Jack moves through the burning building. "Move!" He shouts, trying to get Nick to get out of the building or rather out of the way of the falling ceiling. Jack isn't sure if he's faster than Nick or if his shouts are hard to hear. Either way, Jack reaches Nick and throws his arms around his waist, picking him up and putting him on Jack's shoulder. Jack holds him with one arm as he uses his other arm to push objects out of his way as he carries Nick to the exit.

Once they both reach outside, Jack keeps carrying Nick until they both are safe and by the firetrucks, then and only then does he put the other down. Jack takes his helmet and mask off, breathing heavily as he turns to look at Nick.

i feel like this has been said so many times but i’m gonna say it too, a huge part of what makes shadow and bone so great is how much the cast loves their characters. you can see so clearly when the actors feel passionate and protective over who they’re portraying, and it comes across so well on screen. leigh bardugo and the casting director(s) did such a good job and we (as fans) are so lucky in who we got playing our favourite characters

Not gonna lie, I'm getting a little worried you're getting close to the Gibshop era of the show… Do I need to prepare myself and block you until we make it to Season 3? Will you be posting their kissing scenes? 😭

Haha, this ask is killing me, but honestly, it's a very valid question!

So, I’m going to be real with you because I’ve already giffed it. There is a little kissing—just a tiny bit. Mostly because, even though I don’t hate them together, I feel like they have zero sexual chemistry, and their kissing scenes are just… not it.

So yes, you’ll see Jack, but I made sure to keep the gifs as Maya-centric as possible. I always do that anyway, no matter who she’s sharing scenes with.

"Well he should eat something, because I do not want to end up on his bad side." He knew that Warren had a lot going on. But he was normally so much calmer, it was surprising to Travis to see this side of him. "Should I buy him a cupcake or something?"

Dev opened his mouth before shutting it once again.

"Nice to meet you." The girlfriend called out. But by that point he was practically at the door. Not that he wanted to talk to her, not really. It wasn't her fault that heartbreak followed him wherever he went.

She could make some calls to Commisioner Gordon, but she's not entirely sure that's what he needs. "Why don't you come work for me? Jack pauses but then nods. Lucas was right, that was more the others than him. Jack snaps to attention when the chief calls him by his first name, rather than his last name. "Sir." He starts, frowning. "I want to help, make sure you get out alive. Both of us."

"I think that would be more the others than me." Lucas said. The fact that Jack was having to help him out proved that. "Jack...I'm your chief. You are supposed to listen to me and do what I say." He said. He usually called people by their last name at work. So the fact he used his first name was saying something. That he didn't think Jack would get out of here alive if he was helping him.

Not to mention the homer that they play on every World Series highlight reel.” Jack sat back. Well then. A baseball nut, he could handle. Even if she was a geek. Sam Carter raised one eyebrow. “That enough baseball for you? Or do you need me to take some pitches?”
