This is basically a list of animes that helps get over or deal with the trauma inflicted by various animes. At the moment, I guess fellow JJK fans might need this, and prolly AOT fans on November 5. Have fun watching

Haikyuu

Short Synopsis: Determined to be like the volleyball championship's star player nicknamed "the small giant", Shoyo joins his school's volleyball club.

Episodes: 85 + 5 OVA

The worst thing that can possibly happen is either the 3rd year students graduating or you being unable to support a specific team (nah cuz bro how do you pick and root for one? I end up being happy for the team that won and depressed for the team that lost)

Highschool Babysitters

Synopsis: After the sudden death of their parents on a plane crash, two young brothers named Ryūichi Kashima (a freshman in high school) and his younger brother Kotarō (a preschooler) are left orphaned and having no place to call home. The chairwoman of the prestigious Morinomiya Academy offers to take the boys into her care, giving them a new house and free tuition, on the condition that Ryuichi helps out with the school's daycare center while also attending normal classes during school hours.

Note: Plane crash seems sad but trust me, its only mentioned in the first episode, and the rest 11 is just fluffy goodness. Nothing can prepare you for the cuteness.

Cells At Work

Synopsis: One newcomer red blood cell just wants to do her job. Between bacteria incursions and meeting a certain white blood cell, she's got a lot to learn.

Episodes: 31 + 7

A good mix of science and entertainment. The episodes dont have to be watched in any specific order.

Mr. Osomatsu

Synopsis: The everyday lives of identical sextuplets who cause mischief.

Episodes: 75 + special eps + movies

Has a good amount of 18+ jokes, but its not too overwhelming. It doesnt necessarily follow a plot, and each episode is usually two different stories combined. So, skipping episodes should be fine. Also, it features very popular voice actors for the sextuplets (Geto's VA, Gojo's VA, Levi's VA, Koro sensei's VA, Erwin's VA and Haku/ Sugawara's VA), Iyami (Obanai Iguro's VA), Totoko (Shoko's VA)

The Vampire Dies in No Time

Synopsis: The story follows the famed vampire hunter, Ronaldo, who receives a job to destroy the supposedly invincible vampire lord Draluc and rescue a human boy he allegedly kidnapped.

Episodes: 24

Note: Its a hit or miss, the running gag is used constantly and gets tiring at times, but the overall anime is a good watch. I personally loved John the Armadillo

Buddy Daddies

Synopsis: Assassins Kazuki Kurusu and Rei Suwa meet Miri, a girl looking for her father on Christmas Day. Kazuki, Rei, and Miri unexpectedly end up living together.

Episodes: 12

May get dark at times, so I wont guarantee that itll be a smooth sail, but we get a wholesome conclusion so you can count on that! Otherwise VERY fluffy

Blue Lock

Synopsis: High school soccer players from across Japan gather for a controversial project designed to create the best and most egoistic striker in the world.

Episodes: 24

Isnt exactly true football, but yeah. The anime is pretty fine. It doesnt exactly go under the fluffy anime like i mentioned in the title, but you can check it out if you want.

Free!!

Synopsis: The story is centered on high school student Haruka Nanase, a gifted swimmer. After encountering his childhood rival, Rin Matsuoka from Samezuka Academy, he and his friends revitalize Iwatobi High School's swim team.

Episodes: 37 + specials and movies

This anime to me, personally is what haikyuu is. A great comfort anime which knows how to make the viewer connect with the characters. I dislike it when the whole anime gets reduced to just fanservice, like guys lets look beyond that and actually enjoy the plot.

Life Lessons With Uramichi Oniisan

Synopsis: From smoking and exercising to nihilistic outbursts, everyone's big brother Uramichi always brings up the not-so-moral side to his life lessons

Episodes: 13

This one is very real and relatable in many levels. Theres a lot of screenshots and panels available online, so you can check a few out before watching!

Obey Me

Synopsis: Brothers Lucifer, Mammon, Leviathan, Satan, Asmodeus, Beelzebub, and Belphegor are among the most powerful demons in the Devildom, serving as officers on the student council at the Royal Academy of Diavolo (RAD). However, being avatars of the seven deadly sins, their behaviors often tend toward the extreme. Their everyday antics belie their high status and fearsome reputations among others of their kind. When viewed behind the scenes, the members of this family are more lovable—and laughable—than they first seem!

Episodes: 24 + 1

It's based on a popular otome game, and can be watched as it is even if you havent played the game. The basic idea is that theyre based on the 7 sins, so their personalities are really amusing. As for the plot, its pretty wholesome.

Play It Cool Guys

Synopsis: Despite their distinctive personalities, Souma Shiki, Hayate Ichikura, Shun Futami, and Takayuki Mima all have one thing in common: though naturally clumsy, the four disguise their embarrassment from tiny slip-ups by maintaining a composed demeanor. However, it is actually the guys' airheaded natures that makes the girls' hearts throb. No matter what happens in their daily lives, the boys do their best not to lose their cool!

Episodes: 24

Each episode is barely 10-13 minutes, so it just doesnt feel enough lol. Most of their slip ups are relatable and could get a chuckle from the viewer. The art style is a little different but its good. Definitely worth watching, once or even multiple times.

Tanaka Kun is Always Listless

Synopsis: For high school student Tanaka, the act of being listless is a way of life. Known for his inattentiveness and ability to fall asleep anywhere, Tanaka prays that each day will be as uneventful as the last, seeking to preserve his lazy lifestyle however he can by avoiding situations that require him to exert himself. Along with his dependable friend Oota who helps him with tasks he is unable to accomplish, the lethargic teenager constantly deals with events that prevent him from experiencing the quiet and peaceful days he longs for.

Episodes: 13 + specials

Not gonna lie, Ive wanted to act like Tanaka. The characters are lovable and the anime is worth giving a try. An underrated gem. I personally loved the school festival episode.

Mayonaka Punch Ep12 (Finale)

That was a great show. I went in not expecting much but I shoulda trusted PA, they can cook. It was a bit over the place, but it's highs were really high and the lows were still better than the average episode for most shows so it balances out in the end. I really liked the twist in the finale, I thought it was weird that it started off so serious (including ep11) but the payoff was good. I figured out what was going on right before it was revealed but not fully. At the end the yuri didn't amount to anything but I figured that'd be the case, so I didn't have my hopes up or anything. The reason why Live is so into Masaki was cute too. TL;DR: Great show, fun cast with good voices too and a lot of fun and goofy episodes. Tho funnily enough my favourite episode was one of the more serious ones (ep 4 which I did talk about). But yeah, really fun slice of life show that did a good job with it's concept. Trust PA 👍

Oh also, it had my favourite op of the season (from stuff I watched), it's just really catchy and fun (samurai's is the runner up)

The Elusive Samurai Ep 12 (Finale)

Great adaptation for a great series, I wish all of them could get an anime this good. There were some weaker episodes but they were masked well enough and the use of CG was to be expected considering how many people are in some of these battles. The sakuga we got was great tho, with a shoutout to ep 9 where they really went off. All the little changes and additions they did for the anime were really good as well. Sadly there was no announcement or even tease for a S2 and the way the episode ended felt very final so I'm worried this is all we'll get, but hopefully I'm wrong. Regardless of all that, it was a great anime and well worth the watch even if you haven't read the manga (tho the manga gets much better after what was covered here)

Pokemon Horizons Ep67

That was a pretty good end to this arc. The outcome of the battle was as expected but at least it was somewhat close. It was nice to see the evolution tho, we already knew it'd evolve cause of the promo material for the next arc so it kinda makes sense it'd be in this climax. Wish the explorers had done more since they infiltrated the school and all but they don't do enough in general, outside of plot eps, so we're used to it I guess. With the next arc focusing more on story stuff with them pursuing rayquaza again, and the other missing mons, I hope they show up some more but I doubt it. We'll also get the dlc charas so that'll be fun at least

Jujutsu Kaisen Ch271 (Finale)

Man where do I even start. I didn't accompany the series for that long, I caught up on chap 238 which was a bit over a year ago but it feels much longer than that. It was a great series from start to finish. It may not seemed like I liked it that much since I gave it a 7 but it would've been an 8 if the story wasn't so convoluted and hard to follow. It's also one of the rare cases where I'll say the anime is actually better than the manga. But regardless of any of that it's still a perfect example of what a WSJ series should be to me.

Gege's art was good and he always did a great job of making readable fight scenes that flowed well from panel to panel and that were really creative. The power system ended up as one of my favourites. The cursed techniques were already cool and creative but the introduction of all the domain expansions and the various binding vows people could place on themselves to change how they worked were super cool. A lot of my OC's powers and abilities are modeled after this because I liked it THAT much. My favourites in the end were what I expected early on, Maki and Gojo. Maki obviously, cause if you know me you know that I love the "guy with no powers that's just strong enough to go toe to toe with others" trope. And Gojo cause, to be honest, he's just so damn cool. Like at first, and from what I knew before reading, I was like "Oh he's just some overpowered pretty boy that all the fangirls love" but he turned out to actually be great. I know he got used a lot as a deus ex machina and Gege even had to seal him away or he wouldn't have been able to do the Culling Game Arc but that doesn't make me like him any less. Still miffed about what happened to win and it getting turned into a meme, cause he was RIGHT, he would've won against sukuna for sure, the reason he lost was because Sukuna had Mahoraga and the other summons since he was in Fushiguro's body but oh well, he still put up and incredible fight and gave us one of the coolest fights in the series

Anyway, I'm rambling now so I'll stop. I loved the series, I know I didn't talk about it much and there's others I like more but it was still a really fun ride from start to finish. It's entertainment and it did it's job for it's whole run, what else can you ask for? I'll certainly be looking forward to Gege's next series whenever he decides to come back. Just like the memes say: "Stand proud. You can cook."

I didn't expect to talk about this one so soon but this chap was way better than the first one and did a way better job at selling the series. They shoulda cut some of the stuff in ch1 so it could've ended in the pic below but oh well. At least I'm not as down on it as I was last week so that's good at least

Undead Unluck Ch224

Let's goooooo this is exactly what I wanted After the last chap, where they skipped the 1v1 fights against the master rules and went straight into ragnarok me, and everyone reading, were worried that the series was rushing to a premature end. It's been doing pretty bad in ratings for a while but we figured it's because the magazine is gonna let it run it's course so it's placement doesn't matter anymore. But after seeing it skip straight to the last boss like this had us questioning it. However, I did point out last week that god had those numbered balls floating around him that weren't there before and that they prob were the master rules and that everyone was gonna go inside and beat them to weaken god, and I was absolutely correct 😎 Now I just hope that everyone at least gets 2 or 3 chaps for their fight and none of them happens off screen

the first season is an exemplary way of telling the audience what kind of person the main character is, and it could be summarized in this single scene, at the ending of its season finale.

"people die as long as you lives."

yuuji eating the first finger causing sukuna to manifest causes a ripple effect, awakening severed curses that starts killing people. curses that has links towards sukuna has been lying dormant for years until the moment yuuji "awakened" sukuna, something that he unnecessarily took the burden of blame for.

megumi knows this, and he knows that the curse could start killing any time it wants and being awakened by sukuna's manifestation is something that nobody expected. he knows that yuuji only ate the finger to save him, and he also knows the blame that yuuji will put in his shoulders entirely.

it is almost like everyone around yuuji knows this, that yuuji is the kind of person to just take the blame and guilt and carry them on his own, so they are careful to not disclose too much details to him, lest he goes on to carry the burden of every death he has encountered.

but he knows it anyway, and in this case courtesy of sukuna.

but the most interesting albeit the most hurtful part, is that the only thing he says at the moment is to not say that in front of megumi. to not insinuate that the person that megumi has chosen to save, has caused deaths to so many people.

even in this moment where someone is mocking him for something that he does not have the control over (which yuuji doesn't believe as such) he does not want to hurt other people, specifically here megumi. megumi who has warned him about saving someone who would kill someone else in the future. megumi whom has saved yuuji, who (at least in his minds) has a lot of blood on his hands.

he didn't want megumi to become the person who saved a murderer.

but he believes that he is now. that he is responsible for the deaths of the people killed by sukuna-linked curses, responsible for the deaths of people he couldn't save. at least he wouldn't want megumi to hear it.

Annon-Guy: So, for a potential second anime adaptaion for BLACK CAT, how many episodes do you think it would run for to cover all 20 Volumes?

The original had 24 episodes, 12 of which were anime original with the What-If Version of the Torneo Arc [Episodes 1 - 7], the Botanical Garden Fight [Episode 8] and the Eden Arc [Episodes 21 - 24]

P.S. Got any good English VA's for Train, Eve, Sven and Rinslit in case their are no Role Reprisals?

I think it would be divided into two seasons, each with two courses, about 6-8 eps for every course. The first season may cover up until the mad gunman arc, tapping a bit into the castle fight arc. The second season would be the rest. In short, there should be about 24 or 30 eps overall. Black Cat is no longer a popular work, so they probably would not produce any filler ep.

Don't really got any, sorry. I'm more of a sub person. However, I think Gojo's VA would be a good choice for Train. I don't watch JJK, but TikTok is filled with edits of him. The mentioned VA has performed both playfulness and seriousness in Gojo's personality very well, something that definitely matters in showing Train's character as well.

Ahhhh I've been super busy the last week, not having the time to get down to answering until now. Appreciate the concern, though! But don't worry yourself! I would also dip from the media sometimes if I couldn't find the mood, so it's really nothing serious.

It should be out now! Usually when we say something is out, we mean it's out with subtitles, though sometimes there is an (up to 30 minute) delay from the Japanese release time to give people time to add subs. I don't know when the release time actually is but I'm pretty sure it's passed by now.

Official anime sites like crunchy roll also sometimes make you wait 24 hours just to encourage you to buy premium. Don't fall for it, just wait 24 hours. Don't let capitalism win!!!

Watched 5 episodes of uh the one about the edgy feral witch"s apprentice and i kept waiting for it to get good and theres some good story ideas but too much of is stupid. Also would have worked better with a female protag. Wow he really is consistently feral rather liked that concept actually. But too much of it is contrived like dude's phone has a command to conveniently unlock all the cells with no restrictions or in general the lack to security checks on weapons. Or really the put the one witch baby tree where the humans can get it? And then protag levels half a city but struggles to kill this one dude. Also anime crimes against women: rape for cheap drama is so boring to watch. Op ed songs were great tho.

Finally watching jujutsu kaisen and over the last few years i have seen sooo much stuff for this show and i still didnt know that pink? hair was the protag i usually see the white and black haired dudes. Oh this is well produced, and the animation is good. I see why people like it. Lesbian. I love her already. Oh black hair ive been seeing isnt megumi its the dude with plugs and hair tied up.

Ep5: ok thats very interesting the dynamic. Megumi's trying to get himself and itadori out alive. Initially tries to pressure ... Sukuna? To regenerate even willing to sacrifice his life then switches to suppression because he has no chance in a fight even if that risks itadori bleeding out. Oh theres the dude ive been seeing he's an antagonist? Also whiplash from itadori dying (im assuming some bs happens that revives him) to school tournament.

What is up with all these dudes ripping their shirts off?? This is like the 3rd time this has happened??

I cant remember do sukuna and itadori remember when the other is in control? Also for a series about highschoolers there is remarkably little highschool stuff the cast could easily be in their early 20s joining an organization.

24. it's interesting to see how anime has changed over the years. if jjk had been released in 2003 this would have been an episodic monster of the week style show where every episode they would take out a different curse with reused animation.

Movie: i like how for once the big monster is a girl. The contrast between jjk 0 and the main series really highlights two genres jjk could have taken. With okkotsu(?) Jjk is a darker supernatural horror thriller with its shy low self esteem protag like deadman wonderland or tokyo ghoul among others there was an era where this style/subgenre was very popular. The second genre with itadori is the hotblooded battle shounen. I actually like the latter so im not complaining just an observation. Also i see why tumblr and twitter like geto.

S2e1: gay. The op end ed might as well be ship amvs

I think I've come around on gojo its funny how the show goes out of its way to tell the audience how good looking he is like girls swarming him or characters commenting on his pretty eyes and flawless skin and then the part i really like how this is contrasted with his annoying personality that no one likes. Its so funny, his coworkers tolerate him at best theres like maybe 3 people tops that actively like being around him. Also he only really started covering his eyes after the flashback arc, i wonder if its because of those events whether its the unlocking 6 eyes (why is it called that) or geto leaving. Because with the blindfold he mostly just looks like a weirdo. I also cant help but wonder if gojo losing sight of his humanity during the tengen incident, like he seemed very... unmoored? meant geto didnt have a grounding point to rely on later. So by the time gojo had figured himself out and how to be a functioning person again geto was already gone.

Scrolled through tumblr and wow people are horny for the deadbeat. Also nanami. The oldest womb dude too but i expected that since he's a half dead looking goth which is just up tumblr's alley. Wow i havent seen a reader insert plague this bad since haikyuu. Go straight girls go (just stay away from me).

39 eyy reached the last currently available episode. lots of active plot threads. i still don't know what was up with chrono(?) or where he ran off to. deadbeat zombi toji has picked out megumi. mahito and whats his face are roaming around. not sure I'll read the manga but i might skim it. the best part of this show is the cool fight scenes afterall.

Was thinking about the framing of the flashback arc op and ed. And they appear so carefree and warm because we're seeing how gojo remembers his highschool days. He's dreaming of days past wishing he could return to them.
