What is the function of a fuel injector?
Your fuel injector is a crucial component of the mechanism that extracts gas from your tank and powers your engine. It is an essential element of your vehicle that you must maintain for the engine to function correctly. If you don't clean your injector on a regular basis, you'll have a lot of problems.

The Blizzard is based on a 1950 Bentley concept, of the same name, for a two-seater sports car to rival contemporary models such as Jaguar's XK120. The car was never put into production and now Blizzard Motor Cars intend to build fifteen examples of this forgotten car.
The Blizzard is powered by a 4.5-litre Bentley Continental R-Type straight six bored out to 4.9 litres, with increased performance coming from aluminium cylinder heads, forged pistons, triple carburettors and modern electronic ignition.

Teacher's curse and blessing
Mr Thayer was a picture book teacher. He was a passionate teacher. He loved science and he loved spreading knowledge to young people. He didn't work for the money. He had enough money. His grandfather had been born with a golden spoon in his mouth and, with creativity, hard work and the necessary genius, had managed to make an impressive fortune. The money that had founded the school where Mr Thayer taught came from Mr Thayer's grandfather's wallet. Hardly any of his colleagues or students had any idea of his wealth. He was always immaculately dressed, but you couldn't see how many thousands of pounds one of his suits cost. He drove a 20-year-old Jaguar, which was regularly restored at horrendous expense. But most people saw an old used car. And that was also in Mr Thayer's mind.
Mr Thayer didn't really care whether someone was aristocratic or a snob, whether someone was rich or poor, whether someone was descended from William the Conqueror or had arrived in the country three months ago on a rubber dinghy. He differentiated between industrious and lazy and between disciplined and undisciplined. And those who were lazy and/or undisciplined found no favour in his eyes. He had done well with this for decades. He had moulded captains of industry and ministers out of spoilt brats. But now he was confronted with a new enemy: People dumbed down by social media, effeminate and comfortable consumers of state and other services. People who saw it as his duty to ensure that their children got good grades, even if they were stupid, lazy and effeminate. People who put the word ‘resilience’ in every other sentence without knowing what the word meant. Mr Thayer took note of this. Worried. But he didn't change his strategy. ‘After my son came home with a grade five for the fourth time this school year, I'm asking you for a detailed strategy on how to make sure he passes this school year.’ There were five or six mistakes in that one sentence. For that alone, Archibald deserved every single five. Even if his mum had made the spelling mistakes. Mr Thayer called Archibald in. Archibald was a declared enemy. An unathletic young man who was conspicuous for his disastrous academic performance and for the crazy things he spread on social media. Mr Thayer asked why Archibald hadn't explained to his mother that there were no good grades for not knowing anything and being ignorant in class. Archibald only said that he wasn't adequately motivated and encouraged. A phrase he had obviously learnt from his mother. Mr Thayer rolled his eyes. ‘Lecture on the role of the German Empire in colonialism, 45 minutes, next week Friday. If you do well, I won't fail you.’ Archibald stood up, rolling his eyes, and left the office.
The next Friday, Archibald stood at the blackboard and read out something obviously copied from Wikipedia, not even edited by ChatGPT. No use of other media, monotonous lecture, not even correct in terms of content. ‘Due to catastrophic performance in several subjects, I am unable to support your son's promotion to the next school level.’ Hardly any other email had given him so much pleasure recently. Unfortunately, he had messed with the wrong one. That very evening, Archibald's mother cursed Mr Thayer. And the curse hit him hard and immediately.
A murmur went through the class when Mr Thayer stood in front of the teacher's desk the next day and leaned casually against it. He had never shown so little body tension before. But that wasn't the reason for the murmur. Mr Thayer was wearing white tennis socks! The man who had never shown any sign of imperfection! And that was just the beginning. The more alert of his pupils counted three grammatical errors in his remarks by the end of the lesson. And had he seriously said goodbye with a ‘Have a relaxing afternoon!’? After a few days, Mr Thayer was wearing jeans and sneakers. After a week, half the school flinched when he drove into the teachers' car park a quarter of an hour late with a roaring engine in a souped-up BMW. His language became more brash and rough. His lessons seemed increasingly ill-prepared. Now the few sensible parents began to complain about him. The headmaster, who was supposed to take over from Mr Thayer next year, summoned him several times. And finally they were forced to suspend the teacher who had embodied the spirit of the school more than anyone else. ‘Fuck you!’ was Mr Thayer's reaction.
His car, which simply stood out in its neon green paintwork, was seen outside boxing clubs, shisha bars and betting shops. From time to time there were rumours that Mr Thayer had also been seen in these places. But nobody could really prove this. Shortly before the start of the new school year, the school authorities received an email in which Mr Thayer wanted to be transferred. To a comprehensive school in a problem neighbourhood. He wanted to teach technical work and PE there. The letter was full of mistakes. But his wish was granted. It had been no problem to fill his old position. And finding a teacher among the anti-social Scallies had been a challenge. Whatever had got into him, he was supposed to be preparing the half-strength children of immigrants and the unemployed for a future as a bouncer or car tuner.
‘Mr Thayer, nice to have you at our school!’ the headmistress greeted her new colleague in an uncertain voice. ‘Is your new office good enough for you!’ ‘Mr Thayer was my old man, call me Kieran!’ ‘But according to my file, your first name is…’ Kieran scrunched up his nose and snotted on the floor. ‘Bitch, what to call me is my business, got it!’
His boys went through fire and water for Kieran. He taught them everything he knew about tuning and repairing high-powered cars. And about mixed martial arts. And Kieran was damn good at both. And he was convinced that you didn't need to know more than that. Damn it, one of his students was supposed to write a paper about the Krauts and their time with the Kaffirs. Ey, he showed him how to quickly copy it together on the internet. And then they both went to smoke a shisha.

Help an african/latina nonbinary transfemme achieve her dream
Ever since I was a little girl I've always wanted a 2 door coupé with a performance engine. Me and my brother both developed an appreciation for cars and this led me to be an excellent car handler and driver (and led him to 4 or 5 car accidents in as many years) but unfortunately to this day I don't have my own car to redline the RPMs on through the empty highways in the middle of the night and race against the local octane freaks... If all of my followers give me just 5 US dollars I could get an older model Ford Mustang or Chevrolet Camaro or maybe even a Dodge Charger. If all my followers gave me 10 USD well maybe I could even get a slightly newer Jaguar F-TYPE or a Hellcat ... Please I can't live like this anymore I'll even sacrifice performance at this point but at least I need a Mazda Miata MX-5 for the fun ride and gas mileage...
Peace and love on earth... and on the roads as well. Please reblog 🙏🚘🏁

Evolution of a Legend: The Ford GT40's Origins in the Mustang-I
Before partnering with Lola on the GT Mk6 in August 1963, Ford's vision for the GT40 was heavily influenced by the sleek design of the Mustang-I. The prototype Ford GT's exterior was essentially based on the Mustang-I, showcasing a striking resemblance between the two. Notice the date on the picture.
As the project progressed, Ford opted to merge the best of both worlds. They took the redesigned Lola GT Mk6 chassis and wrapped the Mustang-I-inspired body around it, ultimately giving birth to the iconic Ford GT40. This fusion of design and engineering expertise would go on to create a racing legend.
TIMELINE:
October 7, 1962 - Mustang at Watkins Glen
October 20, 1962 - Mustang at Laguna Seca
October 26, 1962 - Lola Mk6 showed up incomplete at the London Car Show

Gay lyrics I never hear anyone talk about
As a community, I feel like we don't analyze queer coded lyrics if they're from Taylor's early albums or have he/him pronouns in them. I think that's a waste of our brains, so here's some lyrics I like to interpret as gay:
Love Story:
"I sneak out to the garden to see you, we keep quiet because we're dead if they knew, so close your eyes, escape this town for a little while" Like, this song is about Romeo, but without context, it's crazy gay. A secret, forbidden love, so forbidden they would DIE if found out, that isn't accepted by the small town they live in???? Gay
But Daddy I Love Him:
"These people try and save you because they hate you", "Sanctimoniously performing soliloquies I'll never see", Thinkin' it can change the beat of my heart", "If all you want is gray for me, then it's just white noise" This is so conversion therapy coded??? Obviously Taylor has never gone through conversion therapy, but... the villains in this song trying to change the beat of someone's heart (aka who they're attracted to), while claiming to be saving them (aka being saved religiously), while secretly hating them (homophobia). And they're taking away all the color from this person (the rainbow!). GAY
Guilty As Sin?:
On a similar note, "Someone told me 'there's no such thing as bad thoughts, only your actions talk'" is crazy too. A really common refrain from homophobic religious people (this song is explicitly religious, too) is that being gay is fine, as long as you don't act on it. I doubt that's what the song is referring to, but it would add so much meaning if it was.
King Of My Heart
"Your love is a secret I'm hoping, dreaming, dying to keep", "We rule the kingdom inside my room, and all the boys in their expensive cars, with their range rovers and their jaguars never took me quite where you do" Okay, yes, the title is KING of my heart, but let me have this one. One, their relationship is a secret confined to private spaces like the speaker's room, and two, this new relationship is much better than all of the speaker's previous relationships with boys.
Ours
"It's not theirs to speculate if it's wrong", "Seems like there's always someone who disapproves, they'll judge it like they know about me and you, and the verdict comes from those with nothing else to do" ...ok this song is probably about John Mayer, but if it WASN'T about him, it would be so gay

WOC Question game! ([original post] by @praxcrown5)
What detail always catches your attention in WOC?
What do you like most about the fandom?
Who is your least favorite character?
My answers: 1. A MOVABLE TRANSMISSION THAT REPEATS THE ANATOMY OF BONES (at least from the front), YIPPIEEEEEEE
Because of this, cars remind me of crocodiles, idk. I also think their transmission depends not only on the functionality that needs to be performed in the future, but also simply because of progress and time. So, a more modern version on the left, an older one on the right.
2. It is entirely the sincerity and devotion of people to this universe. Of course, I have been here not so long ago, but I perceive the WOC fandom as a kind of good neighborhood, where everyone knows each other, understands everything, does not condemn (at least I have a good experience at the moment). And if in particular, then I really like reading other people's opinions and rethinking/thinking up some moments in cartoons. It feels like you've had your eyes opened for the second time. At first, because of the slogan, you think that you need to enjoy the environment in life, and not just immerse yourself in work with your head. And then you read the posts, and *oplya* - the movie also reminds you to take care of yourself (remember McQueen's poor tires and his ignoring breakfasts before RS), which is clearly not enough for some nowadays (like me). 3.
(from Cars: Mater-National Championship) I think you know how it feels when you see an unknown person in front of you and your whole gut subconsciously dislikes them. That's what happened to me with this Jaguar. I extremely dislike fanatical and extremely emotional personalities who are almost ready to faint at the sight of an idol, as if they saw God firsthand. And it just seems to me that Philip drives down the path every day after his boring job and picks flowers from the lawn, or buys them at a flower shop, which he later uses as an offering to the McQueen altar in a secret room of his garage, where all the shelves are dotted with merch of his favorite racer. Perhaps he is ready to sell his child, if he has one, for the sake of a couple of photos of the Idol from a close angle. Philip definitely has something like a towel, where the inscription "McQueen is love, McQueen is life" is emblazoned. No personal life, only races and tea. He's like Lil' Dipper, only if I can justify with a stretch that she is 'young' and does not know how to express her love in the right way to Dusty. And then this dude, judging by the model, is far from young, which adds points to his creepiness- Anyway, that's my opinion. Despite my dislike, if you like him, I wouldn't mind listening.
#Wocquestiongame#pixar cars#cars fandom#TRANSMISSION IS MY LIFE#cars mater national championship#I'm Philip's hater. And I'm not ashamed of it!

RUNDOWN - A small local performance specialist. He's unusually good at sourcing rare parts... and sometimes they're in used condition. He's responsible for turning Ratchet into a high-powered monster of a car, and since Ratchet disappeared, his little brother Firestorm found a tiny soft spot in the old mechanic's heart. Rundown's shop is notorious in the underground for creating impressive engineering, but also for cars mysteriously disappearing, rumoured to be gutted for the black market parts trade. Rundown himself is a Jaguar Mark X prototype, made much earlier than the actual model's year. He's dignified, even keeled, and dangerously intelligent. ANd hot as hell but hey who's counting-

⠀ര ( ˶°ㅁ°)⠀UNWRAP...⠀LEMON ON ICE! ⠀28042024⠀❘❙❚❙
As mentioned, all came to light in early 2024, revealing what all the rumoured tension had been about inside the company walls. Former BONSOIR leader (and known to still be quite an influential figure inside the company despite not being active anymore) Kil Jiyeol was cutting his contract and leaving his JAGUAR days behind—to apparently start a company of his own, although that had again come from word of mouth rather than any sort of official statement from neither the man himself nor any of his closer associates. Alongside this announcement, it came to light that his fellow former BONSOIR members Mai and Hyeonmin had left a long while prior—as early as June 2020, barely a month after BONSOIR’s disbandment notice. This obviously left the public and company in a sort of state of disarray, no one quite sure what was going to happen with CHERRYADE as a result. Month after month crawled by, and the people were starting to worry that this was a ‘SWEET (SOUR)’ situation. Until mid April arrived, and teasers for the mini album ‘LEMON ON ICE’ officially began to be put out, and everyone collectively breathed a sigh of relief. They weren’t over just yet. Released on the 28th that same month, ‘LEMON ON ICE’ was, in three words, the car era. Every group has one, don’t lie. To sum it up relatively quickly, CHERRYADE’s most recent comeback was—as always—a neon-light-filled, argument-littered, and accessory-heavy affair, this time with added revving engines and multiple car innuendos.

for our five-track-run, ‘Can’t Breathe’ is up first, with lyrics written by jalen and doyeon comparing the object of their affections to a ray of light: ‘shine on me again, it’s amazing, your prism.’ second of all is ‘Make Me,’ in which they speak of wanting to ‘run, run, run and run more,’ written by duo jaehee and gogo. not quite the suggestive anthem people thought it was going to end up as from their first impressions of the title. ‘Nonstop’—what I expect to be the most performed—written in part by hasun, compares the members themselves to super cars. second to last ‘Winner’ (another I think will be performed during this promotional period), with lyrics by haeil, asserts that ‘I'm [the group] back, everyone pays attention.’ finally we have the jalen and yijun-penned (although it’s not a track sung in mandarin this time) ‘Limit,’ filled to the brim with cold hard confidence: ‘this is the main character, that's our role.’ it’s cars, it’s cool conviction, and it’s undeniably CHERRYADE—the only thing missing is the sex track.
ഒ⠀from user mingohwi⠀20052024
the ups came in the form of their happiness similar to how the mood had been back in the ‘SWEET (SOUR)’ era, where all of them were just glad they hadn’t been tossed aside. they filmed more vlogs, showed more behinds, and were very online generally. extra content was fun (including a racing game night slash sleepover at a house they’d cobbled together to rent for a couple nights, a go-karting session, and a sort of surreal makeshift fast & furious movie roleplay scenario they were clearly making up as they went along, where they all made up different personas for themselves and went down all sorts of different action and drama-filled plotlines), and they all seemed to be getting along just fine; jaehee and yijun having apparently buried the hatchet once again for this era and playing civil with one another. they were just having fun, plain and simple as that.
fans were also given more insight into the creative process behind the mini album (recording, practising, etc) and a few core staff members made some recurring appearances—the main production team, their choreographer, and their stylist. the members of staff were all similar in age to the members themselves (on doyeon and jalen’s end, anyway) and so the close bond they were shown to have was one that most enjoyed being privy to. it sort of created an illusion of viewers being closer to them—like they were being let into a secret, or something.
on the flip side, this also seemed to be a bit of a party era for the boys, which some fans didn’t seem to enjoy as much as all the videos showcasing how much the members were. it was club after club, blurry photos of shots in hands and far-too-serious dance-offs in the middle of the floor to whatever mindless EDM song the DJ was blasting in the background. someone even said jalen took over the DJ booth one night, but since nothing’s been provided to back up the story you can take that one with a grain of salt. things were also a little tense considering jiyeol’s departure, especially considering how jalen was known to be close to him and that he’d shared a group with both yijun and jaehee for a while, and yijun addressed the situation on a live by simply saying that he was ‘glad he [jiyeol] was finally gone.’ which of course didn’t go down well with fans of the man, so he got into a little bit of hot water for that one.
ഒ⠀from user hasunshine⠀21052024
as for the styling, outfits were all in the racing-adjacent region (although some performances ditched the jackets and more recognised uniforms for racers and stepped into more of a streetwear direction to fit in with the street side of the concept) and sometimes were described as such an assault on the senses colour and pattern-wise that it was a little hard to watch their performances. some fans then came to the defence that if you turned your head and squinted, they actually looked great. or just defaulted to the ‘the fans that get it, get it’ approach. I personally liked them, because the feeling of being attacked visually is something I think is quite fun. accessories included overly large chains, painted flames on most outfits, too many rings in too many different colours and sizes to fit on any one of their fingers, (at times) ridiculous headwear—I mean, why did hasun have a tanghulu headband on for one show? nobody I’ve asked can give me the answer—and, somewhat reminiscent of the ‘SWEET (SOUR)’ era, a lot of neon, although this time it was in the form of body paint and hair dye that made them look like glow sticks when the lights were low.
all in all, ‘LEMON ON ICE’ proved to be just as eventful as all that came before it. the group never seem to have a moment where there’s nothing going on, even if it’s as small as a nonsensical (but unnecessarily heated) argument over what they’d bring with them onto a desert island. witnessing all of it as it came was as fun as I’ve come to always expect them to be. it falls somewhere in the middle of my favourite eras on the whole. Just behind ‘DOUBLE DIP,’ maybe.

I don't wanna live forever
In the video Zayn arrives in a classic convertible, similar to Blank Space. She 'called out' Harry's cars in KoMH "'Cause all the boys and their expensive cars / With their Range Rovers and their Jaguars"
Then the hotel looks a lot like the Bowery Hotel where Harry stays in NY. Also, not to sound flippant... but it's Zayn and Taylor.
Harry and Taylor refer to Hallways in 10 songs and in the Perfect MV.
There are white roses throughout which Taylor pulls apart. Since Red, TS Roses have been about Harry, he has a rose tattoo. On their May anniversary in 2013, she posted roses saying she thought something would grow. She threw white roses in the Blank Space MV.
The people in the background are dressed like Harry and Taylor at the Victoria Secret show, which is also the subject of So it Goes.
They trash the hotel room, which mocks Perfect's MV. 1D's made a mess, Taylor and Zayn smash a mirror and a lamp.
i don't wanna live forever came together very quickly. wrote it with taylor and sam dew and produced it at home mostly on paper sounds. recorded taylor at my house. zayn sent parts from LA – we did it in a week basically. i've never had something come out that quick — jackantonoff (@jackantonoff) December 9, 2016
Zayn said that Jack approached him, then Zayn spoke to Taylor who already knew the track. I think given the importance of Jack and Taylor's relationship it's more likely Taylor choose Zayn and Jack was an intermediary than Jack raising it.
youtube
The collaboration itself is enough to confirm who it is about and caused a directioner-swiftie Twitter fandom storm. Many viewed it as a way for them both to mess with Harry, I think in part it is a response to Perfect. To suggest it's not about Harry for either is... a choice.
When was it written
Jack and Taylor were in the studio recording the bulk of Reputation in September 2016, Zayn was was in LA then, so maybe. But Fifty shades wrapped in April 2016 and it was likely wanted then.
Live performances
Taylor performed it 7 times in promotional events and then only twice in concert, interestingly both times was it the first week of June:
June 9, 2018, Manchester's Reputation Surprise Song. They were in a good (and maybe more) place then. Also Harry's hometown (he was in Florida)
June 3, 2023, Chicago Eras surprise song. It is sadder that above, the MH split announcement was 2 days later so maybe related. Haylor relations seemed warm before and after that.
Taylors split from CH and Harry left to shoot Dunkirk in June 2016. From I did something bad / High Infidelity / Ole we know CH was over earlier and they had spent some time together in February and April 2016. Playing this in June, when Harry left for Dunkirk and his IG going colour after the 2016 Met Gala has me side eyeing the end.
Lyrics
[Verse 1: ZAYN] Been sittin' eyes wide open Behind these four walls, hopin' you'd call It's just a cruel existence Like there's no point hopin' at all
Eyes wide open is a reference to Eyes wide Shut, the Stanley Kubrick erotic psychological drama. Like Fifty shades is features a masquerade party.
Harry and Taylor refer to waiting for calls in: AYHTDWS "Here you are now, calling me up, but I don't know what to say" August "Cancel plans just in case you'd call". Maroon "the rust that grew between telephones" FTDT "Even my phone misses your call, by the way"
Cruel existence is a theme of referring to their relationship as something they are trapped in. Cruel Summer "It's a cruel summer with you", MMIH "Cause once you go without it / Nothing else will do" and others. Taylor also had no hope in Treacherous "This hope is treacherous"
[Pre-Chorus: ZAYN] Baby, baby, I feel crazy Up all night, all night and every day Give me somethin', oh, but you say nothin' What is happening to me?
Taylors pre-chorus is the same but "I gave you somethin', but you gave me nothin'"
IWYW has a similar line "You always knew how to push my buttons / You give me everything and nothing" and Say "don't go" "I said, "I love you" (I said, "I love you") / You say nothin' back"
[Chorus: ZAYN] I don't wanna live forever 'Cause I know I'll be living in vain And I don't wanna fit wherever I just wanna keep calling your name Until you come back home x2
Taylor has referred to not wanting a life without Harry in Is it over now? "Oh, Lord, I think about / Jumping off of very tall somethings" Hoax " Stood on the cliffside / Screaming, "Give me a reason"" This is me trying "Pulled the car off the road to the lookout / Could've followed my fears all the way down"
In Where do broken hearts go "Now I'm searching every lonely place / Every corner calling out your name / Tryna find you but I just don't know / Where do broken hearts go?"
I don't want to fit wherever seems a response to Perfect "Or the arms that hold you any time you want them / But that don't mean that we can't live here in the moment / 'Cause I can be the one you love from time to time". HS had not been available because of the band, but wasn't in 2016 when Taylor wanted someone there for her but I expect was focused on his solo career and Dunkirk so not in the band or available. To me this line could be why it still didn't work out.
[Verse 2: Taylor Swift] I'm sittin' eyes wide open And I got one thing stuck in my mind Wonderin' if I dodged a bullet Or just lost the love of my life, oh
In second Verse Taylor has let it go, dodged a bullet/lost the love of her life is pretty straight forward - but it's an interesting link to Love of my Life on Harry's House which was still 6 years away. (yes I know his only 13th track on the album he released on their 10th anniversary is about England.... ....)
[Bridge: Taylor Swift, ZAYN, Both] I've been looking sad in all the nicest places Baby, baby, I feel crazy I see you around in all these empty faces Up all night, all night and every day I've been looking sad in all the nicest places Give me somethin', oh, but you say nothin' Now I'm in a cab, I tell 'em where your place is What is happening to me?
Looking sad in all the nicest places reminds me of:
This is me trying: "And it's hard to be at a party / When I feel like an open wound/ It's hard to be anywhere these days / When all I want is you"
Hit's different "Freedom felt like summer then on the coast / Now the sun burns my heart and the sand hurts my feelings"
Take the cab to his place is also similar to other times they go to each others house:
DBATC: "I Take the long way home"
Wish You Would. "It's 2 A.M. in your car / Windows down, you pass my street / The memories start" and "It's 2 A.M. in your car / Windows down, I pass my street / The memories start"
[Outro: Taylor Swift, ZAYN] I just wanna keep callin' your name Until you come back home Until you come back home
Finally, home is an important concept to them. Generally, they refer to each other as home. However in this song and Sweet Creature, "Wherever I go, you bring me home Sweet creature, sweet creature When I run out of road, you bring me home"
Sweet Creature and IDWLF were both written in 2016 they refer to HS coming home to her.
The lyric 'And I don't wanna fit wherever / I just wanna keep calling your name / Until you come back home". Is a hope that eventually they will be together, but accepting not yet. This idea is in several songs:
HYGTG "Broke your heart, I'll put it back together / I would wait for ever and ever (I want you for ever and ever)"
Suburban Legends " When you told me we'd get back together / And you kissed me in a way that's gonna screw me up forever"
Someday "Someday maybe when we're old and gray / We could be in love once more / Till then I won't give my love away / Darling, I'm forever only yours"
Something Great: "One day, I'll come into your world and get it right / I'll say we're better off together here tonight"
Happily "We were meant to be but a twist of fate / Made it so you had to walk away."
Satellite "Spinning out, waiting for ya to pull me in / I can see you're lonely down there"

Howard's Car Headcanons – The Jaguar and the Man Behind the Wheel
Howard’s Jaguar wasn’t just a car—it was an extension of himself. Sleek, elegant, and impeccably maintained, the black Jaguar XJ spoke to Howard’s appreciation for the finer things in life. He had purchased it after securing his partnership at HHM, a reward to himself for all the long hours and sacrifices he’d made. The car was a statement: sophisticated, polished, and with just enough power under the hood to make it exciting.

Why the Jaguar?
The Jaguar XJ had always appealed to Howard for its combination of luxury and performance. It wasn’t as ostentatious as a Ferrari or as ubiquitous as a Mercedes; the Jaguar had a certain understated class to it, something Howard deeply resonated with. He liked the way it handled—smooth, with a bit of bite when he pressed down on the accelerator. It was a car that reflected his personality: refined and composed on the surface, but with an underlying intensity that could surprise you.
The sleek black exterior was always kept immaculate, gleaming as if it had just rolled off the showroom floor. Howard was fastidious about cleanliness, and his car was no exception. He often took it for a detailing session on weekends, ensuring that the leather interior remained pristine and the wood paneling gleamed under the sun.

Inside the Car – The Details
Inside the Jaguar, everything was organized down to the last detail, much like Howard’s life. The leather seats were always conditioned, the smell of polished wood and a faint trace of cologne lingered in the air. In the glove compartment, you’d find a few essentials—his designer sunglasses in a leather case, an extra set of cufflinks (just in case), a pristine leather-bound notepad, and a Montblanc pen. There was a sleek umbrella neatly tucked into the backseat pocket, though rarely used, and a copy of the latest issue of *The Economist* or *Forbes* in the door pocket, ready to flip through during any downtime.
In the trunk, there was a small emergency kit, but nothing excessive. Howard liked to be prepared, but he didn’t clutter his space. There was also a neatly packed gym bag, complete with a change of clothes, because despite his busy schedule, Howard tried to fit in workouts whenever he could—be it tennis, golf, or a quick run at the country club.

Music – The Soundtrack of Howard's Drives
Music was a particular pleasure for Howard, but like everything else in his life, it was carefully curated. When he drove, especially on longer stretches of road, he gravitated toward jazz—something about the smooth saxophones and rhythmic piano made him feel at ease, particularly after a stressful day at the firm. Artists like Miles Davis, John Coltrane, and Stan Getz were frequent staples on his playlist.
On other days, especially after closing a major deal or winning a big case, Howard liked to indulge in a bit of Frank Sinatra or Tony Bennett. There was something about those classic crooners that resonated with him—the effortless class, the confidence. "Fly Me to the Moon" and "The Best Is Yet to Come" were often blaring through the speakers as he zipped through Albuquerque, the volume turned up just enough for him to lose himself in the music but not so loud as to draw attention.
The car’s sound system was state-of-the-art, of course, installed shortly after he bought the Jaguar. Howard appreciated good sound quality, and nothing less than perfection would do. He liked his music crisp, with deep bass notes and clear highs, enveloping him in the rich tones of whatever was playing.
On rare occasions, if Howard was in a particularly nostalgic mood, he would play some old rock—The Rolling Stones or Fleetwood Mac. He wouldn’t admit it often, but there was a side of him that still appreciated the rebellious spirit of rock music, though it wasn’t something he indulged in regularly. These tracks reminded him of his younger days, before the pressures of being a partner at HHM, when life was a little looser, a little less defined by expectation.
⋅•⋅⊰∙∘☽༓☾∘∙⊱⋅•⋅
The Way He Drives
Howard’s driving style was much like his demeanor: smooth, controlled, and deliberate. He wasn’t one for speeding—unless the road stretched out ahead of him, empty and inviting, and then he might push the accelerator just a little harder, feeling the power of the car beneath him. But even then, there was precision to the way he handled the wheel, never reckless, always in control.
Driving was a way for Howard to decompress. When the firm’s pressure weighed heavily on him or the complicated dynamics with Jimmy and Chuck got too much, a drive through the open roads surrounding Albuquerque provided the perfect escape. He rarely took calls during these drives, preferring to disconnect and let the motion of the road clear his head.
⋅•⋅⊰∙∘☽༓☾∘∙⊱⋅•⋅
Other Details – The Little Things
Howard’s attention to detail extended to the smaller aspects of the car, too. The air freshener was a subtle, woodsy scent—not overpowering but enough to give the interior a fresh, inviting atmosphere. He always had a bottle of mineral water tucked into the cup holder, usually untouched but there for whenever he needed it.
The GPS was programmed with his most frequent destinations—HHM, the country club, and Emilia’s place—but he knew most routes by heart. He liked to think that navigating Albuquerque’s streets was second nature to him, a reflection of the many years he’d spent mastering the legal landscape of the city.
Even the radio presets were methodically chosen—jazz stations, talk radio, and a classical station he enjoyed on particularly slow days when he needed to center himself before a big meeting.
⋅•⋅⊰∙∘☽༓☾∘∙⊱⋅•⋅
Howard’s Jaguar was more than just a vehicle—it was a sanctuary, a reflection of his tastes, his precision, and the man he wanted the world to see. And, in those rare, quiet moments when it was just him and the open road, it became a space where he could let go of the expectations and pressures, if only for a little while.

It was first introduced with a V12 at its core. But before production, new legislations & emissions standards pushed the team to make big changes (among other reasons), most notably swapping out the V12 for a turbocharged V6. They took note of the Ferrari F40 and Porsche 959 when considering the change. Two cars powered by lightweight, compact engines. The change, however, didn't stop the XJ220 from performing at the top of the game for a short period of time. Making 542hp, it not only hit 217.1mph to set the production car top speed record at the time, but it also set a production car record on the Nurburgring as well. Shortlived records, but impressive nonetheless. Only 275 examples were made, which was far less than Jaguar had initially planned. These days though, those numbers make it a very desirable collectors car.
