Under normal circumstances this is only limited to the occasional leg or arm twitch, however, this has turned to full movements ever since she reported her night terrors and visions. Second: Something that she and my recent creations share is a loss of sense when we're apart for an extended period of time. Like the animals, Yuuki increases her physical means of affection when we reunite in the forms of embraces or touches. It was strange at first, but.. I've come to enjoy it. Third: She is incredibly obedient. Much like a dog that has been trained, Yuuki will do most of what I ask. This does not stem from training, but rather a need to impress. One thing I've noticed is that this trait is not limited to me alone. Fourth: This has proven difficult to put into words, but her eyes light up in a unique way when she's excited. More research is required on this point."

"There is another final point, but I'd rather not speak it in such company. Put simply, when Yuuki is a certain kind of 'excited' she will prefer to pant and mutter instead of making... other sounds. While not equating directly to animal behavior, I can't help but be reminded of one.

Do you ever have that feeling where when somebody who loves you hugs you and there's this roiling pit in your stomach because you love them, or you want to love them but you know they've hurt you and they don't know it but you can't tell them or you'll lose them and you feel a strangling sense of guilt and sadness? and normally hugs make you feel loved and safe and protected but now you just feel lost and vulnerable but not necessarily the good kind of vulnerable?

trigger warning: suicide as it relates to episode three of the last of us

i've been debating making this post but it's been really bothering me. while i loved that episode and i am someone who fully believes in the autonomy of death, the manner in which bill and frank choose to die is highly fictionalized in the show. while the method of pills and alcohol is a prevalent one, it is not peaceful. overdoses vary in severity and effectiveness depending on what is used, but the majority are slow and painful. you can read more about them here. but i can attest personally that the way it was depicted was very sanitized. there would more likely be a lot of vomiting, painful spasms, difficulty breathing, and more.

i do not believe the show romanticized suicide itself (particularly due to the circumstances) but it's important to distinguish that in real life, an overdose like that would not be peaceful. please stay safe out there.
