*wipes tear* I can't believe my babies are finally in my TS4 game. They're all reimagined for the most part, especially Davi who I wanted to capture more of his mother's side, but still retain their general vibe/vision I had always intended for each of them. Gave Javar a beard because yes. I'm excited to start a gameplay with them — :') uni, perhaps?

Bandgang Javar – Bandman (Self-released)

Bandman is as raw as it gets, but keeping it real doesn’t always make for good music. Bandgang Javar is probably the most elusive of all the Bandgang members. He only reminds us of his existence once a year with a new tape, being busy with other (not very legal) occupations. Javar makes no secret out of it, as he states quite plainly on “I Ain’t Gotta Rap” that he sells “pills and pussy.” Street cred earned him the status of the rawest and most real of all the Bandgang members, but he’s hardly grown as an artist during his career.

Bandman is no exception. It’s 30 minutes too long, and only posse cuts make it stick. Javar never really raps; he’s more like a grumpy uncle saying raw and outrageous stuff over the beat. If it’s really outrageous, like his verse on “Wrong with Me” (which remains the most ignorant 30 seconds of rap music of the past two years), it works. His best lines stay with you for a long time (“I ain’t worried about that little cheese you’re flashing I already ate” from this tape, for example). But if he just spits out the regular “street” lines, like hundreds of other artists do, it tires the listener very fast. “Money 2” is one of the worst tracks here. When you hear rhymes like “AR on the table, I ain’t worry ‘bout no haters”, or “We don’t have that type of props, that is why they keep getting shot,” they don’t even make you chuckle. 

When Javar brings female guest stars to trade bars and get male-female perspective in the middle of the album (on tracks “What Was Said” and “All New”), it brings some freshness to the stale topics of the mean streets. It goes downhill from there. The Detroit MC is clearly a sprinter, not a long distance runner. Thankfully, his team members come for help, and six posse cuts make the tape worth a listen. Javar makes a 25-30 seconds appearance, delivers a few pounds of ignorance and fades into the background. And that’s all he’s good for. A few cuts on Bandman would make for good singles, but the whole tape is a slog.

PART 4 OF THE FONTS!! part 1part 2 part 3 --------------------------------- "Modern" types: Slither Slither, originating in the year [1997] is a modern typed font that usually persues a life of ophiology, also known as studying Snakes, due to their bones over the years having slightly split, being able to now ruffle and slightly enlarge like cats do, making multiple parts of their bones pop out to seem more intimidating, which does not hurt the skeleton at all. They also have snake-like engravings on their body, which Snakes are usually very intrigued by, allowing them to quickly bond with different Snakes, making them optimal for the job. Frankfurter One of the less 'sleek' of the moderns, these have a slightly cartoonish style to their bones, seeming slightly more like a Comic Sans than a Modern. Their bones seem silver, and when in the right light are completely snow white. They are also very bubbly and kind, and have a passion for cooking, specifically Donuts for a reason that scientists have not figured out yet. This strange interest seems to originate from the fact they can also mold their hands slightly, being able to secrete a slightly waxy, and sticky substance out of the cracks in their fingers, allowing them to swiftly cook and make delicious foods. Javar This font is one of the rarer of the modern fonts, bearing more resemblance to the Papyrus font too. They have also evolved to always be a uppercaser, since no lowercaser, nor title or regular case Javar has been discovered, despite being around since around 15XX. They are also kind, but sometimes a little primitive. They also have a thick accent, sometimes Russian, sometimes a other language.
