Vorrei fosse pubblicata anche in italiano in modo che più persone potessero leggerla, ma è anche vero che è un genere molto di niccchia.

Sansa could do it, if she really wanted, but the historical Elizabeth did not have an easy time with her decision. She had dozens of suitors and was even on the cusp of betrothal a couple of times. Her privy council nearly lost their minds in fear of her dying without an heir. They were so desperate that for a moment they were willing to accept Robert Dudley as a husband, which was a terrible choice for a number of reasons.

My point is, Elizabeth remains, 500 years later still the only (adult) British sovereign who never married. Her personal and historical circumstances were unique, and have never been repeated. She was an outlier, the exception, not the rule.

Sansa knows her duty is to produce an heir, and I doubt George wrote all that motherhood foreshadowing for nothing.

!!! And the Starks don’t have a great record here. Think about the previous generation. Rickard and his heir die, then that happens to the canon generation with Ned and Robb, and they’ve lost the other boys too...I mean, the heir issue is just not something that can be dismissed. Especially when the North has suffered so and Winterfell has been taken...there's such recent reminders of how precarious it all is. It wouldn't be reasonable for the Northern Lords ignore the issue.

I don't know what D&D were thinking with the Elizabeth I stuff other than, they had just killed off the two other queens, one in a way that would infuriate fans, so it's possible they thought that framing Sansa that way would help counter what they had to know was coming for them? Right after the show ended some of us speculated that we got a scrambled eggs version of events and that Sansa was to be QitN much earlier.

I have a few hangups when it comes to resolving the Northern succession crisis because it isn’t clear to me which path answers all the issues.

Considering Jon's repressed desire for Winterfell, I don't think he'd ever be able to take it, not after Robb's death and while trueborn Starks lived. Some have suggested that the show's version of he's KitN and Sansa is LoW is the compromise, but if we're basing KitN on Robb's Will, I don't see how the Lords accept and push for him to be king regardless, if he's refusing to inherit? That’s what the will was for.

This is where Jonnel/Sansa comes in and I've said before, Jonsa could be the contrast where the marriage where, rather than taking from the girl, it’s actually the way to give her home back to her/rectify a wrong. And I don't want to dismiss the precariousness of the situation and that Jon (at Sansa's urging) might go along with inheriting or being KitN in order to unite the North and prepare for war, but the guilt. And also, that works in the specific scenario, what of the overall issue of girls being passed over? I mean, Jon will have lots of rumors floating around him post rez, not sure that he could be a unifying force? And the idea of a bastard rising up to lead them...idk.

That brings me to the bastard issue! How society looks at bastards is obviously horribly unfair to the kids, so is Martin gonna progress the North on this issue by them rallying behind Jon or will it be Sansa having a child who may or may not be legitimate but is her heir? As in, she’s still married to Tyrion, will the North say fuck it and have Jon and Sansa marry under their own religion or if R+L=J isn’t widely known yet or Jon is controversial in the North, they secretly marry and Sansa “legitimizes” her child later and that progresses the issue?

Passions in Death by J. D. Robb

In Death 59

A hen party held at the Down and Dirty, owned by an old friend of Lt. Eve Dallas, ends with the murder of one of the brides. She's requested to take the case and agrees, although the location brings back memories of being attacked in the same room at her own bridal party years earlier. The investigation leads to a tribe of female friends and Eve's conviction that the killer was known by the victim.

The themes of friendship and how interconnected the members become runs throughout the story, Peabody comparing Eve's increasingly widening circle to that of the victim and her fiancée. Those relationships are making Eve reflective about how her life not only changed, but improved personally, not just professionally.

The reader is also provided updates on some of the personal projects that are peripherally throughout many of the previous books, such as the Off Duty bar and the Great House renovation where Mavis, Leonardo, Bella, Peabody, and McNab will be living.

The crime is, as many of these are, terribly tragic. The focus is primarily on Dallas this time, yet the others involved still have their time through her observations. One of the things that I do love about Nora Roberts' writing, whether in romance or mysteries, is how she portrays female characters and their relationships with other women. Too many times female characters are sidelined or made antagonistic towards the heroine.

I will admit that I began leaning toward the actual killer about halfway through the book, probably because I recognized the type from my own high school years. I was never part of the various cliques, instead having casual friends amongst them all and I had a habit of observing the various members of each.

Overall an enjoyable read.

I live and breathe video games! It's probably no exaggeration that I'm always playing something, whether it's a new release that I'm interested in or an older beloved game that I felt like revisiting. At the moment I'm playing Unicorn Overlord and really enjoying it!

Apart from that, I of course read a lot, definitely more fanfic than physical books. In saying that though, there is one book series that I've been following for many years now, which is the In Death series by J. D. Robb. Highly recommend it to anyone who likes crime mysteries!

Resident Evil is my current, and so far longest running (over a year!!), fanfic hyperfixation, and it's all thanks to the awesome little community that's formed on AO3 and Tumblr! ❤❤❤

@fictionalbullshitter Okay and now we'll move onto @bendingthelaws parts of this. Have your snack and drink? I'm not sure if this one will be as long. *peeks over at my blorbos and wip* Yeah, probably still a good idea.

The main influences of Bending the Law would be a mix of several TV Shows. Law & Order, Chicago PD, Chicago Fire, City Confidential, The FBI Files, CSI, Forensic Files, Cold Case, and other shows along the same line. You may recognize a character from one here and another there because there are influences pulled from many places, but there are no direct dupes in my blorbos. They are an amalgamation of my love of true crime and law shows, as well as fictional ones. Not to mention my love of Nora Robert's nom de plume J. D. Robb's "In Death" series of books. There is also some of the show Bones here and Kathy Reich's books that the show are based off of.

If I were to try to list out the number of podcasts I listen to that I've drawn from to place here, I would be typing till my fingers were little bloody sumps with nails loosely attached to bones. You should see the looks on coworkers when they open the door to my office to hear some podcaster giving autopsy information in details that are a bit more in depth that most could stomach. Even worse when I'm eating.

I also will binge seasons of Dr. G Medical Examiner, which is about what it sounds like. I was married to a Funeral Director for a Decade...4 of those years in Louisiana where there is no refrigeration at most Funeral Homes...you can't gross me out. So...I draw on experience for much of Serena's experience...although I do try to spare the reader. Not everyone can eat noodles while listening, let alone watching, something about disemboweling and stomach contents.

Serena is based off of Dr. G, Dr. Jan Garavaglia. She was a Medical Examiner in Florida from 2004 until her retirement in 2015. Kathy Reichs is also an inspiration for Serena, but not as much as Dr. G. Both women are actually women I greatly admire.

Some of the characters in this story draw more upon those I have known in my real life than my other two main WIP's. Part of that has to do with the people I know and their lines of work. Part of that has to do with my interests and my post-secondary education. I am, at my heart, one huge ass nerd.
