my thoughts after first period:

- i will NEVER get tired of seeing quinn during the anthems ever

- i love the atmosphere in the arena. everyone’s so friendly and energetic and i love to be a part of it

- DANIEL FUCKING SPRONG. i’m so excited to see him play throughout the season

-BROCK BOESER!!! i have a feeling (i know for a fact) he’s definitely breaking some of his personal milestones this year

- J.T miller. i love you. provides phenomenal plays AND a fight. 10/10 keep it up king (also his wife and kids being there 🥹)

- NOW CONOR GARLAND MY SHORT KING. truly an amazing player to watch

- quinn hughes. oh where do i begin. you can already see the impact he’s having on the team in his second year has barely started. i’m so excited to see where he’s taking this team.

overall, i can’t wait for the rest of this season and im very hopeful that Canada can bring the cup home (hopefully vancouver but ill be happy regardless who it goes to as long as its a canadian team 🥰)

Okay, time for something actually relating to my telling of Casper. Which by that, I just mean me rambling.

I don't know why I chose Stretch to be last to die. Honestly, it just sort of came out that way. Not to mention the way he did.

Admittedly, I did have some trouble on how that would come to be. And the one thing I landed on was him attempting to get answers from J.T. More so because that man didn't seem to care about a single person that died unexpectedly. Not even his own boy. Then again, J.T never built that bond a father and son should have.

Not that he could anyways, that child was scared of him.

Genuinely terrified, as the one instance he tried to speak to J.T when he was seven, he ran away. With Stretch or Simon in this case hearing from Franklin that the boy couldn't let go of his pant leg. Quietly whispering to his uncle that he (J.T) wasn't a nice man. Franklin was going to assure Casper that he wasn't so bad, but when he saw Casper's eyes? His usual jovial demeanor fell instantly.

This kid was really terrified. J.T had never touched or even spoke to his son, yet one meeting alone made Casper wish he had never seen him.

And going forward, Casper never wanted to hear a thing about J.T. Didn't want to see him either and quickly forgot his face as time went by. And his father off to do God knows what.

So, very different from the 1995 movie that many ppl seem to compare mine to. Can't be mad though cause I still use some of the material. Not by much as things have changed with mine :p

Alrighty, I just queued my Whumptober posts through Friday! So far, I have Baldur's Gate 3 (expect plenty of that this event), Dragon Age, Devil May Cry, and The Old Guard. What other fandoms pr characters would you guys like to see me writing for this event? My Devil May Cry prompts always seem to be a favorite, so I'll try to get some more of those in!

maybe a weird question, but have you ever thought about how lila might slot into the JT/HIT universe? she might be an awkward fit into the SM universe proper but seems like she'd have fun being a complete menace with number!

Have I? Have I!? Yes lol

The main version I rotate is Lila is with our Hargreeves and thus lands with them for the events of HIT. It's fun for everyone! Rob gets the brief joy of "Five has a friend!" before being hit with their fucked up history between Five killing her parents and his weird relationship with her abusive adoptive mother (@non-plutonian-druid has made art of this HERE). Lila has fun meeting Number, I think they hit it off, too, to Number's bemusement. Number has a personal crisis about the fact Diego is going to be a father. Good times all around.

For a larger picture of how Lila fits in the JT-HIT multiverse, @non-plutonian-druid had a great line of logic, that I will now share here like it is my own: Lila only exists in Five's timeline, because she was pulled out of it before it branched into Number's (and Shifting Mirror's) timeline. Because she grew up outside of time, with the Commission, she wasn't there to be "duplicated" by the branch point. She can jump between them fine, and if she jumps to the branch point (arguments can be made for if that's November 2002 or January 2013), she'd become duplicated and have to watch out for Paradox Psychosis and whatnot, but as long as she stays away from that exact point, there's only one of her (in these timelines).

If I remember correctly I think I saw one of your answered asks saying that J.Ts ghost was very distorted

What would distorted look or sound like? Do the trio and Casper know there's someone else there but they can't place their finger on who it is (or was)?

And if J.T were to become un-distorted, would the trio recognise him and try to make his afterlife hell?

Now that I managed to illustrate it, the intent I was going for was his form to be unrecognizable and grounded to a single place. A place that I doubt many ghosts that can move traverse in. And I’ll tell you simply and plainly, those four are not interested or the least bit concerned about J.T and his whereabouts. They sort of figured he’d already been sent to hell. (Note: the trio think of the hell part, Casper hasn't given it much thought)

And he’s likely to stay the way he is due to what he has done in his life. For the man that travelled around the world, he now remains planted to his grave. Permanently altered to fit his soul. He’s given no peace and is fixed in a painful position. Wailing and trying his best to move with no success.

Never to be recognized as a person. Ever.
