Schloss Einstein Folge 1067
Let's go autistic besties!
SIMON LASS AVA ENDLICH IN RUHE! Die braucht bald ne einstweilige Verfügung gegen ihn.
Simon, Ava trägt ein Hemd in den Farben der Lesbian Pride Flag. Take a hint.
JOEL!
Go Joshi! Go Joshi!
Justice for Joshua!
SIMON DU ARSCHLOCH!
PATRICK DU ARSCHLOCH! ER HAT DAS VIDEO ÜBERALL GETEILT!
Ava, Sweetie, I'm so sorry!
Bin jetzt offiziell #1 Simon Hater.
HALT WARTE ES GIBT NE POST CREDIT SCENE WO ALLE IHRE GEDANKEN ZUM THEMA FLUCHT TEILEN!

Statistik-Zeit!
(actually, i know how i feel about it. and it's not good.)
#schloss einstein#ava und noah in their main character era#justice for chiara mikka und joel#niemand kann mich davon abhalten eine liste anzufertigen#damit müsst ihr leben sorry

Borderlands: Skies the Ultimate Treasure Hunter
The Crimson Raiders enjoy a day at the beach.
*Reblogs Appreciated*
--
The Beach Day
Three drop ships are released from Sanctuary III, one at time. They break through the atmosphere for Aquator and crash onto an island, sending sand splashing high into the air.
“Woo, catch a ride!” Ellie exclaims as she exits one, shortly followed by Moxxi.
“That is, indeed, a ride,” she agrees drily, trying to fix her hair.
The second ship opens, and Tannis, Ava, Timothy, and Skies stumble out.
“Remind me never to do that again,” Tannis croaks.
“It was awesome!” Ava cheers.
“I told you guys we could’ve just come down in my ship,” Skies says.
The third ship opens, releasing Moze, Zane, Amara, and FL4K.
“It’s more fun to come down at breakneck speeds,” Moze argues.
“Yeah, gotta love the thrill,” Zane agrees.
“What’s important is now we’re here,” Moxxi says, “so where’s Rhys?”
“He should be over there,” Skies replies and everyone follows her to the beach house in the middle of the island.
As they arrive, they find someone in board shorts standing on the balcony, enjoying the warm breeze through his hair. “Hey, guys!”
“Lor!” Skies exclaims happily. “Love the new hair.”
“Thanks, mate,” he replies as he hops over the banister and meets with the Vault Hunters. “Rhys is just inside. Make yourselves at home.”
“Thank you,” Moxxi nods appreciatively as everyone goes inside.
Calling it a beach house doesn’t do it enough justice. It’s more like a small beach manor- three stories with large rooms. The first floor is just the den and kitchen, both giant. In the den, lounging in a recliner they find Rhys, wearing board shorts and an A-shirt. He immediately sits up as everyone walks in.
“Rhys’s Pieces!” Skies cheers and runs into a hug.
“Hey!” he smiles, hugging her back, and looks up at everyone else. “Welcome! I’m glad you could all make it.”

if the Inigo Montoya justice scene is one of the top most harrowing scenes for dead dad havers, what are some others?
OOH great question! i’ve been thinking about this ask for 24 hours. here are my findings:
the end of contact (1997) when the alien takes the form of ellie’s dad and they hug. this made me cry before my dad died so i can only imagine it’s lethal now
the end of interstellar (2014) when murph says “nobody believed me, but i knew you’d come back. because my dad promised me.” ough. OUGH! (this scene also made my dad cry so it’s a double-whammy for me now 🫡)
succession season 4 episode 3 “connor’s wedding” i think we’re all still recovering
the scene in “uptown girls” (2003) when the dude love interest sings the song brittany murphy’s dad wrote her as a kid, while dakota fanning dances in her recital. (rewatched this recently and it’s one of the most devastating depictions of complex dead parent grief i’ve ever seen.)
hacks hbo episode when deborah comforts ava in her childhood bedroom after her dad’s funeral ends
when mia finds her dad’s letter in the diary at the end of “the princess diaries” omgggg i’ve seen this movie 18 times but i’d never cried during that scene before LMAO
kyle ren killing han solo, specifically rey’s reaction. felt that in my bones while giffing the movie the other day.
that’s all i’ve got for now. feel free to reblog with your own favorite Harrowing Dead Dad media!

Day 2 of Ultimate Rewatch of The Dragon Prince! 🙌
AHHHHHHHH SEASON TWO SEASON TWO
Oooooooooooooooooh Janai and Amayaaaaaaaaa they don’t know it yet but they’re beginning their enemies to lovers arcccc 🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭
I love the struggle about telling the truth this season. Presenting an illusion, hiding the truth, straight out lying, etc. Rayla figured it out pretty quickly: relationships require trust and transparency. And that’s how she developed a better relationship with Callum and Ezran.
My brother came home as I was watching the escape scene, I paused it, and even though the current frame was on Claudia and “the princes” he knew exactly where I was and was like “the sarcasm thing is coming up right?” I let it play, sure enough within ten seconds we get “it’s a trick?” “Us? Nooooo.” “*thinking* *thinking* *thinking* *💡* *points* sarcasm! 😁” that part has never gotten old for either of us.
I would be here all day if I talked about Soren and Claudia’s dynamic + banter (especially season 2). I love them your honor. S-Tier sibling duo
CORVUS AND SOREN MEET BY SOREN HITTING CORVUS OVER THE HEAD WITH A ROCK how romantic (this is how Snow and Charming in Once Upon a Time started so don’t tell me that there’s no chance of Sorvus)
No actually I’m not over how Rayla was like “I was right! 😊” but then she saw Callum’s face and she said empathetically “I wish I wasn’t” and she hugs him. The Rayllum hugs this season >>>>>
VILLADSSSSSS MY MANNNNNN I LOVE YOU
His ship diverts more than one trope: “ruthless” ≠ “merciless ship”, “ruthless” = “without my wife Ruth”; “without my wife Ruth” ≠ “she’s dead”; “without my wife Ruth” = “she sadly…doesn’t like to sail 😔😔😔”. What an icon.
You know? I would trust Villads with my life actually.
I love Rayla and Berto having dialogue back and forth because that’s just Paula Burrows doing voices. (Berto my beloved unhinged fella)
Also Callum and Bait is just Jack de Sena doing voices too…anyways I love how Callum and Bait become besties below deck and stay besties for the rest of the show
I love how the breaking of the seal and hammering into the magma beast’s heart are side by side, both are breaking something, and neither can be undone.
Sometimes Viren is dramatic, sure, but I love his storytelling. Also he doesn’t shy away from saying “I’m afraid” and using words like terrified or dread. To me it’s interesting because in most stories the evil overlords never show a single weakness, but he sees his vulnerability isn’t making him seen as weak: it’s making them see him as human. And even if that tactic didn’t always work it still was a genius way to do it.
Queen Aanya. My icon. 💖 Another example of being forced to mature so soon 💔
Sarai’s final breath continues to echo in my head.
Callum’s determination to learn magic…being told again and again that he was human and he couldn’t do it…and then nearly getting himself killed by lightning…and then when he tells Rayla, very disappointedly, that he thought he could do whatever it takes but turns out he “didn’t have the guts”, and then she turns him around and says “good. /gen” and hugs him…ahhhhhhhh my hearttttt
I love you Soren realizing you made a mistake I love you Soren who lets Corvus go free I love you Soren who vocalizes you made a mistake and doesn’t feel ashamed asking Claudia for help I love you Soren who learns that you’ll never walk again and the first thing you do is say “it’s a good thing, really. I can’t harm the princes now” and re-evaluating what’s important in life.
Also!! I love you Claudia, who was indeed faced with choosing between Soren and the egg/dragonling, and immediately releases her hold on the baby dragon with a little breathless “Soren.” and rushes to his side immediately…broke my heart 💔💔
“Why think of myself as being chained down, when I can be chained up? *👍👍 aggressively*” Gren doesn’t understand that that literally had gotten me through these last few years
Viren could have easily ended everything right there. He threatened to throw the mirror into the river. But then we wouldn’t have the rest of the story to come.
Callum’s nightmare…I got no thoughts but they did it very well. It felt like we were in a dream with Dream Logic and it was the right amount of unsettling.
“Callum, please come back to me! You mean too much to me!” AHHHHHHHHHHH
I love Claudia and Ezran’s heart to heart. Like they realize that they are not quite on the same side, and Claudia acknowledges that she did do scary and confusing things. And she comforts Ezran as he deals with the grief of losing his father. And I have a feeling that no matter how much they change over the next seasons, this moment on the rooftop, consoling each other and hugging, no sides just comfort, will stick with them forever.
Sarai’s words to Callum helping him breathe have always been comforting to me. I love this scene so much. And then Callum wakes up, and he’s connected to the sky arcanum.
It takes Claudia a really long time to stop breathing heavily after doing the spell that gave Soren his mobility back. You can see it took a lot out of her, and then the…“you’re going to be okay now. That’s what matters.” As her eyes are still black…like oh I see. This one is willing to do whatever it takes to make sure the ones she loves are alright, even at the cost of her own body and soul.
Zym flying!!! Ezran’s connection with Zym!! Corvus saying “if I may be so bold, you are a weird king” “I know :)” and Rayla and Callum’s hug at the end…ugh it was so good!! 🤌
Final thing:
THEY BETTER NOT FORGET HER
I HAVEN’T SEEN HER IN FOREVER
PLEASE HAVE ELLIS AND AVA IN SEASON SEVEN OR I WILL THROW HANDS

These are all images of recent work by artist Faith Ringgold, currently on view in her solo exhibition "American People" on view for a few more days at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago.
From the exhibition press release:
"Artist, author, educator, and organizer Faith Ringgold is one of the most influential cultural figures of her generation, with a career linking the multidisciplinary practices of the Harlem Renaissance to the political art of young Black artists working today. Faith Ringgold: American People presents the most comprehensive assessment to date of the artist’s impactful vision. For 60 years, Ringgold has drawn from personal autobiography and collective histories to both document her life as an artist and mother and to amplify collective struggles for social justice and equity. From creating some of the most indelible artworks of the civil rights era to challenging accepted hierarchies of art versus craft, Ringgold has produced a body of work that bears witness to the complexity of the American experience.
Featuring Ringgold’s best-known series—such as her experimental story quilts, renowned painting series American People and Black Light, soft sculptures, performance objects, and ephemera related to her activist work—the exhibition examines the artist’s figurative style as it evolved to meet the urgency of political and social change. The exhibition also foregrounds her radical explorations of gender and racial identities, which the artist incorporates into the rich textures of her paintings, soft sculptures, and story quilts. Among the most important artworks of the past half century, Ringgold’s fabric works combine local traditions and global references to compose a polyphonic history of this country. The MCA’s presentation of Faith Ringgold: American People also includes a section with works from the MCA’s collection that contextualizes Ringgold’s wide-ranging practice in art history with works by artists either influenced by or in conversation with Ringgold or themes in her work. Long overdue, this retrospective provides a timely opportunity to experience the art of an American icon."

Founding members of Killed Women, Carole Gould (left) and Julie Devey, whose daughters were murdered by men. Photograph: Anna Gordon/The Guardian
Alexandra ToppingWed 30 Nov 2022 13.30 EST
Carole Gould’s 17-year-old daughter Ellie was killed by another sixth-former the day after she ended their relationship in 2019. Julie Devey’s daughter Poppy Devey Waterhouse, 24, was stabbed 49 times by her ex-boyfriend in 2018. Emma Ambler’s twin, Kelly Fitzgibbons, 40, and her nieces, Ava, 4, and Lexi, 2 were shotby their husband and father in 2020. Bekhal Mahmod has been in hiding since testifying against her father and uncle, who killed her 20-year-old sister, Banaz, in 2006.
Until recently, all these women had in common was grief but now they have united to become a powerful force for change in the UK, where a woman is killed by a man every three days.
The families, 11 in total, have launched Killed Women, a campaigning organisation led by families of women killed by men, in an attempt to to force change.
The range of policy demands the group is fighting for is diverse – from stricter rules around buying firearms to better education about domestic abuse and coercive control – but they will speak as one voice. “We don’t want any more sympathy,” said Carole Gould. “We don’t want promises. We actually want change, we want action.”
Gould, along with Julie Devey, has been campaigning to change the minimum sentence for domestic homicide since 2020. A government review is under way looking at whether it is right a killer outside the home will face a decade more in prison than a murder committed in the home. Currently, if a killer uses a weapon found in the home the tariff is 15 years, while one who brings in a weapon will get 25 years.
“When you tell people there is this 10-year disparity in sentencing, everybody is shocked,” she said. “So let’s see the change. Let’s see these perpetrators properly monitored, let’s stop releasing dangerous perpetrators back into society, let’s stop allowing them to change their names. And let’s recognise that domestic violence and domestic homicide is serious, and it should never be treated as a lesser crime to anything else.”
Devey’s daughter, Poppy, a quantitative trading analyst, was murdered by her ex-boyfriend Joe Atkinson on 14 December 2018. Although Poppy had 49 knife wounds and more than 100 injuries, Atkinson’s tariff was fixed at 16 years – it was like, her mum said, she was being given 10 years’ worth of blame.
“I can’t change Atkinson’s sentencing, so I can’t focus on that,” she said. “But there will be people killed this week, next week. There will be other mothers who get that police officer coming to tell them the most hideous of things has just happened and now, from that moment, their lives are shattered. So we do it for them, so they get some sense of better justice.”
The collective voice of Killed Women will be difficult to ignore, says Emma Amble, who has been fighting for stricter laws around gun licences since her sister and her nieces were killed by their husband and father. “There’s power in numbers and in having other people who are behind you and understand what you’re fighting for,” she said.
Killed Women – whose founder members also include the families of Jan Mustafa, Mumtahina Jannat, Joanne Tulip, Gemma Lynne Marjoram, Letisha Precious Shakespeare, Tracey Kidd and Suzanne Van Hagen – is calling on other families who have lost female loved ones to violence to join their ranks and for public support in the form of a GoFundMe page to power their campaigning.
The new group has the backing of Refuge, the domestic abuse charity, Southall Black Sisters and Advocacy After Fatal Domestic Abuse (AAFDA). “There is a lot to learn from this group’s collective experience,” said AAFDA’s chief executive, Frank Mullane.
The Labour MP Jess Phillips and the Conservative chair of the women and equalities select committee, Caroline Nokes, are also among the supporters. “The voices of those most affected by extreme male violence have too often been heard briefly, but far too rapidly forgotten – Killed Women will change that,” said Nokes. Phillips agreed: “This organisation could be a gamechanger and force politicians to act with the resolve this crisis deserves.”
Some families will have to campaign away from the public eye. Bekhal Mahmod has been in hiding since testifying against her father and uncle who killed her sister, Banaz16 years ago.
Speaking to the Guardian on a withheld number, Mahmod said she “hated” not being able to join the other families in the campaign physically but wanted to raise her voice to keep alive the memory of her sister and other killed women.
“Everyone’s got enemies but I wouldn’t want anybody else’s heart to go through this. It’s something you never heal from,” she said. “But what does help, is the hope that we can change things for other families – we can give them a chance to have a life.”

homesickness for reesker from the bthb? <3
There’s a box under the bed that Ava hardly ever opens. It’s roughly the size of a shoebox and filled with memories. Something she’d bought over with her from South Africa when she made the move to Chicago now over two years ago. She had chosen to travel light, mostly, but that box contained most everything she didn’t want to part with. That she didn’t want to forget. The small things and moments that made up the pieces of her.
That afternoon, though, she wasn’t even looking for it. In fact, she had almost completely forgotten its existence until she went hunting for her running shoes, which had turned out to be under the bed, but were now lying forgotten beside her, in favour of The Box.
Ava opens it up carefully, and really, it’s a wonder the lid ever went on in the first place. It’s packed to the brim, full of photos and scraps of paper and postcards and other memorabilia from her life before America. One where the weather was warm and the sun kissed her skin and she hardly ever had need for a coat, completely unlike Chicago where it seemed you were bundled up for the most part of the year.
Sat cross-legged on the floor, Ava picks up the first photograph that had fallen out when she’d lifted the lid off the box. It’s of a house. A house with light coloured walls and a pale blue door. One where the large, fiery red crocosmia peeked out from over the wall and a chestnut tree could be seen, its branches extensive, spanning wide across the front garden. That was the tree she had broken her arm falling out of when she was eight, Ava remembers, smiling at the memory (though she hadn’t been smiling much at the time, she recalls). She traces a finger across the photo. This was the house she had grown up in, her and her sister Hilde.
Hilde. And that’s who the next photo is of. It’s the two of them sat at the kitchen table, Hilde in front of a large iced cake with seven multicoloured candles, a tiara on her head and dressed in a pink fairy costume. Ava remembers that day well: it had been Hilde’s seventh birthday, and her mother had been crying moments before they had bought Hilde into the kitchen because it had almost been a year since Hilde had been given the all-clear from the oncologist and there was a time when it was hard to believe she’d pull through to make it this far. But she had. She was a fighter.
Ava misses Hilde, wonders what she’s doing right now in that moment, halfway across the world, all those miles separating them as she puts the photo carefully aside and picking up a stack from the box. Next come photos of her childhood bedroom, of her school friends, of trips to Sea Point and down to the beaches. Her parents on their twentieth wedding anniversary. Seashells. Her fifth birthday candle. An assortment of other small objects that send the waves of memories rolling over her, like the tides did down at Long Beach. Letters and birthday cards and ticket stubs. Her mother’s face smiling up at her from grainy photographs. Moments perfectly frozen in time, ones that Ava can almost hear.
She doesn’t even realise she’s started crying until the tears fall onto the photograph she’s holding. It’s one of her with her friends, just after high school had finished. She remembers that one well. And it all just hurts. She doesn’t mean that particular photograph. It’s all of them. All the memories. The time and distance separating her from them, from being back there in her mother’s kitchen, from driving down those familiar roads, from her father’s laugh, from Hilde being just across the hallway from her.
It leaves a deep ache inside of her, which was why she never really opened that box. She didn’t want to get swept up by the past. Because even though she’d chosen to leave, it doesn’t mean it didn’t hurt. Especially with all that she had left behind, and how, since leaving, she hadn’t been back. Not once. Sure, there had been phone calls and video chats but it wasn’t the same. It’s strange to think of the place, with all the people she’d known and loved and grown up with still existing, carrying on, without her there.
The bedroom light flickers on and Ava looks up, blinking at the sudden light, to see Sarah standing there in the doorway. She hadn’t realised she had been sitting there for so long that it had already gotten so dark. She hadn’t even heard Sarah come home, so engrossed as she’d been.
“Avey? Are you alright?” Sarah asks, concern filling her voice as she notices the tear tracks on Ava’s cheeks, coming to sit beside her there on the floor, leaning against the bed, the pile of photos and memories littered around the two of them. Sarah doesn’t remember ever having seen the box or its contents before.
Ava just shrugs noncommittally, watching as Sarah comes to sit beside her there on the floor, leaning back against the side of the bed. She wasn’t quite sure how she was supposed to answer that, to put it all into words.
“It’s silly,” Ava finally begins, filling up the silence, “but I just miss it,” she reveals, gesturing to the photographs strewn about as she leans back against the wall, bringing her knees up and burying her face in them, not wanting to look at Sarah right now.
Sarah takes the opportunity to take a look at the photos Ava had gestured to. There’s one of two girls, one older, with the same eyes, the younger with decidedly curlier hair, both grinning up at whoever had been taking the photo.
“Hilde,” Ava says, by way of explanation when she sees Sarah looking, and Sarah nods in understanding. Ava had told her so much about her sister Hilde, and Sarah could only imagine how hard it must be for Ava to be apart from her, timezones and oceans separating them.
“You both look so happy here,” Sarah smiles, holding the photo carefully in her hands, a window into the past.
“We spent almost the entire day at the beach that day,” Ava says, remembering the day fondly. “Neither of us wanted to go home and we begged and begged to be allowed to stay. And then Hilde fell asleep on the sand under a pile of towels and mum freaked out because she thought we’d lost her.”
Sarah smiles at that, and inches her way closer to Ava, so that they’re both sitting side by side, backs leaning against the wall.
“The sunsets are amazing, Ava tells Sarah, showing her a photo. “The camera doesn’t do it justice. “I’ll have to take you there, one day,” she promises.
“I’d like that.”
“I guess it’s just, even though home is here now, with you in Chicago, it’s hard to see it that way sometimes, when almost all the memories are attached to another city on another continent.”
“You don’t have to justify yourself, Avey,” Sarah assures her. “And it’s not silly. Not at all. Of course you miss the place you grew up, where you spent most of your life. Where your family are. It’s only natural. But, we could go visit, if you like?” Sarah says carefully, posing it as a question, eyes trained on Ava who snaps her head up at that.
“Really?”
“Sure,” Sarah affirms. “Of course, we’d both have to get time off agreed, but I don’t think that would be a problem. I’d love to see where you grew up, and I’m sure it would do you a whole lot of good to see everyone you miss. And anyway, I’d love to meet your sister. Trade embarrassing stories. All that stuff.”
“Oh no, I am making sure you two are never alone together,” Ava decides firmly.
“Relax, I won’t tell her about the time you practically blew up the toaster and short circuited the house because you dropped tin foil in there.”
“You’d better not, Sarah Reese,” warns Ava. “And I thought we agreed to never bring that up again. It was late and I was hungry,” but she’s smiling now.
“Alright, alright,” hushes Sarah, putting an arm around Ava and pulling her close.
“You smell like hospital,” Ava informs her after a little while.
“Well I did just get back from a twelve hour shift,” retorts Sarah. “Not all of us were lucky enough to get a day off today.”
“Take that up with Connor. We traded shifts because he wanted to take Will to some stupid sports game, but, I did get the day off, so who am I to complain? Not when it ends like this,” she smiles into the crook of Sarah’s neck, twisting a coil of Sarah’s hair around one finger.
“Aves, not that I don’t love this and all, but my leg’s gone dead. Mind if we take this somewhere more comfortable?”
“I was comfortable,” Ava grumbles, helping Sarah up.
“Well, if it helps persuade you, I got doughnuts on my way back.”
“You did? From that place on Ellis?”
“That’s the one.”
“Well, let’s go, then,” Ava says eagerly, practically dragging Sarah from the room.
