This sort of ties in with the tips, but I find we do well with Pebble, Goob as a backup distractor, Glisten due to his wonderful extraction speed, Vee because of her ability and extraction speed, and a healer if possible. Not always required, but it doesn't hurt. I've gotten pretty far with them."

Attack on Trump Fuels Fake News about Stabbing of Bolsonaro

Left and right used the episode to revive false narratives about the 2018 attack

About to turn six years old, the stabbing by Adélio Bispo on then-presidential candidate Jair Bolsonaro in September 2018 continues to fuel fake news and distortions, both on the left and right.

The episode resurfaced after the attack on Donald Trump this Saturday (13). Shortly after the crime, Congressman André Janones (Avante), an ally of President Lula, posted: "Now we know what the militiaman went to do in the USA as soon as he left the presidency. It's the 'Fake Stabbing' setting an example."

This Sunday (14), Carlos Bolsonaro (PL), son of Jair, reposted an old interview video of former minister José Dirceu (PT). In the post, Carlos suggests that Dirceu had classified the stabbing as "our mistake" – distorting the statement by the PT member.

speaking of rec lists, I was looking through ao3 fics I saved for later. And I found an old aos spirk fic I saved with time travel and multiple universes that I remember reading back when it was a wip years ago. ITS FINISHED

It was one of my favorite star trek fics ever. I think that's probably obvious in hindsight, given how much that fic ended up inspiring me - it's probably why Guardians cyclical timelines appealed to me afterward, it's probably why I'm so fond of writing time travel and universe crossovers and exploring those possibilities, and this fic really did an amazing job at doing those things and doing them in a very straightforward readable understandable way. I've only read half, but you can bet now that I've found it again ill be finishing the story as it's finally completed!

In order to win and prevent a consolidation of the conservative agenda, Andre Janones says Brazil's left needed to steal a page from Bolsonaro's playbook

To bring down far-right Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro, Andre Janones had to fight fire with fire.

The little-known 38-year-old lawmaker was running a longshot presidential campaign until he joined forces in August with President-elect Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, adding bite to the leftist’s campaign with his raw, no-holds-barred approach to online politics.

Janones acknowledged in an interview that his use of ad hominem attacks, exaggerations and even physical confrontations with opponents had not been constructive for public discourse. But he said that, in order to win and prevent the president from consolidating his conservative agenda, Brazil’s left needed to steal a page from Bolsonaro’s playbook.

“This debate impoverishes democracy. It’s a scrappy debate, in which you provoke, you use debauchery, you joke around,” said Janones, who denied accusations that he uses fake news. “But we need to save democracy. Look at the scenario we’re living in.”
