depending on if she succeeds in her goal or not—would move the plot forward.
In this specific example, Jenny is interacting with someone else, so likely you’ll be using dialogue and conflict to structure this scene. That’s where subtext comes in, dramatic writing’s best friend. We will talk in greater lengths about subtext in the future, but for now what you need to know is that characters never say what they mean.
So, Jenny would never go up to the judge and say, “I really want to win the contest so I’m going to make a good impression on you, oh and also that other person entering really sucks.” Yeah, it sounds clunky and ingenuine. However, if you know that’s what she wants out of the conversation, it’s going to make writing the scene a lot easier.
So with that in mind, maybe Jenny goes up to the judge and says something around the lines of, “I really respect your dedication to science.”
Here’s the last point I’ll make about dialogue and character intention, it’s something we do in directing. To make sure you keep on point with your subtext, it might be useful to write what the character is doing to get what they want.
In this case, Jenny is trying ‘to flatter’ in order to make the judge like her, and hopefully win her some points in the contest at the end. Characters say things to get something from the other character. For example: To convince, To praise, To reprimand, To prove wrong, To impress, To comfort, etc.
Every line of dialogue has an intention behind it. In real life, people say things all the time without really meaning anything of it, (or most the time: to make conversation), but in writing, especially screenwriting, characters never just say things. They always have intention, they’re always trying to get something. That’s what drives your scenes.
So to recap. Scenes have functions within the whole that contribute to the outline, (characterization, plot, worldbuilding), characters go into every scene with something they want (goal), and we know what they want through the subtext of what they’re saying (to: blank etc.)
With all these things working together we can create a very intentional scene—then another, then another, until you reach the end.
This is a pretty large topic and there’s still so much more about dialogue and subtext to get into, but for now that’s the very basics of writing with intention you’d need to know to get started. Good luck!

Could the same SPN finale make a little more sense with some additions/changes?
I’ve had the idea for this post stuck in my head for days now, but with every new conspiracy theory and every new eventuality in the fandom, it became difficult to cool down enough to write something less ship-related and more narrative-focused.
What Supernatural and non-SPN fans have to understand is that a lot of us have expressed disappointment and frustration after 15x20, not because of Destiel (that’s just one part of the whole problem), but because the finale doesn’t make sense. Everything was leading up to something beautifully crafted until the end of 15x19. Beyond that, it’s hard to understand what happened. The story rendered all the character growth irrelevant, invalidated the themes of free will and “family don’t end in blood”, regressed to the original brother codependency they spent 15 years trying to overcome, made a queer non-binary character in a male vessel and a deaf female character basically disposable, and kept the show’s reputation of queerbaiting and misogyny until its very last breath.
That’s not going out with a bang! At least not a positive one. We all were ready to mourn Supernatural, but we wanted to feel proud of its legacy, and somehow TPTB managed to tarnish that legacy in less than 45 minutes. What a way to ruin the other more than 13,600 minutes of story!
It doesn’t matter who is to blame (The CW, Robert Singer, Andrew Dabb). It doesn’t matter why it happened (homophobia, censorship, marketing for Walker, bad writing). What matters is that at the end of the day, the finale that aired is what we got and that’s going to hurt for a long time. It hurts even more when we realize that the same finale could have easily made more sense, even without being perfect.
That’s what I want to do in this post. I want to show you how things would have been less jarring (for the fandom), while still keeping the goal to please the general audience.
Before I begin rewriting 15x20, I have to mention that I talked to my conservative boomer sister about the finale. She hasn’t watched the second half of season 15 yet (she’s waiting for Netflix to have it), but she’s been watching the show for a long time (she introduced me to it 8 years ago). She’s the perfect example of a viewer from the general audience. Loves the show but doesn’t give a second thought to it and definitely isn’t paying attention to character development or themes. Doesn’t engage with fandom, actors, or any of the show’s social media. Pure GA! When I told her the series finale had aired, she asked me about it and I refused to give her spoilers. Because of that, she told me the ending SHE wanted. She said she would be happy with either of two possibilities: the boys retiring and finally living a normal life OR they going to heaven and finding peace at last. She saw Sam and Dean as a unit, which means: both retiring or both going to heaven. AND she saw Cas as part of that, too. She wasn’t so sure about Jack. And for her, we could use the “Eileen who?” and it wouldn’t be a joke. She didn’t remember her.
NOW IT’S TIME TO WRITE A NEW VERSION OF 15X20 (KEEPING 15X18 AND 15X19 EXACTLY THE SAME AS THEY AIRED). This will be a very long post:
The opening remains almost the same. No “Carry on my wayward son” to induce feels. Too soon and too predictable! (Reasoning: Everyone was expecting it to play right there, so it would bring more tears at the end)
In the opening, after the scene where Jack says “People won’t need to pray to me or sacrifice to me”, we also see the scene from 15x19 where he says “I won’t be hands on”. Then we see the rest of the opening as it was. (Reasoning: People needed to be reminded that Jack would NOT intervene and that’s why later on, he would NOT save Dean).
We get the same montage, but when Sam takes a break from his morning run, we see him reading a message on his phone. A simple: “Hey Sam, what’s new?” from Eileen. Sam smiles fondly and begins to type a response we don’t get to see. The next scene continues the same, Sam making breakfast. (Reasoning: A text was a very simple way to show that Eileen was alive and still in communication with Sam).
The montage slowly ends as Sam enters the library (not after he sits down). He seems to be talking on the phone but we only hear an “I’ll tell him. Bye”. As he walks towards the table, he tells Dean: “Charlie says hi. Mentioned something about Stevie’s perfect scrambled eggs we have to try.” Dean’s answer is “Awesome!” (Reasoning: Just ONE line was needed to unbury Charlie and her girlfriend. ONE LINE).
Sam sits down, opens his laptop and everything continues the same. The title card shows for the last time.
YOU SEE? In the first 4 minutes they could have acknowledged that THREE WOMEN were alive and safe: Eileen, Charlie and Stevie. It wasn’t hard! Don’t blame bad writing on Covid! Now let’s continue.
Sam and Dean arrive at the Pie Fest just the same. Dean goes to get some “damn pie” and Sam takes out his phone. He dials and when someone picks up, he says “Hey, Jody, how are ya?” We don’t hear the rest of the conversation. The scene moves to Dean coming with his 6 portions of pie. Dean sits down and Sam tells him, “Talked to Jody. The other hunters haven’t had much work lately.” “That’s good, isn’t it?”, Dean says. All we get from Sam is “Yeah.” So, Dean looks at him and asks “what’s wrong?” like it happened in the episode. (Reasoning: Again, a couple of lines to make sure the people that were killed in 15x18 are safe and remembered by the boys in 15x20. Why is this important? Because they’re family!)
The conversation about Sam’s sad face happens the same. Sam is the one that mentions Cas and Jack. (Reasoning: Because this episode was so Sam-centered, it’s obvious he was the protagonist in the finale. If we see him communicating with Eileen, Charlie, and Jody, then it’s NORMAL, even expected of him to be the one to bring up Cas and Jack). Without these additions, it’s harder for people to understand that most of the finale was NOT from Dean’s POV but from Sam’s.
Dean’s “if we don’t keep living, then all that sacrifice is gonna be for nothing” stays the same. (Reasoning: I believe it’s necessary that the show sticks to the importance of “letting go” and “what is dead should stay dead” for the first time ever because the message is “even when you lose someone you love, you can still find some form of happiness and keep living, for you and for them, because that’s what they would have wanted”. Bringing someone back means “I can’t live without you”, and that’s just more codependency. It’s how the demon deals began in the Winchester family –Mary being the first one to do it. This would explain why Dean didn’t ask Jack to bring Cas back, as he asked Chuck. He understood Jack was NOT going to interfere anymore and accepted it. Besides, when Cas saved Dean from hell, Dean thought he didn’t deserve to be saved. This time that Cas saved him, Dean finally feels worthy enough to accept that YES, HE DESERVED TO BE SAVED ALL ALONG, just as much as he deserved to be loved by that angel of the Lord. In this scene, Dean also says that the pain is not gonna go away, which means that from HIS PERPECTIVE, it still hurts that Cas is not there. The problem is that the finale is not showing his POV but Sam’s.
Sam pies Dean on the face just the same. (Reasoning: That part was just to avoid ending the scene on a sad note).
Everything related to the case happens exactly the same. (Reasoning: At this point, people don’t really care about the MoTW, they care about Sam and Dean).
NOTE 1: The case is important to show that even when the Winchesters are finally free of Chuck’s influence, they CHOOSE to keep hunting. It isn’t something they do out of revenge or because it is their destiny anymore. Maybe they were forced into the life at first, but they’ve learned to find joy in saving people. Being hunters is who they are. However, the fact that a job application was shown on Dean’s desk is also important because it means he was willing to explore what else was there for him besides hunting. Maybe he could find a balance? Maybe he was thinking it was time to quit? We will never know! The thing is that Sam only finds out about it when he goes into Dean’s room after his brother is dead, so maybe that’s when it hits him that Dean wanted to explore his options, and Sam starts to think it’s time for him to do the same.
NOTE 2: I believe the masks the vampires are wearing is something we can blame on covid. If they had their faces covered, it was easier to use people from the SPN crew for some scenes, instead of using more actors unnecessarily.
NOTE 3: When Sam and Dean arrive at the barn, we get 3 visuals to remember Cas in the same scene (those are for the fandom, not for the general audience): a) the barn, obviously; b) the bag that resembles Cas’ trenchcoat so much that many people thought that’s what it was; and c) two feathers hanging on Dean’s right when he opens the trunk.
The scene with the throwing star happens the same. (Reasoning: The episode is still told from Sam’s point of view, so it makes sense that he fondly sees his brother as a man child).
Jenny the vampire? Uhhh… I mean, it’s not the best piece of writing I’ve ever seen, but it’s not the worst, so okay. That stays the same. (Reasoning: There is none, but she’s not what really ruined the finale, so whatever!)
Dean still dies impaled on a rebar. (Reasoning: OK. HERE ME OUT!!! I hate as much as everyone else that Dean is killed. I think it’s lazy writing, but that’s what we got and I can’t change that in this re-write, so if killing Dean is what we have to work around, then, memes aside, death by rebar is better and here’s why. There’s no one to blame for Dean’s death: no Chuck (the boys were willingly hunting even after Chuck was defeated), no vampires (they were all killed and were no real threat, so it was impossible for Sam to begin a quest for revenge against all vampires. What was Sam going to blame? A rebar? Can you kill it? Hunt it? NO. It was an ordinary death, a stupid accident. Just like any person can die at any moment by slipping on a banana peel. Is it a good death? No, but it’s good to know he doesn’t die trying to save Sam or Cas, because Dean Winchester is NOT willing to give up his life in exchange for anyone else’s anymore.
Sam takes out his phone and says he’ll call for help, but his phone is more visible to the audience. He dials and it’s almost to his ear when Dean stops him and Sam hesitantly hangs up. (Reasoning: People have complained that Sam didn’t call an ambulance, but actually he tried to. It’s just that people missed that part, maybe?)
After Sam puts his phone back in his pocket and says “OK” to Dean, he adds, “I’ll pray to Jack”. Dean’s immediate answer is: “No hands on, remember?” “But Dean”, Sam says, and Dean interrupts him with “OK listen to me” and tells Sam what to do with the kids they rescued. (Reasoning: Jack is God now and how come Sam didn’t remember? The viewers remembered, so it was necessary to include a line that ruled the option out and that showed Dean didn’t want Jack to intervene. The rest was fine).
The lines “You knew it was always gonna end like this for me. It was supposed to end like this, right?” disappear completely from Dean’s monologue. (Reasoning: This is the most problematic part of Dean’s dying speech. He fought God and earned free will, he is no longer controlled by fate or destiny. Accepting that he is supposed to die on a hunt regresses his character development and denies his desire to keep living. This was a total mistake and should be removed).
Instead, if going to heaven is the ending TPTB wanted to give Dean, at least he should say something more empowering. Sam tells him that both of them are going to take the kids somewhere safe. Dean answers and the scene follows like this: “No. Sammy, we made our choice, didn’t we?”, he smiles with difficulty. “We were free to write our own story and we did. We decided to keep saving people, hunting things. Because it’s what we love despite the risks.” (Reasoning: If Dean’s going to die it doesn’t have to feel like it was always meant to be that way. He should die knowing that he exerted his free will until his last breath).
The rest of the dialogue between Sam and Dean happens almost the same. Except that instead of Dean saying “‘cause when it all came down to it, it was always you and me. It’s always been you and me”, he says “’cause when it all came down to it, we’ve always had each other’s backs. Always.” And instead of Sam saying “Don’t leave me”, he says “I still can try to save you.” (Reasoning: It sounds way less codependent without diminishing the importance of their love and support for each other).
Besides, let’s change Dean’s “I’m not leaving you” for “You don’t have to be alone. You’ve still got family.” The rest stays the same word by word. (Reasoning: Dean reminds Sam that “family don’t end in blood” and there are still lots of people out there who love Sam and will be with him).
“I love you so much, my baby brother” stays exactly the same. (Reasoning: Dean always had trouble to express the big L word. I always believed and said many times that before Dean could say “I love you” to Cas or any other character, he had to say it to Sam. So, this is important as part of Dean speaking his truth).
The last part when Dean insists Sam tell him that it’s okay stays the same. (Reasoning: It’s the final moment when the codependency cycle breaks. No more running in circles).
The forehead touch between them stays the same. (Reasoning: I think I would do something similar if my sister were dying. I know there are w*ncest shippers out there, but it shouldn’t matter because the moment feels appropriate for that kind of goodbye).
See? There are changes but not too many. That’s why I’ve been saying that it was easier to get it right, yet they still managed to screw it up.
The second montage stays the same. (Reasoning: Life goes on, but of course Sam has to mourn).
The call about a case in Austin remains the same. (Reasoning: It’s the only part of the episode where someone from the found family is mentioned, so I think that Donna’s name is perfect in that moment. However, without the other additions I’ve made in this re-write, that off-hand mention feels too little. Its purpose was to tell the viewers that if Donna was alive, so were the others, but the way the episode was executed gave us an isolated Sam, incapable of having friends and a family without Dean).
After 30 minutes of Sam’s POV, let’s finally see the last bit of Dean’s POV that we’ll ever get.
Dean arrives in Heaven and Bobby receives him. All their conversation stays almost the same, except that after mentioning Rufus and before saying “and your mom and dad…”, Bobby adds an “Ellen and Jo let me borrow their place”. (Reasoning: If you’re gonna put the man outside the Harvelle’s place, at least mention them for Jack’s sake!).
Besides, after Bobby tells Dean that Sam will be along and that time in heaven is different, Dean gives a small smile and says, “Well, there’s no rush. I want him to have a long, happy life.” Bobby answers with: “I would expect nothing less from you, boy” and tells him he got everything he could ever want, etc., just like it happened in the episode, and finishes by asking “What are you gonna do now, Dean?” (Reasoning: It’s important we know for sure that Dean is NOT codependent anymore and that he doesn’t expect to have a miserable afterlife just because his brother is not there yet).
Instead of saying “I think I’ll go for a drive” Dean says, “I think I know what I want” and walks towards baby. Bobby still tells him to have fun. (Reasoning: “Know what I want” is ambiguous enough to help us introduce the last piece of the puzzle, the one thing Dean’s wanted for many seasons and has never been able to express).
The biggest change is coming:
Dean gets on the Impala and has a moment of silence while he contemplates the wheel. He begins to pray: “Hey, Cas, you got your ears on? I hear you’ve been busy working on this updated Heaven with Jack. You were right about him, Cas. You had faith in him and he saved us all. You could always see the best in everyone, even when they couldn’t see it themselves. Even when I couldn’t see it myself. There’s so much I want to tell you. Maybe you can visit sometime. I hope prayer’s still a thing up here.” (Reasoning: Dean’s side of the confession was unaddressed and that was terrible writing. If there was no way to get him to speak his truth textually, at least take him as close to it as possible).
We listen to a flutter of wings and a “Hello, Dean” from the back seat. We don’t see Cas, but the camera shows us Dean’s cocky smile and he says “Took you long enough.” He turns around slowly. End of scene. (Reasoning: The flutter of wings confirms that angels have their wings back and ties that loose end. The final “hello, Dean” was highly anticipated and it made sense. If Misha couldn’t be there to film, for whatever reason, or if the problem was the kind of conversation Dean and Cas would have, then don’t show it, but leave the door open. Let us know that the two characters were reunited and will talk, but whatever Dean has to say is so private that it’s not for us to hear, only for Cas.
We finally hear “Carry on my wayward son” and get a montage that begins with Sam playing with his kid. Then we see Dean driving, super happy, and Sam living his life to the fullest. We still get Sam’s Blurry Wife, BUT… we see pictures of Eileen in the living room (not just of John, Mary, Sam, and Dean). We also see photos of Jody, Donna, Charlie, and AU!Bobby. (Reasoning: FAMILY DON’T END IN BLOOD).
The scene where Sam is wearing the party wig and looks miserable inside the Impala is cut and nobody talks about it ever again because it never existed. We get a scene of Sam teaching his son how to fix the car instead. (Reasoning: First of all, don’t give Sam a life where years later he’s still in pain. Second of all, the fucking wig was a crime).
Sam’s dying scene stays the same. The only thing is that his son signs a couple of phrases to him before actually speaking. (Reasoning: More confirmation that Dean Jr. is Eileen’s son).
We hear the final “Evanescence-like Carry on my wayward son”. Again we see the photos and there’s family other than the Winchesters there. (Reasoning: Obvious at this point).
The rest is exactly the same. The show began with two brothers and it’s okay if the last scene is with the two brothers reunited in Heaven. At this point, the other parts of the story are acceptable enough for us to feel happy that they get to see each other again after years of a happy (after)life.
Now look me in the eye and tell me this was too hard to execute. I still think that bad writing is a thing we can’t deny here, adding to the possible meddling of the Network. Maybe Dabb wanted us to hate the finale because he couldn’t get away with what he truly wanted. If that was his intention, then kudos to him. He and The CW really gave us a finale that only 30% of the fandom liked.
I hope you guys have enjoyed this and it helps to give you some peace of mind. In my heart, this was the finale we got. It wasn’t perfect, but it didn’t drop the ball either.

tokyo revengers idol au hcs part 3 that no one asked for AGAIN here’s part 1 and part 2 to get a better understanding. this is what the members would be doing alongside their idol promotions+ what they would post on social media toman tbh these guys are all just so damn funny on their own that they would constantly be invited to comedy variety shows. maybe perhaps doing something similar to seventeen or wanna one where they even have their own variety show on youtube (ie. seventeen’s-going seventeen series or wanna one’s show on mnet) mikey-he would post basic food pics like of his parfaits or taiyaki but also it’s rare because he’d constantly forget his password. however on important days he’ll post long emotional and sentimental posts that hit you in your feels thanking his members and fans always. he also has a youtube channel posting random funny vlogs. draken- he has his own personal soundcloud to upload solo mixtapes/songs feat diff members. posts photos of his bikes and different tattoos he would be getting. responds with 1-2 words to fans during fansigns or ig comments but like mikey, once in a while, will also write heartfelt posts thanking everyone. baji- his ig feed is filled with animals + dance practice vids. also has his own soundcloud too. trolls his members by commenting on their stuff. “delete this u ugly mf no one wants to see this”. takemichi- very chatty, (sometimes too chatty where he’ll end up accidentally spoiling their next album info) and interactive on social media to his fans. tries his best to respond to most comments or ama ig stories questions. posts a lot of selfies and photos of his members. king of fan service. chifuyu- beautiful photos of the sky a lot on his ig (in canon he wanted to be a pilot :,) ) along with cute soft selfies. (which baji and kazutora troll and comment being like “damn....u ugly AF!” “lmao stop pretending to act cute u loser” kazutora- his ig is filled with pure chaos. just pics of him catching his members slipping (sleeping photos where they’re drooling or have their eyes slightly open or making ugly faces behind the scenes). also has photos of cursed memes and memes made by fans. he’s a literal enigma. mitsuya- very wholesome ig photos- lots of photos of his family, group photos, sometimes cool artsy edited selfies. occasional photoshoot photos. hakkai- ig is filled lots of #ootd photos and occasional photos from his modeling or acting gigs (he’s the visual, duh!) gets a lot of sponsorships from big brands. pah-chin: has a joint youtube channel with peyan. they do silly challenges but will sometimes post dance videos (feat. baji) since they’re the main/lead dancers. fans love him because of his “matter-of-fact” responses that are funny without even trying. (example- fan comment: omg i love u guys soooo much u guys are the best in the whole world!!!<333 toman OUTSOLD!. pah-chin: idk about best in the world but we’ll just take “the best in our neighborhood” for now i guess. thanks.”) peyan: joint youtube channel with pah-chin. at fan signs mikey has to warn him to chill out cuz peyan will accidentally yell and scare fans without meaning to, but he’s just really excited to meet his fans is all ^_^ angry: posts a lot of wholesome photos like mitsuya (selfies with smiley) and writes a lot of motivational sweet captions cheering fans up and reminding them to always be happy :,) smiley: joint youtube account with angry. smiley does a lot of prank videos and angrys just usually in the back like 🧍♂️... he also does tiktok- he would be doing all the dances, memes, and trends. inui: ok hear me out, i mentioned before inui has similar vibes as cha eunwoo so i’d figure his ig would give the same vibe as his (iykyk). since he’s the other visual he would be getting a TON of acting and modeling gigs. idk why but i feel like inui would be a great actor (his facial expressions during tenjiku arc, the range!). actor of the year. gets a lot of skincare commercial deals too.
black dragons shinichiro- photos of bikes, cars, and photos where hes pretending to do a cool pose but his members (+mikey) would troll and comment “LAME!!!!!” “why tf do u look like that?” “hey leader, it’s not too late to delete this now bestie :)” does fun ig lives. on variety shows as a joke his members tease him there as well. really great at fan-service and pulls the whole “pretend boyfriend” scenario with fans (the delusional fans are gonna act up if he keeps this up...). taiju- (if shinichiro did not exist in this au OR if you wanted both in the group) photos of him at the gym, photoshoot photos. inui- similar to if he was in toman, his ig would just be a lot of cool and cute photos of him from behind the scenes of dramas or photoshoots. a soft visual king. occasional selfies with koko and bike photos. kokonoi- has a personal youtube channel but he would be Drowning in sponsorship videos all from high-end designer brands. he’s just casually flexing that PPL in his vlogs. ig feed is a lot of #ootd photos or pics taken with inui. him and inui would be makeup brand ambassadors or faces of brands (ex: like jennie from blackpink represents chanel). in this case kokonoi would be the face of fendi (he wears fendi slides in the manga cover) and inui would be the face of jimmy choo (his heels in the manga cover looked like jimmy choo but i could be wrong.. but u know what i mean)

BACKSTORY :
mila hoffmann-lee was born on june 5th, 2000 to an american-korean mother and a german-korean father. her mother, monica lee (born 1971) is a lawyer, currently practicing in seoul, south korea. her father, thomas hoffmann (born 1973) is an engineer, currently working in seoul, south korea.
mila was born in detroit, michigan as the third child of her family, youngest to her older sister, sierra (born 1994), and her older brother, jamie (born 1997). the hoffmanns moved to portland, oregon in late 2000, when mila was six months old. in 2005, the family then moved to san francisco, california. in 2006, mila’s younger sister, natalie was born. in 2009, the hoffmann family moved, yet again, to munich, germany. the three older siblings were put into an english-speaking international school while natalie was put into a german kindergarten. in 2013, mila’s family, minus her older sister who had started university in the UK, moved to seoul, south korea. her family hasn’t moved since then. her older siblings live in the UK, having both graduated from university.
throughout the times that mila was moving around the world, she developed a passion for gymnastics. she started gymnastics at age five, and at age six, she had already passed three levels. she was a mini competitive gymnast when she was seven years old, making her the youngest on the team by four years. because of her extreme skills and young age, she was predicted by all of her coaches that she would go to the olympics someday. unfortunately, when mila had to move to germany, she quit the sport and refused to join a german gymnastics team out of stubbornness. there, she joined a british dance club, thus earning a passion for dance. still having all of her tumbling skills from gymnastics, mila was a very talented member on the team.

FACTS :
mila auditioned secretly for SM in late 2013. she told her mother that she was going to her friend’s house. in her audition, she sang someone like you by adele and she danced to growl by exo, as well as freestyling.
she became a trainee in january 2014 but didn’t start training with NCT until november 2015.
mila trained for two years and four months. she was supposed to debut with red velvet but she was taken out of the plans because the SM staff thought that she would fit better in NCT.
mila didn’t tell her school friends that she was a trainee until the day before she debuted.
she hates her korean name.
mila said that her father’s korean last name (before it faded away) was kangjeon. since that name has japanese origins, mila believes that she has/had some japanese relatives.
mila had severe confidence issues when she was a trainee, which lead to her developing anorexia nervosa. she never received treatment for her disorder, but she improved a lot when she started training with NCT.
mila has a room in the nct 127 dorm and in the dream dorm. in the 127 dorm, she shares a room with haechan, in the dream dorm, she has her own room. she has half of her things in each dorm and she spends half of her week at each dorm, as well.
when jonghyun passed away, mila’s depression intensified to an extreme extent. she had suicidal thoughts at one point but she never told anyone. mila was seen crying very hard at his funeral next to yeri.
in 2017, mila had gotten jonghyun a ring as a christmas gift. unfortunately, jonghyun passed before she was able to give it to him. now, mila wears the ring every day on her thumb because it’s too big for her finger. she panics when she doesn’t know where it is.
in may 2018, mila had a whole psychiatric evaluation. she was diagnosed with severe anxiety, depression, OCD, and anorexia nervosa. she was already aware of these conditions, the only reason why she was evaluated was because of taeyong.
mila doesn’t have any medication for her anxiety or depression. she has medication for her OCD which she takes daily.
mila also has hand tremors and low blood pressure. she doesn’t have any medication for this, either.
mila has a stutter. it’s not that severe anymore but mila said that it used to be really bad when she was a child and that there are still times where you can see her stutter now.
when mila graduated in june 2018, everyone in NCT at the time (NCT2018) came to her graduation.
when nct 127 was on tour in 2019, mila, doyoung, mark, and haechan flew to las vegas to see ariana grande in concert. they flew back to LA that night for the show the next day.
once, mila was doing a vlive and she fell asleep. she had been out for ten minutes before haechan came into their room and saw her. he finished the vlive and then proceeded to tease her for it for days after.
when mila first went to japan in 2017, she cried. she was so excited to finally see japan. yuta and mila explored the city for hours because mila was so excited.
mila is adorable when she speaks japanese. she literally has everyone whipped.
in march 2021, mila started seeing a therapist after taeyong had spoken to her in december about her mental health.
mila calls the older members by “hyung” instead of “oppa” because it makes her uncomfortable to use the word. there are only a handful of people that mila will call “oppa”.
mila’s vocal range is from Bb2 to Bb7. she is considered one of the best vocalists in the kpop.
she has perfect pitch and can sight-read.

ok so first of all i think blackpink is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo overrated. like all they do is make various poses and jennie basically takes the spotlight. like i cant think of one song where jisoo was on top of the line distribution. second of all, idk what happened to bts but i dont know why bighit thought they should be involved in english music! dynamite was a trash song btw i dont get people who think it is. we need more songs like fire and mic drop. and last, idk why people keep saying jimin isnt fine........ he is
