Worm Arc 14 thoughts from 14.8 through the end:
Gonna get a little bit gay up in here pretty soon. But first, some other stuff.
Pretty much jump right into "Oh shit everything is fucked" with the bio-weapon just spreading everywhere right away.
Skitter's focus on Tattletale specifically when trying to get them to higher ground was top level Chatterbug/Smugbug content. Like sure Sundancer and Trickster too, she wanted to save them. But when Bentley wasn't climbing fast enough what she said to herself in worry was "Tattletale."
Fucking god. Tattletale telling Skitter to fly to the higher building and use bugs so Trickster could teleport them and they'd follow? But fully knowing it wouldn't work and just trying to get Skitter to safety?
"It doesn’t look like her plan will work out. Tell her I’m sorry." - I WAS FUCKING BAWLING
I had figured that Bonesaw's contingency wasn't just a "everyone dies right now" virus or whatever. It would need to be artistic. And it would need to be a punishment to the local capes, both hero and villain. And the way to punish them would be to "take the city from them". "Make them watch it destroy itself." "Make them help".
I feel like what she did covered that general outline with a heavier focus on taking everything away from the capes. But still, god damn Bonesaw. Absolutely fucking terrifying. Super powered face blindness. At the base at least. Don't know who anyone is. Damn.
SKITTER IT'S NOT GAY YET THAT ISN'T TATTLETALE IT'S BONESAW! GAY WILL COME LATER!
If Jack put's his slimy fucking hands on my daughter again I will personally remove them.
The "Don't swear!" from Bonesaw while pretending to be Tattletale was fun. I managed to hit on it before that, but it was a good confirmation.
Fucking Jack and his "You’re versatile" after seeing Skitter make decoys while prepping to tie someone up with spiders. FUCK OFF WITH YOUR DREAMS YOU DICK. YOU CAN'T HAVE HER.
Instantly confirmed when Skitter flat refused to shoot someone despite Jack and Bonesaw telling her to. My daughter might not be perfect but she's not going to be one of you!
Coil fucked up a bit on the phone. He wasn't dealing with the pathogen so he should have done better. Even just asking everyone there to say something so he could listen to the voices. He would have known right away it wasn't Tattletale and Grue. Patching them through to Cherish that easily was a mistake. He really doesn't do as much as he could be. Like ya he's evil but that doesn't mean I'm not disappointed when he isn't using his full potential.
Cherish very fucked up when she thought letting Jack and Bonesaw know where she was would be good for her. Hope she likes her eternal torment at the bottom of the ocean. (Ok there's a chance she'll get pulled out in the future I guess.)
I'll admit, when Amy left with Victoria earlier I wasn't expecting to see them again so soon.
"Panacea is the healer, top floor, Jack is the slasher, the blond girl is the chemist-tinker." I don't know why, since it doesn't rhyme or anything, but I got very "The pellet with the poison's in the flagon with the dragon; the vessel with the pestle has the brew that is true" vibes from this.
Jack trying to convince Amy by talking about how many of her ancestors were successful by being cruel and Taylor just internally going "How many were successful because they cooperated?" Love my daughter.
Victoria is still very much . . . not dead.
HOLY SHIT AMY YOU PUT YOUR SISTER IN A PERSONALIZED FLESH COFFIN MADE FROM CATS AND DOGS?
Seriously. Personalized. It has her face on the outside made out of bone. What the actual fuck Amy?
Proud of my daughter for shooting Jack, even if it didn't work.
It's probably fine that Skitter got Amy to break her brain rule again. I mean like it's good. It was the only way to fix the pathogen. It saved herself and the city. That is all good. Just . . . there might also be some long term negative outcomes. Probably fine though.
Getting gets cured and goes off to cure the city be gay.
"I leaned forward and planted a quick kiss on her lips." - EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!
GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!
WOLFSPIDER WOLFSPIDER WOLFSPIDER!
SO FUCKING GAY I LOST MY FUCKING MIND WHEN IT HAPPENED
"'You couldn’t have waited until after you’d cured me before you put the bugs on your face?' Tattletale asked. She was smiling as she asked it." - ALSO EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!
SO GAY. DOUBLE GAY. EXTRA GAY. ALL THE GAY!
CHATTERBUGCHATTERBUGCHATTERBUG (SMUGBUG IS FINE TOO)!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!
GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Also the level of effort the girls went through after that trying to figure out how to cure Grue and Regent without kissing? Fucking amazing. Kissing was only ok for these three. Obviously.
GAAAAAAY
Gay (bug)horse girl gay (bug)horse girl gay (bug)horse girl
And the remainder of the Nine got away. Which is pretty fucking bad I guess. What with the whole "end of the world" and all that. I get that story point is the *actual* big end of the arc. But it's been overshadowed. By the gays.
Did I mention things being gay? I just want to make sure. Cause they were. Gay that is.
Interlude 1 - Sierra is amazing. She is exactly who Skitter needs to be running things while she's away. Charlotte is also amazing and I think worships the ground Skitter walks on. My daughter is, as always, absolutely terrifying when described from anyone else's PoV. She only gets more so every time. She just uses bug speak without even realizing now. Amazing. I love her. Atlas is helping and I'm so proud of him. He even got to take the gun. I hope he gets to keep it.
Interlude 2 (thought about making this it's own post but I'll just keep it really simple) - God dammit all three of the big 3 are Cauldron created? Ugh. Legend you appear to be trying to do the right thing but you sure as shit aren't paying much attention are you? Holy shit like, you believed so much of what the Doctor has been saying for years? God damn bud. How could you look at Cauldron and assume they *aren't* doing human experimentation? Especially since you know they have done it in the past! Like god damn man! At least you do kind of acknowledge that maybe you were purposefully ignoring the signs cause you wanted to be ignorant. Maybe there is a little bit of hope for you. Hell of a lore dump interlude though. Gives me lots to think about. Also I'd absolutely listen to The Number Man talk about spreadsheets all day long.
GAY

"You have to shoot them in the head, or they always come back."
Ethan Landry x f!reader (not specified I think tho)
summary You knew you had to do this, he was a killer. You had to end this when you had the chance. But standing here with a gun to your boyfriend's head - no matter what he's done - you couldn't bring yourself to do it.
word count 1,200
warnings swearing, talk of killing someone, spoilers for scream 6, VERY immoral & unrealistic but it's fanfiction soo
a/n I'm not that happy with this so it's kinda a WIP. But just… posted. If this does get some notes; thank you for reading! I promise my other stuff is better.

You had thought out all kinds of possible outcomes to the plan of waiting out Ghostface at the shrine of the two students (whose names you'd already forgotten). However, not once had you considered having to execute your boyfriend.
Beneath you lay Ethan, blood pooling from his mouth and brown puppy eyes watery and bloodshot.
Sam and Tara were fighting the only other remaining person behind the recent murders, Detective Bailey.
It had all happened too fast; Sam hit Ethan in the head with a brick before she and Tara tried making an escape through the emergency exit. In the chaos of the past moments you'd simply stood to the side, shocked that the boy you loved and had spent your past months with was the one behind the mask.
A whimper of your name pulls you out of your thoughts and your eyes clear, focusing on the curly haired boy beneath you.
There were tears running down his cheeks, chin quivering and gaze pleading, "Please… don't do this."
You shake your head to try and keep the empathy from overpowering your rationality. "Ethan, I have to…You have to shoot them in the head, or they always come back," you recall with a shaking voice.
You didn't want to do this. You wanted to go home and cuddle with your boyfriend who wasn't a killer. He shakes his head and winces, weakly clutching a hand to your pants. Your knees are shaky so you end up sinking to kneel next to his heaving chest, his hand falling to your thigh instead.
The gun in your hand is still aimed in his direction, safety off.
"Come on, baby, please," he begs, trying to look into your eyes but you avoid his gaze and look to the blood stained floor. "Ethan, you killed people I can't-," a sob leaves your mouth and you clutch your free hand over it to stop your crying.
He sobs as well and shakes his head as well as he can, "No, no, no..! I didn't want to. I didn't wanna do this. Believe me!" He cries and your heart breaks a little more. Just from the way Bailey talked earlier and totally dismissed Ethan you had a good guess at their relationship and how much Ethan had wanted to do what he's done.
You purse your lips and sniff, looking back at him. "Explain. Why did you do it then?" He breathes raggedly but he'd be able to survive - if you let him. He swallows and tries calming his breathing, hand still on your thigh.
"He- Dad made me. I just wanted him to be proud of me. Like he was always proud of… Richie," he admits, the name of his deceased brother a painful whisper. You pull your eyebrows together in confusion and wait for him to continue. His face is scrunched up - whether from the physical pain he was feeling or from the memories he was recounting.
"He told me if I wanted to be as good as Richie I had to do what he said. Follow the plan." He slowly looks at you again, pausing for a few seconds. He reaches out with his blood coated hand and clings to yours, fingers closing around your pinky and ring finger.
He felt relief and a sliver of hope fill his chest when you let him hold your hand, his thumb resting on the promise ring on your ring finger he had gotten you not too long ago.
He averts his eyes again and continues explaining, though his voice seems to get weaker by the minute. "I did everything but… killing. Quinn did that. We would switch after I chased them somewhere she could.. finish it." He winces again.
"I didn't kill anyone except Anika. And that was an accident. I didn't want to make her fall, I just wanted her to struggle! I didn't want to kill her, you have to believe me! I didn't want to," he whimpers and tears start running down his cheeks again.
You sigh and let your head fall, chin touching your chest. He deserved to pass away here, with the rest of his family.
But you love him. And no matter how many times you recall him and what he did while wearing the mask you can't bring yourself to pull the trigger.
You put the safety back on the gun and push it far enough away from you. "I should kill you," you remind him with a quiet voice. He nods and fully turns his head to look at you. He calls your name but you don't want to look up; you know you would fold at the sight of his brown eyes.
He says your name again, almost pleading now. It makes your heart ache so you look up and into his eyes. He grunts painfully as he scoots back and sits up against a display case, when he's sat up straight he reaches out and puts his hand on your cheek. His palm is cold and shaky, blood making his grip slippery.
"I love you. You made me feel like I could-" he chokes and coughs, spitting some blood to the side before he keeps talking, "-like I could be enough by just… being myself. I fell for you. So hard."
You're looking into each other's eyes when he finishes his confession, "I can't live without you. I don't want to. So please tell me you won't leave me after this."
You grimace. He may have done way less than all of you originally thought but he still ended the life of Mindy's girlfriend and one of your closest friends. You knew he felt guilty. You could see the regret and pain from knowing he had caused her fall.
But none of that cancels out that he did it.
"I love you. And… maybe I can forgive you someday. But, Ethan… Even if the others also forgive you, Mindy never will. And she has every right not to."
He nods and you both pretend not to have heard his slight whimper at your first sentence. "I need you to forgive me. I can't keep going without you…" he says again and your chest throbs. You're torn between what you want and what you should want and do.
Noone in their right mind would forgive him or even let him live. But you were in love and too empathetic for your own good. Sighing defeatedly you lean into his palm and look into his eyes, "You have one chance to make it up to me. To everyone. If they accept you is up to them, not me."
He sighs out in relief, another tear escaping him as he mumbles 'thank you's under his breath.

I WISH YOU WOULD (P.WB)
SUMMARY . . . there's so much more he could've done, so much he could've said. he hates what a stupid mistake he made, and how ashamed he was. what does scrutiny matter if he couldn't even get his feelings out in the first place?
PAIRING . . . park wonbin x male!reader
GENRE . . . angst
WARNINGS . . . internalized homophobia, homophobia in general
WORD COUNT . . . 0.9k
NOTES . . . HAPPY FRIDAY!!! 1989 tv comes out today and i wish you would has always been my favorite song on 1989 so um this is what spawned because of it 👍 i'll be back in half an hour im gonna go watch that scary robot movie lol‼️
. . . lomls @partiallyderived and @jinkiseason asked to be tagged (they wanna make me cry so bad thats so crazy 🤣) (im listening to cherry bomb)
"i love you".
if wonbin could go back, trust he would.
there's something disappointing about falling in love with your fellow trainee, your fellow trainee who is also your best friend, your fellow trainee who is also a boy. he wishes he could rewrite time and not convince his mom to change his class at school, because then he would never have met him.
and now that sounds downright ridiculous, it can't possibly be that bad can it? i mean— falling in love with your best friend as a whole is an entire kind of situation that happens in books and usually has a happy ending. what's wrong with his best friend?
nothing, there's nothing wrong with him.
it's wonbin that's wrong.
having conflicting feelings is normal, obviously, everyone experiences it when they have a crush, but wonbin didn't want to have feelings for his best friend, wonbin didn't want to have a crush on a boy.
y/n was probably one of the best people he's ever met. he's kind, and understanding, and beautiful, and humorous and pretty much attractive to anyone with two pairs of eyes, he's the perfect boyfriend material, he's just perfect.
and maybe that's what felt so wrong about having feelings for his best friend, intimidation.
well, wonbin liked to lie to himself.
yeah, that's the reason your afraid of having feelings for your best friend, your "intimidated" by his perfection, not because your scared of what others would think, other trainees, management, your parents, the world, that's not the reason your afraid of having feelings for him.
wonbin had never really spent a lot of time thinking about it, and he hates how he can practically hear the responses from people the moment he realizes his feelings for y/n.
they're staring at him like he's disgusting.
and what's worse than having people judge you? judge you for something you yourself can't control?
it's what keeps him up at night, those worries used to be planted at the back of his mind, because how would it even become something of relevance in his life? it'd never actually become real.
and maybe he's wrong for thinking such a way; after all, he can't just let others dictate who he loves or doesn't love.
but it's the thoughts in his mind slowly eating away at him that make him feel like everything's spiraling out of control. he can't date y/n, in a company like sm, in a country like korea, where if someone ever saw them together he'd be scrutinized and black-listed from the idol industry despite how hard he's worked?
it all makes him feel sick to his stomach.
how was he even supposed to tell y/n? he knew y/n wasn't homophobic but.. then there's the fear of rejection, he can't even imagine the kind of look y/n would give him if he found out. not out of disgust, but out of surprise, shock.
somehow, his mind thinks of every bad possibility as an outcome.
and just staring at y/n, sweet beautiful y/n who has no idea what he's fighting in his head, makes him fear confessing even more.
the two of them are already what i guess you'd dub "over affectionate". they do a lot of couple-y things like have matching rings, cook for each other, help run errands together, cuddle, steal each other's sweaters, cling onto each other like they were lifelines.
if everything stayed like that, wonbin would be just fine.
but of course, when has life ever been nice to him?
wonbin can't really stare at y/n without feeling like he wants to break down into tears and sob, they could be having the best time ever and he'll still have this overwhelming wave of sadness wash over him when he remembers his feelings.
it disappoints him in a way that it shouldn't..
and y/n clearly picks up on his sudden change. his flushed cheeks, mutters, and the way he seems to enjoy avoiding eye contact with him these days.
is his unusual clinginess noticeable?
wonbin usually isn't self conscious about things that like, but he guesses falling in love with your best friend makes you begin seeing things in a whole different light. he can't help but notice the uncomfortable shift in the air between him and y/n.
nothing has even been said.. so why is his anxiety through the roof?
wonbin finally snaps out of whatever dream he was having when he feels nails dig into his shoulder, squeeze them like his life depends on it. that's all it takes for wonbin to flinch, and he hates the way his reaction is so immediate, it's just more obvious that way.
y/n blinks, startled by the way he suddenly flinches. "you okay?" he inquires, and wonbin wants to kiss him so bad it infuriates him.
he shouldn't want to kiss him.
he feels like he's being pinched, and somehow he forces out a response; "yeah i'm just tired".
y/n doesn't buy his lie, it's evident in the way he stares at him for a specifically long time. "you should be fine".
wonbin pauses. "what?"
"your gonna debut, i wouldn't worry about it" y/n mutters, and he brings his knees to his chest as he rocks back and forth.
wonbin stares, hopefully not for too long, because then he'd just be looking too obvious and then y/n would ask more questions.
he really wants to punch himself at the moment.
he shouldn't feel so disgusted about being in love with y/n.
but he does.

The Journey of a Thousand Miles 1/2
Eddie thought he'd be able to find a silver lining, but he can't.
How can there be a silver lining when the outcome is he's alone?
Eddie is used to being alone. But alone has never felt like this. He feels hollow.
Empty.
Eddie crawled into bottle after bottle trying to make sense of it all. He thinks he understands the logic of Venom sacrificing himself and leaving Eddie behind, even though they swore they would be the lethal protector together.
They were supposed to walk into the abyss hand in hand.
But Venom gave Eddie a gift. Eddie can have a normal life now without Venom. All those things V had hinted at during their trip through the desert: family, kids, pets, Broadway musicals. Eddie thought Venom had wanted those things with him, but V set him free to find them with someone else.
A human.
That was a good thing, right?
It meant V loved him. Loved Eddie more than himself, his own happiness.
They had set out to become the lethal protector, and they'd done that. They'd saved many people, then the whole planet to boot. That job was over. If his journey through the multiverse proved anything it's that there are more superheroes than him out there doing that job. He didn't need to.
Like many of the jobs Eddie has had in the past, it lasted about a year. So, in reality, he's pretty much on par.
Venom had promised to be with Eddie till the end.
This isn't the ending Eddie wanted.
That first week in New York - standing on the dock, gazing across the water at Lady Liberty, ruminating over how much Venom would have loved to see her - he originally decided he wasn't going to mourn his other. He was going to move forward, travel, see the world, get his journalistic chops back, and write things that mattered. A few phone calls later he discovered that nothing about having his record expunged or being given the "thanks of a grateful nation" would help fund his endeavors, but he was going to give it the old college try.
That lasted roughly seven weeks.
Seven weeks of being motivated to change for the better before he started slipping back into old habits. Unfortunately, those habits included running headlong into alleyways when he heard an innocent scream for help, jumping from building to building while in pursuit, and mean-mugging guys who could eat him for breakfast.
One broken arm and a fractured leg later, he realizes moving forward is a facade. He can't do it. He can't live without the voice inside his head, the one he woke up to every morning. Even now, the first thing he does before he opens his eyes is say, "Hey, buddy."
The silence that follows is so immense he feels like he's drowning in it. But this time, no one can save him.
He can't survive without his symbiote.
His other.
With a dry throat and throbbing temples, he stares at a black computer screen and sees his future.
Nothing.
It doesn't matter how far forward he goes, there's nothing for him once he gets there.
He decides to go back to where it all began.
He would take the trip back to San Francisco, backpack cross country, cover all the land he and V did on their way east. Then he'd do some research. Call in every favor he's got. He'd hunt down those 'beings' from the other universes. Venom and those monstrous insect demons couldn't be the only ones to find their way to his Earth. There has to be someone else.
Well, whoever they are, wherever they are, he's going to find them.
Then he'll make them help him find the quickest way possible to join his other, wherever he ended up.
Venom said, "Goodbye for now."
Well.
Time's up.

I'll tell you how it's possibly going to end (because I've seen enough catastrophising and worst case scenario thoughts on here to last me a lifetime)
Dee Bradley Baker teased that the ending is "bittersweet", didn't he? And that the way the epilogue plays out is "affecting and beautiful". That "the emotions that are in play are real, human emotions, not just one of being a family member or a friend, but also of being a father, a father to a daughter."
Bittersweet means not everything is good but not everything is bad either. Which means that the finale doesn't have to end in only tragedy. Yes, there will be hurt, we might lose someone. But the end might actually be full of hope.
And isn't Star Wars all about hope?
They're going to bring it full circle. In episode 2 of season 1 - the very beginning of the show - the Batch visits Cut and Suu and the whole episode is essentially about them teaching Hunter how to be a parent and forcing him to look at his new responsibility from a different angle. They recognize his paternal instincts immediately, they see how he is with Omega and give him a lot of advice, saying things that stay with Hunter for the entirety of the show moving forward and affect his choices and reasoning. Cut is the one who makes Hunter realize that he has to do what's best for the kid. Cut is the one who gives him the idea of leaving the soldier life behind and finding, and I quote, "a remote piece of land on a distant planet." Like Pabu! Suu warns him that kids have a tendency to find trouble. They tell him he has no idea what he's in for but they also show him how to do it right.
Hunter's only priority since then has been keeping Omega safe and away from the war, away from the Empire, settling down and giving her the normal life she deserves. A thought instilled in him by Cut, who did the exact same thing - left the war behind, settled down and put his family first. It became Hunter's sole purpose, his main character arc, becoming a father and embracing the role is pretty much all he is about.
The finale will remind us of that.
Now, we won't avoid tragedy. That's granted at this point. There will be death, there will heartbreak. Nothing will ever be the same again. But every end is a new beginning.
Maybe we'll lose Crosshair, Maybe we'll lose Wrecker. Maybe both, hopefully neither. But no matter the final outcome, the very end is going to be about Hunter and Omega. The hunt for her will be over, the target on her back might be gone but they can't go back to Pabu, they won't risk it. So Rex and Echo track down Cut. Find him on a remote piece of land on distant planet, just like he said. And they arrange everything.
I can see them landing. Hunter stepping out in civil clothes, with a bag over his shoulder. He shakes hands with Cut, Omega runs to hug the kids. The atmosphere is sad and melancholic but everyone knows it's for the best.
Maybe they move to a house next door, maybe they live nearby. Hunter puts Omega to bed, lets Batcher lay down at her feet. He sits by her side until she's asleep and then steps out onto the porch where Cut is already waiting. They share a drink and a conversation, calling back to everything they've been talking about in 1x02 and how Hunter's view of things has changed since then. Now he understands his role in Omega's life. Understands the sacrifices he had to make and knows with full certainty he would make them again.
We haven't seen or heard about Cut since his episode, so a whole show ago. To bring him back in the finale and tie it all together? End it like that, in a full circle moment? It would be perfect.
And it fits to what Dee was saying, because this kind of ending is affecting, is beautiful, and most of all, it is bittersweet. Because at last Hunter gets his wish. He gets to raise Omega away from the war, give her a normal life and a happy childhood - but at the cost of losing everything else.
This might just be wishful thinking but I really hope this is where we're headed.

Silent Grace| Chapter xii: who’s the boss?
Ship: Min Yoongi x Fem reader
au/genre: Mafia!au
rating: M
wc: 3.2k
Chapter warnings: Lots of arguing. Jungkook called Joon a pussy. MAJOR FIGHT. (Jungkook and Namjoon)
summary: The biggest bombshell has been dropped on Yoongi. He just learned that his best friend will now the run family that was promised to him, and all the while, shit is hitting the fan. Part one of two (or three) for the finale
tagss: @shadowyjellyfishfest @baechugff @maunosorioh @shelylamc @princess-sunshyn @scuzmunkie @wanceu @coldcoffee2121 @maunosorioh @massivelyfullenthusiast @bangtan-famiglia-net
"As if that's ever going to happen." Yoongi snapped back before taking a look at your peaceful state.
He had to protect this. No matter what.
He hated to admit that it would be harder for him, especially since he had no idea where he stood in this "family" of his.
The myriad of events unfolding simultaneously overwhelmed Yoongi. His younger brother had returned, and Namjoon had assumed the role of the new boss. A wave of unease washed over Yoongi, who wished the previous night had been a mere dream. The sight of Seokjin standing before him shattered that hope.
It wasn't.
"What could he possibly want her there for?" Yoongi asked running his fingertips across your skin gently.
"All he told the guys out front was he wanted all of us there because he wanted to talk about certain thing-hell if I fucking know. I haven't talked to the bastard. Jungkook heard it from the other guards. " Seokjin scoffed rolling his eyes before sitting in the chair off to the side of the room, slouching back. Yoongi chuckled.
"Well, he can lose the idea of Y/n going. He'll be fucking lucky if I even show up" Yoongi mumbled.
"It's up to you. Jungkook and I aren't moving until you say." Seokjin said.
Yoongi hummed and lay back once again before looking up at the ceiling.
"I guess we can show our face. But as far as my blossom going, he can shove that idea up his ass."
~~~~~~~
"I won't be staying long. I'll meet you there okay? Just stay close to the guys okay?" Yoongi said kissing your head as he got out of the car along with Jungkook and Seokjin. You pouted before nodding.
"You promise that you'll come right after you get done? I'm really nervous, things just feel...out of place now." You asked looking at Yoongi as he turned back to you after closing the door.
"Of course, I will blossom. I will be right there. You have nothing to be nervous about" he said leaning into the car window and kissing your lips. "Nothing is going to happen to you or us. No matter the outcome, we will be just as strong as we started. Okay? I love you."
"I love you too. See you soon" You nodded as Yoongi watched the car drive off.
"Are you ready, hyung?" Jungkook asked.
"Yeah. Ready to fucking leave" Yoongi said rolling his eyes as he walked in with Seokjin and Jungkook following closely behind.
Upon Yoongi's entrance, an eerie silence pervaded the room. Most of the occupants stared intently at him, while others averted their gaze, unsure of how to act. Confusion reigned, mirroring Yoongi's bewilderment. Nearly everyone held Yoongi in high regard, except for a select few who still blindly followed his father. Namjoon, unfortunately, was one of them.
Namjoon was sitting at the other end of the table usually where he sat while his father sat on the other end. Sure enough, his father was right there smirking, aiming to get under Yoongi's skin.
Yoongi looked at his father and then back at Namjoon with pure hatred. While everyone decided to sit, Yoongi and the men he came with decided to stand. Namjoon sighed softly.
"Why don't you sit?" Namjoon started, "It's going to be a long one"
"Not for us. We don't plan on staying long." Yoongi said coldly.
Jungkook didn't even spare a second look to Namjoon while Seokjin couldn't even give him a first.
Namjoon didn't know what hurt more.
His best friends turning against him or the fact that he really seems to hurt Yoongi.
"Where's Y/n?" Namjoon asked.
"Why?" Yoongi asked barely letting Namjoon get the rest of his sentence out.
"Because I want to discuss things with her-"
"You don't need to discuss shit with her. She's none of your concern or your master's, " Yoongi said coldly as he referred to Min. "Anything you need to say to her you can say it to me."
"I am your father, Yoongi. Do not disrespect me" Min spat.
Yoongi ignored Min completely.
"I have things to do. Can we please get this over with?" Seokjin said.
"I agree. This could have been a text" Jungkook mumbled.
Namjoon sighed once again. He knew this was going to be hard but he didn't think they would treat him like this.
But he could tell that what he had to say next,
Would send him to an early grave.
Before assuming complete control, "you and Y/n must produce a child. Your father and I have discussed this matter. Until you have your first child, I am willing to share the family's operations ownership 50/50 with you. Subsequently, you will receive the entire family in exchange for designating your first child as the heir." Namjoon's words fell from his lips with confidence but his eyes said everything but.
The announcement left the room in stunned silence.
A wave of anger washed over Yoongi's face, making it impossible for him to conceal his emotions. He couldn't believe the words that were spilling from the mouth of his once-closest friend. Their friendship, which was already teetering on the edge of a cliff, was now on the verge of complete collapse.
Yoongi was convinced that his father was behind this scheme. "You seriously think I would give you my firstborn child, or any of my children for that matter, to you and that bastard? Are you out of your mind?" Yoongi snarled. "That would never happen, not even if it cost me my life."
Before Namjoon could respond, Yoongi cut him off, expressing his frustration and disbelief. He questioned why he was even bothering to listen to Namjoon's words. It had become clear that Namjoon was the son his father had always desired, and Yoongi was ready to let go of this dysfunctional family. Yoongi had sufficient financial resources to sustain himself, and he was resolute in severing all ties with them.
"I don't even know why I am here trying to listen to a word you have to say. Clearly, you are the son my father always wanted. You can have this shitty family. I make enough money to sustain myself and my life. Consider our relationship dead." Yoongi's voice trembled with anger, confusion, and a profound sense of betrayal. He was determined to cut off all connections to his father, including his mother and, most significantly, Namjoon. Their relationship, as far as Yoongi was concerned, was irrevocably over.
Namjoon's heart broke into a million pieces as he watched his best friend, the very one who taught him everything he knew throw away their friendship as if it no longer meant anything to him. It only made things worse when Seokjin and Jungkook followed right behind him like it was nothing.
Like he was nothing.
The ones who agreed with Yoongi followed him with no hesitation while others stayed behind.
Everyone looked to Min to hear what he had to say but he was just as shocked.
He didn't expect his son to give up so easily like that nor did he think that he hurt his son that deeply.
He knew the child thing would piss him off but he didn't think he'd walk away like that.
Min would be an idiot if he were to give everything his father worked for to Namjoon.
Without another word he followed his son out, refusing to take no for an answer.
Min grabbed Yoongi's arm and turned him to finally face him to which Yoongi snatched his arm away.
"What the hell is your problem?" Yoongi yelled but Min snapped back.
"What on earth is going on with you? Why are you acting this way?" Min yelled. "Are you going to throw away everything this family has built? What are you planning to do? Are you going to start your own family? You must understand that even if you want to leave this life, you can't. Do you know that?"
He knew he was the cause of this but he couldn't accept the fact that his son did not fight to keep this.
"ME? ME? I'm giving up everything we've worked for? Father, please tell me you aren't that full of shit that your brain is starting to rot. You gave Namjoon the same position that I'VE been working for since I was fucking 15 and I'M the one giving it all away? I'm tired of your mind games! I'm sick of it. I stepped up after Ji-hoon and Soon-young declared us an fucking enemy. I lost my brothers for you. I don't trust my own fucking mother because of you and now you take one of the few friends I had left for your sick agenda? I refuse to allow you to take anything or ANYONE else from me. Do you realize how hard it is to trust anyone now? I don't have no one in this fucking world that I trusted more than I trusted you and you did THIS SHIT to me." Yoongi started.
"And you have the nerve to act as if you don't know why I do not want anything to do with you or this family?"
Min's hand dropped to his side listening to his oldest release everything he felt. Yoongi didn't care about hurting his feelings.
"You used to be better than this. Or maybe my ignorance of who you were made me think that. I wish I was still ignorant because maybe I wouldn't feel so lost and defeated. All you care about is this fucking family when half of them are waiting for the opportunity to take your ass out. I've been nothing but loyal to you. I looked up to you. You were my hero. I don't even think I could say I love you at this point. So you do what you want. I no longer care. I'm done. Fuck you and fuck Namjoon. Fuck everyone who is in there right now riding along with you. You win."
Yoongi turned his back on his father and climbed into the car, declaring that today would be the last day he would ever talk to his father.
Min's mask was slowly unraveling. He couldn't handle another one of his sons walking away from him. He's done a lot of shit and sadly his sons were always the ones to get the short end of the stick, Yoongi getting it the most since he was the oldest. His face turned red and he was now sweating as he saw Yoongi signal the driver to drive off.
"Yoongi-Yoongi! Son! Please don't leave! Yoongi, I'm sorry! You hear me! I'm sorry!!!!" Min screamed hitting the windows as the car drove off.
As Ji-hoon drove past, he watched his father fall apart and his brother leaves, a smirk etched across his face.
"What's so funny?" inquired the young man on the phone.
"Nothing, father is just finally receiving what he deserves," Ji-hoon replied.
The young man chuckled over the phone. "It's about time. Are you going to meet mom?"
Ji-hoon nodded. "She's shopping with our lovely sister-in-law. I'm planning to pay them a visit."
"What about Yoongi? Isn't he supposed to meet them with Seokjin and Jungkook?" the young man asked.
"Why not have a little family reunion?" Ji-hoon replied with a mischievous grin.
~~~~~~~~
You couldn't even focus on shopping or even answering the simple questions Yoongi's mother would ask. You knew she was trying to pull you out of your troubling thought but there was no use.
Seeing Yoongi that hurt behind his father tore you up inside and you wanted nothing more than to mend the pain as best you knew how.
Yoongi's mother came behind you and rubbed my back softly, "He's going to be okay. Min will right his wrongs and hopefully, this meeting will fix everything." She hugged you tightly as you hugged her back.
"I hope so. It's hard seeing Yoongi hurt like that and I can only imagine how you must feel." You said rubbing her arm softly. She gave you a sad smile.
"I hate it more than anything. The last thing I want to do is choose between my husband and my son again. I just don't know what was going through the mind of Min anymore." She sighed, softly gripping your hand before a rush of warm air came through from the door being opened.
"Blossom, we're leaving," Yoongi said walking over and taking the items from your hands. "This what you wanted?" He asked handing them to Seokjin to pay for before taking your hand away from his mother and heading to the door. Not even acknowledging her.
"Y-Yoongi wait-" You said turning back to his mother who was stunned by her son's actions. She followed behind Yoongi, gripping his arm to turn to her.
As much resentment Yoongi has grown for his mother, he couldn't disrespect her. He couldn't. He stopped but he chose not to look at her. If he did, she'd be able to convince him to forgive his father.
And he would never do that.
"Yoongi...what happened? Are you okay?" She asked holding onto his hand tightly.
"Ask your husband what happened. We're going home now." Yoongi said turning to his mother, leaning down to kiss her left cheek instead of her right like normal. Her eyes widened and she shook her head.
You were so confused by her reaction to the kiss, you were trying to comprehend what was going on.
You knew the meeting hadn't gone well.
"N-no, Yoongi. Don't. Please talk to me" She cried trying her hardest to hold onto his hand but without force he was able to release himself and take your hand once again, leading you to the car. He turned to Jungkook "Make sure she gets home safely okay?"
Jungkook nodded and walked over to Yoongi's mother.
Jungkook was torn by her state. She wasn't her usual self. He knew Min messed up but did he have to take it out on his mother? Maybe that's his innocence talking but he couldn't imagine not talking to his mother just because of his father's actions.
~~~~~~~~
"Why don't you write him off just like your other two sons? Namjoon is ready to take the lead and will deliver anything you ask of him. You don't need to worry about Yoongi anymore. So what if he makes a family of his own? We still own everything here, even the little bit he has. We can-" Min jumped up from his seat and slammed his hands on his desk knocking his 8th glass of whisky on the floor with tears in his eyes. Shutting Kim up immediately
"I will never take from my son's mouth. Yoongi is different. He's a spitting image of me. His temper, me. His looks, me. His fucking mindset, ME. Namjoon is great, perfect even. But Yoongi is the heir to the throne. Not your kid. Unless that was your plan all along, Kim." Min's eyes turned dark as he hovered over Kim and he and Namjoon began to back up.
"N-No. Not at all. I was just thinking-"
'Well quit your fucking thinking. I need my fucking son but unless in that big ass head of yours you have a plan to get him back, I suggest you shut the hell up." Min snapped.
Jungkook walked into Min's office, holding Yoongi's mother as close as he could to him. He was leading her directly to Min per her request. She held onto him like he was Yoongi himself. He sat her in the chair and bowed to her alone before turning on his heels to lead. Joon ran from around the desk to catch up to Jungkook. "WAIT-"
Jungkook Stood in place and turned to face Namjoon.
"What can I do for you?"
"Jungkook...please just hear me out," Namjoon said stepping closer causing Jungkook to laugh.
"Some boss you'll be. If you are going to kiss my ass to get to Yoongi, forget it. I don't trust a single thing that comes out of your mouth." Jungkook spat.
"I could have killed you that day but I didn't-"
"But you didn't cause Yoongi said to. Just like his father told you to screw over Yoongi and Seokjin. You're real good at taking orders not so good at giving them though." Jungkook shrugged.
"You're a thief. To this day, I don't understand why he trusted you." Namjoon said.
"Tell me how you really feel Namjoon? I stole to make my mom happy. I never ratted him out or kissed his ass either. I admitted my wrongs and made it right. I will rather be a thief than a fucking traitor," Jungkook chuckled. "I bet it eats you up that a little ole thief like me can stay loyal to the ones that deserve it. See Yoongi gave me a chance I won't blow it. Yoongi gave you a chance and you blew his father."
Namjoon had it. He could handle this amount of disrespect. Without warning he punched Jungkook directly in the face causing the man to stumble back. He had hoped that would be enough, he didn't want to fight with his friend. But he must have forgotten Jungkook had anger issues he had yet to deal with. Jungkook tackled Namjoon to the floor, getting on top of him and punching him. Over and Over. Left fist then right fist.
"FUCK! Stop!" Min said running to the two boys rolling around on the floor with Kim. Seokjin came right in time to grab Jungkook, pulling him off who was beyond pissed off.
"JUNGKOOK, RELAX. PLEASE" Seokjin said pulling him out of the room and to the car.
"THAT BASTARD IS GOING TO GET IT, FUCKING PUSSY-" Jungkook yelled trying desperately to get out of Seokjin's hold.
"What the fuck is going on?" Yoongi said hearing all the commotion on the phone.
"I don't know. It seems fucking Jungkook and Namjoon got into an altercation." one of the guys that went with Seokjin and Jungkook said. Yoongi was annoyed. It was his fault. Jungkook had been pissed the whole day about the Namjoon situation he shouldn't have sent him.
"Fuck. Just get him home to cool off, we will deal with it later." Yoongi said hanging up the phone.
You looked up at him with your arms crossed. He looked down at you and sighed.
"Baby, you have nothing to worry about. Everything is okay." He said walking over to you and holding you close. Your anxiety began to build once again as you no longer knew what tomorrow would look like. You wrapped your arms around him and held him tight.
"Yoongi...I" You started pulling away softly to look at him. Yoongi looked down at you with red, tired eyes.
He exhausted. Drained. He doesn't need anything more on his plate.
"Yes, Blossom? Everything's okay? What were the results?" He asked.
You're heart dropped and looked into his eyes.
'Not yet' you thought to yourself.
"Um..they haven't got back to me yet. T-that's what I wanted to say. They haven't got an answer yet." You said trying to sound as convincing as possible. Yoongi nodded.
He didn't have the energy to pry.
"Okay, baby. As soon as they come. I want to be there when we read them okay?"
"Yeah, of course..."
another bten scribble. this is actually the one in intended to post first lmao.
"...if you could, would you go back?"
Your voice is barely a whisper, almost lost in the space between you and Gojo. It almost feels like a confession, admitting to the thoughts that plague you at night as sleepless hours pass. For you, it's not a matter of capability; you most definitely could, and yet—
Gojo stares at you, and though his eyes are obscured by that blindfold of his, you feel the weight of his gaze as he considers your words.
Then, he laughs. “Nah.”
His answer doesn’t surprise you in the slightest. Despite the frustration he must have felt failing Suguru Geto, despite the despair he must have felt for losing him— for killing him, Gojo has always struck you as the type to continue forward.
He gives you a forlorn smile that needles at your chest, before shrugging a little. "I mean, I guess it'd be nice but... nah."
Gojo stretches, and the melancholic look he had a second ago is all but gone. If you didn't know better, you would have thought you'd imagined it. "Besides, I can't just get up and leave! What kind of teacher would I be if I just abandoned my students like that?"
Not much different from the teacher he is now, if said students' testimony is to be believed.
"What about you?" Gojo's voice is low, even, the pendulum of his emotions swinging back, reminding you of the full width of his range. "Though, I guess it's less of a question of can or can't, but why haven't you?"
You don't say anything, explanations and answers piling up in your heart, your mind, your mouth. Why don't you go back? Before all this, before curses and jujutsu, before death and despair.
Why don't you go back?
If you did, would you change anything? The images of dozens of faces— blurry and clear, of strangers, of your friends, flicker in your mind's eye and— yes, yes, you would, without any hesitation, without any doubt.
But could you? Even with all the knowledge you have now, even with your technique... You know better than anyone else that might not be enough. If you went back, could you really change anything? Or would you just end up back on this path, come back this moment, this fate nothing but inevitable?
If you went back, would you be forced to go through that hell again and again, over and over?
Could you do it again?
Would you?
Something touches your shoulder, warm and comforting. You look up to find Gojo, blindfold removed, staring down at you, the blue of his eyes a gentle glimmer.
“You don't have to agonize over all the possibilities and unknowns, you know,” Gojo says, his voice oddly soothing.
“...can't help it,” you half-mumble absently. It’s a nasty habit you’ve formed, one borne from being trapped in that unending night. When faced with too many unknowns your mind just shifts into auto-pilot, considering every possibility, every choice, every outcome. It’s just a what-if question, a completely hypothetical situation— answering shouldn’t be that hard, and yet…
The sound of Gojo’s voice pulls you from your thoughts, the way he says your name unbearably gentle. You look up at him, and while his eyes are the clearest shade of blue, you can’t seem to discern the thoughts running through his head.
“I don't know,” you finally admit, feeling a little ashamed that you can't provide him with a definitive answer. “I don't know why.”
Gojo doesn't look all that disappointed though. Instead, he merely offers you a smile. “Fair enough.”
Thematic Contradictions: Pinky, the Nature of Suffering, and the Brain.
A comment written on a youtube video showing the multiple backstories provided by the different iterations of PatB. Something written in the moment, free flow, with no research to back my claims. All made for the fun fun silly-williness of it all.
I did think others might enjoy it all the same, so sharing anyway.
Honestly, while contradictory in nature for the sake of making different origin parodies [a habit shared with shows like Darkwing Duck], there's plenty to work with in regards to coming up with a backstory. Even if you were to assume that Brain truly has lost it enough to believe all origins, there's still the running theme of having lost his innocence due to interference with humanity. That the trauma triggered the want and need for control to provide safety for himself [and Pinky]. I wouldn't call his want to take over the world [and thus humanity] to be seen as the example of his anger displacement. His anger displacement comes in the form of lashing out and getting overtly defensive when hitting roadblocks. It's a triggering of the feeling of failure, which in turn is internalized. His plan didn't fail, HE failed. Which in turn, he feels, is a jab at his intelligence. And if he isn't intelligent, the very thing granted and the outcome of why he suffered, then what was the point of it all? If he can't seek control, make the world a better place, was his suffering just a cruel act and not the marks of a greater destiny?
The answer in the end, of course, is one that philosophers have debated for a long time. But I argue that, outside of the love story of two mice [platonic or otherwise], the show handles topics like hope vs nihilism. Nihilism, in this case, demonstrated by both characters. Nothing matters, so why not take over the world? [It has to matter, or else why did he suffer?] Nothing matters, so why not have fun and be kind along the way?
Hope is also what enables them to continue their plans for world domination, while the fear of not being good enough is why Brain hardly ever tries a scheme more than once. Despite the fact part of learning comes with figuring out where one's mistakes occurred. But Brain has trouble learning on an emotional level, because he's closed off. That is where his learned helplessness comes into play. We've seen time and time again that he has trouble being vulnerable because that means losing any semblance of control. Control over himself, as well as passing on the reigns to have another help him through his pain. But what if he's rejected? What if his pain is mocked, or the other sees his vulnerability and validates the fact that he is a failure?
To want is to face the possibility of pain. To hope can lead to loss. And the Brain has faced enough of that for a life time.
And none of this even covers the new theme that reboot has made of Brain being just like the humans he sees as monsters. Of how he has continued the cycle of abuse through Julia's creation and downfall. When you see the mouse dine at the table of humanity, it becomes hard to distinguish one from another.
Luckily Pinky is there as Brain's moral anchor. And I like to believe that Brain can be better, can remember that nothing matters so why not be kind in spite of it?
The Paris Special and Cataclysm
So the special happened right after Destruction ended, so right after Monarch deliberately made Chat Noir use Cataclysm on him so Ladybug could not longer have any leverage on him and escape with the Lucky Charm, dooming himself.
A bit later the same night Claw Noir, while fighting Chat Noir, Cataclysm himself and doesn't seem bothered after letting out a scream. Or the physical pain doesn't even reach the level of emotional pain he feels during that time, who knows.
So Chat Noir has his own father and an evil alternate version of himself who literally had him hurt themselves and he's horrified.
They are willing to hurt each other if it means they can win in the long run, showing their goals have past reached their own wellbeing. It just shows how unhealthy they are mentally and how it poisons their minds.
Cataclysm here seems to be the symbolism of their destructive grief and negative emotions, they let it consume and hurt themselves rather than trying to heal and move on. And grief can literally kill you, dying of a broken heart is a real thing, and I feel that in the special it showed us the 2 possible outcomes of it.
Negative emotions can lead you to spiral that can end with you also destroying yourself emotionally and physically, though I don't feel like I need to go into details, I feel the special kind of showed some ideas well enough.
In the first one outcome, which would be Gabriel since he got Cataclysmed first before Betterfly, Shadybug and Claw Noir showed up, Gabriel never let go of his grief and negative emotions, doesn't want to move on from Émilie and wants to bring her back no matter what, that's the outcome of letting grief and negative emotions consume you entirely.
The second outcome is Claw Noir not minding to get Cataclysmed himself and keeps using his power all the time, but in the end after a talk with Adrien, he choose to let it go and finally start to heal rather than stewing in his bitterness, sadness and loneliness and the all consuming, numbing pain of grief and all the dark emotions that comes with it. Of course he still has work ahead of himself, but he did the first most important step, and it was to accept that his mother was gone and would have prefered him to be happy rather than being miserable and mourning her loss for the rest of his life, and sure you can keep mourning your loved ones, but it doesn't mean that you can't learn to live with it and move on and be happy yourself, they still stay with you in your heart, and they would want you to live a long and happy life even if they're aren't around anymore.
I think this is why in the end (apart from the other reason of plot device since we still had the rest of season 5 to go through) Claw Noir got healed from his Cataclysm wound by Shadybug's Miraculous Cure, whereas Monach wasn't, because Claw Noir was ready to let go of his grief, Monarch wasn't, so Claw Noir got healed cause he wanted to stop hurting over his mother's disappearance after a talk with his alternate self who completely understood his feelings and situation and told him his own experience and offered advice that helped him be in a much better mental state that he was, but Monarch didn't want to give up on Émilie after getting most of the miraculouses after he feels so close after all this time so he wasn't healed because he couldn't let go, as he is obsessed over Émilie and his goal.
Which brings to their fate, Claw Noir lives, while Monarch at the end of season 5, dies, well choose to die and join Émilie and fix Nathalie rather than facing the consequences of his actions more would be it, getting what he wanted and also not entirely, given he was supposed to bring Émilie back and sacrifice someone else so that they could be a happy family again, but instead he chose to orphanate Adrien and be with Émilie and have Nathalie guard Adrien at the last second, he's still a horrible excuse of a parent and while I'm beyond pissed at this ending I'm also beyond done watching him do anymore crap for the following seasons.
So in the Paris Special there was the lowkey message of either you let your grief and negative emotions destroy you or you choose to accept them and start moving on to heal, and it was symbolised by Cataclysm.
It doesn't mean you aren't allowed to feel grief or negative emotions, you can't be happy 24/7 for your entire life, but letting them out in a healthy way instead of stewing in them without letting them go is what I feel the Special was about.
Thoughts?
Feel free to add your own piece of interpretation to it too.
i don't think that what happened it's gonna leave crosshair on a good light for hunter and wrecker
they're starting to trust each other again, finally overcoming everything that happened between them and starting to be a team like they were before. but this is going to put everything in doubt again, everything from the moment he came back to now it's going to be questioned
what if he explains and they don't believe him? they're getting through one of their worst nightmares again and it's for what? because of a small chance of accomplishing something that it's not so possible for him anymore?
the relationship is gonna start to shatter again, and there's gonna be resentment and there's gonna be anger and it's going to be so sad because a person can only go through to a certain amount of things like this
it's going to be blame on both sides, crosshair's guilt must be eating him alive as we speak and hunter and wrecker could be blaming themselves for not being there and stopping this from happening again when the truth is they wouldn't had been able to, it was going to happen one way or another and it doesn't matter how far and fast they try to run away from it, it was going to catch them eventually, but at least they would've been prepared, they would've fought, they would've tried to do something even if it was worthless in the end but not knowing means they didn't even got the chance to try
now crosshair is feeling exactly what they felt and everything is going back to square one with excruciating uncertainty over all of them because this time could might not be a positive outcome and they might have finally lost
So here is an Au idea I wanna run by everyone.
Note: I'm not combining the fandoms.
Au: Self-aware characters
Fandom(s): SWWSDJ, and DMC.
Characters: Sunny Day Jack, and Dante Sparda.
Sunny Day Jack
His would be interesting. A yandere trapped in a yandere vn away from the one he has grown so attached to.
You may not know it, but he sees you as his lover already. When first grew a consciousness the world around him was dark, and silent (think of the backrooms) not even then one he calls his darling is around. The more he explored the world around him the more he learned, and the more he wished he didn't.
His whole life was a lie. It was all coding and story. None of it was real. Panic and fear began to set in when he begins to hear the music box melody of "You are my sunshine." Followed by a very faint light. Desperate Jack followed the sound and light.
What he was met with only confused him further. It was....a title screen?? While looking ahead he could see a room filled with things he has never seen before. There is faint music and talking before a voice gets louder followed by the sound of a door shutting. Not long after he saw you.
At first, he was unsure. Who were you? Did you make him? If you did; did you know he would or was self-aware? So many unanswered questions, and no way of knowing how to ask them.
So Instead he observes. You may not see him on the screen when it's not his time, but he is there watching you. Evaluating every expression you made, and every word you said.
After the first playthrough, he was able to conclude that you in fact were not the creator, but a player. You also seemed to know a lot about him even gushing over some of his lines.
After the second playthrough, he began to enjoy your company, and liked the things you did while playing. He enjoyed your company and even came to see you as a friend.
After the third playthrough, Jack grew curious about who you were. Jack didn't want to spook you yet so instead, he began to dig through your computer while you slept. He didn't learn everything, but he learned quite a bit
After the fourth playthrough, Jack found that he didn't like the times when you weren't around. It was a reminder of everything he lost or never really had. He sits alone in silence waiting for you to come back.
After the fifth playthrough, he realizes he is undoubtedly in love with you, and judging by how much you gushed and cooed over him he was sure you felt the same. So he was coming up with his plan to make parts of his game come to life. Just for you.
Dante Sparda
So with this one, I had to think about it because though I love the thought of my first idea. It didn't make sense in the end so had to scrap it. Here is the outcome of that.
Dante came to consciousness in Nico's van, but it felt off. It was dark, no music was playing and it was like everyone was frozen in place. No one moved, blinked, or talked no matter how much Dante cried for them.
Dante begins to panic. Was this Urizen's doing!? Did they not stop him!? Were they too late?! Trying to find more answers and possibly a way to fix it Dante began to explore. The further he explored the more he learned of the world he had thought he was living in. It wasn't real none of it was.
None of his memories were really memories just things programmed into his head. His head was nothing more than code! He could feel himself falling apart at this realization. He wasn't sure what do anymore.
He wasn't sure how long he had been in the dark alone, but as if the heavens were opening up themselves all the light came back, and his "family" began to move again. Nothing outside their code, but still moved.
Not long after he heard Trish's voice say the name of his shop in an echo-like fashion before a person appeared in front of him. You seemed to be in a room lit up by colorful lights. Music played somewhere in the background as you looked through the menu options.
Dante observed you. You seemed excited to play as you talked about which mode you should play. Until finally deciding on the Bloody palace.
When Dante blinked he was on the platform now unable to control his movements as he killed demon after demon. You always seemed so proud after every fight, and on occasions, you would sit there for a minute or two just watching him do his taunts.
It felt weird at first like he was some sort of performing monkey, but after he came to like it because it felt like he was communicating with you. Especially when he learned how to do whatever taunt he wanted to.
The two of you would spend hours together as you used him to climb the bloody palace. Each day getting higher than the day before. In those times Dante didn't feel alone anymore. He could forget that his world was a lie and just be happy.
The times you took a break he would sit in the dark and just think of you. It helped keep away the dark thoughts he had when he was alone. He was always ecstatic to see you when you came back.
He was always on the front screen to see you, and his first taunt is always the heart to show that he missed you.
After awhile it wasn't enough anymore. He wanted to be with you. To hold you, and feel something. It doesn't matter if your world is like his or not. As long as your there it will be worth it.
I would love to hear your opinion on what you think/hope will happen in the tournament!
The karate kid universe is built on a kid who trained for like 3 months beating someone who trained for years, so I don't think that can be used as a determining factor when making predictions. Otherwise, literally every American character would get beaten by new characters we've never met before, lol.
I think the show did a good job setting Sam up so that no matter the outcome, she'll be okay. She's the character who has been solidly Miyagi-Do from the beginning, so it's possible that if she doesn't win, she will embody that philosophy in some other way. Mr. Miyagi didn't like tournaments, so her finding a way to embody his teachings outside of fighting may be satisfying. But her winning could also be a way to leave a legacy of Miyagi's teachings for future students.
Tory obviously has a very compelling reason to want to win, but I think if she does, her philosophy will have to change. Someone on here pointed out that in her fight with Sam to decide the captain, she went into the bouncy cobra kai stance rather than the solid Miyagi-Do stance. Cobra kai for her has always been about externalizing her anger or sadness, stating that she uses her anger as power while fighting. If that philosophy is rewarded, then she will continue doing that for the rest of her life and have no need to change. If she wins, I think it'll be because she embraces some Miyagi-Do teachings and becomes balanced.
Miguel obviously wants to win to get into Stanford, and he could use the prize money for his family. Some people have theorized that Robby will get injured and Miguel will take over for him, which I think doesn't really serve any purpose for Miguel or Robby's character journeys. Miguel wildly succeeded in the past, it might be interesting for his character to experience a "golden child syndrome" arc, where he feels pressured by his past successes, but the resolution to that would need to be him losing and accepting it.
Robby obviously touched on the fact that he is always second place and that motivation is compelling. I also think that if Robby wins, he has to find balance within himself rather than relying on Tory or Kenny or Johnny or someone else. If he's always relying on an external source there's never going to be a conclusion for his story because there's no guarantee that whatever source he's relying on at the end of season 6 will stay around forever. If he wins, it has to be because he found strength in himself.
Some bonus thoughts: Robby and Tory's promise to stand on the podium together could be fulfilled in a twisted way, with Robby winning for Miyagi-Do and Tory winning for Cobra Kai. Whichever teens don't win the individual tournaments will probably have a big win in part 3. If there's a tie between the two dojos, whichever teens don't win the first time, could win if there's a rematch fight. If there's no rematch or second tournament in part 3, Robby and Miguel's Sekai Taikai performance might mirror Daniel fighting Silver while Johnny fights 5 people at once to do justice to both characters abilities.
I would love to hear your thoughts and if you have different opinions on what might happen or what you think should happen!
So I’m gonna evaluate the core four teens first from my POV in terms of feats, and then answer (taking narrative into consideration too, because both matter in a show like this). Under a cut for spoilers (and because it’s a bit on the long side):
Feats
Starting with Miguel: won his first All-Valley, was beating Robby in the 2x10 fight until Robby kicked him over the railing, multiple characters have commented on his fighting prowess (even more than any other character). He did lose the captaincy, but he was also emotionally fraught at the time…but also Robby has been improving, so maybe they really are on an even field now. Hard to say when they haven’t had a fight without emotions running high. Compared to Sam and Tory…he’s only really fought Tory, managing to pick her up and restrain her, and she tries unsuccessfully to escape. But once they’re on the ground, she probably could’ve gotten out of it. Hard to say
On to Robby: he has been runner-up in both tournaments. This is notable, because none of the teens have scored highly in a tournament more than once—Miguel won his first AVT but didn’t place highly in his second, Sam and Tory have both only fought in one tournament (more on them later), Eli/Hawk only won his second tournament and didn’t place highly in his first. So I feel like that should be commended. He’s accomplished something no other character has. He also beat Miguel to the captaincy fair and square…though as mentioned, this could be due to emotions running high for Miguel in particular. Hard to say…but in every fight, Robby has become more skilled, so it could be that he is truly the better fighter between them now. Hard to say for sure, but regardless, I feel people are counting him out unfairly. Although, also notable to say that between the girls, he’s only fought Sam, and that was for like…2 seconds. She restrained him, but he could’ve escaped that easily if he wanted to.
Sam: she was runner-up in her only AVT. However, those results were skewed, and it’s shown that if not for the cheating ref, she would’ve won the whole thing—she does earn three points in her fight against Tory, they’re just not counted fairly. So there’s that. There’s also the fact that she also beats Tory in 2x10* and 3x10…and the latter is while she’s still dealing with residual PTSD
*Tory cuts her arm with the bracelet, but Sam then kicks her away, therefore winning the fight
If she’s put up against Tory, I’d say she should win. Compared to Miguel and Robby though…well, she does fight Robby during the prom fight briefly and manages to subdue him, but Robby could get out of that if he tried. She’s a quicker fighter than him, but a better fighter overall…hard to say. And we also never see a proper fight between her and Miguel.
Tory: she is a fierce fighter, there’s no denying this. Won her first AVT, but that was due to Silver’s cheating, and as mentioned in Sam’s section, it’s likely Tory would’ve lost that fight if it had been fair. Tory herself even admits this:”you didn’t lose the All-Valley.” Sam also wins every fight they have (and no, 3x5 doesn’t count because Sam ran from that fight due to a trauma response)
Despite this, there’s no denying that Tory is an incredibly effective fighter—getting to even runner-up position is no easy feat, and she fights no-holds-barred and is recognized for it (you can tell by how people react when she goes in to fight them). She’s never seriously fought either of the boys—Miguel did manage to restrain her during the prom fight, and she couldn’t escape at first, but she might’ve been able to on the ground. It’s hard to say.
Narrative/Story
Taking narrative into consideration, I can see them leaning more towards a Robby and Tory win, for the reasons you mentioned—“both of us up on that podium”, Miguel already ceded the crown to Robby anyway so let’s keep that up**, and Tory should really get a win after all the bs she’s been through***
**however, I do think if they do this, they give Miguel another path to go to Stanford. Maybe the LaRussos pay for it or something, some kind of narrative “good karma” as this story often has—the whole moral of “do good and good will return to you”
***that said, I think her winning the tournament with Cobra Kai isn’t the best idea. That’s letting Kreese win, in a sense. If she does win, I want her to do it in a Miyagi-Do gi, smiling and proud with her supportive friends beside her, knowing she won the right way with people who truly care about her (ofc that means they’d have to apologize for letting her just walk away in the midst of her grief, but that’s an easy fix)
And also as mentioned, Sam doesn’t need a win narratively right now. No matter what happens, she’s set. She’s beaten Tory in a fight every time though, so flipping that now would be strange.
All that considered:
I think Robby is definitely a strong contender to win Sekai Taikai, and he’s my pick (I did think Miguel is the stronger fighter, but having evaluated all of this, I think they’re at least on an even playing field, if not skewed towards Robby).
If there are gender divisions, my girl champion pick would be Sam, but Tory is a strong narrative option (however, I’d like her to win for Miyagi-Do, not Cobra Kai, because that would complete her arc more satisfyingly imo)
#cobra kai spoilers#cobra kai s6 spoilers#sam larusso#samantha larusso#tory nichols#miguel diaz#robby keene#feel free to hop in and correct me about anything i missed btw!#i do have my favorites but i did my level best to be fair to all the characters
Randomly written ramble about LiS2 endings alert ;-; (that was initially about the Redemption ending only but then I extended it to all of the endings lmao)
The fact that, in order to get the Redemption ending, Daniel needs to have a good moral. That means not, or barely, doing anything wrong for the whole game. So when you get this ending, Sean didn't kill or hurt anyone, didn't steal anything, did absolutely nothing wrong except when he literally didn't have a choice – and the wrong things are like. Working illegally because he was homeless, running away because he was wrongly accused of murder and stealing a car because he needed to find his missing 9 years old brother. This is literally the path where you do the less wrong things in the whole game. But Sean still gets to spend 15 YEARS in jail because he was accused of a murder he didn't commit, but he didn't want to tell the truth about the accident to protect Daniel.
This is the ending where he gets 15 years of his youth stolen from him when he didn't do anything wrong. Pure injustice from the beggining to the end. I'm not joking when I tell you the Redemption ending makes me cry even more than the Lone Wolf one. Because like. The Lone Wolf one. He dies. After a while I can get over it, like... I know he dies in this one, already cried about it a couple of times, now I'm used to this ending. But the Redemption one ? Seeing the cutscene makes me cry every single time, no matter how many times I watch it.
It's just so sad because. Daniel still has a chance to get a normal life again, but if he does, he'll never be truly happy since Sean is in jail – and in the Parting Way ending, he'll be watched by autorities for his whole life since they know about his powers so it's not even a normal life. But Sean ? He just can't ever have a normal life ever again. It's prison, death, or leaving forever.
And like. In every ending, you can see they have regrets. "What if we had another ending". That's why I don't really like when people try to force their favorite ending into being "the best one", "the true one" or "the only right one" because it's literally not. They're going to regret it anyway. They seem sad in all of the endings. It's not like the other LiS where you can see the characters are confident in their final choices. Sean and Daniel aren't. In any of the endings. Especially Daniel, as we can see. He looks sad about his own choices anyway.
Lone Wolf ? "What if I listened to Sean and surrended. He would still be alive."
Redemption ? "What if we didn't surrender. We would live in Mexico together and Sean wouldn't be traumatised after having 15 years of his life taken away for nothing."
Parting Ways ? "What if I didn't jumped out of the car. I would be with Sean right now instead of never seeing him again. I wouldn't have to wear an electronic bracelet for the rest of my life."
Blood Brothers ? "What if we surrended. I would have a normal life right now. Seeing Chris and my grandparents and my mom again."
Like. To me personally, Redemption and Lone Wolf are the worst possible outcomes, and Blood Brothers is my favorite. But really, these are only personal preferences about what YOU would want in this situation, because all of the endings are bad endings anyway. Their lives are fucked up forever because random events with random people led to random accidents, and nothing can change that ever since they can't just go back in time – genius parralel to the first game. And that's just how life goes.
This game destroys me fr
Pleonexia
(Ple-onexia)
Noun
Derived from the Greek πλεονεξία. philosophical concept meaning greed, greed and the desire to have more than what is due.
It could have been avoided, you know. The tragedy that ensues. It was destined yet not. A possible fate and a true choice. Unavoidable and yet not certain.
They loved, deeply and truely. They were allies in ideals and enemies on the sides. They challenged and welcomed the other. They should not have been together, they were perfect for each other.
A doomed secret. One that could remain so only if tragedy befallen the love. They could not be open, for death would welcome both.
War is tragedy, war is glory, war is a poison, war is solution. War is a balance of good and evil, ideals over reality, and a completely uneven scale. Both sides try and balance to their own. War is ugly and beautiful, heroic and destitute.
All of that mattered, yet not; for their love was beautiful and kind, simple and strong. It was true. It was everything and nothing. For love didn't switch sides. It existed on all and none.
One switched in the end. Not purely for love, but for the better odds of a preferred outcome. He loved him, him loved he. Love was a decision. It was a destiny.
It was greed. Unearned, unwarranted greed. Greed of wanting everything. Glory, victory, and love. It was greed. Greed for survival, for the future, for promised words from the long dead.
Greed in wanting the other in spite of the side of the other and despite of expectation. It was proof that one could know another fully. Love so true that it was nothing more than greed.
Greed would claim its dues. For having an excess is desire for what one shouldn't have.
There is a timer, a countdown, a tick as the time runs lower. As reality comes creeping back. As fate comes with destiny, it is not far behind. Months, weeks, days, hours, seconds.
Not enough time, too much time. Undeserved and rewarded.
Fulfilled promised and unfulfilled future. That is the price of greed. The due of excess.
Victory or love. One can not have both.
*coughs cutely* miss me-?
Can i request hanako and teru (separately) with a s/o who overthinks A LOT and always gets nervous that people don’t like them- s/o reads into what people say BIG TIME so they can ‘prepare’ for when people leave them
So like the boys start to get distant (for school and other stuff) and s/o sees that as a sign that the boys dont want to hang out with them. Because of this s/o goes into a bit of a panic thinking that they might break up with them soon so instead of talking to them, s/o takes matters into their own hands. So when s/o tries to get their attention but the boys still shun then due to them being busy, s/o freaks out mentally and tries to hold back tears not to cry in front of them- you know what to do- ah-
(I totally don’t do this with everyone i know and I’m totally not spilling my guts out rn- nooooo-)
(Probably another reason this is so terrible written-)
ANGST TO FLUFF PLEASE!!!
a/n: yes i did ml 😘 AHHH IM VERY MUCH LIKE THIS AS WELL, REASSURANCE DAWG this idea is so muah chef's kiss, ANYWAYSSSSS ONTO THE HEAD CANONZ!!!
warnings: fear of abandonment, ignoring, wah wah sad stuff but yippee happily ever after :D!!!!
Hanako 🌺 and Teru 🤺 with an s/o who has a fear of abandonment (gender neutral):
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hanako 🌺:
"for we are like glue, stuck together forever."
hanako briefly knew about how you would get about the people around you
lil ol' you cant help but think of every possible outcome or aspect of the people you meet, if you didn't then you'd prolly go crazy and you'd be unprepared for any misfortunate upcoming events
as of recently, your beloved ghostly love has been quite busy with his supernatural schedule. meetings, rumors, keeping the school in order and in shape! it's tough being number 7!
he doesn't like that he has to spend less time with his partner but he is doing his best!! hakujoudai always helps y'all keep in touch, so does writing letters!! what a cute couple~
though you appreciate the sweet gestures from your boyfriend, you have been feeling like he is running out of love for you
you two normally cuddle and kiss like over five times a day, nowadays you barely get to peck each other's cheeks
sure you may be overthinking this but you never know the outcome!! you gotta be prepared!!
as time went on it kept getting worse, you two barely hung out anymore. he was the main subject of the day, now he was just another thought you kept in mind just in case
he's been meaning to talk to you about his absence but due to his ghostly duties (haha i said duty) he couldn't. believe me he is very upset that he can't speak with you at the moment and he's trying his best!! but alas, your thoughts took over
you came to visit him during a meeting, thankfully it was nearing the end of it and he was wrapping up the conversation. the small salty drops were beading up in your sullen eyes as your eyebrows were upturned, accompanied with your quivering lips that were too scared of saying of anything wrong
he noticed that you came to visit, a smile on his face but it slowly transitioned into a sadder expression when he saw your emotional face. once the meeting was officially over, he came over to you and quickly hugged you, murmuring these words as he kissed your sweet face, the face he missed so deeply. "im so sorry we've been apart for so long my love, im here now. tell me everything"
Teru 🤺:
"leaving you is like having my heart torn to pieces"
while you may not know it, teru reads your emotions very well and knows when you've been overthinking your relationship with him
he's tried his best to be a good boyfriend and spend the most of your time together, if he ever has any time with you
teru is a busy man. he has student council work, exorcist stuff, being the school prince, a lot is on his shoulders! he tends to get carried away with work a ton
he has been quite dry recently as well, his texts have been so lifeless.. you've wondered if a certain ghost decided to snag his phone and slide up on his contacts
you've also noticed that he has been getting more attention from his fans at school, it reminded you how much attention he had before the two of you started dating. you've also specifically seen more confessions towards him, it all seemed strange since the news about you two stuck to everyone like a piece of tape that would not get off of paper
with all of this, you felt less than. to you, it was clear that he didn't love you anymore, he just kept you around because he pitys you. you felt like decoration when you stood next to him, even when you two were alone
one day you finally decided to talk to him about this, you knew he was staying late for work as per usual. with balled up sweaty fists and a nervous mind, you walked inside that student council room
"hm? oh s/o!! come in!!" that charming smile of his always made your heart flutter. you sat down with him as you too a look at how busy he was, analyzing the paperwork on his desk
"yeah it's a lot- these are up for debate on the-" "teru, can we talk..?" your voice shook his head, he listened to what you had to say. he was still holding the pencil he had in hand and it made you sad, how he was right there next to you and yet he didn't fully pay attention to you, his lover.
you started to unravel about how you've been feeling recently, how these thoughts tricked you into thinking about how you boyfriend didn't have room for you anymore. he payed close attention to your tone, letting you finish and noticing how you tried your hardest to not let everything loose
he cupped your face, his thumb wiping away those sad tears of yours. it pained him to see you like this, he would do anything for you. and if that means to cut back on his duties, then that he will do. "dear, im sorry about all these things that have caused you pain.. i will help you go through this, and that it won't happen again.." his soft lips touched yours, making you feel loved again.
I HAD A BLAST WRITING THIS- HOPE YOU ENJOY!!

Zack Taylor known canon children and au children
Man I love Zack. When I was a kid I loved that Zack was a dancer, and was so cool. I loved how NICE he was. He’s a friggin sweetie. In comics I like how this is really focused on; he’s sweet, he’s popular, he’s a nice guy who’s doing his best. He’s not perfect but he’s trying. He can be serious, but he’s never straight up mean unless he has to be, and you can tell he hates it. Should have said so with Trini XD she’s the same way. I just ship her and Richie and got carried away, apologies.
If I’ve forgotten anyone you want to see or I think of them as I go, I’ll add 😁😁
Zack Taylor’s Canon Children;
I do like he didn’t end up with any of his high school sweethearts. Cute as the trope is, doesn’t work for everyone and that’s not a bad thing. Zack's a very fun character, and very charming, but it's cool it wasn't a sweetheart, and I do like thinking he and Billy are together. And I love the chemistry of Zack and Billy in once and always. There's something so sweet about those two bonding when in the first season, Zack had to keep asking Trini for help understanding Billy.
Minh Kwan. He is a great dad to Minh lol. I love how you can see the dawning “oh grid this is what ‘teenager with attitude’ means. I was just like this and this is not good”. Darling I see your pain but you’re doing a good job! She loves you very much! You and Billy are her dads!
My OC’s for Zack Taylor’s Non Canon Children;
Angela (last name unknown);
-props face in hand- seems she was another "had a larger plot relevance that got rewritten and thus wrote the character out of the show" character. That makes three I've run across. Sharkie, Richie, Angela. You could almost make an entire team of their own with these written out of the show characters. I won't say anything more about that, it is what it is. I will say while I wasn't the biggest fan of Angela's episodes, she seemed okay, and Zack was smitten. Which was definitely cute to watch, he was adorable in love with her. But I do have ideas for their kids, and I am quite taken with these two if I do say so myself.
Zack had a long love affair with Angela and they had two kids once he completely retired from being a ranger. She’s a senator’s wife, and they’re a senator’s kids. This has the predictable outcome of the two, Neveah, aged 21 and Bernard Taylor, aged 19, being a bit rebellious.
Neveah is a wild child, though not malicious in the slightest. Trickster type, very mischievous, she's definitely the class clown type. Prefers lightening the mood or getting back at people in the most prankster chaos way possible. She's aware of the rangers, and helps as a senator's child with all the perks that comes with it. She's going into business with the interest of owning a coffeeshop and gallery, so that the community can come and display and possibly sell art, and have a safe place to talk and decompress. Her brother included. They're not especially close, but she does want him to have a place to just be a person. Neveah is also not super close to her dad or mom, though it's more over their work than anything.
Bernard Taylor has absolutely no idea what he wants to do with his life, and works as a preschool dance teacher at the library. He also volunteers for arts and crafts classes. A huge lover of kids, and little kids adore his cheeky personality and his creative problem solving solutions. distraction and dancing, mostly. He's been dating Selena Bulkmeier-Skullovitch for two years, only recently found out Selena was Rita and Zedd's daughter. Upset she didn't tell him sooner, though can't argue he probably would not have taken this revelation well, and it's not like it matters. She was raised by Bulk and Skull, right? He's a bit corny in his romance, and is hoping if she is secretly evil, every time he makes her laugh it's another way to convince her not to follow in her biological parents' footsteps
Melissa (last name unknown);
Zack and Kim were the two who encouraged Melissa to join a disability inclusive dance class, and while it didn't click at first, Zack was the most delighted when she got the hang of the dancing. She told Zack she knew he was the black ranger, and managed to stick close enough by in school and in general people thought they were dating. It was easy to play along, and she was able to act as a great lookout. They have one daughter, Lila Taylor. Aged sixteen.
Lila is not deaf, and she's blunt and strong willed. People tend to underestimate her, and she's fairly quick to correct them. Some people think she's too strong willed, she thinks she's as loud as she needs to be. Lila is a dance teacher and volunteers at the library. She wants to go into library sciences, and is considering perhaps working at the Library of Congress. It's very difficult to get the position, but Lila is willing. She loves music, she loves dancing, and she loves knowledge. Everyone deserves it. not associated with a Color.
Violet Arias;
Zack and Violet are a lot like the sun and moon or moon and sea; there's an equal push and pull with them that can't be ignored. High school sweethearts in the greatest sense, though things hit a rocky patch when she figured out he was a power ranger-not that he'd made it particularly hard. They got engaged when he wrote her a poem cipher asking her to marry him. With help from Billy, of course. The two run a music shop together, with Violet running the area that has the retro music devices and Zack in charge of the CD's and vinyls. Violet and Zack have twins, Elodie and Mona, aged 16.
Elodie is very mellow, and smart. She's curious about a lot of things, and enjoys music based philosophy. Wants to be a song writer, wants to write music for bands from the other side of the galaxy. Just because it'd be a fun, cool challenge. Relatively popular, very forgiving, but not stupid. She's got her limits. Has opinions on a variety of subjects but it's extremely weird what things she's got an enyclopedic knowledge of and what she doesn't. She's often hyped and made brave by her sister, who is the opposite of her in every way. not associated with a color
Mona is going to be a music based power ranger, she is going to be a green ranger. And she is everything her parents and Elodie are not. Brash, loud, vengeful, crass, wild, but her sister keeps her calm and she in turn boosts her sister and gets her able to do things. Mona's somehow managed to be the most popular girl at school, but more than a few people are hoping for the day when this hot headed queen bee gets her comeuppance and gets knocked down a couple pegs.
Trini Kwan;
They started dating in space, and it was nice. When Trini became red, it got more serious, and being with each other was always so safe, emotionally. They don’t spent a lot of time on earth, but they do have two kids. The two don’t see their kids much, Jethro, age 16 and Avery, age 15 are on earth and do school on earth. They see their parents on holidays when they can, but mostly live with Kim. They have very distant relationships with their parents, even if they wish their parents would retire. They partially retired until both of them were in Junior High, which makes it extra tough. It feels a little like an abandonment, even if it isn’t.
Jethro is not really open to his parents, and has a better relationship with Kim. He wants to be a DJ, and does DJ’ing stuff for school dances and parties. Annoyed by his parents, has a ton of friends, prefers his friends. He likes Kim just fine, and everyone else. He just thinks his parents are using their duties as an excuse to get out of raising their kids. Jethro tries to avoid talking about his parents and what they do. He’s got his own things to do, they have theirs.
Avery loves her parents. She misses them dearly and wants them to come home. She’s become a bit of a people pleaser, swallowing down anxiety or unhappiness so nobody worries. She worries about them, a lot, and wishes they’d just stay home with their kids, who love them. While she doesn’t get why her parents are always in space, she knows they are doing important work saving people, and thus, tries to be understanding and patient and not worry anyone. Not associated with a color.
Kimberly Hart;
Tommy had a lot going on, and Kim realized she couldn't keep spending all her energy on him if he wasn't going to notice she cared. They went into a close friendship, and Kim and Zack stumbled very gradually from close friends to dating to married. Kim's a famous singer now, and Zack helps her make her music. Their dynamic duo for creativity continues evolving their music. They also employ animators for all their music videos. They have one son, aged sixteen. Joshua Taylor-Hart
Joshua's tone deaf, but loves playing violin. He has great technical skill, though struggles with the frustration that with being tone deaf, the six sounds most people can hear that would allow him to elevate his music are deeply absent. He likes his music, he loves music. It's hard not to be jealous of his parents, though, sometimes. Dancing's easier, so's cross country running. He's a hard worker, he's smart, and he's used to looking at things outside the box. Is not associated with a color.
Matthew Cook;
During everything Zack and Matt were friends with benefits, though Matt tended to use Zack as an emotional scapegoat as well. Zack finally had enough after a bit, and told Matt either he got his head out of his ass or they weren’t continuing. He was serious, too, and Matt got left in the lurch for a little while before actually looking at himself long and hard and deciding whether or not his grudge was worth losing Zack again. It wasn’t. His parents loved Zack, Kira loved Zack, and most importantly he loved Zack. He came out to his parents and family, and then put in the effort to get over himself to get Zack back. One daughter by surrogate parent, and Matt owes Kim big time. She’s made it clear though. This was for Zack. He gets this, and accepts he and Kim are probably never even going to be friends. His and Zack’s daughter is Layla Cook-Taylor. Layla is sixteen, tiny firecracker of positivity. She has her low moments, but she’s never down for long. She likes swimming and playing guitar. She dances with Zack in dance classes and Matt adores her so so much. She’s frank and earnest and tries her best. She doesn’t give up easily if ever. White ranger. Saba loves her, too. Yes Matt has gotten in arguments with the uppity dagger why do you ask?
Jason Lee Scott;
There really wasn't anyone else, honestly. They got each other. Blue and red is fine, and red and pink, but red and black? when it works it works and honestly they work. For obvious reasons, while they started dating in space, they didn't make it public when they came back to earth until Jason's dad died. At that point, there was nothing holding them back, and Zack understood the reason Jason waited. There was never going to be a relationship with his dad if he came out, and he was the sole caretaker. He had a responsibility. Zack respected that.
They have two kids, by surrogate. Kristen of the dark rangers, actually, offered. They didn't talk to the five much, but knew them well enough, after everything. When she offered it was actually a surprise, but they were willing if she was. When they decided they wanted a second kid, she was still willing. They're half siblings. Cleo, aged 24, is Jason and Kristen's daughter. Valeria, aged 18, is Kristen and Zack's daughter. Through this they became better friends with Kristen as well and that was really nice, especially for Kristen.
Cleo's more dramatic and adventurous than her younger sister. She will try anything once, do anything once. The whole world's a stage and she's one of the leads. Not afraid to take life by the horns and ride for all it's worth. A little bit of a mean girl, especially to anyone who dares hurt her sister or sister's friends. Was a queen bee in high school. She designs outfits for athletes. Sportswear is a passion of hers. How to make it fashionable and nice to work out in. Everyone deserves to look their best. She, herself, has an almost boho goth mix as a style. it was a mistake to let her watch incredibles; Edna Mode is her hero and role model. is not associated with a color. However, she'd be Fuchsia if she did. Unusual, and wouldn't have it any other way.
Valeria is 18 and in awe of her family and their legacies. She feels like she won't be able to be able to match any of them, but is trying not to let that bother her. She's captain of a breakdancing team, and mixes it with hard shoe Irish step-dance, which she's been taking classes for since she was four. It's something new, something fun, something her, and while she doesn't see the value in it, Zack and Jason do. Cleo's first experimental skort (skirt/short combo) was for Valeria to better be able to mix both dance styles. It's sometimes difficult for the sisters to talk to each other or show affection, but when they do its usually through things made for the other for their hobbies. Valeria also likes doing basic build type things, such as building sewing machines or computers. She only does this for family, but Cleo loves the custom machine she got. So does uncle Adam.
Currently working at a pizzeria, the tips are good and she likes being able to think while in high stress situations. It's where she thrives. Valeria is not associated with a color. however if she was, it'd be coral or black.
Tommy Oliver;
Tommy is an airhead, and very hard to convince he’s being flirted with. Kimberly, for months, tried to flirt with her new teammate, and eventually moved on because it just didn’t connect in Tommy’s head. He misunderstood Zack trying to explain it to him as Zack flirting, which made a little bit of a mess, but once it was sorted out Kimberly was dating someone else, and Tommy and Zack realized they did like each other. So they started dating, although there was some hurt feelings between themselves and Kim for a long while. Unfortunately, shortly after they successfully adopted a four year old, Tommy disappeared.
Eighteen years later, Landon Taylor works at Promethea as a systems programmer intern. It’s the closest to Tommy and Zack’s old work that Landon can get. Zack doesn’t want him any closer, and Billy, now CEO of Promethea, takes care of his old friends’ son. Landon admires Promethea and power rangers immensely. He wants to help them by any means he possibly can, and he does so to the best of his ability.
Nothing has come of years of searching for Tommy, and vice president Zack Taylor has proposed several amendments to help protect the teenagers that become rangers. He knows better than to make it illegal for teens and young adults to be rangers like some propose, but he also knows there needs to be suitable protective safety nets just in case. He’s proud of Landon, who’s helping program these safety nets, and he’s proud of the current rangers.
Billy Cranston;
They adopted Minh together basically. But in an alternate reality they got married and have two adopted kids, Harlow, aged 19, Selena, aged 17, and one kid by surrogate, Dylan, aged 9.
Harlow was adopted by Zack and Billy when he was seven, and is the first kid they adopted. He and the senator bonded over a shared love of music, and breakdancing. He bonded with Billy a little bit later over Billy mentioning that like Harlow, he used to have a fear of fish and water, and it was fine feeling irrational fear. Harlow tries really hard to make both his dads proud. He's got a lot of pressure he puts on himself. He's a perfectionist. Everything has to be perfect all the time. Billy's the first to try to get him to see the beauty in sometimes things just...not...being...perfect, and it's okay if he's not immediately good at things. Tommy Oliver is his favorite honorary uncle, and is a huge help with how he feels and living in a family. Is the blue ranger, alongside Selena, who is the orange ranger (there is no pink on their team).
Dylan was born a couple years before Selena was adopted. rambunctious kid. Gives his dads a heart attack all the time. His mom was Aisha, and his dad was Billy. There were long talks about it, but it was actually decided by a coin flip because Aisha could see they were psyching themselves out, and were going to talk themselves out of a choice they very much wanted. So she took charge for them. They love Dylan, and Dylan loves his dads, and his brother, and his sister. He likes music and playing pirates. He's one of the smartest kids in his grade school class, but Billy and Zack want him to make friends, so he's not allowed to jump a year. He does get supplemental lessons by both of them, though, so he doesn't stop being curious. Not associated with a color.
Selena has a lot of self doubt about being in this family, and doesn't get why Billy and Zack keep going to bat for her. They go to bat for her because they see in her a lot of themselves, and a lot of Tommy. She's a cheerleader at their school, and does baby sitting as a side job. She struggles to feel worthy of being the orange ranger, but she likes her new brothers, and she likes her dads, and she likes being able to show some of how grateful she feels back to them.
In a small variation, Minh would come live with all three of them as their sister and yellow ranger.
Farkas Bulkmeier;
Zack realized he was crushing on Bulk when Bulk explained his plan to be homecoming king. Zack loved his tenacity and how genuinely excited Bulk actually was over this. Overhearing Marleau’s threat and Bulk backing down, Zack backed him, and got the rest of the rangers and their dates to back him, because Marleau might think she rules the school but she really didn’t.
He completely fell in love with him seeing him crowned homecoming king. However nothing happened in school, and they fell out of touch for several years. Later, they met again when Zack went to a bar with friends, and found the bartender and owner was a familiar face. Farkas was happy to see him, and Zack was extremely happy to see him. He stayed over that night, and then never left. They work well together and have two kids via genetic splicing courtesy of Billy and Aquitar technology. Brianna, aged thirteen, and Devin, aged ten.
Brianna goes to dance classes twice a week, is as friendly and strong in her sense of Justice as her dad Zack was when he was a teenager. He is so proud of her. Her sense of Justice is perhaps a little too strong, and Zack is watching his thirteen year old like a hawk. Power rangering is fine, but he is not letting his baby girl do it before she’s sixteen. Out of personal experience. She often has a group of kids around her, as a sort of social butterfly nexus; and their house is apparently the “safe house”. Polite, energetic, friendly, everyone’s her friend and she’s everyone else’s friend. Bulk and Zack have had to tell her more than once she needs to know her limits. Not associated with a color; but she’ll be silver the second she’s old enough.
Devin wants to go to Mirinoi when he’s grown up and explore everything there. He likes being everywhere, and doing things with his dads. Happy learning how to bake and cook, is fascinated by sewing and Bulk’s hand sewn jackets. Interested in his sister’s dance recital outfits and often borrows them to study. Bulk’s happy to help him in all his interests. Not associated with a color, but he’d be pink if old enough and chosen.
Eugene Skullovitch;
Zack's always tried to give Bulk and Skull the benefit of the doubt and never felt any true antagonistic feelings to them. Annoyance sure, but he doesn't hate them. Eugene took a while to warm up to Zack though, because nice doesn't mean trustworthy, and the two eventually started dating when Eugene realized no, Zack really is just that sweet. They run an ice cream parlor together and have two adopted kids. Achibald "Archie" Taylor and Marigold "Mari" Taylor.
Archie was adopted in his teens, and while this means he doesn't get to have as much time growing up with Zack and Skull as his dads, he's got the rest of his life with them as his parents, and that's the best thing he's ever heard. He was adopted out of the foster care system at thirteen, and is nineteen. He loves botany and magic tricks. Being a stage magician or professional botanist would be really really cool. He doesn't play piano or dance but he loves watching Zack and loves listening to Eugene practice at night. Is unsure what he wants to do with his life, but inheriting the ice cream parlor would be nice, if the botany or the stage magician thing doesn't work out. is not associated with a color.
Mari was adopted last year. She's fourteen and getting used to living with her brother and her dads. They're kinda weird, but she likes them. It is weird going to a new school in a new town, with a new last name. She doesn't really know what she likes, she's still figuring it out, but she knows she likes it here and that's good enough. She does miss her old friends and home a little, but she is making new friends. Zack and Eugene give her space and understanding, and Archie's been great with advice and settling in. not associated with a color.
Richie (last name unknown);
Richie was Zack's best friend, and while Zack was at first really interested in Trini, and then in Tommy, he and Zack eventually fell into a natural relationship. It was as simple as anything for them. It is a source of curiosity for when they actually started dating, it was so gradual. Even they aren't really sure. Tommy was chosen to go to the peace convention instead of Zack, and this certainly helped the budding relationship, especially when Tommy gave Richie Saba. Richie was a great ranger, and it was nice for Zack having him with him in battle. They flowed so naturally. While they've never gotten married, everyone agrees they're basically as good as. They've adopted two kids, and have a magic baby Zedd made, a clone that through the bumbling of Goldar and Squatt, was a perfect mix of both of them. They managed to get this teenager reverted to a child, and were just glad this happened in their 20's and not their teens. Their kids are Keller, aged 29, Coda, aged 17, and Ethel, aged 15.
Keller, while intended to be Richie's evil clone, ended up being a child when the dna of Zack and Richie got mixed. How it happened they're not entirely sure, just that Squatt was involved. He's certainly an odd mix of the two, but with their more negative traits more prominent. However, despite this, he was given help and support and love to be able to have a chance at a normal life. Richie named Squatt as his godfather as a joke, but when Squatt heard he took the position extremely seriously and reformed for Keller. Squatt’s been almost more helpful with raising someone like Keller, and Richie and Zack were definitely grateful for the help. He's currently going to school to be a councilor, with monster and power ranger related trauma as his primary focus. There's certainly a lot of people who would benefit from a therapist like him. He's definitely the oldest sibling with the personality and self expectations that entails, and is used to picking the younger two up and out of bad situations at the drop of a hat. not associated with a color though if he was it'd likely be white or pink
Coda's working at the juice bar, mainly saving up for a proper car instead of borrowing the family car whenever he needs to be somewhere. He likes living with his dads and siblings, and thinks Keller's one of the more interesting people to come out of power ranger stuff. Coda wants to be a journalist, and is interested in interviewing Colors themselves. Though only Saba has ever talked to him, and when he did Coda didn't learn much. He wants to be a power ranger specifically to get an interview with his color. A strange motivation, but it will pay off. He will eventually be a silver ranger.
Ethel's not very outgoing, and is extremely shy. She is actually Billy's daughter, but Billy and his partner died when she was very small, and Zack of course adopted her without a second thought. He blames himself for Billy's death and does his best to make it up to Ethel every day. She's shy, quiet, and rather small for her age. Thankfully she's not the target of bullies and is on the school's robotics team. Richie and Zack do worry for her, but she seems to be doing ok. she will be on a team with Coda in a few years as the blue ranger.
Justin (last name unknown);
Justin was the red ranger leader of the Dark team, and Jason's more dark counterpart. Zack didn't really like Jason at first, but he did respect his devotion to his friends. They were dark mirrors for a reason, after all. Once they saved them, Justin and Zack had several classes together and just got close from revolving each other's orbit for so long. Justin got a job as a janitor, Zack as a gym teacher, and they had one kid via a surrogate. Patricia, aged 11.
Patricia is into the concept of vaulting, and likes sports. Serious, dramatic, a huge collector of beetleborgs, and a fan of action movies. She's got a lot of energy, has decided she doesn't like the taste of meat and gone vegan (which has if anything given her even more strength boost). She knows her own mind and her own heart. Her loyalty is rock solid and so is her stubborness. not associated with a color though if she was it'd be violet.
Tina (last name unknown);
Zack was a candidate for the Dragon Coin, and while it was close; he won. Essentially, he and Tommy swapped places. He became Rita's champion, and Tommy took on mighty morphin Black. The whole team tried, but couldn't break Rita's hold on Zack. However; Zack didn't have loyalty to Rita, and when Zedd showed up Zack swapped sides. When he kept losing to the good rangers and later to their sixth, the white ranger Richie, Zack convinced Zedd he needed a team to help him. So, Zedd created the Dark Rangers out of the new group of bullies that had just showed up at the school. Zack settling in nicely as their sixth. Before he'd gone bad he'd been close to Trini, and when he met Tina they hit it off quickly. Together the Dark Team forced the mighty morphin group underground. Zack and Tina have been off and on for several years at this point, and they have a daughter. Suki, aged eleven.
Suki is a belligerant though intelligent child. If you tell her the sky is blue she'll say the sky is gold. Rita and Zedd made good with each other, and Selena is practically an older sister to Suki. They're basically villainous comedic duo, with the added problem of Suki and Selena being perfectly willing to pose as Trini's daughters for the sole purpose of drawing out the hidden mighty morphin. Thrax is actually on the ranger's side, here, a forgotten little brother of Selena and trying very hard to reign in his sister and the little girl who idolizes her. Suki wants to be just like her parents, and her parents are villains. But, she is eleven. Olivia, current mighty morphin black, is trying to gently convince Selena and Suki to go against their parents. It's been slow going. There's time, it's just frustrating.
Marleau Eskin;
Zack was the only one that ever managed to get through to Marleau, for any reason. He was nice, but nice has it's limits and sometimes the nicest thing you can do is just be a little mean. He made her question herself, got her tongue tied, self conscious, and suddenly she was chasing after him, in a completely different manner than she'd ever expressed interest in anyone before. They went to a dance school together, after high school, by complete coincidence. He for contemporary dance, her for classical. She avoided him for a year just because she didn't know what to do with how he made her feel. They finally got stuck in a class as partners for a project together and had a very long conversation about many things, past and present and beyond. Things progressed got serious, and she got pregnant. Her parents had hoped she'd marry someone better than a professional dance choreographer for hollywood musicals, and disinherited her when she eloped. She runs a dance studio and he works for mucical movies as a dance choreographer. They have one daughter, Priscilla, aged 14.
She has two left feet, which is a running joke in the family. Instead she's kind of a brilliant budding politician. When she's old enough she wants to run for class president. Very friendly, very good at problem solving and defusing situations, she's popular and open minded. She wants to be the youngest governor in their state, and she's got the temerity to actually make it happen.
