Ouff when I see this one, I get a little bit sad by how little attention this poor piece has gotten yet x'D
Honstly at some point I would pretty much like to go see Itsukushima-jinja and take a lot of photos and just paint from them >w<

Landscape painting practise. The only way to get good at it, is to practise. Do it often. Do many different things, so I guess I just started :') I had a reference photo of Itsukushima Jinja, but I ignored all the civilization and houses in the background, I just focused on clouds and tried to give the painting depth. I hope it somehow worked.

Day 4 Miyajima Day 2 (2)
Going back I went through the shopping street, Omotesendou :D It has a lot of streetfood (and even the gacha corner is deer themed ^^). Hiroshima is famous for the setouchi lemon, so you can get everything in lemon flavor! And unfortunately I love that... As easy as it is for me to skip all the matcha, I'm weak to lemon-flavored stuff ^^;;; I skipped the fried momiji manju, though... Oily deep fry in 35°C is just no...
Then high tide arrived and it was great. the seabed fully flooded, the lower stairs too, and more of the shrine too. You can compare images about the back of the shrine, it is not fully flooded though. Too bad it got cloudy, but this is also another face of Miyajima to experience. If I waited 30 more minutes, the sun returned, but I was just too tired already. I also didn't experience sunset there, but I need to leave some things for next time :D Nature is amazing, and I want to see many other faces of Miyajima in future.
I used the JR ferry to go back, but it's really no different from the other one. The evening was spent buying all the lemon flavored omiyage for myself at the station orz Btw, Hiroshima is famous for the streetcar, so I used that in the morning to get to the boat, but I do not recommend. Much slower than the bus running the same route.

Day 5 Hiroshima
Sticking the last day here, since not much happened. I went back to the hill above the station to visit more shrines, but there are still much more to conquer the next time. Tsuruhane Shrine has many wind chimes (and crane figures). Myoujouin Temple has a gorgeous garden, and at the temple you are free to go back to look at statues and hanging scrolls. No photos, because I did not think it was appropriate ^^; Interestingly, it has a ginkgo tree that survived the atomic bombing - now it has a Buddha head carved inside, and the tree is still alive! The last stop was Nigitsu shrine, also with torii with "legs". I had lunch in the shopping district (there is a vegetarian Chinese place, this was my second time and I will be back for more), and said goodbye to Hiroshima in the late afternoon. I will definitely back, I guess you have to go during momiji time, although no idea how I can make it fit with work...
(Next longer planned trip is Nagasaki during the Chinese lantern festival *__*)
