Did Ashley Judd star in the Big Stone Gap Virginia movie?
Adriana Trigiani is one of Virginia's most cherished authors. She grew up in Big Stone Gap, Virginia, as part of a large Italian family and went on to become a well-known novelist and television writer. Big Stone Gap is a coal mining town in the mountains of Virginia. Ave Maria Mulligan (Ashley Judd) is the 40-year-old spinster who runs her late mean-spirited father's pharmacy. After her mother's death, she gets a letter from her revealing her real Italian biological father. She is known for her role in the movie High Crimes a 2002 American legal thriller film directed by Carl Franklin and starring Ashley Judd and Morgan Freeman, reunited from the 1997 film Kiss the Women. As of 2024, Ashley Judd's net worth is $14 million. This impressive figure comes from her successful acting career and her activism. Just giving you some info. To answer your question. Yes, she did!

Thing I see far too often in TV and movies: in those scenes where a couple is cooking together, they frequently add the garlic first and then the onions.
So, for anyone who doesn’t know, garlic has a much shorter cook time than onions. If you add the garlic first, you will either burn your garlic (which makes it disgustingly bitter) or undercook your onions (which messes up the flavor of whatever you’re trying to make). These are both typically used as flavorings for a larger dish, so screwing this up ruins the whole meal.
Also, half the time they say this they’re making pasta sauce. Do you know how hard it is to make a pasta sauce unsalvageable? It’s really hard, that’s why a basic sauce is such a good recipe for beginners to try out. If you mess up a step, 90% of the time there’s a way to fix it. The other 10% of the time is when you burn unholy amounts of garlic in it.

It’s more of a slice of life documentary than a story.
Gomorrah (Italian: Gomorra) is a 2008 Italian crime film directed by Matteo Garrone, based on the non-fiction book of the same name by Roberto Saviano, who also collaborated in the screenplay.

CUE "DÜSSELDORF MONSTER" BY CHURCH OF MISERY FOR THIS ONE -- KEEP '30s GERMAN CINEMA BRUTAL.
PIC INFO: Resolution at 1280x1832 -- Spotlight on an Italian movie poster for the 1960 re-release of the groundbreaking and crirtically-acclaimed crime thriller "M" (1931), (renamed "The Monster of Düsseldorf), co-written & directed by Fritz Lang. Artwork by Niso "Kremos" Ramponi.
FILM/POSTER OVERVIEW: "Inspired by the crimes of a real-life murderer at large in Düsseldorf, Peter Kürten, German director Fritz Lang created yet another classic that ventured outside the normal bounds of early filmmaking, and laid the foundations for a whole new genre in the process. Peter Lorre gave the performance of a lifetime as child killer Hans Beckert, a part specifically written for the actor by Lang himself.
Despite it being his first ever starring role, Lorre's bone chilling performance disturbed audiences and enthralled critics, gaining international praise and the attention of Hollywood. Lang considered this picture his greatest work, a well-earned distinction considering its instrumental influence on the burgeoning film noir genre."
