It was true the last time u had seen ur triplet brothers u had curly brown hair what hung just past ur chest , braces with pink bands , nails did but very short what u was forced to have done by ur best friend. Any spare time you had you would write down ur thoughts , ways to tell ur family, name ideas and in the end it was full to the brim. It was a mix of a scrapbook and a diary it had photos cut out of outfits and where to buy the clothes and accessories from written next to it aswell as haircuts cut out so when u came out and got ur hair done you could show the barber what u wanted.

hear ye, hear ye! not every demon slayer character is hot, the mangaka is just bad at drawing different faces

while im on the subject of rants and just being on here in general is this a safe space to say that very few men in demon slayer are ACTUALLY that hot and its just because the mangaka has the worst case of same face syndrome ive ever seen. no, shinjuro is not attractive. he's a violent drunk deadbeat but because hes drawn with the same eyes, proportions, and that STUPID FUCKING COPY PASTE NOSE people willingly admit to finding that thing hot. lemme just. hold on.

like look at these four. chose em randomly, they arent related, notice how the only variation in their faces is eyes/eyebrows, and expression? same face shape for all of em. same general proportions. you could switch around the faces from head to head and itd still look like them. "oh but rengoku's eyes are so unique!!" his whole family looks like a copy paste factory to the point the only thing distinguishing shinjuro from senjuro is a few extra lines on his face. thats not unique thats just bad design. ive never seen a show that does such a bad job at distinguishing ages as this one. it's infuriating because what do you mean a 13 year old and grown demon lady share the same face.

and then people get pissy when artists with semirealistic styles draw the characters and they don't all look the same like sorry man im not drawing zenitsu and tanjiro with the same face because guess what!!! real people have variation! and saying its just the style of the show is a dumb excuse. hantengu and gokko have the most realistic features and literally even that doesnt stop them from looking really similar to everyone else. i love this show but i rarely interact with the fandom because i never see people calling out how boring they look sometimes. give me a character with a hooked nose! a babyfaced character that isnt just 5 years old! make their eyes smaller! add freckles and other small unique traits! give them different face shapes for the love of god im begging you. i feel like im the only one who realizes that as beautiful as the art is it lacks the unique character designs because at the end of the day a character design is more than their haori, eyes, and hairstyle.

they are just. all the same build, usually same hairstyles and fashion theres NOTHINGGG that differentiates one persons gijinka from another because thats how similar they look to me, also if i were to color these do u think it would make it more obvious who is who? okitadad's blue eyes are a reference to the accursed manga color palette for soggy. this is the closest you will get to a blue eyed sougo from me im sorry he looks so bad w/ them.

the funny lil loop over the eye from okitamom is present in both mitsuba's hairstyle & the occasional soggy design (bfy, souko, etc. basically if his hair is longer its there.)

like mother like daughter (died of illness) like father like son (destined for the battlefield)

they really just. look like carbon copies of their mom huh. whoopsies.

what drew me to ramuda initially was his hairstyle + the difference between his silly and serious moments. coming from venti it was like ohhh he was made in a lab for me okay hfbdhsj then it turns out he was. lol. but anyway this is leading into fandom characterization! i think similarly to venti (and later dazai) ramuda falls into that hole where people will simplify him to just his goofiness OR treat the goofiness as a complete and total mask with the serious side being the real him, rather than another facet of him..? i don't know. thats how it comes off.

Its nearly the same as the previous design but with slightly shorter pants and a different haircut, I dont think the hairstyle suits him.

Oh thank fuck he has actual clothes, unlike the previous designs, this one strikes a much better balance between complex and simple, I really like the branding on his clothing, he still has his wierd curtain coat, but its much more pleasing to look at because he isnt wearing 20 fuckin hoops.

i havent played cr in months now but obviously i had to check out the new cookie creator. you start out with virtually no options which is not totally shocking but a little inconvenient. i would have liked to give myself an actual food theme like idk vinegar or slushy but you cant really achieve that atp. given devsis' track record i appreciate they have a variety of color options though at the same time it feels kind of unnatural to equate dough color to actual real life human skin color. this like pale skin tone on a gingerbread man looks kinda fucked up sorry 😭

im kinda tempted to just use the tone that most other cookies have but again if we're meant to draw an equivalency it would be like depicting myself with a darker skin tone than i actually have. i hope this doesnt sound like me bitching that they have various tones im not im really glad for that especially since devsisters has a really bad history of racial insensitivity

im kinda surprised they didnt include any "unnatural" dough colors like blue, red, etc.. a lot of people would have enjoyed that. presumably that's something you have to pull feom the gacha if thats even in the game at all. also yeah you dont get all the options from the get-go like a mii maker scenario you have to pull different hairstyles, clothing and shit like that from a gacha. there's only two default hair, shirt and pants options. most of the shit you see in the trailer is gacha or package-exclusive. also the voice options are not very varied

its still a fun feature but yeah they definitely pulled a classic devsis maneuver here
