Ionel Talpazan (1955 – 2015)

A self-taught visionary artist from Romania, Ionel Talpazan lived in New York where he filled his small studio apartment with art inspired by his visions of UFOs. Having filled the space with huge brightly coloured canvases, sculptures, and large diagrams revealing the inner working of UFOs, Talpazan estimated he had created more than 1,000 works.

At the age of seven Talpazan ran away from his foster parents, having had a foster mother who drank heavily and used to beat him. Whilst hiding in a ditch beneath a metal grate in a field, he saw an otherworldly blue light surround him. He was completely altered by this incident, feeling certain afterwards that the experience had been associated with a UFO, and by the age of twelve he had made hundreds of UFO drawings.

Talpazan often wrote his thoughts and theories around his images, crowding the surface with text written in Romanian, English and his own hybrid language. Depicting cosmic wonder and freedom allowed him to escape the difficulties of his life. Talpazan viewed his work as a combination of art and science and he dreamt of sharing his visions and theories with NASA scientists and government officials, in order to explore and develop UFO technologies.

~ Mulberry ~ 最淳樸的「英國風味」

「這將會是立足於當下新風潮的傳統」，Mulberry的創意總監Johnny Coca提到，於是秀場上魚貫而出的模特紛紛成為了那個從祖母的衣櫥里精心篩選服裝，再以自己的態度將它們穿上身的摩登英國女孩們。

以英國貴族生活方式和風尚格調為靈感，Mulberry的新系列將不同年代的傳承拼貼在了一起，又增添了自己時代的印記。修長的線條和簡易的腰身借鑑了上世紀20年代愛德華時期的刺繡蕾絲組合。帶有傳統色彩的棕色格紋被運用於Oversized西裝大衣上，或製成以馬鞍褥為靈感的夾絮長披肩。盛裝舞步馬術為側鞍剪裁半身裙帶來靈感，裙身的不對稱設計搭配略微收腰的夾克以及袖口和衣領均採用薄綢繫結的襯衫，渲染著飄逸柔美的氣息。

無論是大色塊的絲綢單品，撞色的針織長裙，或者是帶有繁複刺繡的純色長裙，大膽的色彩則賦予了系列以更鮮明的���場。皇家紫色與薄荷色、淡紫色、長春���藍色以及瓦利斯藍等珠光淡彩色令人眼前一亮，那些帶有褶皺的動物和英倫玫瑰印花上衣及半身裙，更是華麗又浪漫。

配飾依然是Mulberry系列中畫龍點睛的部分，以馬靴為參照的長筒靴，以沃利斯藍、薄荷綠和薰衣草紫等呈現出了英氣又少女的感覺。鞋履則採用短平上翹鞋頭搭配結實的窄跟，令人不禁聯想起鞋面鏤空系帶的蘇格蘭吉利鞋。再加之那些復古的珠寶配飾：看起來像是馬上要散落的珍珠耳環、印有逼真肖像畫的珍珠母碎片、手鐲內嵌破裂的瓷器碎片、水晶葉片，還有用水晶大量裝飾的墨鏡，Mulberry打造了一個懷舊、貴氣卻又富有未完成的輕鬆姿態的女孩衣櫥。

手袋方面，Johnny Coca在借鑑傳統行李包的基礎上，讓人聯想到帽盒和英倫皮箱的睿智優雅，款式柔軟易疊；以絎縫細節對經典的Bayswater進行重新設計，賦予其新意；配有手柄的Amberley質量上乘。

「Process. Process. Process,」秀場背景音中一位女 孩不斷吶喊著。 這一季Christopher Kane想要打造的是一種更為堅韌的女孩魅力，正如他在新聞稿中所說，他想用這個系列表達了對女孩工人和實驗室技工的敬佩。Kane將目光投向了 「抽象的廓形、強硬的角度、犀利的缺口以及制服和實用性」。

由此在這個系列中呈現的還有科技感與歷史感的交織，Kane以富有英國老牌的蓋恩斯博格絲綢重新打造了1970年代法國新古典主義風格的��緞，而對傳統帶亮光的平紋布塔夫綢的使用則一方面反應了布料可以呈現的科技感，另一方面探索了布料發展的歷史。

在此之外，Kane使用了紐約藝術家Ionel Talpazan的抽象街頭風格化作為印花絲綢寬杉的印花，並使用3D效果的花朵裝飾裝飾於大色塊的單品上，賦予了這個系列更加前衛又光彩照人。

而更為前衛的還有Kane在新系列中呈現的鞋履設計，他不僅延續了上一季對Crocs拖鞋的使用，將它們和皮草結合，更創新性地使用塑料海綿裝飾於高跟鞋的前掌與後掌接觸面。

Ionel Talpazan, Master UFO Painter, 1955-2015

Ionel Talpazan was born in Romania. He was raised by foster parents in a small village. At the age of eight, a particular event altered his life : he saw a flying saucer. Once he became an adult, a friend suggested to him to flee the country. This decision resulted in adventures full of danger : a night-time swim across the Danube, imprisonments, threats of deportation etc. Granted political asylum in the United States, Ionel Talpazan settled in New York and took up drawing and painting. He also began creating plaster models of UFO’s. His UFO art has filled the entire apartment, he has only kept a small space to eat. Talpazan remains convinced that soon scientists working for NASA will become interested in his drawings that contain the secrets of propulsion systems allowing UFO’s to move great distance. Many of his drawings contain writings, the majority in Romanian. On the backside of certain drawings, Talpazan adds images of the Statue of Liberty together with his hand prints, thus documenting his experience of America.
