It should be mandatory for all Bollywood hits to have an Epilogue or at least a reference in the director's next movie about what the characters from the previous movie are upto years after the events of the movie.
Like I wanna know how Aditya Kashyap and Geet are doing 15 years into their marriage and if they ended up buying a house in the hills. I wanna know how Prem and Jenny from Ajab Prem Ki Gazab Kahaani are doing and if Prem made her VP of the Happy Club. I wanna know if Aisha and Sid from Wake Up Sid! ended up marrying and if she published her own book with his photography on its cover. If Aditi and Jai from Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na have kids who they teach the steps of Pappu Can't Dance? If Bittu and Roshan from Delhi-6 got married and settled down in the same villa Roshan’s grandma brought him to? If Kavya and Humpty Sharma moved to the US eventually and opened their own wedding gown/lehenga shop. What country Naina and Bunny from Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani are currently in. Did Om Kapoor end up marrying Sandy after Om Shanti Om? Or does he visit the burned site to meet Shanti everyday? So many questions.

you come home after a dinner with your colleagues, the song ‘tu bole main boloon’ is playing — you suddenly realise its jazz aesthetic. you take your make up off, make yourself jasmine tea, put on moisturiser. you keep playing the song on repeat, why you suddenly remembered it after years you have no clue. but your body is swaying to it as you go around your house, picking up clothes, doing the dishes, keeping the trash out. your mum has cut peaches for you and you eat the whole generous serving after which you apply your rose oil lip balm that you hadn’t touched in weeks. the person whose text you were waiting for has responded but you don’t rush to read it, you’re in the moment. it’s not joy, it’s not happiness. it’s being present, it’s not thinking or feeling beyond the current moments. it’s new, it’s good. fifteen minutes before midnight, it begins to rain. you have no where to rush to tomorrow — it’s Saturday. you give your alarm app a rest and go to sleep, allowing your body as much as rest as it pleases. August, hello, welcome. let’s get along well.

in the lab mixing together aditya from jab we met, noor from fitoor and jai from jaane tu ya jaane na to create a bollywood main lead who could finally save the Indian cinema from it's hyper toxic masculinity era

19:45 into the absolute rom-com classic Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na bc i wanted to feel good today and revisit a little bit of nostalgia and i was in the romcom mood so. here we are. anyway, this movie is like Camp Excellence, and also astonishingly well directed, i'm glad young me had great taste, this movie is very much from the year 2008, but, along with Mamma Mia! which somehow also released in 2008, nothing else even comes close to making me love love and life as this does.

It just feels like Bollywood isn't even trying to make heartfelt romantic drama movies anymore like the ones with poetic dialogues and life changing trips and soulmatism and having the Desi elements but also the modern context we live in and the dissection of human relationships and emotions like!!!!!!!!
I feel like it's been years since I've watched something like that maybe that's why so many of us gravitate towards kdramas instead.
BOLLYWOOD YOU CAN DO BETTER!!!!!
