Another Adventure Line Daycare/TSP Daycare AU doodle ft. Jazz (Lil' Jasper)

Based on a cat meme and a leg cameo of Herb, one of the caretakers of the Daycare! ^^

she has a fascination with his teeth.

he’s always known it— from the first time they met, when he paid her his best, roguish smile, and her eyes drifted to the dangerous glint of his fangs.

this was, of course, seconds before she bolted, and for months he’d done his best to keep everything predatory about him hidden, including (especially) his teeth.

but now, even with her snuggled on his chest, content and dozing, he catches her gaze fixed on his mouth, the little indents his fangs purse into his bottom lip.

“I love you,” he murmurs, peering down at her, studying her. minutely, her eyes follow the motion of his canines.

she likes his lips, of course. he’s made sure of that. tongue, too. these were pleasureable things, though, flesh almost the same as hers. she’s comfortable with them. she recognizes them.

but his teeth are a foreign artifact, something that signifies the difference between them, a reminder of how alien he really is. they’ve always obsessed her, even before she loved him back, even when they disgusted her.

and he can’t help himself. he feels her heartbeat pick up, a gasp settle in her throat. he can smell the dread coiling around them both.

and she lets him. it’s one of the things he cherishes most about her— that he could do anything to her, and she would let him.

he lifts one of her delicate (human, god, so human) hands to his mouth. he kisses each of her knuckles, smiling when she sighs, warm and pliable.

he prises a single finger from her, gives it a languid, savoring lick. and with the gentlest, tenderest pressure, he presses a fang into the soft meat of her fingertip. not enough to break the skin, but enough to be a warning, he could. it would be so easy, so simple.

he meets her eyes, dilated, peering back at him.

in an instant, in the span of one of her rabbit-quick heartbeats, he could become the heinous, violent thing she feared him to be.

and yet— he smells her desire, too. beneath the anxiety is the luxurious scent of want. the braiding of these primal, sensuous sensations.

he’s teaching her: fear doesn’t negate the lust. in fact, sometimes they are the same thing.

Has anybody else read the I Hunt Killers book trilogy?

(First tumblr post) I’ve barely seen anybody talk about these books and I wanna post more about them but I wanna see if people have ever actually read them.

And if you haven’t read them, THEN YOU TOTALLY SHOULD BECAUSE GODDAMN THESE BOOKS ARE GOOD.

Also I’m going to write some fanfic about them too so if anyone’s interested let me know.

Obvi fanfic is whatever you want and can divert from canon as much as you like but at least when talking abt canon I don't think it's fair to Yasmin to ship her with the doctor. Like I get the appeal, and I think if the doctor was in a different headspace as 13 it absolutely could work. But shipping 13, the doctor born in the loss of everything 12 had learned to let in, won't let people close. Yas and the others have to fight tooth and nail to get info out of 13 and more ofen than not it comes from other people or in a passing comment. And it's just not fair to Yas to make her have to do so much work to be in the Doctor's life when the Doctor is actively trying to push her away

this is a timeloop story, and characters subconsciously remember previous loops (and can start remembering them consciously), and all of them die at least once. if you want specific characters, im gonna say Amelie Maçon (as she gets a shown death that is most significant to the plot as a whole), Rashmi Jamil (theyve got a similar deal to Amelie, but that particular death is never shown) and Jasper Jasmine "Jazz" Jekyll (she remembers the loops, including her deaths, clearly and consciously). i was gonna also add whoever has the highest shown death count but after counting thats a four-way split and Jazz is one of them so

[EDIT] The idea behind this image started off as a joke that then turned into canon in the Daycare AU, so yeah. Caretakers Herb and Avery found and bought Jazz off of Craigslist and are now raising him.

4. How easy is it to earn their trust? 5. How easy is it to earn their mistrust? 15. How do they speak? Is what they say usually thought of on the spot, or do they rehearse it in their mind first? 32. Do they have a go-to story in conversation? Or a joke?

A) Why are you excited about this character? E) Are they someone you would get along with? Would they get along with you?

4- How easy is it to earn their trust? Fairly. He kind of gives everyone the same default level of trust, which, is pretty high tbh. There is deeper trust that still needs time to form, but even that, probably happens a little faster than is sensible. But, you know, he's inexperienced, still a little bit naive. Of course, some things he won't trust to others... if his family told him not to. Because there's no-one he could trust more than them.

5- How easy is it to earn their mistrust? The last answer may give this away, but, not very! He still doubts at, I would say, a normal level, but he's the type to try to brush those doubts away. Even in an extreme situation, he wants to believe, and to trust, he often searches for a way to explain it that doesn't mean having to face that. But once he's lost trust in someone. Actually lost it. It... would take a HELL of a lot to change again.

15- How do they speak? Is what they say usually thought of on the spot, or do they rehearse it in their mind first? Well, Milo knows that different places and people have their own customs and he is a guest in their spaces, so he's pretty careful, he tries to make sure he's not going to offend them. But, he's also a fairly open book. So if he does stop and think about what to say, it'll be pretty clear- often he'll even sort of run through his thought process out loud~

32- Do they have a go-to story in conversation? Or a joke? I think I'd have to play him a lil bit to get the best feel for this, though I'm not sure he'd be great at putting jokes together, and he'd prefer to hear others' stories- which vary based on who he asks- than his own. I think if he tried to tell the same story everywhere he went, he'd get bored of it fairly quickly. My thinking so far is that he'd probably prefer to tell stories about the last place he visited, wherever that happened to be. I mean, even if he's telling people about the next town over, it's all new and exciting to him~

A) Why are you excited about this character? I suppose the biggest reason is, he was the first proper character I ever made and wrote as, and I missed him! A lot in his background and story have changed, but now, he's back- and I think he'll get to have way more fun and more freedom after the reboot than his previous iteration did.

E) Are they someone you would get along with? Would they get along with you? Hmm... I do love Milo as a character, and as a person if he were real. And if we only met occassionally, as part of something else, I think the answer would be yes from both sides. But I feel like if it were a few hours focused on each other, he'd tire me out, and he'd either not know what to do or try too hard to help and not want to leave? And if he visited too often, I'd run out of stories and, not have enough of a life to make new ones fast enough to keep up, and he'd just be awkwardly trying to engage some other way, not really knowing what to say or do. So yeah, if we imagine more of like 'my child/nephew/neice's friend who comes over after school or at weekends sometimes, great, awesome! But actual one-on-one direct friends probably wouldn't work, though it wouldn't be us disliking each other or anything.
