“Y/N?” You heard someone shaking you and repeating your name. Holy shit, you fell asleep. You shot up and looked around the room. Most of the boys were standing putting on their light jackets. Seonghwa was looking at you with something you couldn’t decipher. You turned to look at your team and they were watching the interaction with smirks. Everything clicked into place. They were watching you because you were surrounded by some of the people you idolized. They were watching you to see if you would embarrass yourself and you most certainly had.

Fuck. 

“I am so sorry Seonghwa, I didn’t even realize that I fell asleep or that I was even tired. It won’t happen again, I am so sorry” You rambled at a quick place. You scrambled up from the seat and bowed before you scurried away from everyone and out into the hall. You had remembered seeing a restroom not too far away so you practically ran toward it. You were getting too hot. Was it embarrassment? Could it be shame? You made it to the bathroom door, yanked the door open, and locked yourself in. You rolled up your sleeves, leaned against the sink, and put your head down. Your head started swimming with uncontrollable thoughts. Each one bleeding into the last. You could feel your breath coming in shaky pants, you couldn't get a deep breath. You could barely suck in enough air to keep you from feeling lightheaded. Your sight got blurry and you could feel yourself start to shake. The heat that was burning in your body felt like the sun was trying to escape from your skin. 

Did you cross a line? Did you just make him uncomfortable? You fell asleep on your first official day of being here at KQ. How could you be so stupid? Would he request that they cancel the contract? Could you have fucked things up on your first official day? You jumped at the sound of small knocks on the door. The thoughts ceased for only a moment. 

“Hey, Boo it's me, can you open the door?” There were only three people who called you that, Aurora, Forrest, or Willow. From the sound of it it was Willow. She was always the person of the friend group to calm any one of you down. She was a grounding presence. You shakily stepped over to the door unlocking it and let her in, Aurora followed shortly after her. Forrest was posted up on the side of the door like a guard dog. Once all three of you were in the bathroom and Aurora locked the door you threw yourself at Willow. She knew that when you were in a bad headspace you either needed to be left alone or you needed grounding. She was good about being able to tell which one it was, which came from the years of friendship. She wrapped her arms around you and let you breathe her in. You sighed and relaxed into her hold. “How could I be so stupid? How could I fall asleep on the first day? How could I fall asleep on someone who knows I bias him?”

She shushed you running her hand over the back of your braided hair. “There is no need to be ashamed. In fact I was fairly certain Wooyoung snoozed for a little bit against your leg. Had you been awake you would have noticed that San had his head against your shoulder as well and was snoozing. It was a whole cuddle pile and you were in the middle of it. Seonghwa was the only one who wasn't asleep. San woke up shortly before you did. Seonghwa was comfortable enough with you that he pulled you closer to make sure you were comfortable, and he had his head against yours for the majority of the time you were asleep. You have nothing to worry about. In fact, they are worried about you.” 

“Do you think she is okay?” 

“I am not sure, but I trust her team to know her and help her through whatever was going across her mind before she ran out.” 

“Did we come on too strong? 

“You did not act unlike you normally do, she knows how all of us are, she is an Atiny. She might just be embarrassed that she fell asleep. We can be a lot to handle, we just have to take it slow.”

“All I want to do is run after her and comfort her hyung.” 

“I know you do, I would like to as well but this isn’t something that I think would do her mental state much better.”

“She is a strong person, she is just hesitant around us because I think she is still reeling from all of this. It has only been a few days since they got the call from KQ.” 

“Let’s go down to the cafeteria like we planned with her team and they will meet us like they said. We can only do so much here, she may know us, but she doesn’t know us. She just needs time.”

“They were worried about me? Why would they be worried about me?” you questioned regaining some semblance of a breathing rhythm. Willow had successfully grounded you enough to help you regain some kind of consciousness around your body. 

“Because they care and are amazing people. At least two of them almost ran out the door after you, Forrest had to stop them so we could handle this. They care for you. While you were asleep we could tell so. They kept checking in on you while you slept and they were asking us so many questions about what we do and what you do. They even were asking to see some of your work. They care about you Y/N, it has only been a few days since everything has happened but they are so genuine about getting to know us.”  

You pulled away from Willow and she wiped under your eyes. You hadn’t even realized that a few tears spilled down your face. “You mean that? They aren’t mad?”

“No”, Aurora spoke up, “When they started looking at you questioningly we may have spilled that you generally always have trouble sleeping. Also that you don’t do that very often with people that aren’t us. That you generally hate new people and that you take forever to warm up to someone enough to even consider falling asleep anywhere near them. They were so over the moon that you felt comfortable enough to fall asleep in their presence.”

“You make me sound like a child,” you groaned with a light chuckle. That made the two of them smile wide. “Where would I be without you guys?” you asked.

“Probably playing out in traffic,” Aurora remarked with a grin. You slapped her on the shoulder. All three of you broke out into giggles. You could feel your heartbeat returning to normal. Thankfully they pulled you out before it got really bad, otherwise it would not have been as easy to get through to you. 

“Come on, I am getting hungry and Forrest is still waiting out there.” Willow said to you moving to unlock the door. Forrest turned to look at you and pulled you into a giant hug. Your arms slid around his waist as his hand cradled the back of your head. 

“You worried me there for a second Boo.” He murmured into your hair. 

“I’m sorry, they got me all sorted out, I’m as good as new.” You responded. 

“Let’s go eat, I am starving." he said and kept his arm around your shoulder. He maneuvered you toward the cafeteria and you smiled up at him. These were your people. This is where you are supposed to be, right here in the moment, not in your head. 

After the short walk to the cafeteria you noticed that you were starving as well. Leave it to nerves to make you not notice your bodily functions. You looked around and saw the boys. Seonghwa, Yuhno and San stood up as you approached with Forrest next to you. You shyly waved at them. You noticed that they left four seats open for you and the team. San was the one to move to your duo. He smiled at you and said “I am glad you are okay, you really worried us there for a minute.”

“I’m all good Sannie, I am sorry I worried all of you. Let’s sit and eat and maybe if we have enough time before dance practice I can bring you guys out to see my bike.” you replied in a quiet tone. 

“We would absolutely love that.” He said with a gentle smile. He grabbed your hand and gave it a squeeze before walking back to his place at the table between Wooyoung and Yeosang. You took the seat across from Yeosang and the girls sat on either side of you leaving the seat next to Aurora open for Forrest who was ordering lunch for your group. Hongjoong looked at you with a smile, and nodded before continuing a conversation with Mingi. You reached over to Willow and grabbed her hand, you were still reeling from everything that just happened.

“How was your nap, sleepy?” Wooyoung teased. San smacked him on the back of the head and turned quickly to look at you. You shrunk into yourself to hide the blush on your face. 

“Yknow, a little birdy told me that you fell asleep on me too so I could be asking you the same question Woo.” You shot back after gathering yourself. Yeosang laughed heartily. That sound was melodic, even if he decided to cover it up and almost immediately stop after Wooyoung glared at him. He looked at you with a small smile. They all had resumed their conversations. You were listening to the conversation between San, Yeo, and Woo until you heard Jongho speak up from the other side of Willow. 

“Wait, really, she is the oldest of all of us?” Your ears perked up as you knew that you were the oldest out of everyone here. All of their gazes fell to the two who were previously having a quiet discussion. 

“Who is older than all of us?” Seonghwa asked, having not heard it over his conversation with Hongjoong.

“Y/N is 27 which is older than all of us.” Jongho said, looking at you around Willow. 

“Yahh, I didn’t know you were so old Noona,” Wooyoung teased. You heard the snicker of San and you cut both of them an icy glare. 

“Oh whatever,” you rolled your eyes at Wooyoung. “You have no need to use honorifics with me unless you feel it is absolutely necessary. I do not care either way because I am not from here.” You said looking down at your hands. You had never really been referred to as anything other than your name or Boo. That was something that you might have to get used to. 

After a couple of minutes of listening to the chatterboxes you heard Yeosang speak up, “Y/N? Can we see your tattoos?” He asked, looking bashful. You looked down and realized that your sleeves were still rolled up. He must have seen the bottom half of them and gotten curious. What a cute maltese. 

“That's a loaded question,” Forrest said, sitting down with a tray of food and dishing it out to the team. You smiled at him and thanked him. 

“Why is that?” Yeosang asked, cocking his head to the side like a curious puppy.

“She has them all over her body, and some of them are in places that you won't see unless she has her top off,” he teased. Hongjoong and Jongho sputtered their drinks at the other end of the table. Some of it got on the table, Seonghwa and Mingi patted their backs trying to make sure they were okay. Yeosang, Wooyoung and San had their mouths open. Seonghwa, Yuhno and Mingi were blushing like mad. You looked around to everyone and your team started laughing. Full on belly laughter came from your portion of the group. You were sure that the other people in the cafeteria were looking at your group in disgust for being so loud. They should be used to it seeing as Ateez and Xikers were very loud groups. Nothing could have prepared you for the look of pure and utter shock on all of their faces. You squeezed Willow’s hand and let go putting it over your mouth while the other was slapping Aurora’s leg. 

“Forrest, I think you broke all of them,” you wheezed. He shrugged his shoulders and continued laughing. 

“You didn’t expect that answer, did you Yeosang?” Aurora asked between fits of giggles. You looked at him and he still had his mouth open slightly. He looked like a goldfish out of water. You stood up and walked around the table to the three with their mouths hanging open. Choosing to be bold you put a finger under each of their chins to close their mouths. 

“If you keep your mouth open like that you’ll catch flies, boys. It is perfectly normal for a person to have tattoos that others can't see. Get your mind out of the gutter.” you whispered just loud enough for only the three of them to hear. All three of them went cherry red and put their heads down as you strutted back to your seat. You plopped down and started eating, prompting all of the rest of them to continue their meals. Aurora got your attention and motioned under the table for a high five and you obliged her. 

There is only one tattoo you had that you would be embarrassed if they saw. It was a testament to yourself and your independence, but it revolved around one of their songs. The lyrics Mingi sang in Halazia, “Who are you, it's just me myself and I” in your own handwriting to remind you to always be loyal to yourself. It was situated right above the moon tarot card on your left hip. It had been a spur of the moment decision while you were traveling after filming something for a client out of the country. Truthfully it was one of your favorite ones. 

“Y/N how many tattoos do you have? HongJoong asked after he recovered. The genuine curiosity in his eyes was so cute. He was looking at you with his big boba eyes that made everyone swoon. 

“I have eight, most of them are fairly large. You will have to wait to see the ones that are visible without my top off until swimsuit season; then and only then you will get to see them,” You stole a glance at Forrest and he let out a huff of laughter. Hongjoong nodded and continued eating. Most of the boys had recovered, but Yeosang still wouldn’t look you in the eye. 

After a little bit of quiet eating from your group Seonghwa stood up and said “Alright, it is almost time for practice, let's go and get our newbies set up and explain to them how things go and what needs to happen for our dance practices.” 

All of the boys chorused in agreement. You stood and helped them clean up the mess everyone created. Once you were finished you followed the group of boys down the hall to where their room was. You had seen this room many times on a screen. You had always been fascinated with how fluidly they moved and how they worked together. You also loved that you could see their personalities shine through in their dancing. All around they were mesmerizing. Some of your favorite videos were the behind the scenes videos. You got to see how they worked and what they preferred to do. 

“Do we need any cameras or is today just a get them set up day?” You asked. walking over to the small desk Hongjoong motioned to. There were four notepads and pens at the ready for you to take notes. How sweet, but you were not one to take notes on paper, it was too much of a hassle to keep all of it together. You preferred to take notes on an iPad or online with the team, that way you could collaborate in the same document. 

“Today is more of a chill day, we are just rehearsing choreography. We have some things that you will need to see to be able to put together an idea of how the shots of the music video could go. We will be recording it in three weeks. I am sure that they might like your input on angles and what could look best for their visions.” Hongjoong said while he started stretching. 

“Before we start can we grab our bags?” You asked. A couple of the boys looked at you curiously. “We prefer to take notes on our iPads so we can compile all of our notes together and discuss what the best course of action is.”

“Yeah you can go grab your stuff, do you need someone to show you where it is? We know this place is a maze.” Hongjoong asked, looking between the four of you. 

“That would be preferable, someone likes to get lost in their free time.” Willow said motioning to you. You turned to her in shock she had not just brought that up. 

“Willow!! You know that being directionally challenged isn't my fault!! Left and right can be hard, that's why I have tattoos; so I can differentiate them from each other.” You defended with an exasperated sigh. She had always teased you for it, she was lucky her brain was wired correctly. Your brain had always been a fucking mess. 

“Sure Boo, whatever you say,” she said grinning at you “you're just lucky you have us to keep your head on your shoulders, keep you from taking a wrong turn somewhere, and from playing in traffic” Your eyes widened, she did not just pull the same shit Aurora did earlier. You lunged at her jokingly attempting to smack her or tickle her. She sidestepped you and before you could stop yourself you ran smack into Forrest’s chest. He looked at you with a raised eyebrow and decided that it would be absolutely so much fun to pick you up and throw you over his shoulder. You let out a squeal in protest smacking his back. He trotted around the practice room with you bouncing on his shoulder. You could hear the laughter of the boys all around you. 

“Put me down you fucking tree. Willow started it, not me!!” You yelled at him, your plea fell on deaf ears.

“A tree?! Fuck you, you know good and damn well I hate that nickname.” Forrest responded to only part of your statement. He had some of the worst selective hearing. 

“Put me down and I'll say it to your stupid face” you snarked. He set you down on your own two feet, almost throwing you on the ground. You stood toe to toe with him. 

“You. are. a. fucking. tree.” You said in the most serious tone you could poking him in the chest. Aurora got in the middle of the two of you and held you back. She knew you would launch yourself at him to get him back after throwing you around like a ragdoll. 

“Children now let's get a hold of yourselves” Aurora said in a mock serious tone. 

“She started it” you sniped pointing at Willow. She gasped and put a hand to her chest in offence. 

“I would never do such a thing," she said with a smirk. 

“Oh fuck you, lets go get our things, we have already held up their practice enough.” you rolled your eyes and looked around to find out who would be taking you to the room. 

Jongho was the one who stepped up to your group, “I can take you.”

“Thank you Jjong!” You said linking your elbow with his. He looked at you in surprise but went along with it and led you out of the room. 

“I wish we could be like that with her.”

“Is that jealousy I hear” 

“No… okay maybe, but I can't help but to want us to be the people that she is so close to. Or the ones she bickers with like an old married couple.” 

“They have known each other for years, they have a head start on us. We can get to that state; it might just take time.” 

“You know we are impatient men, I just hope we can give it a respectable amount of time before spilling everything.”

“I will make sure that you do.”

“Thank you hyung.”

“So Jjong, what is it like being the scariest and strongest maknae in all of kpop?” 

He chuckled at your question. “It is rewarding to see the faces of people that don't know me. No one would expect me to be the most mature out of all of us. Some people are still shocked by that fact.”

You laughed, he seemed more comfortable around you than you thought he would be. He seemed to be the most hesitant out of all of the boys. He is full of surprises from his vocals to being able to split apples. He really was just a giant teddy bear when it came down to it. You looked at him and smiled, he was so beautiful. Most people do not favor him because of his looks but he was just as beautiful as the rest of them.

“Here we are,” he said, looking at you. Your eyes met and you couldn't help but to blush, there were multitudes behind his eyes. You could spend all day looking into them and never get tired. He was so expressive, his eyes said everything, but they could be hard to read, especially if you barely actually knew him. 

You unlinked your arm from his and walked into the office. Once you got to your backpack you swung it over your shoulder. The rest of your team did the same. You walked back out to meet Jongho and smiled when he looked up at you from his phone. You walked back side by side. Once you got back you set up your camera in the center close to the mirrored walls. You figured that it would be best to get an initial recording to build your notes off of. You then settled yourself right in front of your camera. Your team spread out in a line to take notes with you. You gave the boys a thumbs up and they started to do what they do best. 

The remainder of practice went well, you and your team took notes and started to make a plan for possible angles of the video. You would discuss the plans in more detail later. There were so many ways this could go so doing multiple takes might be something you have to do to get the best result. You were so excited to start on this project and get the ball rolling.

SCP-1958 “Starmobile”

This one really gets to me and i dont know why, sometimes I’ll just sit on the train to uni and think about it. The stars are so fucking beautiful out here man…

SCP-2006 “Too Spooky”

Hehehe I love the ones where the actual gimmicks in the containment procedures and this ones my fav one 4ever its so silly

SCP-5733 “Return of the Suburb Slasher”

This one is kind of hammy and melodramatic down to the twist ending that doesnt make any sense but its supposed to be a hommage to like 80s popcorn slasher flicks and it fits that sort of tone wonderfully, not every scp needs to take itself seriously I think. Also love how crazy the experiment logs get they straight up just teach her magic

SCP-3999 “I Am At The Center Of Everything That Happens To Me”

TALLORAN my friend Talloran… This one hits a lot harder if you’ve read a few other SCPs and especially if youve gotten somewhat entrenched in the community so if you read this one fairly early on and didn’t feel like you really got it I implore you to give it a reread. Normie pick but probably my favorite piece among all these if I had to pick just one it is that good

To be fair its been a while since I read this one but I remember it making me really emotional the first time around, scps that are about like tragic little stories happening to people exposed to them are always gonna hit me harder than the most clever out there of concepts tbh

SCP-5320 “The People's Church Of The Fish That Just Goes On Forever “

THIS ONES LIKE THAT A BIT ALSO though its not tragic and more silly but so profoundly human. raddagher in general is rlly good at like. Immersing you in the workplace culture of a setting as inherently bizarre as the foundation and im such a sucker for it

SCP-166 “Just a Teenage Gaea”

LISTEN. LISTEN I wasn’t gonna put any scps on here just bc I like the characters attached to it but meri BARELY appears in anything else than her file tbh and also its a good fucking rewrite I absolutely love all the implied lore about the goc and procedure clockwork blackchild havilah and how they leaned more into the estranged familial relationship between her and clef which was always the emotional core of the piece to me

SCP-0166 “I Was A Teenage Succubus”

The other really good 166 rewrite. Manages to very thoroughly deconstruct the original piece and everything that was wrong with it without being weird abt it and even gets a little meta! I love one (1) tuberculosisgirl yes you should GET to feel righteous anger at how the narrative has treated you!!

...I used to have really bad internalized cringe @ myself and my dumb fandom shit when I was younger so theres something very very sweet to me about homestuckposting saving the world. Also love the implicit character development in Eli going on to become bones gaw. Whenever its in anything I’m like. Points at it

SCP-3309 “Where We Go When We Fade, Fade Away “

Leans really heavily on its meta twist but its really a very clever idea to be fair and the emotional writing hits just hard enough to make this another one i like. Sit and think about sometimes

SCP-3002 “Attempt To Assasinate Thought”

Kind of long and all over the place but it somewhat needs to be to keep you from figuring out whats really going on until the end. YES OK this gets bonus points for the author having revealed on reddit that this is an au version of iris/scp-105 on her posthumous final revenge campaign against the foundation which adds another layer of emotional depth to it that it probably wouldnt have made it on here without but its my list. I can do what I want

Comparing MegaMan Robot Masters to their NetNavi counterparts; a thread in...probably a lot of parts

Because I’m hyped for the Battle Network collection’s anouncement I figured I’d shamelessly rip off a video by BumblesMcFumbles. Also it’s like way too fucking hot and I need something to hyperfixate over before I combust

Now just to note, I AM more of a fan of the Battle Network series compared to original MegaMan, hell my introduction to Megaman was the Battle Network anime so expect some bias.

(and once I’ve got the collection in hand and actually play more than just a version of 4 and 5, I’ll probably do a thread just talking about every named net navi)

Going in Robot Master Order (even if it will mean the quality of the net navi designs will go up and down as they got more used to the new design theme)

Cut Man and CutMan.EXE

Out of all the old designs that BN’s ocasional ‘chibi’ look touched, CutMan is probably the best. Never been too sure on the ‘ears’/handles on his head but the more sentai/super hero vibe I get from the BN design is rather cute. It’s a simple base design and they did all they could to it while still keeping the overal original vibe.

Though honestly I think it’s a tie because they’re just too similar and I’d have to start nitpicking to find differences. 1-all

Guts Man vs GutsMan.EXE

A complete overhaul of the original design, putting more of an emphasis on the construction equipment envoking yellows and greys than the original’s red and black.

The over pronounced chin and squaring of the head also invokes a loader. Not too sure on the backpack on EXE but I like how they turned the power crystal on the base design into the ‘emblem’ of EXE’s. The addition of green is also nice, just enough to pop but not enough to distract.

GM-EXE takes it, 1-2 in favour of Battle Network

Next is a pair I’d love to have right now to deal with the heat, Ice Man and IceMan.EXE

This one...did not take the chibification too well. And granted this picture isn’t...great for EXE’s head shape, I’m doing my best to ignore it....it’s like a ham chunk stuck in a glove...

Er, sorry. The shades of dark green and mint green aren’t really doing it for me, and are just making me wish for mint choc chip ice cream...The face swirls are...there, I guess...I like the contrast between the boots and gloves vs the rest of the design...

Yeah, classic takes it with a less is more approch. 2-2, tied up again

Bomb Man vs BombMan.EXE

...man, this was the coolest villain grunt from the show growing up, him and StoneMan.EXE introducing the concept of userless navi and how their looks are sometimes vastly different from ‘tame’ navi.

I like the overal, vaguely grenade like design for his armour decals, even if it cribs a bit from Grenade Man.

And I much prefer a ‘visable’ hammer space for pulling bombs out of-his shoulders-compared to them just appearing even though it’d make more sense for the virtual being to pull them out of thin air.

Obvious winner, 2-3 back into BN’s court

Fire Man vs FireMan.EXE

Doing my best to just let the designs do the talking instead of my love for .EXE’s user Mr Match, who was Scottish in the dubbed anime.

I really enjoy the colour inversion between the armour vs main body, with the splashes of blue and gold-y yellow adding more to the simple base design.

I can see why some wouldn’t like the head of EXE but since the clasic doesn’t have a mouth anyways, might as well go whole hog and create an imposing, slightly off-humanoid design

MMC 2-4 MMBN

And last of the first game’s robot masters, Elec Man vs ElecMan.EXE

Deffinitely my favourite change, and not just because I prefer the purple to the 4th robot master with red and/or black as their design

This took the concept of the digitized beings going more form over function (since so long as the code was good they COULD function) and ran with it. The tesla coil back spikes, the helmet mimicking the shape of the original’s...why does EM have a domino-mask, anyways?

An OBJECTIVE look at James Ironwood

So I’ve made it.... abundantly clear on many many posts that ever since the end of volume 7 and into volume 8, I’ve hated General James Ironwood. I’ve made SOME posts “throwing him a bone” but I usually end up still emphasizing his flaws. So... Here’s a post where I DON’T focus solely on his flaws. Here’s a look at Ironwood’s actions from his introduction in volume 2, to now. And I’ll try to be as, well, objective as possible.

So James’ first appearance is in episode 2 of Volume 2 where he talks to Ozpin and, briefly, Glynda. So Ironwood seems to be a bit of a 3rd wheel to Oz and Glynda, Glynda dismissing him and his compliment and Oz not being PARTICULARLY happy with him and his army’s presence in Vale and after a bit of arguing, James says the infamous line, that’s even quoted in his theme track, “Do you honestly believe your children can win a war?” James bringing his army to Vale, and then later going behind Oz’s back to the Vale counsel to get permission to protect the kingdom, and also get Ozpin in the Counsel’s bad graces? He... meant well. But it was still a betrayal of Ozpin’s trust. Which is ironic considering trust is Ironwood’s whole... thing.

And it also tells us something interesting. He UNDERESTIMATES the capabilities and potential of humans. I know that may sound a bit like I’m reaching but think about it, Atlas mostly sends soldier bots to take care of Grimm attacks instead of humans. And even when he DOES send human soldiers, they rely on surprise attacks to get the job done, like the Ace Ops arresting RWBY and friends at the beginning of Volume 7. And when they DON’T have surprise attacks, Atlas’ huntsman lose. The Ace Ops lost to RWBY, they basically lost to Penny in a 1v4 fight, which Harriet admits in saying “Good work would’ve been capturing Penny.” So yeah they lost, Clover lost to Tyrian and Qrow, which I know is a different scenario but still if he were among the best of the best he would’ve either recognized the bigger threat in Tyrian, or would’ve been able to hold them both off, or, 3rd option, would’ve retreated and let Qrow and Tyrian have it out then come back to arrest them both, or the remaining one considering Qrow vs Tyrian, when we get it again, is GONNA end in a death. Fair Game bias aside, everyone blames Qrow but Clover also could’ve been smarter in his final moments. 

In fact EVERY major Atlesian we’ve seen has lost a fight at least once. Winter lost to Qrow in Volume 3, if you count that AS a fight, and Cinder in Volume 7, Ace Ops lost to RWBY and Penny, Clover, as mentioned, lost to Tyrian and Qrow, Watts lost to Ironwood, and Weiss has, notoriously, lost a lot of fights but among the first was against Banesaw, the White fang lieutenant in Volume 2, and most recently, Rhodes lost to Cinder, if you count him. Whyyyy? I’m personally of the belief that it’s because of Atlas’ over reliance on its tech, and I know I’m not the only who thinks this 😗. Atlas has the best Tech on remnant and can easily create robosoldiers or mechs to protect the pilot while also allowing the pilot to still fight. What use is training humans to fight when they have mechs and robots to do it for them? 

Phew. That was a little off topic. I’m sorry, anyway, so in volume 3, James brings Penny to Vale to participate in the Vytal festival which, speaking of trust, he didn’t tell anyone about. I understand not making it public knowledge. Soldier bots are one thing but a robot that looks like a little girl? I don’t think that woulda sat right with people. So, yeah not making it general knowledge, makes sense. But not trusting your 3 closest allies, and FRIENDS, in Oz, Glynda, and Qrow? Like Glynda said, it’s time to stop talking about trust and start showing it. That aside, things go decently well. No DIRECT signs of any conflict *looks at Cinder* and the festival goes well until the one on one finals. Yang attacking a “defenseless” student, in James’ mind, is horrible yes, but people’ll move past it, especially cause he disqualified her. But then shortly after that, Pyrrha, Ozpin’s chosen one for the Fall Maiden’s power, dismembers Penny on national TV. That is a huge blow for both the festival and him personally.

Continuing with Volume 3, while he’s calling for reinforcements, the robosoldiers that’re in his plane with him are hacked and cause him to crash land. Also a hit to him personally, HE ordered these be created and the fact that they were so easily turned against him and the people he swore to protect? Yeah... Kinda get it. Although, something else interesting in Volume 3, when he DOES rendezvous with Qrow and Glynda, Qrow immediately turns his sword into Scythe form for the first time in the show. And James’ immediate reaction? “Qrow! This wasn’t my doing!” and preparing his gun for a fight, before turning around and realizing that Qrow actually just saved him from a Griffon. This is........ interesting. Why would he assume a colleague he’s worked with for so long would suddenly be turning on him? I dunno. Just seems a little... paranoid wouldn’t ya say?

Volume 4, we see a new side of James. We see that he cares for Weiss, at least somewhat. More than Jacques, but granted a squirrel cares more about the Schneeblings than Jacques. But yeah, James has some pretty sweet moments with Weiss in volume 4, standing up for her at Jacques’ party, offering her a place at Atlas academy, he’s a pretty stand up guy to Weiss. But, big picture? This volume shows the signs of his paranoia being something serious. He completely shuts down Atlas. In his own words, “No one in. No one out. Not without the Counsel’s permission.” now, he knows about Salem. But he doesn’t know what she’s CAPABLE of, as implied by Qrow last volume. So, from James’ perspective, this DOES seem like the safest course of action. But this is exactly what Salem wants. Separation. Anxiety. Paranoia. FUEL for the Grimm. And this is the first sign of a common theme of James inadvertently playing into Salem’s hands.

Jumping to Volume 7, we don’t see him in 5 or 6 😗, James is still hella, HELLA paranoid, but he’s still happy to see Qrow and happy to have new allies. Now this is where we get a little dicey because volume 7 is a.......... divisive volume 😓. I’m gonna talk about JAMES’ perspective of events. Not necessarily my thoughts because... well... I’ve done that already lol. Many times 😓. So JAMES’ perspective on Volume 7. James sent the Ace Ops to investigate a stolen air ship and arrest the ones responsible for... ya know... stealing the air ship. So the Ace Ops do. And then they go back and take them to James’ office, and it’s the general’s old friend Qrow and his niece’s team and her friends, and a mysterious young man. We can see that James is happy to see Qrow, especially cause of the hug :3, and he’s especially happy to see Oscar, the new Ozpin. He trains Ruby and her friends with his Ace Ops, and allows Winter to help Weiss. And he DOES start to relax more. He starts to, dare I say it, let loose. He allows some lenience, he lets RWBY have the night off. Ruby going to Robyn’s celebration, Yang and Blake going on a double date with Flynt and Neon, and let’s the boys and Weiss have a movie night. He even gives RWBY and their friends their huntsman licenses. These are really great things to do :3

But where things start to crumble is after he announces that Amity is ready, which is a whole speech full of half truths, that he didn’t tell any of his allies about once again, to lure out Watts. It works, they fight, he wins, and we see THIS face.

This is a man who is completely CONTENT. He is happy in this moment. He’s arrested a man who’s always, by his own admission, been a pain in the ass, he has Clover, Qrow, and Robyn on the way back with Tyrian Callows, everything is great right now. He KNOWS that Ruby and her friends lied to him because Oscar told him, but he can sort that out with an honest conversation right? In my opinion, THIS screenshot is Ironwood’s last GOOD moment in the series. That thought process of everything is great goes to shit when he sees the Black Queen piece that Cinder left expressly to fuck with his head. And THEN he gets irrational and, once again, plays into Salem’s hands. He directly ORDERS the divide of the people. He plans to abandon Mantle, leaving them to die in the process, and he plans to completely sever Atlas from all of Remnant basically by launching it into the atmosphere to keep the Vault safe. That only ACTUALLY accomplishes one thing, being keeping the vault, which IS important. But it isn’t more important than keeping the people, ALL of the people, calm and prepared to face this threat, like he did at Beacon. He should have remained calm, like an experienced military official should, and made an announcement to all of Atlas and Mantle saying kind of what he did in Volume 3. “Grimm are all over the kingdom. You can either stay and protect your kingdom, or save yourself. No one will fault you if you leave.” 

Ironwood has a thing with fear. He doesn’t want to admit he’s afraid of Salem. As evidenced both times he’s shot someone....... interesting 😓. In the last episode of Volume 7, The Enemy of Trust, this exchange happens. Ironwood: You still think I'm afraid? Oscar: We all are. It's what we do in our fear that reveals--Ironwood: That's easy for you to say!

And then later, in the first episode of Volume 8 Divide, he shoots and kills Sleet once he says... Well... His last words “And what’s this about martial law? Have you lost your damn mind?! Are you that scared of what-- “ And notice, Ironwood shoots after Sleet goes to say “Are you that scared of what might happen?” And he IS right about one thing. It IS easy for Oscar to say “It’s what we do in our fear.” Because Oscar is child who can AFFORD to be afraid. James doesn’t have the luxury. He’s denying his fear because he’s the general. He’s James Ironwood. He can’t AFFORD to be afraid. If he’s afraid, everyone is going to be afraid. And, well, he can’t have that. That would attract the Grimm. He thinks he HAS to have a level head at all times for the sake of the kingdom. But James even generals in the military have feelings.... and sometimes need therapy to talk through some shit 😶. But... well... Maybe too late for that 😶😓.

In conclusion: James Ironwood is indeed a tragic character. A character who has taken A LOT of blows. A character who has always been paranoid. ALWAYS been ready for an attack. But even though he’s always been ready, he still wasn’t PREPARED. He wasn’t prepared for the sheer strength and AMOUNT of Salem’s forces. If he was more calm and more rational, he could have prepared better. He could have had Mantle and Atlas united against Salem, and that’s what can beat Salem, like Ruby said. James Ironwood is a tragic character, he has had it rough. But that doesn’t mean we should overlook his OBJECTIVELY horrible actions through out these last 2 volumes. Like ya know... Murder.

(1/7) hey madara-fate. i'm pretty new to naruto. i only got into it two years ago and have only finished the anime. but prior to watching it, i know about the canon couples and the ship wars, including the fact that sns is the most famous ship (at least from all the years i've been on the internet and what i've seen without actually knowing anything about naruto). but after watching the series myself and finally having the chance to form my own thoughts, it got me thinking. sns is without a doubt the two characters and the relationship that got the most development because the series is centered around them. and naruto itself is a story with friendship and familial bonds being one of the biggest focus. and the fact that sns is the reincarnation of two twin brothers, i guess that basically cements their bond more and more because it's kind of a belief in many cultures that twins have a more special bond with each other compared to others.

(2/7) so the point i'm sending this ask is to ask about your thoughts. it's something that i find, dare i say, a huge hypocrisy among the sns fandom. i happen to know that you're not biased and despite being a sasusaku shipper, you never shit on sns or their very deep bond with each other. you also seem to have very good grasp of the story and characters all while knowing the canon facts (unlike the majority of naruto fandom). so i guess i just want to know what you think. okay so hear me out. this is going to be really tl:dr 😅😅 so i'm sorry if i'm bothering you. you can ignore this ask if you want, it's fine. i also feel like letting this out to someone who actually understands the story and characters of naruto instead of just plain bias.

(3/7) i'm not one of those people who believe that sns is inc*st and anyone shipping them is supporting inc*st because yes they are reincarnated brothers, but both naruto and sasuke weren't blood related and raised in the same household or by the same family. so i do believe that there's really nothing weird or wrong about shipping them romantically if that's what people want. but i have to say (what I've been noticing so far, at least) that most of the reasons why these shippers love sns so much and claiming that this ship is the one that is most valid and should end up together and be canon are due to the fact that naruto and sasuke are reincarnated brothers.

(4/7) all the reasons and justifications that i've seen from sns stans on why sns is the ship that should be canon and why they're romantic and have better chemistry than the canon couples are mostly because of the fact that sasuke and naruto understand each other best. but isn't the reason why these understand each other best is because they're reincarnated brothers? like, the reason why they're so close and connected to each other and know each other's hearts so well without even the other having to verbally express it is because they're reincarnated brothers. yes, they are comrades who have spent time with each other and built a friendship, but their souls are connected to each other due to being reincarnated brothers, making them having a deeper bond with each other compared to others. i believe the same goes to madara and hashirama. they can't help but love and care for each other deeply because they're connected deep inside, as brothers.

(5/7) i think it's really funny that sns stans always *conveniently* forget this very important fact when discussing about their own reasons why they ship sns. and they always hate it when others try to bring it up—the fact that sasuke and naruto have this very strong and special bond that they do now is due to them being soul brothers. and i think it's very telling that they hate it when we say they're not romantic and can't ever be canon because of the plot itself that makes them reincarnated brothers. the shippers love to claim homophobia for the reasons why people don't ship sns or why it's not canon when in actuality, it can never work in narutoverse especially if we're following the canon plot of naruto and sasuke being the reincarnations of indra and ashura. but then, they will claim that if either sasuke or naruto were female, then they'd surely be canon and more people would ship it and feel the outrage about them not being canon. but here's my thought; if either sasuke or naruto were a female, then their relationship wouldn't be the same as it is now? the reincarnation wouldn't work if one of them were a female, so their dynamic and development would be different than the one we have now, which is what the shippers love so much about when it comes to this ship.

(6/7) it's really hypocritical that they dismiss and diminish every single interaction that naruto and sasuke have with their respective canon romantic partners because apparently neither hinata nor sakura have the same bond with their husbands that the two share with each other. but well the thing is, neither hinata nor sakura have the opportunity to become naruto and sasuke's reincarnated love partners, so of course it's not going to be the same. that still doesn't mean the canon romantic relationships are any less valid or worse than the relationship that sasuke and naruto have between each other.

(7/7) so yeah, like i said this is a veryyyy tl:dr from me 😅 i understand if you're exhausted from reading this and you don't feel like answering so just ignore if you don't. but if you can, what are your thoughts about this? is my interpretation of sasuke and naruto's relationship wrong? i personally really don't have a problem with people wanting to ship sns romantically. but the constant hate, insult, and mockery towards the actual canon couples (mostly ONLY on the female characters involved) just really annoy me, to say the least. it's been more than 6 years. i wish they would've learned to shut up already or found other healthy ways to cope instead of making fun of the canon ships or both sakura and hinata every single day. but i guess that's asking too much from people who make shipping sns and hating on naruhina and sasusaku their only personalities 😪 what do you think about this?

The ask is a little too long for me to respond properly to it, but I did read through all of it and I do definitely agree with what you're saying. Although, I do have to question how much of the understanding between Naruto and Sasuke is truly due to their being reincarnations of brothers. From what I saw, a considerable amount of the empathy between them was due to their lonely upbringing, and the burdens placed upon them by being a Jinchuuriki and the "last" Uchiha. Both of those aspects have nothing to do with their status as sibling reincarnations, so that's also something to consider.

So basically, from my perspective, with regards to trying to explain the reasons or origins of Naruto and Sasuke's bond, I certainly don't think that you're wrong per se. However, I do think that you're giving the reincarnation portion of it a little too much importance. It certainly contributed, but I don't think it is the main cause.

InaGo Galaxy Rant

Hey everyone, I haven't been feeling mentally well since 2019 cause I realised that it had been 9 years (back in 2019) since I joined IE and those times were the best days of my life. I just felt like I had to talk about Galaxy and my view on it as it has been bugging me since 2013.

Galaxy, in my opinion, isn't my favourite season. I know this is probably the minority of the fandom. Please don't hate me! I mostly feel this way because I felt Level-5 basically threw the GO Raimon characters away and slot in new characters just to challenge Tenma's captain ability. Because he would be too busy being captain-like, that he wouldn't notice Tsurugi getting captured and replaced by an alien-look-a-like, which is also vital to his development. I get that it could be because of this that's why Level-5 needed new team members as the Raimon players will definitely listen to him since he's been their teammate for so long and will probably realise if Tsurugi got replaced. Tenma needed that challenge to develop as a captain. Saying that, I felt the GO Raimon players had so many character development like Kirino, Nishiki, and Taiyou that were all in the Strongest 11 in Chrono Stone, and should have been selected, but to only appear for like 3 episodes? (at best based on my memory), pushed aside as they have no 'Soul' abilities. Keshin and Keshin Armed are thrown aside as well like ? (the game still had them + Souls like why are you so different?). I was at least happy Shinsuke got in halfway before Earth Eleven left for space, and had a good friendship with Tetsukadou who has the same voice actor as Kariya whom Shinsuke had a close friendship with too (sort of like a throwback to GO, Kariya was such a great character too, many people in the fandom even Japan liked him a lot).

Don't get me wrong, I loved the plot and the alien characters were great (like Powai & Banda & Hilary, etc) I did like majority of the Earth Eleven members. (Please don't hate me again!) I mainly don't like Matatagi and Ibuki (There I said it). I know they are popular in the fandom, let me explain. I just felt they were quite a**holes to the other members. Like Matatagi was plain out rude (you shouldn't say such things to anyone ever. It could demoralise them. You also shouldn't be teaching your brothers this attitude as well. It's not nice to others). He also didn't have character development, just revealing the kind of person that he was hiding under. I also felt he was trying to be the 2nd Tsurugi, he was shooting majority of the goals, but I guess we could say it's because Tsurugi was swapped with an alien and that's why he couldn't show his moves much. Ibuki's pride got on my nerves a lot and his dynamic with angry!Shindou is just -_-". This relationship started purely from angry!Shindou which didn't make sense to me. I know that Shindou's no longer angry in later episodes and people ship him with Ibuki. (there is sexual tension between the two I'll admit and that my hatred towards Ibuki might be formed from my bias as a TakuRan fan, still don't like Ibuki though) I get that this is the way they were written, I'm not faulting their writing. In my opinion, the personalities I like would lean more towards the GO Raimon Players as they were nicer personality-wise and had excellent teamwork. It could be as I left the fandom during the time Galaxy was airing and aren't as close to the Earth Eleven characters compared to the previous 2 seasons. I did watch the first few episodes and just dislike them. I did try to give it a shot once more over time, hence my MinaMana fic (I did ship them due to the game, they had a lot of moments there). Kusaka and Morimura were cute too. I still do not feel as close as I could to the new members.

Another thing, I don't know what's up with Shindou, he's like mad at the new members all the time which isn't his character in the first 2 seasons. He used to be a captain as well, which means he should be nice and accepting to the new members and try to persuade and teach them but he ended up just flat out hatred for them which was so ooc (Even though he was a temporary captain in the match in Chrono Stone with Protocol Omega captains, Shindou was still trying to gather the players together). Tsurugi's status as ace striker decreased, can't fault him for that as he disappeared half of the season (still it was disappointing not seeing him in action much). Kageyama Reiji, I thought we've established that he's a nice and yasashii person back in the Original series FFI arc? What happened to that? I know he has his own weird way to show his love for soccer but this new Kageyama is like a completely new person to me. He's clouded in mystery that you just can't link Kuroiwa with Original Kageyama. Also, Kageyama Reiji + Hikaru = ?, did they forget about him? Hikaru definitely saw his uncle when they were choosing the next Earth Eleven players. Disappointed... (I know the game did have Hikaru mention Kuroiwa sometimes but that's it, no reunion whatsoever. I would have loved for Hikaru to talk to his uncle about himself playing soccer for him and bonding with Kageyama over their love for soccer. Kageyama Reiji had such a cute relationship with Rushe so having a similar bond with Hikaru might have been better. At least all the explanations by Hikaru about being a Kageyama in GO build up to something). Hikaru, Kariya, and Nishiki are the new members of Raimon that fought in the Holy Road. They were like a big part of the revolution. Getting smaller roles in Chrono Stone was one thing, completely ignored in Galaxy was another. My man Yuuichi! You only appeared once and just forgotten. I want to see you kick the ball, I want to see you play soccer again! Level-5 appreciate him more please!

I'm ok with the Galaxy plot, it was the best way to end the GO series, I'm not denying that. The challenge to Tenma as a captain and questioning his friendship with Tsurugi at the last moment was so great, and those two scenes with Katora and Lalaya were sweet (sort of could be seen as romantic and its not kind for my KyouTen heart) and they added towards the plot (the game did it a lot better), the match between Tsurugi and Tenma was such a nice way to elaborate their friendship. I really love the part when Tenma was so heartbroken when he found out Tsurugi was playing for Falam Orbius, thank you Terasaki Yuka-san for making Tenma sound heartbroken (i needed it to mend my crushed KyouTen heart)! I'm glad at the end they brought back Tenma's dribbles and his casual love for soccer (a throwback to GO final match), Ten Made Todoke! played (throws nostalgia at you), black hole's gone and Earth Eleven heads back home all happy with the Raimon players. I'm also sort of glad they brought back the captains of Holy Road into Galaxy as Resistance Japan, Hakuryuu my boy is back! Shinsuke gets to protect the goal once more! BLESS my boy!

So yeah, I was sort of ok with Galaxy (sorry if I sounded like I wasn't), plot-wise was great, character-wise hmmm depends on individuals I guess, perhaps better writing for them might have been better? It seems the game did this season more justice compared to the anime. Kageyama's ending was weird like there was more they could have elaborated (seemed like there's a continued series?) but that was thrown aside (I'm open for anyone to explain this better for me).

Anyways, thanks everyone for sticking around this rant about Galaxy. Please know that these are my opinion on the season and every person perceive things differently than others. No hate here please.

January 2, 2021: Mission: Impossible (Epilogue)

Now, after all of that, I have my opinions about the movie, but I think we need to talk about the franchise first. Not the franchise that came after, but the one that came before. You might have wondered why I was so absolutely pissed about the whole Jim Phelps thing. Well, I’ll explain. Because, while this might not be the worst action movie of all time or anything, MAN, is it a contender for the worst adaptation of all time.

So, without further adieu, let’s talk about:

Jim Phelps

Poor, poor Peter Graves. You may know him from the film Airplane!, as the pilot of the plane, Captain Oveur. But, one of his most iconic roles on TV was as Jim Phelps, the director of IMF from seasons 2 to 7 of the 1966 series, and in the 1988 revival. Phelps was not only the leader of the group, but one of its most prominent and versatile members. Because of this, he’s arguably the most notable person involved in the IMF, and a faithful member, always taking on impossible missions for the greater good.

So, you can imagine how absolutely pissed off the 1996 film made fans of the original, the cast of the original, and Peter Graves himself, when the writers decided to make Jim a straight-up villain, and brought in no other members of the original team. It should be noted that this movie is indeed intended to be a continuation of the original series and its revival. And yes, Peter Graves was asked to reprise his role as Jim Phelps, but turned it down when he found out that Jim Phelps was meant to betray and MURDER IMF. Because, yeah, not cool!

Maybe this was intended to surprise people, including and especially fans of the original series, which did have quite a fanbase at the time. But this had two problems. One, by turning one of the longest lasting heroes of the franchise into a straight-up villain with a Cold War-chip on his shoulder, he immediately is acting extremely out of character as compared to the version of the character that got all of those fans together in the first place. And second, WHAT SURPRISE? As emphatically noted by me, I figured out that Phelps was the villain within the first 5 minutes of runtime. Seriously. IT WASN’T THAT HARD. 

Not to mention the fact that the original cast also hated this movie. Greg Morris, who played a character that I think Luther Stickell may be loosely based upon, literally walked out of the theater before the movie was finished, because he was reportedly “disgusted” by what they’d done to Jim. Martin Landau, another original cast member, said that the original plan was to have the entire cast come back, only to get immediately killed off so that Tom Cruise could be the only surviving IMF member, and he was very against that. He also cast shade on the script in the same interview, which is kind of funny.

So, yeah, with all of that said, this is a very bad adaptation. But is it a bad movie? Let’s go over it, shall we?

Cast and Acting

So, yeah, Cruise was Cruise again. But, he was definitely more likable as Ethan Hunt. Although, he also was a little less-defined as a character. I’d wager that that’ll be fixed in later films, but he was blander than Maverick, I’d say. Still, he wasn’t Maverick, so that’s an improvement. Voight as the main villain was...obvious. Sorry, but I’ve seen Voight not act somewhat sinister in any role. Hell, even in National Treasure, I didn’t trust him. Maybe that’s just me; Anaconda was a memorable movie from my childhood, what can I say? Emmanuelle Beart was fine, I suppose. But for me, the stars of the show were Rhames, Reno, and Redgrave. The 3 R’s dripped with charisma and energy in every scene they were in. Redgrave was regularly ravishing, Rhames was remarkably refined, and Reno was roguishly rakish. Right on.

Cast and Acting: 7/10

Plot and Writing

Well...OK, look, the writing in this film is mostly fine. And the plot is mostly (mostly) competent, but...it’s so obvious. IT IS SO OBVIOUS. Even without my Jon Voight-bias, his heel-turn is obvious within 20 minutes. Not hard to figure that out, seriously. And outside of that, this really is just a standard spy flick. It’s nothing really out of the ordinary and spectacular, at all. And that in and of itself definitely doesn’t make it a bad movie. However, it also detracts from the suspense. The significant other pointed out that this may be because I’ve seen movies that came out after this one, and that this film may have been a trope-maker. Which, yes, entirely valid point there. But even then, this film doesn’t go far enough out of the James Bond comfort zone that it’s nestled within. So, yeah, not bad, but also not spectacular. With a very predictable twist.

I just, that scene! That ending climax is amazing, seriously! I’ve put it up here in this review, chopped into GIFs, but seriously! Rewatch this scene if you haven’t seen it in a while. And if you haven’t seen this movie, I’m sorry that you’ve been spoiled, but still! Check this scene out! But outside of this scene, how was the movie? Well, first things first, the director was Brian DePalma, the director of Carrie, Scarface, The Untouchables, Carlito’s Way, and Phantom of the Paradise. When you look at his credits, he has a lot of great films under his belt, as well as some mediocre ones. But, he knows what he’s doing with this movie. While it might not bear the most stylish of directorial flourishes, it’s still a hell of a ride. And, in terms of action, this is definitely more of an action movie than Top Gun was. The movie literally cannot work without some of its most suspenseful and iconic physical sequences. Man oh MAN, it’s one hell of a ride throughout. So, yeah, this category is getting a high score. A perfect score? No. Like I said, not too many directorial flourishes that I really noticed. Excellent directing, but not 10/10.

Direction and Action: 9/10

Costume and Set Design

This was pretty good, honestly. Some character outfits stood out to me (Rhames in particular), and the set pieces that were present were great! The train-copter-Chunnel scene obviously stands out, as well as the fish tank scene in the beginning. Not much to say for this one, in truth.

OK, so, here’s the thing about the M:I theme song. I VASTLY prefer the original version. Honestly, Danny Elfman is a competent composer and all (if not a bit overused and overexposed), but Lalo Schifrin’s song is so timeless that the update in the movie, in my opinion, actually kind of ruins the original. And given that I genuinely don’t remember most of the music in the movie outside of the theme song...yeah, this one weirdly isn’t going to get a high grade from me. All points go to Lalo Schifrin. Sorry, Danny Elfman.

Music: 5/10

And there you have it, Mission: Impossible (1996). Tallying up the scores, that’s a 34/50, leaving us with a 68%. And yeah, that sounds about right to me. Seriously, this is a by-the-books spy film, and I got exactly what I expected from it. Well, mostly. I expected a better plot and twist, and a better mystery. I got a much worse one. But I DID NOT expect the action, especially the climax. And yeah, that ending scene alone is worth the price of admission. Might make me sound shallow, but MAN, it was cool. Do I recommend this movie? I recommend scenes from this movie, at the very least. But, if you watch it, you’ll get about what you expected: a spy movie starring Tom Cruise and an obvious twist.

OK, that’s enough of Tom Cruise for one month (maybe for one year, let’s be honest). What about another iconic action film star of the ‘80s and ‘90s? I’ve seen a lot of Schwarzenegger (and the movies of his I haven’t seen will feature later this year), so...what about Stallone? Not Rocky, though; that’ll be for sports month. And First Blood is...we’ll see about First Blood. OH! Got it!

1. If you were an animal, what animal would you be and why?

× I'd be a cat, 100%. Cats are my love and my life, I've always wanted to be one, tbh (not in a furry type of way, but I feel like life would be easier if I was a cat, lmao). I love how cats take no shit and do whatever they want. They're very independent and individual and I'm all here for that.

2. What two anime characters or kpop idols are your type?

× Can I do both anime characters and kpop idols??

× As for anime characters, Jaeha from Akatsuki no Yona and Kirito from Sword Art Online are totally my type!!😍

× And in terms of kpop idols... omg,, how am I supposed to *only* name two?? Hmm, thinking about it, I guess not all of my biases are my "type" per se... but there's two that come to mind right now hhhh. One of them is Kevin Moon from The Boyz, he really ticks off (almost) every bullet point in my list for my "ideal type" and honestly, this list is freaking contradictory and has vvv high standards but Kevin is THAT boi, basically my imaginative ideal boyfriend personified. :') And the second one who I'd say is totally my type is Hwang Hyunjin from Stray Kids. I've always loved drawing him the most of all kpop idols and I still do tbh (but I can't fill my feed on my insta art account with JUST Hyunjin drawings,, you know,,,). His fashion!! I'm so here for it and vibe with it so well. Plus,,,idk,,, I feel like I could connect to him in some ways so ajxjsjdjjs yeah. There's just something about him and Kevin that inspires me so much, I really love these two bois.

3. Are there any writers or artists (art or music) that inspire you? If so, list 5.

× YES. I decided to name a few artists because I realize I've never talked about the artists whose artworks inspire me the most. They're all on Instagram, so I'll be naming their @'s

a.) @/shooky_dough: I'm probably not the only one who knows Nikki, hehe, but her art is SO amazing. She's got this really distinct style which I'd put into the category of semirealism. Her kpop fanart is soooo good and I used her tutorials to learn how to get better at sketching. If you look at the sketches I've been posting for the past few months on my insta art account, you'll notice that they're highly inspires by Nikki's art. She's definitely the artist I'm looking at most in terms of inspiration and improving on my own art.^-^

b.) @/angelganev: His art is sooo pretty. He does semirealism and I've found him by browsing through pinterest to find some art inspiration/references/tutorials. He also does drawing contests in which his followers can draw one of his work he selects in their own style and he gives a shout out to the ones he liked best. It's always interesting!!

c.) @/melmadedooks: This man can draw about ANYTHING, he's so talented. He used to draw lots of his 'dooks' and I've found him through seeing some of his works on pinterest (again, lol). I've actually redrawn two of his 'dooks' and posted them to my art account AND HE LIKED BOTH OF THEM, I WAS SO HAPPY OMG!!! He used to draw his dooks using only one coloured pencil, so I've also started experimenting with that and instead of using a graphite pencil, I used coloured pencils for my sketches and those gave off very different vibes that I really liked!!

d.) @/rezajeez: Probably *the* kpop fanartist I've been following for the longest of times. They are AMAZING!! They mainly do huge photorealistic portraits with INSANE details. It's funny actually, because their work is the complete opposite to shooky_dough's work. While Reza draws photorealism on a big surface (probably A3? maybe more??) and draws very detailed, Nikki focuses more on sketches/more semirealistic and "simplistic" art and it's usually drawn quite small, so seeing these opposites really broadens my horizon, I think^^

e.) Last but nor least, @/rossdraws: In my opinion, he's the modern day Bob Ross! His art is so freaking stunning, have you checked out his digital art landscape series?? The amount of talent this man holds in his pinky finger is more than I've got in my whole body like- OOF a huge inspiration to me!!~

4. If you could play any instrument, which would you play?

× The guitar!! I really want to learn how to play it~

5. If you could choose one anime to live in, which one would you choose and why?

× Either Ouran High School Host Club or Your Lie In April. The first one is just so much fun and I'd love hanging out with the host club members and as for the latter,,, I just really want to be here for Kousei and help him through his anxiety because I know so well how it feels like and I also wish I could sing while he plays the piano, we'd be a great duo✊🏻😔 (I'm sorry, I couldn't choose one)

6. This is a bit of an old DeviantArt fic trend, but if you received an Android of your favourite character from any anime/show/etc., who would it be?

× Hmmm... that's a great question omg there's so many amazing choices I could make😭😭 But I think I'd go with Kirito, I just really really love him ahhhhh

7. Is there anything you would like to do but haven't because your friends/family didn't want to do it with you?

× There's actually a few things I could name... first, I really want to go bungee jumping (preferably from the Macau Tower, as it's the highest bungee jump in the world😍) but my fam and friends think I'm crazy for wanting to do this but I'm actually quite an adventurous person which probably not many people know about me, so I love doing stuff like that.✊🏻😂

× I would also really like to travel with friends... it's not that I dislike travelling with my mom and stepdad but whenever I can't take someone with me, I feel like such a child ??? idk,, never travelling (I wanted to say "without adults" but then I realized I AM an adult) on my own with friends and always tagging along with my parents kind of make me feel like I'm not independent or mature/grown-up for it. But I feel like none of my friends want to travel with me... most of them have a travel buddy already but I just... don't akdjsjs

× and last but not least, getting more specific, I really want to travel to Hawaii and South Korea, but so far, I haven't made it there yet :c

× Cherry Blossoms all the way💞 but all flowers are beautiful and I really like roses, too.

× My hobbies include singing, drawing, dancing, writing, reading, researching astrology, studying Korean, watching youtube videos/netflix, listening to music and OF COURSE DAYDREAMING✊🏻😔

10. If you were going to be stranded on a deserted island with nothing but the clothes on your back and a bag, what would you put in the bag?

× I'd definitely put food and water in the bag, my phone, earphones, a portable solar charger with a USB cable (so that my phone won't die and I could chill for however long I want while watching kpop mv's and then also use my phone to call for someone to rescue me from this island once I start running low on resources), all the books I still want to read, my art supplies and a few sketch books, some towels that I could use to lay on or use as blankets, a pillow and my teddy bear, and obviously a toothbrush and toothpaste, a hairbrush and a few hair ties and bobby pins (you don't want long sweaty hair stuck to your skin during a hot summer ewww), some soap to wash myself and my clothes, sunscreen and also some insect spray to keep the bugs away!! (it's a big bag, okay)

Prince Kim Seokjin Part 5

Guys what did you think about the new album? I love it so much, I am crying. Anyways, I was able to finish Part 5 of Prince Kim Seokjin, while streaming Boy with Luv. Keep streaming!! When Jin told you that he’ll try not to bother you through texts, you shouldn’t have believed him. Because now he sends you a message everyday, whether it be an emoji or just a simple hi. You try to ignore him for fear that Milo is going to find out, but there are days when you just can’t. He would always send you dad jokes, which you know are not funny, but it makes you smile anyway. It helps you get through a long day when he sends you one.

The weeks passed and you realized that you have been replying to his every message. Replying from his good morning messages to goodnight ones at 3am. You even call each other every night when you’re alone in your place and will talk for hours about things that you want to know about each other.

You adore Jin so much and you know you’re starting to fall in love with him. But what can you do? Milo has has locked you up in a relationship you so badly want to get out off, but can’t. Because he always threatens you and it scares you.

Before you agreed to be in a relationship with Milo, you thought he was a great guy, until after two months of dating when he started physically abusing you. He became so obsessive that he gets jealous to every guy you talk to. You tried to give him so many chances. He used to apologize to you, but he doesn’t do it now. You know you should have gotten out of that situation when you can, but it’s too late now.You’re scared that if you leave him, he’s going to do so much damage to not just you but with your family as well.

Milo told you one day that he is leaving for a week to have a photoshoot project in Japan. You didn’t say anything because you know this is a lie. You heard rumors that he’s into one of the models from Japan and that they’ve been hanging out a lot.

“Why can’t you just break up with me and be with her?” you yelled at him

“So you can be with your fake fiance Jin? And those are just rumors. I know your parents doesn’t like me, that’s why our relationship is still not out in the public. I am just making something up, so the media doesn’t focus on us. You know, saving you from your parents. If they find out that we’re dating, they’re going to be devastated and disappointed in you.”, he replied, his breath smelling like cigarettes and alcohol

“I don’t even wanna be with you anymore Mi----”

He grabbed your neck and started choking you.

“You are not leaving me Y/N. Because I will f*cking ruin you.” he said threatening you. “You better not be hanging out with that stupid Idol of yours, or I will find out”

He let go of your neck and you started rubbing it. You know you’re going to end up having a bruise again. Milo grabbed his jacket and left you crying on the floor. How you wish and pray that this would be over.

The next day, the first day Milo is out of the country, you aren’t planning on doing anything. You just stayed in your house and trying to see what kind of foundation you’ll use to cover the bruise on your neck.

“How’s my future wife doing?” it was a text from Jin

It was 9 am. You didn’t reply because you were thinking about the threats from Milo. After 30 minutes, he messaged you again with a sad emoji. Although you wanted so much to reply, you ended up choosing not to. The rest of the day went by and you never replied to any of his messages.

At 10pm, you accidentally answered a phone call from him.

“Hey!” he said as soon as you answered the phone

“Hey” you replied

Jin: Are you okay?

Y/N: Yes.

Jin: Ah… I am outside your house.

You were surprised when you heard this and went to look outside your window. Jin is standing outside his truck holding his phone. He noticed you and he waved and smiled.

“If you’re not busy, do you wanna go for a walk?” he asked when you didn’t say anything through the phone

“It’s 10pm.”

“Exactly, that means not much people.”

“Jin…”

“Hey, if you can’t, I’ll just leave. It’s okay, I understand.”

You thought for a moment and you realize how you want to be with him as well. “I’ll just grab my coat and I’ll be there.” you told him and hung up the phone.

When you were outside he asked if you’re about to sleep or if he disturbed you.

“No Jin. I was bored. Just trying to finish you guys’ photobook”

“How can you be so bored finishing BTS’ photobook? I mean, did you see those guys? Especially the worldwide handsome? You must be kidding me.” he said smiling

You smiled back at him and suddenly you forget all your problems.

“Thank you Y/N” he said

“For what?”

“For coming outside to go for a walk with me at 10pm.” he said and he held your hand

“Jin..” you said, surprised but what he just did

“I know Y/N. I am sorry.” he said and let go of your hands

You started walking, you both didn’t know where you’re going but you’re both glad you have each other. You walked without saying anything. Often times you would just look at each other and smile.

“Do you get bruised easily?” he asked all of a sudden. You realized you forgot to wear your scarf so it’s showing a part of your neck.

“Ah. yeah.” you replied rubbing your neck.

“Getting a bruise from your neck is kind of weird though. Unless somebody tried to choke you.”

“It’s a bleeding disorder” you replied without looking at him

He just nod his head and you both continued with your walk.

After awhile, he started telling you his dad jokes and your walk was more fun.

“That wasn’t even funny Jin”

“Y/N that was funny! What are you talking about?”

“It’s not funny. But you’re funny. I like the funny Jin”

“See? Can you imagine if we really got married? You’ll live a happy life hearing my jokes everyday”

“Oh my God. I would probably try to ignore you as much as I can”

You talk more about each other. It was only a 30 minute walk, but you both enjoyed each other's company. When you reach your home, you kinda want for the walk to not end.

“Y/N thank you for dealing with me tonight” he said as soon as you reached the door to your house. You just smiled at him and didn’t say anything.

“I had a talk with your dad today. He asked me to go to lunch with him” he said. Is this the reason why he texted that morning?

“I told him I can’t marry you if you don’t want to be married to me.”, he continued “And that he should choose your happiness before anything else because you are his daughter. His only child.”

“You told him that?” you asked

“Yes. I told him I don’t want to force you into something you don’t want to do. He told he understands and he’ll talk to my dad about it. But he said I am giving him a reason to make him want me more as a son-in-law.”

“You’re making that up right?”

“The son-in-law part? No. He really said that. So I told him like someone else anyway. And I told him that you don’t know how to cook, and I want a wife that can feed me and cook any kind of dish I want to eat”

“You like someone else?” you asked, ignoring the his last sentence

“Yes. But I don’t think she likes me too. So, I guess I am just going to marry myself. But yeah, don’t worry about marrying me anymore.”

“Jin…”

“I know. I’d wanna marry the worldwide handsome too.” he said smiling at you

You didn’t say anything. When he noticed this, he grabbed your hand again.

“I’ll still be your friend though. I’d like a beautiful friend. I am so tired of being the only beautiful person among my friends.”

Still you didn’t say anything. Heartbroken that the marriage is not going to happen anymore. Even if you know long before that it will never happen anyway even if he didn’t talk to your dad.

“Well, it’s getting late. I should be going. Again, thank you for keeping me company. Annyeong.” he said letting go of your hands. Just as he was about to walk out..

He smiled the most gorgeous smile and said, “I’d like that.”

You both smiled at each other then he continued to walk to his car. You wait outside your door until he’s gone. He opened his car window, gave you one last wave and drove away.

When you get inside your house, you can’t stop thinking about how the marriage is not going to happen anymore. How you are really starting to fall in love with Jin but you can’t do anything about it. Especially now that he confessed that he like someone else. And that he doesn’t want to marry you because you don’t know how to cook.

You thought about this more while you got ready for bed. Just then, Jin sent you a message.

“Looking forward to tomorrow night :)”

The one night of hanging out with Jin turned in to two and then three nights and for the whole week. You hung out at night, after his rehearsals and recordings. After you’re done with work. You didn’t realize you’ve been waiting for him to text you that he is on his way to your house. You both didn’t care what time it is, whether it be 12 midnight or 2 am. You just want to see him and spend time with Jin. That’s when you know you are really in love with him.

You kept asking him about the girl that he likes but he just says that she’s beautiful. That she’s one of a kind, amazing, and everything that he wants in life.

It’s when you realize you really need to do something to let Jin know about your feelings for him. To break up with Milo. To stop him from abusing you. To finally be happy with your life. It doesn’t matter if Jin likes someone else or wants somebody else for a wife. You just need to let him know that you love him.

One night when he was dropping you off to your house, he told you that he won’t be seeing you for awhile as they’re going to get ready for their Hongkong tour. But he promised to text you new dad jokes when he can.

You had a feeling that you need to tell him about your feelings that night or it will be too late the next time. But you’re scared of the outcome and you’re not ready for it.

Jin gave you a quick hug and you both stared at each other after. For a moment, you wanted to f*ck everything and kiss him, but of course, you chickened out.

“‘I’ll see you when I get back? It will probably be hard for us to see each other because your boyfriend should be coming back soon right?” he asked

You just nod your head.

“I am going to miss you a lot then.”

Again, you just nod your head.

“You take care of yourself okay? Until the next time I see you? Try not to get any bruise. Ah, I am going to miss you fake laughing at all my jokes.”

“I’ll miss your jokes too, Jin”

He shook his head laughing and said, “My jokes are lucky, they’ll be missed by you.”

He hugged you one last time and you both said your goodbye. When he drove off, you went inside your house, regretting that you didn’t tell him your feelings. You wish that’s not the last time you’ll see him.

You were trying to hang your coat on the coat rack when you heard a knock on your door.

“Ah, what did he forget this time?” you told yourself

Your heart started beating so fast and you told yourself that this is it. You have to tell Jin your feelings or you won’t have any chance at all. As soon as you opened the door, you felt a heavy hand slapped your face.

Milo

Your eyes started to get blurry and you felt dizzy from the pain. Milo is yelling but you can’t seem to hear what he is saying. He grabbed your left hand and started choking you.

You tried to say something, but you can’t. His hands are getting tighter and tighter around your neck. After a few seconds, your face started to turn white, and then he let go.

“Is that what you’ve been doing while I was gone?” he yelled. “F*cking an Idol? You’re mine Y/N. Nobody is going to have you except me. Do you understand?”

“I don’t want to be with you anymore Milo” you tried to say clearly while still choking. You still feel his heavy hands around your neck.

“You know what’s going to happen to you right? If you leave me? I will kill myself and blame you for it. I will leak that video we have and see if they’ll still respect you after that! You are not getting away from me Y/N” he yelled in front of your face

“I don’t care Milo. Do what you need to do. Ruin me as much as you want. I don’t care anymore.” you replied, trying to stand up. You reached for your phone in your pocket. “Get the f*ck out of my house Milo or I am calling the police”

“We are not done yet Y/N. I am coming b----”

“Get the f*ck out of here Milo!” you screamed so hard despite your voice shaking and tears running down your cheeks.

He gave you one last look and left, slamming the door behind him.

You are left laying on the floor, crying. You wanted to call Jin but you don’t want him to worry about you. You called you mom and she answered. When she got to your house, you explained her everything.

“Y/N…” she hugged you tighter and started crying as well. She didn’t ask anything. You kept telling her how sorry you are for lying. She just told you not to worry about it and they’re going to do everything to protect you.

Part 1: This is long ask anon here to complain because I just... i can’t deal with how this fandom portrays dorian havilliard and i need to let it out once in a while. This is probably gonna be a long word vomit and first i want to say that everyone is entitled to their own opinion and interpretation and this whole thing might be a bit subjective but i feel like people either ignore canon or take what’s canon and than twist it up so so much that shsssjsjk

Pt 2: Anyway Fandom Dorian Havilliard is a Woke Sensitive Sexy Sad Boi who everyone feels sorry for and deserves happiness because Aelin chose Chaol instead of him and then treated him Badly (and because Sorscha died and he possessed by a valg prince and those are valid reasons but here is my wild take: Dorian didn’t suffer more than Aelin or Elide or Lysandra or even Manon who was after all emotionally and physically abused by her grandmother for over 100 years. People love saying there are a 

Pt 3: lot of parallels between manon and dorian so that manorian would make sense yet I don’t see anybody crying about the fact that manon didn’t have any real agency her entire life. I mean sure she could make battles plans and go out flying but she had no real control over anything. Even her view of the world was her grandmother’s Their entire nation was basically brainwashed. And Aelin, an 8 year-old kid under Arobynn? Yeah, not exactly in control of her own destiny. Not to mention endovier

There’s this constant bias Also how is Dorian the kindest and most compassionate and sensitive character in tog? Let me remind everyone of the first book when dorian was spending time with his pure-blooded puppies yet he had no trouble killing the mutt who wouldn’t listen to anyone. And it was AELIN who stepped in and 

Pt 5: asked him to save fleetfoot. Aelin who freed those slaves. Aelin who saved Yrene. Aelin who saved Manon, her enemy because she was moved by Asterin’s scream. Speaking of which does anyone remember when Manon saved Petrah, who she considered a rival, for a similar reason even if she had always been punished for any display of mercy or compassion. Pt 6: under her protection. None of them had anything to gain through their action but they still did it. That’s what an empathetic person does. And dorian…let me think of one moment when dorian was kind for any other reason than trying to Get The Girl. Hi everyone! This is my first post on tumblr and I'm so excited because I've been waiting for this day for so long. And I thought there is no better way to start off my first post with 25 Question Get To Know Me Tag!

I'll attempt to answer, as truthfully as I can so come and get to know me little bit better.

1. On a scale from 1 – 10, rate your childhood!

I had a very happy childhood, I may be bias though.

2. Where do you live?

I'm currently live in Jakarta!

3. How tall are you?

I'm only 155 cm or 5'1 ft. Smiley face.

4. Dogs or Cats?

Absolutely dogs. Dogs are just amazing! Truly man’s best friend. Someday I’m going to adopt my own dog and have a dog farm and that will be my career. Lol. someday soon, just watch.

5. Did you like school?

I like it but it’s 2019 and so much info can be found on the internet or in books. Everything I could learn in school I would learn it quicker on the internet, school doesn't teach people how to think, but what to think.. unless math or engineering is the focus.

6. What year were you born?

I was born in 1999, Rabbit year according to Chinese calendar and I grow up having them as pet.

7. Are you in/have you gone to college?

Yes. I'm majoring in law. Lol why am I here instead of doing my readings!

8. What is your favorite drink?

Mineral water (lol what), strawberry milk and matcha latte.

9. What is your spirit animal and why?

Snow leopard! I've watched many nature stuff documentaries but the snow leopard is, for me the most beautiful big cats of all!

A terrifying hunter in nature but so soo elegant and fluffy! They're just very majestic and captivating to look at!! Snow leopards are rare animal, never lets itself be seen — so every moment that caught on camera is really precious!

10. You’re wearing perfume, what scent is it?

Not really, but I like baby powder or baby cologne scent the most!

11. Have you ever met any celebrities?

Nope but I've been getting noticed by a lot of celebs. Um does it count?

My life goals is to keep living a happy and healthy life.

E sports! Lol. I do running and archery. I tried billiards when I was a child.. so I think it'd be worth another try!

Staying at home under the covers, watching hours of hours of long documentaries, playing with each other's hands, stealing kisses from each other and falling asleep to the sound of david attenborough OR going to a lake (picnic), laying on each other while cracking jokes, complimenting each other's abilities and sharing our deepest secrets!

I’ll just go with my regular hairstyle or very high ponytails! Very cute but convenient.

One! The 2 of us is already enough for my mom to have a headache everyday lol!

The first time I went out of country, like it feels surreal to me.

I'm one big "aloof until befriended" person. I don't approach people first and I don't let much people get to close to me, but if you're my friend I will protect you and support you with at all costs!

This is a very ignorant question/story time from an ignorant person (me). I’m Malaysian so I don’t exactly know the demographics of Australia very well.

1. When I watched TGP, and when they introduced Simone, I thought, nice! Another black character! And didn’t think much after that. But then I noticed she was the only African Australian character in the series (when they went to Australia), even in extras too, but I might’ve missed some, and I thought it was weird… Didn’t African Australian make up like 15% of the population…? And TGP was very progressive when it comes to diversity.. So I checked https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Australians and I’m shooked. African Australian’s population is less than 1.7%?! My dumb ignorant mind stupidly thought that your demographhics would be very similar to USA since I thought “Oh yea Australians, majority is white immigrants, like the US, probably similar demographics). I really thought there are lots of black people in Australia. TGP creating Simone also led me to think Black (kinda main) character means black people are that many that they decided to create a main character. I don’t mean this to be offensive, but in my mind, usually US TV shows create characters based on the demographics, like since US is mostly white, and then black, and then Asian (sorry for the grouping), then most of the TV show cast would follow that (with some added bias to white actors). So it would be mostly white, and then some black people, and then one or two Asians. Like if the cast is 20 people, then 13 would be white, 5 would be black, and 2 are Asians). Sorry if this is wrong and sounds stupid/ignorant.

2. Another big shock is, the Indigenuous population -Pakeha/Maori/Australian Aboriginal- are individually less than 1.7% :( That’s… so small… From what I’ve heard, Indigenuous Australians mostly live in the Northern Territory, and from reddit, they said that the land is barren, is it true?

3. A question. On the Indigenuous subsection of the wiki page I linked above, there are 3 main articles linked: Indigenous Australians, Aboriginal Australians, and Torres Strait Islanders. Do you know the differences between the first two disco, I thought Indigenuous Australians are called the Aboriginal people (synonym). Torres Strait Islanders are the Aboriginal people who live on the islands above that sharp peninsula and below PNG, right?

Okay so those are the 3 questions/story. I just want to tell someone and have them correct me on my wrong information. Also, sorry for the really bad English.

1. We don’t have a large African population in Australia at all, and most are very recent immigrants. I personally headcanon Simone as British, of African descent, who moved to Australia when she was younger. Because there’s no escaping that British accent of hers! 

2. Pakeha doesn’t mean indigenous. That’s a Maori term for a white person. Also, Maori people are not indigenous to Australia, although we have thriving Maori communities here. The Maori are indigenous to New Zealand. But we do have a very small indigenous population, thanks to European diseases that were brought here, and a colonial history of violence against indigenous people that decimated their population. I don’t know if most indigenous people live in the Northern Territory. You will find indigenous communities all across northern Australia, and regional Australia--by indigenous communities I mean towns where the population is almost exclusively indigenous (apart from government workers), and the town is run by an indigenous council. These communities are often very disadvantaged. But you will find Aboriginal people everywhere throughout Australia. 

(You might also want to look up the South Sea Islanders, who aren't classed as indigenous. They are the Australian descendants of Pacific Islanders (mostly form Vanuatu, New Caledonia, or the Solomon Islands, who were brought to Australia to work in the sugar plantations. Some were blatantly kidnapped, and some were told they would be given wages and allowed to return home--and then weren't. This was called “blackbirding”. It’s impossible now to know which people were treated legally (recruited, paid, and allowed to leave again) and which were forcibly enslaved. Definitely a dark chapter in Australia’s history, but the descendants of these people now make up the largest black non-indigenous population in Australia.) 

3. “Indigenous” is simply a term that encompasses both Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. We don’t tend to use the word “aboriginal” to describe all indigenous people, like they don in Canada for example. In Australia, Aboriginal refers to people who are indigenous to mainland Australia or Tasmania. A Torres Strait Islander person would not consider themselves Aboriginal, although they are indigenous. 

This is very broad information of course, but I hope it clears a few things up for you. And you have amazing English!
