people will sometimes act like I made a noble choice going into public interest law instead of biglaw but that is not the case. biglaw is boring and I cannot tolerate being bored. it is not worth it to me to make 3x more money but work way more and have a boring job

Free piece of advice for the young people: there’s a particular type of embittered adult who will tell you that adulthood is a boring, tedious slog. They like to talk about the drudgery of middle class existence, and are for some reason particularly fixated on repetitive suburban aesthetics. These people are not your friends. Being in your 30s is better than being in your 20s, and literally everything is better than being a teenager. Don’t let boring people make you dread growing up.

It’s the 25th anniversary of Lorena Bobbitt cutting off her husband’s penis, and just a friendly reminder he was a rapist and abuser and she was found not guilty by reason of mental disease or defect because of PTSD/Battered Wife Syndrome. I got called for an interview! When I got there tho, the interviewing partner was like "good to see you again" & i clearly didn't know wtf he was talking abt. So he was like "yeah, we met a few years ago at [x event]" I had almost entirely forgotten this info bc I was incredibly fucking wasted at that event & have no memory of whether or not I made an ass of myself. 💀😭

He didn't say anything else abt it & I think the interview went reasonably well tho, so hopefully it's fine

New 'Bootcamp' boyband.

According to sources a new boyband has been formed at Bootcamp with 5 solo contestants thought to be more promising as a group.

The boyband made up of auditionees: Louis Tomlinson, Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Niall Horan and Zayn Malik

(Liam being one of this years re-auditonee’s) The boyband are yet unamed.

Previous groups formed at Bootcamp have usually been doomed from the start and although usually making it through to the live shows don’t go much further. Futureproof, Hope and Miss Frank to name the most well known,

‘Unsinkable’ Molly Brown

Mrs Margaret Brown (Molly Brown) was a 1st class passenger on Titanic. She got her ‘unsinkable’ Title due to her surviving Titanic, evacuating all women and children she could see or hear and ordering lifeboat directors to go back and save those left behind in the water.

After Titanic's sinking Molly and other survivors returned to land via the Carpathia ship. She then began to organize a relief system for those traumatized and poverty-stricken survivors who became destituted.

She tirelessly established the Survivors Committee which gave her name the spotlight and fame she still has to this day.

Molly brown was a major womans rights activist and the first women to ever run for congress (1914)
