There's this little widow guy hanging out on my window sill right? And I'm like hey bestie you gotta SKEDADDLE!!! You are SCARING ME!!

I don't want them climbing on me at night because the daddy long legs do that sometimes

But then they ate a fly right in front of me and I couldn't tell if it was a threat or if we were bonding but it looked cool so I'm leaving them alone

So Obsidian this is my pitch to add tameable jumping spiders that can hang out in your base and produce webs for you! You can even add a bug slurry to tame them with :)

Pete Noir and Hobie bonded over their shitty, gritty universes, accidentally got mixed up in each others' business and punched out fascists together, never once asked a weird question (such as "are you okay" or "why did you kill that guy" or "what the fuck are you doing"), got drunk together, found out that the rest of the Web-Warriors is very against underage drinking, and built a bomb that almost blew a bunch of fellow spider-people up because fuck it that's why. This all happened in a single day, they've been besties ever since and you can pry that headcanon from my cold, dead hands.

Also Hobie had a long talk with Pete about acceptable language, especially for Black folks. (I'm convinced Pete, for whom "punk" is a synonym for "weak-ass faggot" tried to defend Hobie when the others referred to them as a punk and then immediately called him a racist slur--on accident of course bc it's just a normal word for him.)

Anyways they're besties in every iteration.
