Isaiah 40:28-31 (NLT). [28] “Have you never heard? Have you never understood? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of all the earth. He never grows weak or weary. No one can measure the depths of his understanding. [29] He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless. [30] Even youths will become weak and tired, and young men will fall in exhaustion. [31] But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.”

“Exhaustion is a by-product of overcommitted schedules and endless responsibilities. That’s not what our Father wants for us. He offers a radically different mode of living and gives His followers renewed strength.

Those who wait on the Lord are promised His supernatural energy. In fact, Scripture says it will surpass the natural strength and endurance of the young (Isa. 40:29-30). Contrary to what we might think, access to this power is achieved not by moving faster but by going slower—taking the time to focus on God, seek His direction, and ask for His strength to accomplish what He’s calling us to do. There is no earthly explanation for what God is willing and able to achieve in and through a yielded human being. His Holy Spirit is like a powerful and refreshing gust of wind that enables us to soar like eagles (Psalm 103:5).

The next time you are at the point of exhaustion, take some time to focus on the Lord. Are you in step with Him, or have you gone ahead on your own? Align your pace with His, taking the time to rest when He wants you to, and receive the energy He freely offers to those who walk obediently in His will.”

A Light to lighten the Gentiles

25 Now there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon, and this man was righteous and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was upon him. 26 And it had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not see death before he had seen the Lord's Christ. 27 And he came in the Spirit into the temple, and when the parents brought in the child Jesus, to do for him according to the custom of the Law, 28 he took him up in his arms and blessed God and said,

29 “Lord, now you are letting your servant depart in peace, according to your word; 30 for my eyes have seen your salvation 31 that you have prepared in the presence of all peoples, 32 a light for revelation to the Gentiles, and for glory to your people Israel.”

33 And his father and his mother marveled at what was said about him. 34 And Simeon blessed them and said to Mary his mother, “Behold, this child is appointed for the fall and rising of many in Israel, and for a sign that is opposed 35 (and a sword will pierce through your own soul also), so that thoughts from many hearts may be revealed.”

36 And there was a prophetess, Anna, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Asher. She was advanced in years, having lived with her husband seven years from when she was a virgin, 37 and then as a widow until she was eighty-four. She did not depart from the temple, worshiping with fasting and prayer night and day. 38 And coming up at that very hour she began to give thanks to God and to speak of him to all who were waiting for the redemption of Jerusalem.

A LETTER FROM YOUR HEAVENLY FATHER! The following words come from the heart of God. After all God loves you, and He is the Father you have been looking for all your life. This is His Love Letter to you! My Dear Child, You may not know me, but I know everything about you. (Ps 139:1) I know when you sit down and when you rise up. (Psalm 139:2) I am familiar with all your ways. (Psalm 139:3) Even the very hairs on your head are numbered. (Matthew 10:29-30) For you were made in my image. (Genesis 1:27) In me, you live and move and have your being. For you are my offspring. (Acts 17:28) I knew you even before you were conceived. (Jeremiah 1:4-5) I chose you when I planned the creation. (Ephesians 1:11-12) You were not a mistake, for all your days are written in my book. (Psalm 139:15-16) I determined the exact time of your birth and where you would live. (Acts 17:26) You are fearfully and wonderfully made. (Psalm 139:14) I knit you together in your mother’s womb. (Psalm 34:18) As a shepherd carries a lamb, I have carried you close to my heart. (Isaiah 40:11) One day I will wipe away every tear from your eyes. And I will take away all the pain you have suffered on this earth. Revelation 21:3-4) I am your Father, and I love you even as I love my son, Jesus. (John 17:23) For in Jesus, my love for you is revealed. (John 17:26) And to tell you that I am not counting your sins. Jesus died so that you and I could be reconciled. (2 Corinthians 5;18-19) His death was the ultimate expression of my love for you. (I John 4:10) I gave up everything I loved so that I might gain your love. (Romans 8:31-32) If you receive the gift of my son Jesus, you receive me. (I John 2:23) And nothing will ever separate you from my love again. (Romans 8:38-29) When it’s time for you to Come home I’ll throw the biggest party heaven has ever seen. (Luke 15:7) I have always been your Father, and will always be your Father. • The text of this teaching talked about the greatness and the awesomeness of God.

- God never grows faint or weary. And no one can measure the depths of His wisdom and understanding.

- This God gives power to those who are tired and worn out. And He offers strength to the weak.

- There is no limit to God's greatness. He is powerful, bigger and greater than all things.

- Strength, power, might, authority, and dominion belong to Him. God cannot be compared with any. He is too much!

- No matter the strength of any human, God's surpasses it. Humans' strength can be exhausted, but the strength of God cannot. Thus, believers in Christ would need God's strength to succeed on the earth:

30 EVEN YOUTHS WILL BECOME WEAK AND TIRED, AND YOUNG MEN will FALL IN EXHAUSTION. 31 BUT THOSE WHO TRUST IN THE LORD WILL FIND NEW STRENGTH. THEY WILL SOAR HIGH ON WINGS LIKE EAGLES. THEY WILL RUN AND NOT GROW WEARY. THEY WILL WALK AND NOT FAINT" (Isaiah 40:30,31 (NLT).

- Eagles are symbol of strength and power. God gives strength to soar, to those who trust and depend on Him.

- Humans' strength can be exhausted. And trusting in a human can be disappointing or frustrating: "GIVE US HELP FROM TROUBLE, FOR THE HELP OF MAN IS USELESS" (Psalm 60:11 NKJV).

12 OH, please help us against our enemies, FOR ALL HUMAN HELP IS USELESS.

13 WITH GOD'S HELP WE WILL DO MIGHTY THINGS, FOR HE WILL TRAMPLE DOWN OUR FOES."

Psalm 108:12,13 (NLT)

• God gives power to those who are worn out and tired. He offers strength to the weak.

- Because humans are limited in space, time, understanding, and other spheres of life, thus, a trust in man could be frustrating: "STOP TRUSTING IN MERE HUMANS, WHO HAVE BUT A BREATH IN THEIR NOSTRILS. WHY HOLD THEM IN YOUR ESTEEM? (Isaiah 2:22 NIV).

- Power belongs to God alone, because He changes not. Whoever maybe in any position of power today might not be there tomorrow, because power is transient. However God is the same, He changes not:

"AND LIKE A ROBE YOU WILL ROLL THEM [the heavens] UP; LIKE A GARMENT THEY WILL BE CHANGED. BUT YOU ARE THE SAME [forever], AND YOUR YEARS WILL NEVER END" (Hebrews 1:12 Amps.).

- Strength belongs to God. Human strength would fail. Trusting in the physical strength is frustrating and disappointing as earlier said.

- Whoever is discouraged; wearied or tired, about the heavenly race, would receive strength and the power to continue (Isaiah 40:31).

- Do not give up. Do not sell your birthright (Hebrews 12:16). There is hope for you. Take your matter to God in prayers.

- Even the youth would be exhausted. Youths always trust in their strength, and It usually fails. By strength shall no person prevail (1 Samuel 2:9).

- If you had depended on your strength, wisdom, knowledge, and understanding, but met with disappointments; you would have to take the matter to God and let Him have His way on it.

• There is no measure to God's understanding. Whatever you are passing through is known to God, and He can handle it If you give it to Him—If you allowed Him to fix it.

- God is greater than All things, including those things that look like mountains before you.

- Those who wait on God will find new strength. If you waited on Him, He would surely help you. There is no help in the self, but in Him alone.

• Whatever the situation, waiting on God would give helps and directions in settling the issues before you.

- What does waiting on God means?

I. It is about being patience with God in whatever situation of your life. Seeking Him, looking onto Him, to know what to do in every situation and circumstance of life.

II. It is about giving God a chance to operate or work on the matters of your life. By submitting to Him unwaveringly, and cooperating with Him, in all matters of your life.

a. You wait on God in the study of His Word, the Bible, and that enhances your prayer life.

b. The waiting is also done through fellowship or communion with Him.

c. You converse with Him. Initiate discussions to know His mind on whatever the matter at hand.

• You will not fail in Jesus' name.

- Should there be any ailment in your body, receive your healing now in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

- Whatever is contrary to your health is cursed and uprooted totally in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

IF you are yet to take the step of salvation, that is, yet to be born-again, do it now, tomorrow might be too late (2 Corinthians 6:1,2; Hebrews 3:7,8,15).

a. Acknowledge that you are a sinner and confess your Sins (1 John 1:9); And ask Jesus Christ to come into your life (Revelation 3:20).

b. Confess that you believe in your heart that Jesus Christ is Lord, and that you confess it with your mouth, Thus, you accept Him As your Lord and Saviour (Romans 10:9,10).

c. Ask that your name be written in the Book of Life (Philippians 4:3; Revelation 3:8).

- If you took the steps As highlighted above, It means you are saved—born-again. Join a Word based church in your area and Town or city, and be part of whatever they are doing there. Peace!

the picture of the old woman with a cane

Some time ago, while praying, a picture came to my mind of an old woman, weak and decrepit, leaning on a cane for support. She limped along, managing to press on little by little, but with great difficulty. Then a man, Jesus, stepped forward. His presence immediately flooded the space around them both with the warm light. She looked up and, recognizing him, broke into a smile that shone of delight and relief. She dropped her cane and leapt into his arms. As soon as Jesus embraced her, the woman became young. Her back straightened, her wrinkles disappeared. The vitality in her body and face revived. Although I cannot say for certain this picture came from God, I think it does illustrate something important that can be supported by Scripture. All of us were created by God in his image. We were created to be in relationship and fellowship with Him. If we are not walking with God—if we are relying on something else to help us stay upright, to keep pushing forward—then we will not get very far, and eventually whatever that 'something else' is will fail us. Like the old woman’s cane, it’ll crack and rot. It cannot hold up forever. Only God, who always is and will be, and who is the ultimate source of goodness and love, can grant us the strength that endures, that can hold us up through the uncertainties and trials of life.

Only by trusting in Jesus and following him can we find true hope, purpose, and fulfillment. No amount of money or validation or success will ever feel like enough. But the salvation offered to us through faith in Jesus is enough. Jesus is always ready to welcome you into his arms, for in him is life, and life in abundance.

RECEIVING IMPARTATION OF RENEWED VISION

No matter how good our intentions may be today, in a short time, we will become tired, discouraged, and worn down. Then we will begin to doubt everything that we had been enthusiastic about.

"But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint."  - Isaiah 40:31

Our devotional life is not just something that we should do because we understand that we should spend time with the Lord.  Rather, it is much more than this. It includes not only fellowship and communion with Him, but also the impartation of renewed vision regarding our calling in Christ and spiritual strength within us.

As we wait in His presence, we may not see or feel all that is taking place, but as we continue to pursue his PURPOSE for our life and "press toward the mark for the prize of His high calling," we will gradually become aware that we have made much spiritual progress.

Do not let the enemy rob you; instead, come to this singleness of vision.
