You know what irks me the most about the mha ending. (Sorry I'm still on it.)

Like the early parts of the manga, there were so many grown up hero AUs in fandom (like storylines that took place when they're adults and heroes) and they're fun! A little silly!

And then we had the war arc and cities are being destroyed and everything's torn up and for over a hundred chapters, it's been oh huh I guess every AU like that will just be canon divergence lmao

And then Horikoshi basically wipes the slate clean so I guess all those AUs could technically canon compliant. There's not even much in the way of lasting physical damage! Because it's dealt with???? Immediately???? Within months?????

Which is fine! Nothing wrong with it! The AUs are fun! But, it just irks me that you could throw out half the manga because it didn't matter. Nothing majorly changed. Silly adult hero AUs for everyone I guess because the League may as well have been 2 bit villains for all the effect they had at large was. Idk. Maybe I'm bitter? Maybe my brain still trying to process the ending and the change in how AUs relate to canon? I guess - what was all the constant sprinkling in of "society has let people down" that we see from chapter 1? It meant nothing? I guess????? I mean A WAR HAPPENED. But whatever I guess heehee wasn't that soooooo silly???? That people's take on early story can be the same as post story?????

#pokemon rejuvenation #oc bracket #mona #mona's first run #art #this has been sitting in my files since may and ive slowly chipped at it till now. my god.#im like. half happy with it. i enjoyed making it and put a lot of thought. however.#the passage of time. i loathed not finishing this sooner.#god its hard writing mona's dialogue. the main takeaway relies on how they face the After when paragon is complete. this is given that #everyone lives including Ren.#and the general unanswered question if they remain as the interceptor after xenpurgis. or if they're left to live. is the world still #dictated by Karma? who knows! i don't know shit! so their dialogue was made with that in question.#i want to give mona an eventual talking style. i have it in my head but writing it doesn't come out right.#this dialogue was a while ago but somewhat still accurate so i kept it for the most part.#a lot of internal thinking in them. thats smth huge i put down for them. rabbit heart rabbit brain #goes a mile a minute. craves the day where they don't have to worry about running. etc.#i hope to get dialogue down. someday.#anyways. i love the shenanigans i put down here.#the lost camp kids are not the same ones in canon i added new ones for funsies.#and mona's crush is not. rlly shown. but it is present. i like to think the obvious point for them crushing isn't rlly nervousness #but loosening up a lot more. especially facial expressions.#and renmona goes out on a shopping trip. i hope i added character to make mona unique... im v worried about that. enough of that though #anyways. had many breakdowns. suffered many art blocks. bon appetite.

#oc: liah #thinking abt them on this fine monday evening. also im back home from hospital again yay #anyway revan & alek/malak's relationship... it's something i need to study under a microscope #to me liah and alek r like theeee toxic worsties... always trying to one up each other... but also idk like #they make a perfect team they know each other so well. they hate each other they dont trust each other at all #no one understands them the way they understand each other!!!!#like they used to be actually genuinely good & supportive friends right?????? but there was always a teeny bit of rivalry #they were both so ambitious. and proud. and then the uhhh mandalorian wars began and so did their descent to the dark side...#and at first it's like... they're still besties... but gradually their relationship becomes a power struggle...#like the tension that always was there but only surfaced as playful banter or during sparring becomes full-blown hatred. and its nastyyy #and like on the surface they keep things professional and cooperative. however all the warmth of their friendship is gone #and beneath the surface they're like playing 5D chess #malak plotting his betrayal... liah trying to stay one step ahead and ensure that malak stays as number two...#and like??? maybe alek always knew he was second to liah... but back then he was ok with it...#but then the dark side took this feeling of inferiority and turned it into spiteful jealousy...#and maybe liah always knew she was the stronger jedi... and the dark side fed her pride and she grew obsessed with keeping it this way...#i still havent finished kotor btw. so this is all based on the vibes i've gathered so far... with my own embellishments.. etc #also the other day i learned that alek/malak is canonically 2 meters tall #and i lowkey wanna make liah shorter. to make the difference bigger #short queen and her tall sidekick (reluctant)... a fun juxtaposition...#but also i like 178 cm liah. hm #maybe if i make her like 173. still tallish but also noticeably shorter than the 2 meter guy standing menacingly behind her #anyway i need to listen to absolution again. u dont understand. it's The revan/malak/kotor album!!!!#i associate it with revan and kotor so strongly i can't think abt them without one of the songs starting to play in my head!!!!

Something really funny that's occurred to me is the way Joe talks about Maccie is like she's some catastrophic event that happened to their family "I can't believe she's been here that long." / "Everything's been different since she was born" / "Everything changed." / "She changed everything."

And it's just rlly funny to me. I want to up the dramaticness of his words at some point. And anyway, he's talking to the Samurai/Ronin for the first time and I'm wondering the impression he's getting lmao

Joe is certainly expressive to me, but only when he's given the chance. And I think w Ronin, he just started letting a lot of stuff out bc thus guy is gonna go on his way anyways.. but then he's like wait!!! Actually let me go?? For a little? (Platonic yearning so bad)
