Aw, hello and welcome!

Thank you! I am an old and I have been a fan of That '70s Show since I was in middle school (which was like, 2004) and watched the season finale live and all that good stuff. It will always hold a special place in my heart (and especially Eric and Donna!), and I've written a lot of fanfic and made a lot of photo edits throughout the years. 😁

When That '90s Show came around I was shocked, but delighted. It is so, so fun for me to see my OTP back on my screen and to see their daughter have adventures, interact with her grandparents, etc. Also, LeiaxGwen truther until the day I die, idc.

I think that Leia and Jay got back together/are an established couple again, and so Leia's two grandpas are threatening Jay into behaving/being a gentleman with her. If he should set one toe out of line, well...

I think Donna and Kitty (and Leia) are reacting to whatever is happening with Jay and the grandpas. Leia is annoyed/not amused. Donna and Kitty are happy, and it's like they've been in cahoots. Maybe the adults all conspire together to impose some boundaries on Jay and Leia for the summer?

just gonna ramble for a moment about the ninjago x star wars fic i was working on and forgot about and now have no clue where i'm going with because i forget to actually write down my notes

as it stands, i'm at the very begining of a new hope (ninjago edition). Wu Skywalker is pulling together a team of very special force sensitives to save the galaxy. Currently he has three partially trained and working with him, ready to take down his brother and former master, lord garmadon. He's just met for the first time the intended forth member of the team, a mandalorian bounty hunter by the name of Kai Smith. Cole Brookstone is a grey jedi. Z4N3 isn't force senstive. in fact, he's a very strange droid. But he's on the team, with the terms that Wu will help him attempt to uncover his past. He's currently stationed to watch over princess leia organa. Jay Lars is Lloyd Skywalker's older cousin. He moved out several years before, and has been recruited by Wu. Lloyd Skywalker still lives with his adoptive aunt and uncle, and dreams of the day he can leave tattoine. Leia Organa has hired a mandalorian bodyguard by the name of Nya Smith. 

When Lord Garmadon and his troops take Leia's transport, they capture both the princess and her bodyguard. Z4N3, R2D2, and C-3P0 escape to the surface of tattoine, not far from the oasis that is ninjago city.

That's the third of the fandom I don't have a problem with, as long as they tag it correctly and clearly that it's a T9S fic, and don't have issues with ppl who don't like/are meh about T9S (and from my polls, it seems to be a large chunk of the fandom. Around two thirds, I'd say). From the fics I've seen, most of these fics are from ppl who are newer to the fandom, so yeah.

It's the other two thirds that I have more beef with. The non-beef is that ppl seem to be burned out bc of their disappointment with T9S. The beef is that now future fics are almost nonexistent. Is it bc of the burnout? Maybe, but the trend towards these AU JH get together in a different way fics have been around since @those70scomics penned hers back in the day, and there are so many of them now that it's getting a bit stale. Give me a future JH fic/verse raising their family, or an ED one without T9S, and I'd be so freaking happy. Or a heavily, heavily edited T9S verse, without the name Leia (it's imperative) and within canon (so Betsy exists and Jay is Kelso and Brooke's younger son, and both Jay and let's say Sarah are considerably younger).

The T7S Fandom is in this really, really weird spot right now...

After conducting a large variety of polls and such, there are two very different camps, from what I've been witnessing.

A third of the fandom is where they're T9S or bust and they want to simply consume more T9S content. Cool.

But the other two thirds of the fandom aren't really happy or are just meh about T9S, and as a result the wind has been taken out of their sails in terms of creating content. There are less and less future fics, and what remains are all these JH AUs within the realm of the OG show. There gets to be a point where the 593rd AU version of how JH got together gets stale, where this history is rewritten but not much more is typically detailed after the fact. I want to see the gang in their 20s, 30s, 40s, and so on. There used to be this content, way back in the day, and the remnants of this was stored in interesting universes that have now largely fallen by the wayside.

Now, I'm basically one of the only active verses remaining. I'm really hitting a brick wall, tbh. After what happened with T9S, one would think that others would enjoy and try to capitalize on this kind of future fic content (aka, after T7S's original canon, since Jay is obv the replacement for Betsy in T9S, age wise). Is there even a point in me continuing in my endeavor, when the energy for future fics in the fandom is merely a dull whisper of what it once was?

What has been your favorite Jeia moment so far in season 2?

hi!! i’m actually super happy w the jeia content from this season. obviously i would’ve preferred an angst era, but since im kind of expecting the show not to get renewed following the october block, it was nice to get some good material!

i will most likely do a deep dive in a later post, but my OBVIOUS fav has got to be the “i really do love you” scene. it was just so sweet, and yes i know how rushed jeia has been and they rly haven’t gotten an overt amount of screen time, but i love that jay is just so giggly and nerdy over leia!! it is so sweet to me, and i rly rly loved ozzie standing up for jay here. the way leia looks at jay is so frickin cute too omg

and then honestly all of 207 was very fun!! this exchange was SOOOO jeia in a nutshell that i can’t help but have it as a fav:

leia: when you were being sweet back there, that was so sexy.

jay: i wasn’t trying to be sexy. i was just trying to be nice to your grandpa
