Is the post you made about burr about historical burr or musical? Because if you’re talking about historical then it’s completely biased lmfao. You’re reading Ron chernow so I’m not really surprised you have that opinion but Hamilton was completely in the wrong for his treatment of burr historically.
Disregarding the fact jefferson was one of the most prolific slave owners of the 18th century, and the fact Hamilton advocated for runaway slaves who escaped to Britain to be returned to their US masters and that he bought slaves for his brother-in-law, Burr treated his household slaves very well in comparison to his contemporaries and insisted they receive an education.
The point that he didn’t have an opinion on anything was something false that Hamilton and other federalists used in order to promote their own narrative and careers. Burr had clear and concrete ideals, evident from the way he voted in elections and what he promoted. He did not however clearly associate with a single party which made people think he wasn’t trustworthy and was very flaky which just isn’t true lol.
And what secrets are you even referring to? Is it the manhattan well company or what?
You are just regurgitating 18th and 19th century slander lmfaoo
damn thats a long ask, but let me get into this.
so it was sort of talking about both, i was listening tp the song and found the lyric funny, but it applies to history too.
theres several parts to this, and you got my curiousity spiked so i looked into this:
- 'Early in his political career, Burr also introduced a bill for the abolition of slavery to the New York state legislature; the bill was voted down. However, Burr was a slaveholder for most of his adult life. His parents, grandparents, and wife Theodosia Prevost were also slaveholders. While surviving records are scarce, it appears that Burr often bought and sold enslaved people as his finances rose and fell; the few named individuals seldom appear more than a handful of times in his papers. On the night before his duel with Hamilton, he put his affairs into order in the event that he did not survive. Instead of freeing the enslaved people in his household, he left them to his daughter Theodosia in South Carolina, where they likely would have been sold. So while he was outwardly a manumissionist, he never backed up his words with any actions.'
(roughly paraphrasing from a text)
- as fpr hwo he treated his slaves, i loojed and couldnt find any info about it, can you send me your source?
-now, for the thought that he didnt have an opinion, i will admit i mispoke. what i meant to say that yes, while he had opinions, however loojing at all he wrote he does seem very selfish, doing whatever benefited him the best. i understand why he didnt choose, seeming to only become democratic republican when he saw an oppertunity out of it. even if he did have his own opinipns, it doesnt seem that way to me, or clearly alexander hamilton.
-alexander also did nothing wrong by choosing jefferson over burr, it was a personal choice, he did what he thought was right, you cant bash him for it, esprcially with burr stealing his Father-in-laws seat. he chose wjo he thought would be better for america
-burr was a pretty secretive person overall, but i didnt know about the manhattan well company. however he had a whole secret colored family with a slave from india, and knwoing how slavery was, thers a good chance she didnt havr a choice about it, which might (MIGHT) have been SA or rape. now, this is a small chance, but still, plus having an rntire colored family is quite a secret. then theres also the whole burr conspiracy, and so many others succh things which show burr had so many secrets. clearly, he was a hypocrite, denouncing one thing and doing the same thing in secret. so yea, he had secrets.
also, damn u actually scanned my posts to find what im reading? read it, its good trust me. and, if youre so concerned in what im reading, can i reccomend you a book? its called infinity alchemist and its by kacen callender and the protagonist is a bly named ashen woods eho is chaotic and ramsay thorne is the best fucking character and no its not related but still!!!
(also ps to those who hate on burr, remember he was a real person, and dont make assumptions, he had a gpod sife too, he was a feminist (tho he might have been another one of those male feminists who claim to be so but just gave a tendancy to SA women (neil gaimon)) but he could have actually been a good one idk this is history)
#this post is a mess#amrev#alexander hamilton#hamilton#infinity alchemist#ramsay thorne#ashen woods#what is this#historical hamilton#aaron burr#thomas jefferson

My initial is A, he/him.
I am from Mumbai, India
My D.O.B is 01st August 2004
Time of birth : 01:37 pm IST
I would like to know about my future spouse.
Thanks
Hi😊 For your reading I am going to use mostly vedic astrology.
In D1 chart aquarius saturn is transiting your 5th house (dating/hobbies/creativity) aspecting your 7th lord mars in leo 11th house (jupiter + mercury) by 7th aspect indicating that you might meet your future spouse or longterm partner this year, but there could be a certain delay or obstacles when it comes to dating and creativity. You might meet this person online, through friends/groups, social networks. This gives me slow burn/serious romance, friends to lovers or online dating. Actually the delay could potentially be that your partner comes from a different background(wealthier than you or have different values or the need to build stability for example) with mars being 2nd lord or you can become friends online and then later meet in person to have a romantic relationship.
With taurus jupiter transiting 8th house aspecting all these placements above it brings abundance, support and optimism helping you guys meet sooner and overcome obstacles in the relationship , mitigate misunderstandings, share interests/goals and values, communicating openly about your feelings fears/traumas, healing, transformation, etc.
MOON CHART (considering moon as rising)
Taurus jupiter is transiting your taurus 5th house bringing abundance in romance/dating/hobbies/creativity/finances/stability/selfworth.
D9 CHART
In your D9 chart Jupiter in taurus is transiting 12th house saturn aspecting 7th lord scorpio jupiter(10th lord) conjunct sun indicating that your future spouse might be meeting you this year. This meeting might be fated/karmic (soulmate), you might meet each other through dreams, foreign lands, spirituality or in a transformative/healing time. You might grow and work together in service oriented projects, support each other, overcome obstacles related to work, past traumas, daily routine, physical and mental health, etc.
With aquarius saturn transit in 9th house aspecting leo moon in 3rd house and all these placements above this confirms long distance relationship and possibly meeting through higher education or in a foreign country. Your future spouse might be facing challenges related to higher education, travel, learning, communication, emotions, authority figures, mother, siblings, family. You guys might have communication issues, one of you might not open up or know how to express their feelings. (Delays in developing a relationship)
Pisces/virgo rahu/ketu is transiting your 10th/4th house axis so your future spouse might be focusing on her career, trying to balance his personal life with professional life, could be changing jobs or rethinking about his responsibilities, etc.
DASHA/TIME PERIODS
You are currently running rahu-venus dasha from 2022 till 2025 which is great for marriage/meeting spouse (rahu is in your 7th house and venus -> love + significator of spouse for men).
(You actually went through rahu-venus-mars dasha from 19 november 2023 till 22 january 2024; Have you met someone back then? Mars is your 7th lord and Darakaraka -> spouse ).
Right now you are running rahu-venus-jupiter dasha till 28 november 2024 which is a good chance as well to meet your longterm partner (jupiter ->marriage and is conjunct your mars).
You also have good chances next year 2025 specially during rahu-venus-mercury dasha from 19 may till 22 october, mercury is conjunct your mars; gemini jupiter transit in may will be affecting your gemini venus and saturn activating longterm romantic relationships/marriage; Cancer jupiter transit in october will be influencing 7th house from moon chart👀 (you might also gain a lot of success/recognition in your career cause you sun in cancer 10th house in d1 chart)
If you want to know specific time periods(dashas pictures) or more you can DM me.

Searching for the Best Business School in Kolkata? Here’s What You Need to Know!
Finding the best business school in Kolkata that fits perfectly with your career objectives is critical. The right choice of business school is highly instrumental in maneuvering your career prospects to a great extent. That being stated, exploring every option may be both exhilarating and intimidating.
Whether your priority is academic excellence, industrial ties, or specialization programmes, finding the right match is the key. So, to help you streamline your search and make an educated choice, here is an in-depth checklist highlighting crucial elements to consider when choosing a premier business school in Kolkata. This guide will provide you with the knowledge you need to decide wisely when to accept offers from the business schools in Kolkata that you have shortlisted.
Best Business Schools in Kolkata: Highlights
Kolkata has a rich tradition of education, having nurtured numerous scholars who have excelled in fields ranging from arts and science to technology and business. When it comes to management education, Kolkata is home to two of the nation's most prestigious business schools: IISWBM, the country's first Management Institute, which was formed on April 25, 1953, and IIM Calcutta, India’s pioneering IIM, which was created on November 28, 1961.
In addition to these classic business schools, Kolkata has seen the rise of several modern institutions. The capital city of West Bengal, which has more than 150 business schools, including public and private, draws students from all across the nation by offering them a stimulating diverse atmosphere for learning.
Most national management admission examinations, like as the CAT, MAT, XAT, and CMAT, are recognized in Kolkata's business schools. To apply to any business school in the city, one must have a graduate degree with at least 50% aggregate marks and a valid score in any management admission test. For executive programmes, institutions frequently need confirmed proof of at least 3-5 years of job experience.
Things You Need to Know While Searching for the Best B-Schools In Kolkata
Does the business school offer AICTE-approved courses? Will I get proper placement opportunities after the course completion? Who are the alumni of this business school? What specializations are offered by the MBA colleges in Kolkata? What are the course fees?
When deciding which business schools to pursue an MBA or PGDM programme, questions like the ones above are certain to arise. These questions emphasize the relevance of an array of factors in choosing the right business school.
As there is no dearth of good business schools in Kolkata, navigating through them to choose the best one could be daunting. Feeling confused? Don’t be, as we've got you covered when it comes to finding the top business schools in West Bengal's capital.
What Programmes are Being Offered?
First thing first- what programmes a business school offers is something that every management aspirant should ask and research to know. For instance, IIMC is popular for offering an MBA in Finance. Similarly, IIFT Kolkata offers a flagship MBA programme in International Business.
Once prospective institutions have been found, it is advisable to thoroughly investigate the curriculum for the programme. Evaluating reviews on the programme(s) from both former and current students might also yield insightful information.
Following these steps simplifies the process of selecting the most suitable business school in Kolkata based on the courses available.
Am I Eligible?
Once the prospective business schools are shortlisted, the next step is to check the minimum eligibility criteria.
This is significant because, while some specifications are common in most business schools, others may vary from one institution to another. In addition, the minimal cut-off % in management entry tests varies in most business schools. Furthermore, not all business schools accept scores from all management entrance tests. For example, admission to IISWBM needs a valid CAT score, whereas Globsyn Business School allows valid CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT/ATMA results. Furthermore, some business schools may need an additional admission exam, followed by a group discussion and a personal interview.
Therefore, before making a decision, confirm that you meet the qualifying criteria and are prepared for any further admission requirements that may be required.
What Is the Reputation?
You checked the eligibility criteria and shortlisted your favorite business school but what about their reputation?
The reputation of a business school is critical for counting it among the best. A high reputation promises high-quality education, outstanding campus amenities, competent teachers, strong industrial links, and much more. Most significantly, a highly reputable institution is known for generating high-quality graduates, making it a reliable choice for employers and the industry.
What About the Industry Connections?
Industry ties are critical in developing a curriculum that meets current industry requirements. Collaboration with experts from diverse industries allows for the development of up-to-date courses that reflect the most recent trends and developments.
Furthermore, these connections are extremely useful during summer internships, which allow students to gain practical experience in real-world settings. Similarly, collaborations with respected organizations increase the probability of being placed in coveted roles with competitive pay packages.
How Are the Placement Opportunities?
Campus placements are critical in preparing students to enter the corporate world. Hence, prominent business schools in Kolkata typically have stellar placement records. They prepare students not just for college placement, but also for future careers. So, when assessing potential business schools to apply to, prioritize those that are recognized for generating career-ready graduates who are placed at top companies.
Who Are the Alumni?
When you browse the websites of renowned business schools in Kolkata, you will come across profiles of prominent people who have excelled in their respective fields, as a part of the alumni network. These institutions boast robust and influential alumni networks, which demonstrate the quality of education they offer. As a result, while selecting a business school, it is critical to examine the achievements of its graduates and the quality of its alumni network.
Remember that a strong alumni network may help in multiple ways, including aiding with internships, offering guidance and mentoring, helping with placement (both on and off campus), assisting with the upskilling process, and so on.
Is There Any Student Support Cell?
A student support cell is critical to improving students' overall experiences at business school. Not every business school in Kolkata has an active student support unit. So, seek this feature separately while researching the city's top business schools.
A strong student support cell usually assists students in the following ways:
Academic counseling
Academic guidance
Career counseling
Helping in career planning, resume building, interview preparation, and job placement
Offer workshops and training sessions to develop soft skills
Organize social events to foster engagement among students, etc.
What Are the Course Fees?
It is critical to carefully evaluate the tuition expenses. Management courses can cost anything from Rs 50,000 to Rs 25,00,000. Therefore, it's important to review the fees to ensure they align with your budget. Additionally, choosing a business school that offers scholarships or educational loans could help reduce monetary strain.
How Are the Faculty?
Finally, consider the faculty. Assessing the faculty of business schools is critical since they are responsible for delivering high-quality education to students. Faculty members have the potential to make lessons engaging or boring. Furthermore, they serve an important role in guiding students throughout their college years and preparing them for the challenges of the professional world.
The Bottomline
To summarize, the aforementioned are important factors to consider when investigating the top business schools in Kolkata. However, the list may be expanded based on your specific priorities and career aspirations. To make an informed selection, carry out as much in-depth research as possible on business schools.

my undergraduate journey: from the faculty of math, to becoming a multi-award-winning poet
becoming an alum, and reflecting on the situation in Gaza
This summer, I finally became an alum of the University of Waterloo. Looking back at the long and winding path it took to get me here, it’s interesting to see how things fell into place. I recall, the seemingly never-ending slurry of coursework that demanded so much time and attention. The late nights I would stay up attempting to complete assignments in the early hours of the morning. I remember the quiet lull of those weeks after the end of the final-exam period. I remember the nights when things didn’t seem like they would work out. When they still did. And when they didn’t. And how all of it somehow lead me, twice, to the Department of English Language and Literature Awards.
When I first set out to write this article for mathNEWS, I wanted to write about my journey as an undergraduate student, that started out in the honours math program, and the circumstances that lead me, like many, to transfer out of the Faculty of Math altogether.
Teachers and family members had high expectations of me. I think they thought I’d be making bank in finance or something of the like by now. Instead, I’ve become a poet. I reflect on these unfulfilled expectations, and the potential I had, that I chose to let go of, in order to pursue the path I’m on right now.
People warned me that I’d probably struggle to find employment without a STEM degree, especially as a person existing at the intersection of several marginalized communities. I knew I didn’t belong in Math, so when I decided to leave, I also committed myself to the pursuit of excellence. Academic achievement felt like a form of survival. I reflect on the obstacles I face now, emerging as a new grad in the midst of this tumultuous economy.
Sometimes my friends ask me what it feels like, having had my creative work recognized with awards. More than anything, the experience highlighted for me what was missing. Winning these awards, for me, was kind of like high school graduation. It’s another line to add to my resume. I know it might put me ahead a little bit, but none of my everyday problems have really been resolved. The glamour of the awards paled quickly. All that was left were the same everyday problems as I had before. My family, still fragmented, and myself, still lacking in many areas.
I never really intended to become a good poet, or even to improve on what skills I naturally possessed. I turned to writing because it gave me a space to discuss the problems I didn’t feel like I had the space to discuss otherwise. I turned to writing because I felt lonely, and I needed a healthy distraction. I enjoyed writing workshops, because amongst strangers, it was a space where I could just exist, unburdened by the past, or the future.
I have a hard time writing about these accomplishments now; I feel compelled to write about the students in Gaza. The students who will never graduate. The students whose universities have been destroyed, and the many students who have died. The artists, and the engineers. I think of the potential that is lost with civilians who die in war, and those who live on with less opportunities available for their flourishing.
I think about the Gaza House encampment, and encampments at other Canadian universities. The students who put their careers on the line, and put parts of their lives on hold, to speak out against war crimes, and advocate for those who cannot be heard. Those who are under the rubble. I can’t bring myself to further discuss my achievements while the situation in Gaza continues to escalate. I ask, why am I the one that gets to achieve? Right now, the opportunity to achieve is privilege in itself.
I think about my grandmother, with her limited literacy, who survived the Great Partition of India. My grandmother who never received a formal education and lives to see her children and grandchildren go on to become doctors, accountants, software engineers, and poets.
I think of the Palestinian olive trees. How it can take them years to grow before they start bearing fruit. I think of the olive trees that have been violently uprooted under the occupation, and the Al Badawi tree, a Palestinian olive tree that is estimated to be over two thousand years old.
Then I think of the longest night of the year, and the cold winter seasons, how the Al Badawi tree has lived through those long nights and seasonal shifts, into and out of cold and darkness, at least two thousand times.
When civilians die in war, especially children, they are robbed, not only of the opportunity to see what the world has to offer, but the ability to be a part of something larger than themselves. A family. A community. I am not Palestinian, I cannot speak for people in Gaza, but I still think about how I can serve them. As a creative, much of my work is deeply personal, but I believe that creatives have a duty to serve their communities, by creating and holding space for others when they need it. A space to just feel, and be in community with others.
Do you need space to talk about what’s going on in Palestine? I invite you to continue the conversation with me in the comments below.
Warmly,
I. S. Bashirah

In the ever-evolving landscape of technology, choosing the right career path is pivotal to your professional growth and overall success. Among the myriad of options available, DevOps stands out as an exceptional choice not only in India but across the globe. The term "DevOps" itself is a fusion of "Development" and "Operations," and it represents more than just a job or a skill set; it encapsulates a comprehensive set of practices and cultural philosophies aimed at enhancing collaboration and communication between software development teams and IT professionals. This methodology has gained immense popularity in the software industry, and for good reason – it possesses the transformative power to improve efficiency, streamline processes, and expedite software delivery.
High Demand in India
India, with its burgeoning tech industry, is no exception to the DevOps revolution. DevOps professionals are in high demand in the country, driven by the increasing recognition of the need for efficient software delivery and the adoption of continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. This surge in demand spans across a wide spectrum, from startups that are rapidly scaling up to established enterprises seeking to stay competitive in a dynamic market.
Lucrative Salaries
One of the most enticing aspects of pursuing a DevOps career is the financial reward it offers. DevOps practitioners frequently enjoy competitive salaries, and as their experience grows, so do their earnings. This financial stability is a key factor in making DevOps an attractive career choice in India.
Versatility Across Industries

Continuous Learning
DevOps is not a stagnant field but a continually evolving one. To remain relevant and competitive, DevOps professionals must commit to lifelong learning. The field is characterized by its dynamism, with new tools, practices, and technologies emerging regularly. This culture of continuous learning ensures that your skills stay in demand, keeping you at the forefront of the industry.
Efficiency and Automation
Efficiency and automation are at the heart of DevOps. The methodology places a strong emphasis on optimizing and automating repetitive tasks, which not only reduces the risk of manual errors but also accelerates the delivery of software. This enhanced efficiency leads to quicker release cycles and improved product quality, a win-win scenario for both businesses and professionals.
Collaboration and Communication
Collaboration and communication are integral components of DevOps. It shatters traditional organizational silos, promoting seamless interaction among previously isolated teams, such as developers, operations, and quality assurance. The result is a harmonious workflow where software development aligns seamlessly with the objectives of the business. This spirit of teamwork and cooperation is an invaluable asset in any workplace.
Career Growth
As your career in DevOps progresses, you'll discover a world of possibilities. DevOps professionals often find themselves on a path to leadership positions. With experience, you can transition into roles such as DevOps manager, architect, or consultant. This career growth potential is a testament to the promising future DevOps offers.

Hello (from a fellow Indian)! Hope this ask finds you in good health.
I would like to ask for some advice or insights on a situation. I'm currently pursuing Computer Engineering and I wish to do MBA in the future. So, there are a couple of options for me to do mba:
1. In India, immediately after engineering
2. In India, after 2-3 years of work experience
3. Abroad, after 5 years of experience
4. First do an masters in management, and then a mba
Also, I'm not very interested in my current field (and I also doubt my abilities as a good computer engineer) and would like to change my career path but I do wanna assess the entire thing and weight the pros and cons regarding the different options/timelines.
I know I should do proper planning and use discretion (which I most definitely will) but I also wanna see what the universe has to say. I am open to any sort of career advice they wish to give.
My initials are A.P. I like reading and drawing/colouring (tho I haven't done in a long time). I'm a kind of a laid back person and I do like my solitude (more intraverted than extraverted). I'm a huge foodie and I love cheesecake (especially the ones topped with blueberry sauce or strawberry sauce).
Thank you for your time and energy. Have a nice day! 🤍
Hey , you too have a nice nice day and here's for you :
these are very important questions tho I'm giving you advice through my cards please consider your own judgements before since it's your life, I shall convey what the cards mean to say
For your options
1. If you choose this you will have more stability in your life , like financial n stuff faster.
2. If you choose you'll find your decision illogical later
3. Fame is in for this and lot of success and re establishment but you have lot of hurdles.
4. This will be a fair choice of pros and cons
For your career path change:
It will feel very good powerful and empowering in the start , in the middle you feel get these feelings of seclusion like you choose the wrong path and a feeling like leaving you may even change again , but on the other hand if you continue with this choice you will be a leader in what you do , your finances might not be the best at the start , by the later part you might start donating in orphanages and it will make you have less attachments to the physical needs and would likely make you more spiritual
Hope it helped <3

{ elili aaran | 29 years old | cis female - she/her | plastic surgeon | pilar point }
Born in India to a single mother, Elili was born using the Tamil tradition of naming children. Her first name is legally Aaran (her ‘alleged’ father’s first name) but she has always gone by the more feminine and given name Elili. After moving to the states, her mother enrolled her in all school and other programs as ‘Elili Aaran’ and so aside from legal documents, she is Eli.
When Elili was three, her mother made the hard decision to leave India for what she thought would be greener pastures. Her mother had found herself pregnant at the age of 36 after a rather tumultuous affair with a local political insider and immediately was shunned by her family. It wasn’t a good look to be single and childless in her 30’s, but it was even worse to be single and pregnant so when the opportunity became available to move to the states for a job with LAX, Eli’s mum jumped at the chance.
Eli loved schooling from the moment she was enrolled in preschool and excelled quickly in her reading and comprehension. Eli’s mother always pushed her to focus on her studies, sometimes to Eli’s detriment as she had trouble making friends during her schooling.
It was hammered into her that she should be ready to take over the responsibilities of being the head of the household from an early age considering how old her mother had been when Eli was born and the child always took that to heart. She was fourteen when she got her first job (a part time gas station attendant) and contributed to paying bills for their home from the moment she cashed her first cheque.
Eli excelled in all things science related in high school and after a conversation with one of her favourite teachers, Eli decided to focus her education pursuits on becoming a doctor. Surely that would help her finance the later years of her mother’s life so she figured it was the best career choice. Her mother was elated to hear she was planning on pursuing medicine and began encouraging Eli to work more hours during high school so she could save money for college.
She would spend her days at school and her evenings at work, making sure to keep up with her studies while the gas station wasn’t all that busy. One evening she found several scholarship programs and began preparing her applications to help her afford the sizeable tertiary study she was hoping to undergo. With a letter of recommendation from all four of her science teachers and an essay on how she had grown up under pressure and overcome the odds of their situation thanks to her mothers passion, Eli was awarded a full scholarship to the New York Institute of Technology and promptly moved across the other side of the country to complete her studies. Her mother stated in California and Eli continued to send money from her new job in a bodega back to her mother each month she was away.
When Eli finished college, she decided to move back to California and take a residency job in a plastic surgery clinic just outside of Half Moon Bay. As her mother turned 60, it became increasingly aware to Eli that the older woman’s health was in severe decline and after a few tests prompted by Eli’s medical training, she was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimers. Eli immediately moved her mother into a care facility close to Half Moon Bay and rented herself a house in the Bay so she was nice and close to her mother at all times.
As much as Eli would love to do reconstructive surgeries for those who’ve been in accidents, she knows the real money is in cosmetic plastic surgery, fixing’ noses, stomachs and breasts for people in LA who have too much money. For now, she is focussed on paying people she trusts to look after her mother as her Health continues to decline.
