Sorry if this is something you don’t have an answer for, but I was interested in what Hasegawa’s plan for Hama and Watari would of been if they didn’t die, since it was confirmed he was planning it before the Chapter 4 trial, and that plan explicitly involved taking advantage of each remaining students weakness to increase his chances of winning. I have a few ideas for them personally (Okazaki, Family, and Depression for Watari, Christianity, Prison, or Harada and Chiba for Hama). But they don’t seem as simple as returning Hiroaki’s reward, stealing Wada’s food, or giving the threat to Tamba. so I’m wondering if they would have had something tailor made to mess with them, or if they would get something more general.

the plan was to drive them to fighting - he already very much saw watari as a suicide risk and he saw how poorly hama did when he was fighting with chiba, specifically how irrational and emotional he became. he would guide them towards bigger and bigger fights to destabilise them both

In regard to people mostly chosing white actors, part of it might be that people haven't had as much opportunity to become familiar with the work of POC actors. I've tried seeking out some films after following this blog and except for a couple that I've found on YouTube I've not had any luck. Even extremely famous films like 7 Samurai I can't find on any Streaming services, but every service has several Cary Grant films.

This is why video propaganda is so good, it makes me able to see "ah yes that person IS perfect for the part"
