Rurouni Kenshin remake, Season 2
Tumblr media
By the way Rurouni Kenshin remake season 2 (the Kyoto arc) has been released recently.
Two episodes so far.
(Haven't actually tried tracking for real but I would assume that Crunchy Roll should have it? At the very least it is airing now on TV Tokyo.)

Mazinger z Poster Framed Print Finest Quality Print Dry Mounted For a Perfect Finish Molding:Professional 1" Flat Top Black (Solid-Maple Wood) Includes Acrylic Plexi glass & Metal Hooks installed ready for your wall Print: Bonded & Dry-mounted Print on Foam Core. Perfectly flat and smooth finish Mazinger Majingā) is a long-running series of manga and anime featuring giant robots or mecha created by Go Nagai in 1972. It introduced the concept of mecha as robots which are ridden by humans and controlled like vehicles to Japanese science fiction (previous depictions of human-controlled giant robots in Japan, such as in Tetsujin 28-go, depicted the robot as remote-controlled, rather than vehicle-like); it would thereby be a primary source of inspiration for the Super Robot sub-genre, particularly throughout the 1970s.[1] The art poster is printed on high quality card-stock mat paper The framing adds depth, giving the display a unique "looking through a window'' appearance. The print is bonded to foam core on a hot vacuum press. This bonding gives the print a perfect flat and smooth texture. This process also insures the print will never fold or fade with age or moisture. This wonderful display makes a thoughtful and original gift containing a classic vintage touch yet modern design, allowing it to fit alongside both modern and classic decor.

Sazae airs on Sundays.
Sazae is a slice-of-life family cartoon that began as a comic strip. It airs internationally on Sunday evenings. The scheduling choice was very intentional as it grew into TV - this was to preserve it as a way to end the weekend, or you might say, to maintain Sazae-San syndrome.
Sazae-San Syndrome refers to that melancholy, dreadful feeling with the harsh contrast of weekend freedom and the oncoming work week.

I'm catching up with anime today.
I'm clearing through the English dub of Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian. And it's a good show. But one particular situation bugged me, and I'm going to post it here because I'm a NERD. And when it comes to anime, I rarely complain about stuff like "animation quality" or frame counts or whatever. Its TV anime, there's only so much you can do. But bad continuity in perspective IRRITATES ME. anyway. We have this shot here of Yuki speaking to her mom. Great shot, clearly shows the mother in the lower position both in literal perspective and hierarchy in the family, and Yuki clearly in the higher. Great! Lighting is great too!
Tumblr media
And then we have this shot:
Tumblr media
Mom looking up at her, also a great shot. Really emphasizes that mom is looking UP to her daughter in the hopes that her daughter will elevate her out of the darkness. Great! BUT THEN SIN IS COMMITTED NEXT:
Tumblr media
Where is the perspective on this?! The first shot clearly shows Yuki halfway up the stairs, with the bannister and baluster shown in the first shot on the left of the shot. It's probably just the next section of stairs, but it isn't shown in the previous shots, and it feels super jarring. So I ask myself, why would they do this? It's an adaptation, so maybe it's a shot they wanted to keep from the manga? Maybe it's showing that, even though Yuki is considered this golden child to her mom and grandfather, that she herself is only halfway there? I don't know, it just bugged me, is all. I'm a nitpicker, so It's probably not gonna matter to 99% of the anime community.

Pokémon Fun Facts - A Tad Nerdy
Pokémon Pokémon Pokémon What More Do You Need 😍
Pokémon – What A Buzz Pokémon, the globally popular franchise, had humble beginnings in the world of gaming and entertainment. The concept of Pokémon was developed by Satoshi Tajiri and Ken Sugimori and was first introduced to the world through Nintendo’s Game Boy. Siren recommends: Japanese kids shows
So while researching about one of my favorite shows, I found out through NHK WORLD PREMIUM you can watch Japanese TV programs from roughly anywhere in the world.
I’m not a tech kid so you’re gonna have to figure out all the tech stuff… but what I can help you with is suggesting two of my favorite kids shows from NHK that also broadcast to world premium! They’re aimed at kids of all ages so it might be useful for learning Japanese!
all times shown are in EST! I also suggest keeping an eye on the official schedule because things could change: https://nhkworldpremium.com/en/schedules
Go! Go! CookR’n! (Mon - Wed)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yup, right off the bat it’s a show about cooking.
However while the cooking is the main focus, there is also an animated story that is actually intriguing! The story is about two siblings named Luna and Soleil who are on a mission to find out what happened to their dead parents, who used to be the legendary hero CookR’n.
I talked about this show previously but it’s such a gem. The characters are great, and whenever they do a collab it’s always chaotic and hilarious.

Once again like CookR’n, this is a variety show that showcases a variety of stuff, too much for me to name, but also has a story that airs once every two(?) weeks. It’s also MY CHILDHOOD FAVORITE SHOW AND I STILL LOVE IT
There’s this world called “Geo-world” where the main symbol of the world is this giant tree. The leaves are made from energy, born when a human challenges themselves to try new things. One day all that energy on the tree was stolen by the Mononoke family, who live on the other side of Geoworld.
17 elementary and junior high school kids are chosen to help restore the tree by fighting TV Zombies who are stealing energy from humans. The official site has 5 minute recap videos for all the episodes so far.
They also do live broadcasts on Thursdays. And yes the tree had its energy stolen TWICE not including the initial theft. (The second was like last Thursday whoops)

KAMEN RIDER GEATS
-One of the most recent of the Kamen rider series and a very cool epic one too! Awesome suits, great characters, a twisting turning plot and LOTS of action!
-
Premise: Unbeknownst to us, a secrect competition, THE DGP: THE DESIRE GRAND PRIX, is held where, everyday normal people are chosen, given transformation buckles and become Kamen Riders! Using various power up buckles, they compete against each other in various challenges, battling strange otherworldly invaders called the Jyamato! The one lasts to the end and wins the final challenge receives the grand prize: their greatest desire granted!
-Ace Ukiyo, aka Kamen Rider Geats, is the reigning champ, winning the Grand Prix multiple times in a row; however, his motives are not what they seem! Is he a hero or villain? How and why is he continuing to compete? What are the Jyamato? How is the DGP able to do what it does, and what is the true reason for the completion? You’ll have to check it out on TokuSatsu or Tubi to find out!
