My mind is still blown that the same dude worked on the two shows I just mentioned, I guess he has range, or more likely a specific strength. Brooklyn Nine-Nine (1ª Temporada) [Brooklyn Nine-Nine]

Essa série é tudo de bom, ainda que com algumas ressalvas... O gênero estadunidense de comédia sitcom, que ganhou força nos anos 70 e revigorou-se nos 90, ainda precisava, para esta década, de uma reinvenção. Tendo sido método para absolutos sucessos, como “Friends”, “The Big Bang Theory” e até “Two and a Half Man”, já se percebia então a necessidade de uma nova cara, um respiro para comédia norte-americana; o fato é que, nessas e noutras produções, a piada numa sitcom vinha mais por um preconceito (e pela sua manutenção) do que pela situação em si. Daí, surgiram temporadas inteiras de sitcons absolutamente machistas, homofóbicas e segregacionistas - a risada da pessoa diferente “porque ela é diferente”, e não pelo que acontece com ela. É no contexto da resposta a essas produções que BROOKLYN 99 é lançada, em 2013, desconstruindo padrões e rompendo com as “narrativas tradicionais” sobre a polícia estadunidense. Ainda que, em partes, pareça apologista às forças armadas dos EUA (que, há de se convir, são muito mais violentas e desonestas na vida real do que a turma de Jake Peralta), e ainda apresente piadas gordofóbicas e etaristas (sobretudo na maneira como Scully e Hitchcock são tratados pelo restante do elenco “desconstruído”), num geral a série se sai muito bem ao fazer humor às custas de, realmente, situações engraçadas, estranhas e inesperadas; tudo que uma boa comédia deve fazer. Evitando a manutenção de estereótipos e preconceitos, BROOKLYN 99 vale a pena não só por divertir, mas por fazer calar os ciclos de violência verbal e imagética que incessantemente se repetem na vida das pessoas 'fora da tela’, o que é extremamente importante nos dias de hoje. Ansioso pela próxima temporada!
