There's this little widow guy hanging out on my window sill right? And I'm like hey bestie you gotta SKEDADDLE!!! You are SCARING ME!!

I don't want them climbing on me at night because the daddy long legs do that sometimes

But then they ate a fly right in front of me and I couldn't tell if it was a threat or if we were bonding but it looked cool so I'm leaving them alone

Anyway me and spiders are best friends!!

Say hello to Jumping Spider AU! Where Orange DIDN'T get to talk it out with Alan and was dropped to the Outernet. Where TDL got into another massive fights with TCO much more early that got them seperated before Orange was created and the whole Virabots thing (TCO kept the house. But only cause TDL refuse to live in the same house as he is)

TDL is convinced that he doesn't care about TCO, or that now he's alone, he doesn't need anyone! Until some Orange kid with the same head as him crashes onto him. Literally. Fate seems to hate him (or pity him?)

Absolutely criminal that you can't tame any of the spiders in Grounded :( They're my special lil guys!! I wanna pet them!!!

So Obsidian this is my pitch to add tameable jumping spiders that can hang out in your base and produce webs for you! You can even add a bug slurry to tame them with :)

Some critters I met over Easter break <3 I held ALL OF THEM. Here’s a fellla that I was scared to hold cuz I read they were aggressive that found me anyway… I shouldn’t have jumped but I got spooked,,

I love jumping spiders and their big eyes and little grabby hands. You should trust them.

Quickest way to start fights in animal related ares of the internet is to say simple factual statements that people don't want to admit to themselves like

I hope no one ever ever ever kills this specific spider because i love them. They just propelled down from the register roof to land on my arm and hang out

I found a jumping spider recently

They're the only type of spider I can handle

I let her crawl into my hand

She was never aggressive, just curious

Sometimes defensive

Raising her legs in a threat display if my other fingers moved too fast near her

And I can understand why

To see something so incomprehensibly large

Something that could kill you with an errant twitch

It must be frightening.

I was still nervous handling her

I'd been bitten before and wasn't eager to experience it again

But I let her crawl around

And I felt her little barbed paws grip onto my skin

There is a certain level of trust involved when handling animals

Trusting that they won't attack

It is impossible to tell them your intentions are good

The spiders can't know what we're thinking

So when we move too fast or twitch because their fur tickles

It's understandable that they feel threatened

After all, they can't understand what we are

They just continue crawling

But we could kill them so easily

I wonder if spiders believe in God?
