( read more ) synopsis — the only hard part about being natasha's girlfriend is keeping it so on the down low that men like steve take forever to give up on you. warnings — female reader x natasha romanoff, flirty steve rogers, a little bit suggestive, fluff.

"hey there" steve's cocky voice echoes inside the quinjet as he leans against the metal wall. "i was thinking… we should go out for once. to a club. not sure you'd like that, romanoff, but yeah" the way natasha's eyes lift up to watch him as he waits for an answer from you makes you smile to yourself.

"we're good" the redhead says.

you're not so sure she is, given how she sounds. "i don't know, i've been tired. think i'll go back to my room soon anyway" you say, trying to escape him.

but he's too full of himself to take a hint. "nah, your room isn't going anywhere… i'm sure we can find something fun to do together. your life has been too serious lately, hasn't it?"

natasha nearly gags beside you. his tone… his look. his blind confidence. fun? wait until he finds out how much fun you have with your romanoff after midnight.

steve reaches for your glass of wine and takes a sip; natasha squirms in her seat, clearly uncomfortable, watching as his eyes stay locked on yours while he swallows.

"no, steve, i do have fun" you mumble.

"please, be honest" he persists, placing the glass back next to you. "when was the last time you took a break?" he steps closer, his voice lowering. "when was the last time you went on a date? you're always so busy. and now you're gonna rest again, this early? that's kinda grandma of you."

you can almost feel the heat radiating off natasha's body.

"she just works hard, dumbass. and, thankfully, you're never around when she loosens up, because trust me, she knows how to have fun" natasha cuts him off sharply.

steve's eyes narrow as her words hit him, caught off guard but not as intimidated as he should be. "oh, really?" he says, his tone cooling slightly, though his ego is a little bit bruised. "and how would you know about her loosening up, nat? aren't you ever buried under paperwork?"

"let's just say i know a thing or two about unwinding. just be happy the walls are thick, rogers" she replies with a playful yet menacing smile; her face is smooth and lovely, but there's an undertone of danger that makes your chest flutter in the nicest way possible. "we should go, hm?" she tells you, and you nod quietly.

"yeah, it's getting late" you say. and your night's about to get good, steve finally understands.

his eyes widen as the realization sinks in, glancing between the two of you, struggling to keep his face neutral but failing as it flushes with embarrassment. "shit, you two… you're…" he stutters, unable to find the right words, and natasha waits patiently for them, but he can't bring himself to utter them out. "nevermind. go, have a good time!" he starts walking out, now not only shocked but also slightly fearful for his life.

I know Wake is descended from people who lived in NZ or at least chose NZ as the country to honor from Earth, but this woman’s Irish energy is off the charts no its not about the hair I’ll kill you if you think it’s that do you understand what I mean. She is running the Space IRA against the Imperial House of Dominicus (“United” Kingdom) Also Catholicism references. Blood of Eden.

I've seen people say that the line "When Wiggly comes" in Wiggle is on the tune of Carol of the Bells, which I mean, yeah, it is, but I haven't really seen anyone point out that these are also the notes of the Dies Irae. When people notice the motif, they first go with Carol of the Bells, the song that is now associated with Christmas, which pretty much fits and works with Black Friday. But yet, it's never mentioned along the fact that those four notes are also the Dies Irae, the motif of death and impending doom.

Wiggle has that Christmas-y vibe and leads to people first thinking of Carol of the Bells, and I feel like that is just an extra of what the main point of using that motif is. The notes are there for the Dies Irae as a principal.

"We will build a portal just for when Wiggly comes" The motif is here to represent an omen. That if Wiggly came, his acts to take over the world will most likely lead to the death of everyone, it would be an unstoppable threat if nothing was done before he came through the portal.

You can add Carol of the Bells as part of it, but Dies Irae will be it's reason to be there.

I remember on the run-up to the release of Harry Styles' 2022 film MY POLICEMAN a critic I followed on Twitter would rave in reminiscence of seeing the love scene at some pre-screening and how revolutionary it was. Then when the film was released he walked back his raves because it wasn't how he remembered it and he admitted to maybe over-egging it because he was so happy to see a a gay love scene.

But here's to films/tv shows that don't over-egg. That don't gas up the sex scenes so that when viewers finally see it they'd be like

Instead they could be pleasantly surprised much like I was when I saw Ira Sach's PASSAGES

and the Paramount+ limited series FELLOW TRAVELERS.

Ben Whishaw, I have too much respect for you to nearly stare into your bumhole. I lreserve that for when I'm watching Aaron Taylor-Johnson in SAVAGES.

If only the relationship between Ben and Franz's characters was this wholesome in the film.

-Ben is rumoured to be dating his THIS IS GOING TO HURT costar Kadiff Kirwan of MY POLICEMAN and currently in SLOW HORSES and the charming C4 comedy EVERYONE ELSE BURNS (which is airing in the US on the CW).

Next up for Ben?

Netflix's thriller BLACK DOVES where he will play the longtime confidante of Keira Knightley's Helen.

-He has a short film that people are hoping for Oscars consideration, which will be tough when Wes Anderson's quartet of short films

are out there, but surely it's better than the pair of Pedro Almodovar's short films STRANGE WAY OF LIFE and THE HUMAN VOICE

▌ㅤNATASHA ROMANOFF — STRAWBERRY CAKE

( read more ) synopsis — you attempt to piss natasha off over and over in the simplest ways to get her to talk to you, but all she thinks is that you look adorable trying so hard to steal a glance from her. warnings — none, just fluff.

natasha glances at you with a look that would send a shiver down your spine. the reason? the slice of cake you stole from her. why would you do that? because that's the only thing that seems to get her attention on you — annoying her. "wasn't my name literally written on that slice, y/n?" you nod. "why'd you take it, then? are you illiterate all of a sudden?"

"no, just very hungry, and rogers stole my dessert, so" you shrug off your fear and take another spoonful of her tasty, soft strawberry cake. "i don't really like strawberry, to be honest, but this is really good."

natasha chuckles. "i see. have it then, princess."

and there you have it. princess. the butterflies go wild in your stomach whenever she says that or looks at you for more than five seconds. it's silly. it's almost childish. and it's worth it, risking crossing a line.

"why do you keep doing that, though?" she questions.

"doing what?"

"these little things. stealing my blanket. my jacket. my drink" natasha never really questioned you about that before, so now you freeze on the spot. you stop chewing. you swallow the strawberry in your mouth almost whole. "you're not a kleptomaniac, and i'm not stupid. what's going on? are you needy or something?"

you nearly choke.

"why would that have anything to do with you?"

she grins. "because you blush every time i say 'keep it then, princess', 'enjoy it, princess'. you kinda fold. it's cute" her smile doesn't fade a single bit, and she takes the fork from your hand to have a bite of the cake. "don't think you want my things, though, i think you want me. and there's no need to be shy to ask, you know?" natasha places a strand of hair behind your ear. "stop feeding your kleptomaniac tendencies, alright? i'm here whenever you feel ready."

with that, natasha just leaves the room and an astonished you behind. you don't even feel hungry anymore, the butterflies exploding one by one in your stomach. have you been that obvious all this time? and how come she sounds like she really has nothing against that?
