📢 ANNOUNCEMENT 📢
She can grant your wishes, cure your wounds, even bestow untold power, if you’re willing to pay the price. Should you be so brave - or so desperate - you can find her deep in the forest, where even most animals dare not go.
Or so the story goes.
Mamó has long since forgotten herself, and even longer since stopped caring what tales fearful parents tell their children. She remembers not where she came from, the people she knew, nor even her own name.
_
Introducing Forest Keeper, a cozy farming/crafting sim following Mamó, a bog witch who lost her identity long ago in a mysterious fae deal, as she rediscovers herself through caring for others. Forest Keeper allows the player to harvest and craft at their own pace, with an engaging story of familial love, processing grief, and mending ties.
⚗️ Brew potions and hexes for curious patrons. 🌱 Experience self-sufficiency foraging mushrooms and harvesting ingredients on your farm. 🍄 Follow the story and enter Tír na nÓg, the otherworld realm. 🦊 Undo past mistakes and mend ties with a mysterious fae and a guardian fox.
Forest Keeper is our first chapter of stories honoring Irish Celtic lore and mythology, inspired by our favorite games and the stories we have been told.
Coming to Steam and itch.io end of 2024! Follow our development journey on itch and join our Discord!
And yes, you can pet the fox.

The Crafty Brewing Company Irish Craft Stout: Like a very nutty chocolate stout than anything else. Very good and filling, can easily see why it won awards. Good for a session. Recommended and a good alternative to Guinness.

Understanding Carbohydrates and Beer

How to Choose the Right Low Carb Beer
When selecting a low carb beer, it's important to consider your personal preferences and health goals. Start by checking the nutritional information provided on the label or brewery's website. Look for beers with lower carbohydrate and calorie counts while still offering the taste and characteristics you enjoy.
Low Carb Beer and Weight Loss
For individuals aiming to shed extra pounds, low carb beer can be a helpful tool. By reducing the carbohydrate and calorie intake from beer, you can create a calorie deficit and potentially support weight loss efforts. However, it's crucial to keep moderation in mind and consider the overall balance of your diet.
Low Carb Beer and Diabetes
People with diabetes often need to monitor their carbohydrate intake to manage their blood sugar levels effectively. Low carb beer can be a suitable choice for individuals with diabetes, as it provides a beer option with fewer carbohydrates that are less likely to cause blood sugar spikes.
Low Carb Beer and Blood Sugar Levels
Even for individuals without diabetes, managing blood sugar levels is essential for overall health. Low carb beer can help maintain stable blood sugar levels since it contains fewer carbohydrates. However, it's still important to consume alcohol in moderation and be aware of any individual reactions.
Low Carb Beer and Taste
One common misconception about low carb beer is that it compromises on taste. However, many breweries have invested in creating flavourful low carb options that can rival traditional beers. With a wide range of styles and flavours available, there's likely a low carb beer that suits your taste preferences.
Low Carb Beer and Hangovers
Excessive alcohol consumption can lead to unpleasant hangovers, regardless of the beer's carbohydrate content. While low carb beer may be gentler on the body due to its lower alcohol content, responsible drinking practices and moderation are still crucial to minimize the risk of hangovers.
Low Carb Beer and Alcohol Content
Low carb beer often has a lower alcohol content compared to regular beer. This can be advantageous for individuals who prefer a milder buzz or those who want to limit their alcohol intake. However, it's important to note that alcohol content can vary among different brands and styles of low carb beer.
Tumblr media
Drinking Low Carb Beer Responsibly
When enjoying low carb beer, responsible consumption is key. Set personal limits, be mindful of your alcohol intake, and always prioritize your health and well-being. Additionally, consider alternatives such as non-alcoholic or alcohol-free beer if you prefer to avoid alcohol entirely.
Is Low Carb Beer for Everyone?
While low carb beer can be a great option for many individuals, it may not be suitable for everyone. It's important to consider your specific health needs, dietary restrictions, and personal preferences. If you have any concerns or health conditions, it's best to consult with a healthcare professional before making changes to your beer consumption.

Hosted by Schlafly Beer, the Stout & Oyster Festival returns March 24th & March 25th, 2023.
Tumblr media
Press Release
ST. LOUIS, MO (Feb. 27, 2023) — Schlafly Beer, the original, independent craft brewery in St. Louis, announces the highly anticipated return of its annual Stout & Oyster Festival on Friday, March 24, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday, March 25, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the historic Schlafly Tap Room (2100 Locust St, St. Louis, MO 63103). Schlafly’s Stout & Oyster Festival is the largest of its kind in the Midwest. Schlafly flies in over 80,000 oysters overnight from both coasts, hosts 20 seasoned oyster shuckers to shuck oysters live all weekend, and brews more than 10 stouts exclusively for the popular festival.
This year brings new stouts, stories from the star shuckers, live music, and more. Click here to view a short video to get a taste of the festival fun. Schlafly works directly with oyster farmers, chefs, and more from across North America who attend the festival as the “star shuckers,” shucking oysters on-site all weekend. The event is free to attend, and guests pay for their preferred food and beer. To see complete details about Schlafly’s Stout & Oyster Festival, click here.
“Stout & Oyster Festival brings the community together to celebrate great beer paired with fresh oysters. It’s a special time for us, and a tradition that we look forward to every year,” says CEO Fran Caradonna. “No one else in the Midwest has an oyster festival of this magnitude, and stouts and oysters are a natural pairing. We are so proud to have this event as a Schlafly staple.”
The talented Schlafly brewing team will offer nine new stouts, available in the signature “tasting taco” (see below), as well as rotating specialty stouts throughout the festival such as: Tabasco Stout, Horseradish Stout, Barrel-Aged Imperial Beast Stout, English Breakfast Tea Stout, Irish Breakfast Cream Stout, Orange Vanilla Stout, Blueberry Vanilla Stout, Dirty Chai Stout, Gingersnap Stout, and more. Other Schlafly favorite beers will also be available, including White Lager, Just a Bit Hazy IPA, Pale Ale, Raspberry Hefeweizen, and more. Sustainability Values through Coffee
Welcome to Greenway Brews, where your cup of coffee is brewed with purpose and a pinch of eco-consciousness. Nestled along Waterford's Greenway route, we’re more than just a coffee stop. We're a pitstop for families, adventurers and a sustainability hub for anyone seeking to make a difference with each sip.
Tumblr media
Our Green Philosophy
Sustainability isn’t just a buzzword here; it’s the backbone of everything we do. From our repurposed container café to our eco-friendly packaging, every detail is designed with the planet in mind. Our mantra? Small changes, big impact. At Greenway Brews, we're dedicated to making changes to better the world; one cup at a time!
Coffee Grounds: Not just for your cup
Did you know your used coffee grounds can be a superpower for your garden? Here at Greenway Brews, we offer our used coffee grounds for our patrons to take home. Coffee grounds are rich in nitrogen, making them ideal for plant beds and compost piles. Our community loves this little recycling tip—give it a try!
Tumblr media
Did you know? GREEN EDITION
"Three-quarters of Irish coffee consumers want their coffee to be sustainable. 65% own a reusable cup, with 23% saying they will sacrifice a caffeine hit if they have forgotten their reusable cup"- Liquidline Ireland
"One in three Irish people now buys a coffee at least once a day – an increase of 10 per cent on the previous year according to a 2017 survey of 1,011 people"- Jennifer O'Connell The Irish Times
"22,000 coffee cups are discarded hourly in Ireland, equating to 528,000 cups daily, which totals at 200 million annually"- Ecoset Founders Oscar & Sarah
"In 2021, Bewley's Coffee Consumption Report found that 78% of Irish adults drank coffee each day"- Adam Maguire RTÉ
Tumblr media
Sustain-a-Brew; What we do to make changes
Reduce, Reuse, Reward!
We encourage consumers to bring their own reusable cups by giving them a discount on their coffee. This tiny incentive helps to minimize the amount of disposable cups used on a daily basis, reducing waste and encouraging environmentally responsible practices
Compostable & Recyclable Packaging
All of our takeout cups, lids, straws, and food packaging are completely compostable or recyclable. We're dedicated to ensuring that every aspect of your takeaway experience has as little environmental impact as possible
Fair Trade Coffee & Locally Sourced Ingredients
To lower our carbon impact and help the Irish economy, we prioritise purchasing our products from fair trade coffee vendors. Buying local, from milk to baked goods for our snack range guarantees fresher ingredients and fewer food miles
Energy-Efficient Practices
Our store has been equipped with energy-efficient lighting and appliances, which cuts energy use by up to 20%. To further reduce our environmental effect, we train our team on energy-saving techniques such as shutting off equipment when it is not in use
Tumblr media
Eco Friendly Swaps you can make at Home
Making sustainable choices at Greenway Brews is easy, but there are so many little tweaks you can try at home too. We recommend reusable cups, ditching plastic straws, and using re-usable containers instead of disposables / tin foil. Looking to start your sustainability journey? Check out the poster below for some simple starting points to living a more sustainable lifestyle
Tumblr media
Sustainable Brunch Boxes at Greenway Brews
Our Brunch Boxes are crafted for families, adventurers, cyclists, and picnic-lovers alike. Filled with locally sourced goodies, they’re ideal for anyone looking to refuel on the go. Pre-order for your family's day-trip, or swing by to grab one for your trip along the Greenway. Each eco-friendly box is made from 100% recyclable material, ensuring minimal impact on the planet. Enjoy a delicious, guilt-free experience knowing your meal is as green as your adventure.
You can find more information on our products and services in our recent blog post here

Final Sip: Making Sustainability Simple
At Greenway Brews, we believe in simple, meaningful changes—one cup at a time. Whether you're here for a quick coffee, a family outing, or to stock up on eco-tips, we're thrilled to have you join our journey to a greener, healthier planet.
Have you made any changes at home? Or maybe you have some helpful tips we missed? We'd love to hear from you in the comments
