So when I went to the Jamie Muscato concert the other night there was this bit where he talked about how he workshopped lots of musicals. He was saying how it was sad that a lot of people never hear these workshopped musicals because they don't get any funding behind them and so they never go public.

So he then said he was going to sing a song from a musical he workshopped in 2017:

to nobody's surprise I'll say jgj (always) but also I saw Jamie Muscato in the concert version of Once last year and he had me giggling kicking my feet with that fake-ass Irish accent and a guitar

15. favourite musical that needs to be revived

uhh I'd love to see Rent make a comeback on Broadway! I think it’s relevant now as ever and it would be great to see.

16. favourite musical that’s underrated

I'm gonna go with Once.. again. It’s not a perfect show but there being a Czech character is kind of special to me and the folk-style soundtrack is great.

Jamie Muscato and Connor Jones understood the assignment in their roles as Enjolras and Grantaire in the Staged Concert version of Les Misérables and here's why:

- Grantaire did not take his eyes off of Enjolras in 'One Day More'; he was staring at him the whole time. Like, even when the other Les Amis members sang, his entire attention was on Enjolras.

- In Red and Black, Grantaire was constantly trying to get Enjolras' attention. He didn't even take his attention off of his Apollo when Marius was singing. He was watching him so intently.

- When Gavroche announced that Lamarque was dead, Grantaire shook his head and walked away in despair because he knew what that meant. He didn't smile again until Do You Hear the People Sing?

- Grantaire pulled Gavroche to the side and put his hand on his shoulder, warning him not to get involved.

- During Do You Hear the People Sing?, Grantaire was looking on in despair as Enjolras sang about going to the barricades and Enjolras noticed, and gave him a pat on the back to reassure him.

- After this, Grantaire began to join in and started to sing. Enjolras noticed this and had the biggest smile on his face once he saw that Grantaire was partaking.

- During 'Little Fall of Rain', Grantaire's attention was on Enjolras as though he was both wishing it was him in Eponine's position,

- Enjolras was stood with Grantaire at the beginning of Drink With Me, and they both turned to look over when their friends began to sing. You could see Grantaire growing more and more upset before his part in the song, and Enjolras' eyes were fixated on him once he did begin to sing. Enjolras took a step toward him and placed his hand on him again, and rubbed his finger across his shoulder in a comforting manner before attempting to hug him close. Then Grantaire walked away, crying. And Enjolras sat opposite him with his face in his hands during Bring Him Home. He occasionally looked over to Grantaire during the rest of the song but he looked so dishelved.

- The Staged Concert didn't allow for the usual barricade deaths, but Grantaire and Enjolras were stood beside one another at the time they were "shot".

- During Empty Chairs at Empty Tables, Enjolras was stationed at the top of the barricade and Grantaire was stood beside him with Gavroche like the little family they are.

- In the end, they were together again.

I am so in awe of their portrayal, and their talent is phenomenal. They understood the assignment perfectly and I love ExR so much.
