Unfortunately, things aren't the best right now. But they could also be worse, I guess? My former stepdad is out of the hospital! So the sepsis didn't kill him, thank god! But now my aunt is in the hospital with blood clots in her lungs so, uh, that relief was kind of short-lived.

I'm also back to working full-time (because of stupid bureaucracy) despite not actually having recovered from my burnout, so that's also a bit of a struggle. But they have sent me to a therapist now, so there's that? Not on a permanent basis but as a "we don't really know what else to do but try this I guess?" and I was immediately reminded of how difficult a patient I am to every therapist I've run into — this one being no exception.

They're always telling me that I seem so well-adjusted and calm and insightful and have all the tools to handle my mental health and so they don't know what they can do to help me. But, like, my guy — if I can barely function despite all these things, there's obviously something wrong. And it's your job to figure that out, not mine.

So we'll see how that goes, I guess? He's not a bad therapist by any means, I'm just a trickier patient than most because I know the tricks and strategies and use them in all the right ways, but I'm Still Not Okay. And that just throws them for a loop. They quickly run out of ideas when working with me.

And, because of all this stress, all I want to do is read. I've been reading so many fanfics these past couple of months. But, unfortunately, not written anything myself. For literal months. It's not writer's block so much as an instinctive reluctance towards anything that isn't reading (so drawing has fallen to the wayside as well). But I'm trying to find ways around that since I do miss writing. And I have so many projects to finish.

So yeah. Life isn't great right now with so much happening and my thoughts and feelings being all over the place, but I'm trying to straighten things out, slowly but surely. But it's probably going to take a while before I'm back to anything even remotely resembling normalcy. Still — I'm trying.

Thank you so much for reminding me that there are people out there who care about me. I wouldn't say that I've forgotten, but a reminder is always nice. So thank you, truly.

I think the titans crossovers were technically written before post-crisis Jason was introduced so a lot of people don’t count them as canon for post-crisis Jason. But I think a lot of the things in them work with post-crisis Jason (I.e Donna, being with Roy when he found out about Lian, Dick promising to cover with Bruce for him (which echoes the phone call promise in 416) so they’re part of my personal canon

So again, the continuity is complicated so my grasp on this is insecure, but I'm pretty sure there are some stories where it went like this:

-precrisis stories were written

-crisis on infinity earth=> all of those stories either explicitly retconned or assumed to be retconned

- in post-crisis canon, some elements from some of those stories, which don't clash too much with post-crisis, were mentioned in post-crisis canon by writers, bringing the originally pre-crisis story back into post-crisis continuity. On top of my head, the jason stories I can think of that had this happen were blue devil #16 (with eddie and jason as cute penpals), legends (with jason standing protectively before Wonderwoman with his leg in a cast like buddy what do you think you're gonna achieve that's so cute 😭), the one superman issue where jaybin saves superman and gets his autograph, some detective comics issues and the titans crossover. (This is how I get to 30ish issues btw, post-crisis jason really appeared in very few issues). Again, I'm not super confident with those but man, those continuities are hard to keep track on! 😭 Personally I love those stories and include them in my personal hcs no matter one but yeah I do believe they fit in post-crisis canon afaik.

-NC Governor Candidate Mark Robinson's online posts were found, including some VERY graphic descriptions (like seriously, do not read if you're not 18) of him cheating on his wife, calling himself a black Nazi, and expressing support for reinstituting slavery. His email address was also found on Ashley Madison

-Robert F Kennedy Jr was revealed to be cheating on his wife with a reporter (and that isn't even the weirdest thing since federal law enforcement opened an investigation into him allegedly cutting off the head of a whale and taking it home with him less than 24 hours ago)

-GOP Senate candidate who is the CEO of a bank has been found accepting millions of dollars from what seem to allegedly be Mexican drug cartels.

-Finally, probably the biggest bombshell, according to multiple eyewitness testimonies within sealed sworn affadavits, Congressman Matt Gaetz allegedly invited a 17-year-old girl to a drug-fueld sex party

And we haven't even hit October, folks. Again, these are all still breaking news stories, so things are subject to change, but oh man oh man.
