I’m shamelessly sharing and recommending mine, as it is a novel I already fully wrote but I’m in the meanwhile still editing and perfecting to the detail.

I simply changed my original characters with Regulus and James, and hopefully I’ll publish my actual book sometime soon.

Short summary:

Regulus black getting in vicious cycles while grieving his brother, and being constantly attacked by a classmate.

James potter helping him as the same man is pushed off a cliff, and the situation quickly degenerates into insanity.

The fact that I know 100%, without a doubt, that James Potter would have loved Regulus more than anyone has loved anything or anyone is insane. It’s written into the very fibers of his being to show love and you just know he would have give everything, anything for Regulus.

James would have loved him with every cell in his being that he could, and the way I just know is immeasurable to me.

Anyway I’ve suffered trauma, and will never be the same.

An ode to fanfic writers.

Regulus Black has saved my life.

A character that has not more that three lines in cannon has become my saving grace. When I became completely indifferent for the outside world and couldn’t find a reason to wake up everyday he was the only reason I tried. I’m not saying it’s healthy or a healthy coping mechanisms but he was the only reason.

I thank every day to the generous fanfic writers that gave me a reason to keep living (honorary mention to MesserMoon, MsKingBean89, Solmussa, chazzledazzlethem, wrongcaitlyn, zeppazariel, lumosinlove) for giving me a reason to keep going. To force my soul to appreciate life in a way I was unable to do for myself at the moment. I wish every fanfic writer knows how much love I have for them, for the simple act act of sharing their most true self.

I try to comment in every fanfic I read full of appreciation for your work but if it was untouched, even if I haven’t have pleasure I reading your work, THAK YOU, in name of every person’s life you’ve touched.

If you’re still “neutral” about a literal fucking genocide and wondering which “side” to take while also being in the avatar fandom… boy do I have news for you.

Let’s try and dissect the film and characters with some of the events happening in real time to help you understand (and this is just scraping the surface. This is an incredibly layered film I could write a whole novel)

The sky people came to Pandora because nowhere else inhabitable. Earth is dying and it no longer exists to the humans for a prosperous future

The the sky people see the indigenous Na’vi people as blue monkeys, savages… less than human consistently degrading them with racist remarks and hatred

The sky people decided that the resources on Pandora were incredibly valuable and could help their economy their infrastructure: Pandora is now a business

Selfridge is nothing but a spineless pencil pusher simply signs off on everything in the name of a quarterly statement ; which very much includes the demolition of a sacred home to an indigenous group of people; families, babies, women, children, and men

Quaritch and his minions act on orders and destroy half the Omatikaya clan wiping them out with deadly gasses, weapons of mass destruction, bombing and incinerating them to ashes

The remaining Na’vi gather their people and fight back as means to defend themselves while the humans have the audacity to act as if they’re not the ones who started it all

The sky people destroying villages, lives, resources, the forest biome are all an act of “defending themselves against the Na’vi”

These are just a few examples

Now that I’ve barely scraped the surface do you see the connection between the sky people and isnotreal? Do you see the propaganda that has flooded and corrupted the news outlets and mainstream media? Have you seen the way people have talked about the Palestinians? There is a connection here that I am trying to make for the avatar fandom who are not speaking about this or are siding with isnotreal. You sexualize the Na’vi in your fics, you adore their hair their outfits their indigenous culture, calling them beautiful “exotic” (a problematic term in itself) You want to go live on Pandora to ride an Ikran? Yet you remain neutral? Or side with the colonizers? Shame on you.

No one knows colonizing more than white people, because for America; death is business.

This genocide is the result of a colonial system

We will see a free Palestine in this lifetime.

Also final note: I’m aware and disgusted and deeply hurt with how Zoe signed the letter to bring the hostages home and then switched sides after 4 months of slaughter. I will never forgive or forget her. And with that being said I am no longer supporting her as an artist. Me watching avatar is for the ensemble, world building, and fictional characters only.

Chapter update - The river that connects us

Hi everyone! This "in between" chapter is turning out to be more important/connected to future chapters than I intended/expected, so I don't want to rush it. It'll only feel forced.
