It was the morning finally Christmas Day.Jax woke up from his sleep to find a small pile of presents at his door. He looked a little surprised someone had actually given him gifts since he was a complete asshole to everyone. He expected them to be rigged with traps or atleast be a prank.

Curiously , he opened them up. Inside the red box there was a jumper inside not much like his exactly but it was blue and the insides had a very wooly like texture and there was a few of his favorite snacks and as the cherry on top there was a Christmas card he opened.

He instantly knew it was you who made it because zooble hates his guts , ragatha can’t stand him , Cain is just Cain and the rest is obviously a no. When he sees the poorly scribbled hearts inside he instantly knew it was you because you’re the only one dumb enough to be this thoughtful to someone like him.

Though his face softened when seeing the gifts feeling rather touched but he’s too prideful to acknowledge it. Instead of balling up the card shockingly enough he somewhat smiled at it for a moment putting it in his drawer before hardening again.

“Y/N’s so damn corny all the time..”*huffs rolling his eyes*

Next day in the circus they were on a slime adventure and goo got all over his clothing so when they got back his only option of clothing was the jumper I got for him

Jax frowned at the state of his clothes, then looked down at your jumper. He considered his options for a moment, then sighed.

“Fine. I guess I’ll have to wear this for now.”

He reluctantly put on the jumper, feeling a little embarrassed to be wearing something that wasn’t his own style.

“But I’m only wearing it because I don’t have anything else clean…”

Not long after you see him wearing it , you smiled at him touched but also it took you by surprise that he didn’t even throw it away. It made you think he might be capable of actually being nice for once.

“Jax..you’re actually wearing it?I really hope you like it.”

You smiled tenderly at him clasping your hands together rather touched by it. When he noticed the silly smile on your face his eyes avoided your face a little embarrassed. Despite rolling his eyes scoffing is cheeks seemed to turn a slightly deeper shade of purple, though he did his best to hide it.

“Don’t get all sappy on me for wearing your rags , none of my clothes are clean right now. Doesn’t mean a thing.”

He couldn’t help but notice how happy you seemed that he was wearing the jumper. He couldn’t deny that he felt touched by the gesture, but he was determined not to show it.

“Yea right….”

You stared him with a smile knowing he’s clearly lying about it with your hand resting on your hip tapping your foot , he then sighed at you.

“Okay Fine…it’s kinda nice…thanks Y/N.”

The last part in a mutter but spoke of your name softly. He begrudgingly rested his hand on your head ruffling your hair somewhat gently but despite the awkwardness you smile at the affection.

He didn’t like being all corny so instead of saying it , him even touching you without throwing you over a cliff or putting you in a deep fryer is considered a rare type of kindness for him but you eased into the feeling of his hand.
