Am I the only one worried that having a fat Robotnik, while certainly more accurate to the games and something Jim Carrey wanted to do, is going to lead to a bunch of uncomfortable fat jokes in the movie? I hope the writers know better than to resort to that, but...

Yeah...not gonna lie, that part made me worry.

Robotnik becoming depressed and gaining weight makes perfect chance (how else can you really justify the change?), and I'm sure characters will aknowledge it, I just hope it doesn't become a running joke or anything like that.

Because for a character who's literally named after his shape, Eggman is rarely subject to fat jokes. We'll see, I'm sure it'll be well handled.

So, I was listening to "You'll Be Alright, Kid" (it got stuck in my head) and obviously this song fits a lot of characters. I was relating it to Will, and then it struck me - it fits Aru really well. Here are the lyrics (well, some anyway) :

This line would be a reference to her dad, and possibly to the amount of friends she's had an lost.

You don't know it now, but there's still more to lose.

These lines are all direct references to Kara. "Walls will stop caving" "Heart's gonna break" and "more to lose" are talking about the first betrayal, when the weapons shatter (and there's more to that last line). Aru lost a piece of herself and those lines seem to correspond to that. The "over and over" and "friends move away" would refer to Kara losing her memories. Especially friends move away was obvious, but "over and over" references how it's not the first time she lost Kara.

You're not to blame, so don't blame yourself

This one is about Aru's tendency to blame stuff on herself - which yes, happens all the time. In NOI she blames herself for her and mini "failing" their tests to retrieve their godly weapons.

I think these are about Aiden? The first line is her dying on the inside when she thinks Aiden doesn't like her in NOI, and others specifically pertain to the mess around the prophecy and what Brynne knows that she doesn't about Aiden.

Wonder when the walls will stop caving

This is a decent reference to the fact that things keep going wrong. In EoT, Mini leaves her. In CoG (I should really re-read the books), their weapons shatter. They, and more specifically Aru, can't catch a break.

Gonna feel like no one ever understands you

I think this is a good reference to NOI, when Aru is having complicated feelings about what to do with the nectar. Plus, it aligns with how Aru thinks her sisters are eventually going to turn on her.
