Not more than half the staff (including myself) missing the work Christmas party because they didn’t want to pay a fee to be allowed to wear jeans to work only on Fridays 💀💀

Fee for dinner and a Christmas lights hayride was $60 if I had gone to the work party… BUT, If I just make a reservation and show up to the damn place I can get both for half of that price. All this hassle because I don’t want to pay to be allowed to wear a certain clothing I rarely wear anyway. How teachers are treated and valued by their own supervisors in America in 2024.

Anyway here’s the dress I had bought for it BEFORE I found out I was going to have to pay to attend. Me post losing 15 lbs (7kg) since September.

Thank you for reblogging her! She’s so disappointing! I’m a swiftie, who’s very close to not being one anymore, who’s sent her an ask addressing her behavior before, and she never answered it. I was also very civil and not rude at all. I have a best friend who is now ex swiftie and this is one of the reasons she left. It’s such a toxic fandom.

All fandoms are toxic (TRUST ME) but being a hypocrite about the things you claim to value morally is so annoying. That’s her main problem. Hypocrisy. Every fandom has that group of people, and I fear every celebrity has those fans, but some have that shit more than others. Like Taylor. I’d be DEVASTATED if my fans were known for bigotry.

You acknowledge it’s toxic, and you’ve expressed that you don’t like it. No reason to keep associating with something you don’t agree with.

But don’t stop whatever makes you happy. I’ve seen people say her music helped them through things. Do I personally understand her music, no, but I understand music being there for you. I mean, my blog is “Count me Out” themed for a reason😄 so if her music was that to you, then don’t let nobody stop that, but if you need to leave a fandom itself for mental health reasons
