Michael Keaton has had quite the seven year stretch.

Even longer if you go back to Birdman.

It is fitting that the last two years he’s replayed his signature roles, a year ago with Batman and now we get the return of the Ghost with the Most.

36 Years removed from her previous encounter Lydia Deetz has used her paranormal connections to make a career. Alienating her daughter Astrid and losing her former husband. It was finding out about her father’s unexpected (and visually creative in hindsight) death that would send her back home.

As Lydia, Astrid, her stepmother Delia and her producer boyfriend Rory convene for a funeral the past begins to resurface.

Meanwhile Beetlejuice, has his hands full with the vengeful spirit of his ex and a former actor turned detective who wants to bring him down.

When Astrid seeks companionship with a mysterious boy Lydia has to uncover the ghosts of her past along with Alec Baldwin infamous, miniature and say a certain name thrice once more.

Tim Burton rediscovers his form and visual identity with this ingenious film. And even better feeling knowing that Winona Ryder and Catherine O’Hara have never lost their touch from earlier.

Even Jenna Ortega, who can’t shake the stigma of looking like Wednesday Addams hold her own here with the bulk of the plot riding on her and Winona Ryder really being cut from the same cloth.

Once more, thanks to Michael Keaton the juice was loose and we were made all the better.

SUM 22: 36 years removed from the original charming classic, Michael Keaton in just a little more screen time than in the original proves he can still be just as creepy.

We’ve got a grand total of three fics, two of which are mine, and the other is an author who I’ve not seen trace of in a while. I’m writing the fourth and will continue but uh, did anyone ever watch a K-Drama called From Now On, Showtime?

Like, did we just never get a fandom? Please. I’m on my hands and knees. Look at my state right now lmao. I’m fixating again on K-Dramas and seemingly this series has all but two people in its fandom.

I will still yap about it but I’m curious.
